I am on almost everyday roleplaying with friends and trying to make use of each character I have. I try to spread joy with the characters I have. I am never sure when I need to leave to help my family but I am still generally available most of the time. Albeit I have a lot of time, I am currently trying to move and for now will be focusing on that, but will still have time to make time on the server when I can and be active. Once I have moved, I will be on a ton more. I will note , however, that I had some crazy happenings on the server. Drama, a banishment, and some ill behavior. I wish to turn all that around and rebuild my reputation through trying other factions and making friends. I love this server and I wish to be a good part of it.

Librarians are here to help students find the literary content they are after. A school is used for learning and what better way to learn than books? As librarians, we help people organize, manage information, and more. It’s more than searching for a specific book, it’s about receiving help researching a specific topic the person is studying. Librarians know best on not only how to organize books, but which books to read to find what they are looking for. Schools are not the only setting for a library to be found. Universities, the public, and there are special ones for topics like law and medicine. Without librarians, it is impossible to find what we are looking for and organize. A library is more than just a room full of books.
What experience, in general, do you have in roleplay?:
I’ve roleplayed as a kid with family but that was just a kid’s game. I came into contact with roleplaying nearly 10 years ago when I had some players on a creative server invite me to play with them. I was given a random role and I loved every second of it. I also found a server, somewhat dedicated to it but it wasn't serious. Since then I was always interested in the idea of roleplaying till I discovered SchoolRP. Two and a half years ago I began my career in roleplaying seriously and creating a character in detail from scratch. I loved every second of it and I admit I was never sure where it would lead to. Through roleplaying I discovered I can write and refine those skills and decided to write and publish books. Discovering this server changed my life forever.
Why do you want to join the School Employee faction?:
I wish to contribute to the server in any way I can. Doing so will allow me to have a part of the server that isn't just a student. I wish to turn my reputation around and do some good. Being a librarian will allow me to work with books and help students icly and oocly, which is important for learning. People need books. I love books and wish to participate in anything that involves books. I've been a voracious reader since I was 13.
Helping out and being a part of the server in this way will prove I have changed for the better. This isn’t the only reason as I really want to help in some ways. I've been on this server for 2 and a half years and since I found a server I can be apart of, I want to keep my name as clean as I can and do my best to keep this server safe and fun.
I want this server to be a fun and safe place for players to come on and enjoy at any time. Doing even a small part, albeit a simple librarian, will help in a small way. Even being a good role model will do good as I'm an older member and I want to show younger players how to be a good SRP player and how to be apart of the server.

Situations
During a work-shift a student starts cursing at you for being pathetic, how does your character react?:
John does not tolerate disrespect of any kind. John is a patient man, he will calmly wait for the student to finish with his or her outburst. He will then remind the student that swearing is against the rules and will give warnings on the swearing. When the child swears numerous times, Three at most, he will send the student to detention. John will lay down the law and stay consistent. Not doing so will let kids know you are soft and they will walk all over you in return. Swearing is not tolerated by John, so he will intervene when someone swears. He wants to keep such vulgar language out of the ears of his niece, albeit she is 18.
John, having ways he taught his own kids he's responsible for, not to swear, introduced the swearing jar. This method is indeed old but effective. John understands that everyone has feelings. Sometimes these feelings lead to saying something you dont mean or even if you do mean them, it's still harsh. John would let the student know that he understands they are feeling negative feelings and how their words affect the other person.
If the student is one who swears like a sailor, John would simply state that swearing, nonetheless is against the school rules. Breaking rules lead to consequences that fall in line with the appropriate action.
You notice two students are