Describe your activity on the server:
I'm fairly active. I have more free time nowadays than I know what to do with, and I tend to come on here as much as I'm available for, so I'm seen around quite frequently.
Do you acknowledge that if you are inactive you will be demoted?:
I understand
School Employee Role you are applying for?:
Chef
In as much detail as possible, describe the employee role you are applying for:
The School Chefs are the individuals responsible in the nutrition and hygiene of food served to students. They should plan, prepare, cook, and serve all of the food in a friendly manner, making sure everyone is given a balanced diet, and enough food to give them energy for the day. They also must make sure to keep the area clean, as to prevent spread of disease or infection.
What experience, in general, do you have in roleplay?:
In roleplay, I have quite a lot of experience, having been involved in detailed roleplay, worldbuilding and storybuilding for the past few years. I've already played this server about a year, maybe a bit more, and enjoy taking part in primarily detailed roleplay. I love putting work into characters and stories, spending a lot of time writing about each, and do my best to make an immersive experience for those I roleplay with.
Why do you want to join the School Employee faction?:
I've been in the School faction a couple times now, and have loved spending time with the colleague roles there. The people are great and it's almost like a big family. They're fun to be around, and it gives me more to do when I'm playing on the server. Most of the time it's rather dull, and I can't decide on what to do, or what there is to do, so joining the faction again would give me a bit of an idea that I can build from.

Situations
During a work-shift a student starts cursing at you for being pathetic, how does your character react?:
Naturally, the first response taken would be to ask the student to lower their tone, and to stop cursing. The warning would be soft, and kept fair as to avoid coming off as ‘rude’ or ‘disrespectful. If this is where the situation stops, my character would keep going on with their day.
However, if the student is to continue there would be one, or two more warnings, being more firm with them, as to get the point across more clearly. There shouldn’t be much pressure put across, but simultaneously enough to ensure that this should not go on.
Finally, if this is to continue further, penalty and punishment will be given out according to what may be deemed necessary, which may be detentions, or further, depending on the exact language used and/or the situation, if it escalates or not.
You notice two students are physically fighting in the hallway, – multiple punches have been thrown – how does your character react?:
After processing what she's seeing, Fumuka would do her best to split the two two apart, calling in for other faculty in the time being, for the location, names, etcetera, just in case they decide to try run away.
Immediately after that, Fumuka would sit them down, separate from one another as to prevent further actions, and politely ask for the situation, what happened, reasonings, such as if it were self defence or not, and simultaneously checking for any injuries which may have been sustained from the fight. And probably give them a lollypop in the meantime. She'd take some mental notes of what they were saying, the key points, other people who may have been involved, etcetera.
After this, any names of witnesses would be brought in, and questioned just the same as the other two, and if it’s necessary, CCTV will be checked for proof, and assurance on what may have occurred. After this, detention slips would be handed to each of whom are to blame for failing to conduct themselves in an appropriate manner, fighting rather than talking in a civilised way, granted, that might be hard depending on the scenario, but still given detention regardless, and a warning of what may come if they decide to continue.
Another school employee is clearly acting inappropriately, doing something very dangerous on the job, how does your character react?:
Seeing something that might be dangerous, my character would approach with caution, as to not accidentally fall into potential danger themselves. She'd begin by asking what exactly it was they were doing, more as getting any reasoning than actually not seeing what was going on, as it was clearly not something that should be done on professional grounds.
Notes would be taken on what was seen, then what was told to them by the individual in question, putting them separate as to be left to compare. Being a little stricter with this obvious malpractice, Umeko would furrow her brow, and inform them of how clearly this is not suited for the time and place, before leaving to submit the newly written report.
When in the employee break room, how does your character act?
Umeko, entering the break room, would more than happily skip over to the fridge, where she'd bring out some milk and reach up for a glass, using a step stool where necessary, considering her small stature. She'd spend her break time sipping on the milk, chatting with some friends and colleagues about what's happened so far, get some comments, or just generally catch up with them. It would be a time to wind down in her eyes, and do her best to just collect herself, relax for a while before going back to preparing meals and just doing busywork generally.
Provide us with at least three detailed /me's of your character whilst on your chosen role:
/me immediately made his way getting to work, opening the fridge, cupboards, drawers, checking to be sure everything is in order, and even making sure she knows exactly where everything is, and where it should go. Ume moved to one of the sinks and began washing her hands, making sure to fully cleanse herself, almost ritualistically, before she even touched any of the ingredients. She started by preparing one of the vegan options, taking some oranges from the fridge, then taking a knife, which she inspected for its suitability. The lady began by placing one of the oranges onto the cutting board, and preparing her blade, forefinger and thumb on on the point of the blade just past the handle, and the rest of her fingers curled around for best grip and mobility, and she began cutting, first by carving the fruit in half, then cutting those halves into quarters, then so on until they’re in good sized slices, probably when they’re in eighths, and set them into a large glass bowl, ready to be split into smaller dishes. Then she repeated the process, afterall, she'd have more than just a few bowls to fill.
/me smiled, satisfied with having finished this period of serving, wiping her brow as she moved towards the cleaning cupboard, reaching to take out a spray bottle and a cloth, moving back to the main counter where she sprayed a few times, and then began wiping the counter down, having to get out of the booth and go around to reach the other end, and all the way around, leaving it all glistening, every part sparkling so bright you could see your reflection. After the counters were done, the woman would move to the sink, rinsing off her cloth before wringing it out to put away with the spray bottle. The next move was to go back to the sink, where she'd take trays the children had returned and begin washing them. She didn't know how to use dishwashers, her family had never had one, so they were more a 'big, scary, rumbling cube' to her. And in just a little bit of time, there were a pile of trays drying beside the sink as she began using an oil on the wooden cutting boards, because washing them leads to a ruin of their shape, then washing bowls, utensils, etcetera she had used in the process.
/me had come to decide that, in the mean time, the students should get an extra treat with their meals for the day. She'd go towards her personal locker, taking out some ingredients that she had purchased herself, and begin a new process. She'd form a dough, which was then kneaded and laced with chocolate chips, and perhaps fruits for a bit of extra health. The concoctions were put onto a floured board, and spread it out evenly, before dividing and forming balls of the dough. These were placed onto a tray and then pushed into the oven as the lady set a timer for when they'd be done. Occasionally, she'd pick out one treat in particular, poking and prodding it to check for 'done-ness'. The sacrifice. Or test subject. These treats would be slipped onto the tray with the food, for an extra dessert.

Backstory
Oh. My backstory? That’s a big question. I didn't expect to be asked this.
I was born Fumuka Yarikawa. My family; they were happy at first, I think. But when my hair started growing in properly, it was very pale. I have albinism, so my colouring never came in the way they expected. My family was rather traditional, and they worried. They thought I would grow up 'weird'. That no one would want to marry a girl who looked like me.
I was very small too. My mother carried a gene for dwarfism, and it passed on to me. So even as I grew, I didn’t grow much. And because I wasn’t... what they hoped for. I was neglected. Eventually I was sent into foster care in Karakura.
The first foster family didn’t really want me. They wanted the benefits. I lived mostly on instant noodles and leftovers. I didn’t know much about nutrition, or about schoolwork, or even about how other children lived. My body didn’t grow properly because of that. Malnutrition slowed everything down. Even now, I’m only about four feet tall. It made me look look younger than I really am. When I was fifteen, someone finally noticed the neglect. I was taken away and placed with a new family. They were kinder. Warmer. They gave me proper meals and a bed that felt like my own. I took their name. Umeko.
But by then, my body had already decided how much it would grow. It didn’t grow much more. I'm twenty-five now, and even a 7th grader is bigger than me.
Cooking started as a need, I think. I didn't really know if I was hungry when I was young, didn't know what it meant. So when I finally had access to real ingredients, I wanted to understand them. I wanted to make food that felt good. Soft bread. Sweet custards. Warm soups. I bake constantly now, and my cupboards are always full. It makes me feel happy. When people smile after tasting something I made, it makes me feel so much happier than ever.
Motivation for Joining KHS (Character perspective):
I didn’t have a normal school life growing up. When I was with my first foster family in Karakura, education wasn’t really a priority. I missed so much. I used to watch students walk by in their uniforms and wonder what it felt like to belong somewhere like that.
When I moved in with the Umeko family, they encouraged me to learn properly. Cooking became the way I caught up with the world. Recipes wree like lessons you can taste. Measurements taught me math. Fermentation taught me patience. Nutrition taught me what the body needs. I want to join as a chef because I want to be part of the school in the way I have come to love. The kitchen doesn’t care how tall you are. It cares about practise, and about the care you put into the food you make.
Why should you be accepted over the other applicants?:
You should accept me because cooking isn’t just a job to me. It’s something I've loved more than anything.
Other applicants may have better formal training. Taller bodies. Louder voices. But I understand hunger in a way that isn’t written in textbooks.
I don’t cook carelessly, I pay attention to nutrition carefully: balanced meals, gentle flavours, food that is made for the body. I know how ingredients affect energy and mood. A lunch isn’t just lunch. It’s fuel for the day. It’s stability for students who may not have it at home. I’m also incredibly dedicated. My cupboards at home are always full because I’m always testing recipes. I experiment constantly; trying soft milk breads for easy digestion, veggie soups that still taste rich, desserts that feel as amazing as they look and smell.
If Karakura wants someone who will treat every meal as something more than just food, then I believe I would be the right choice.
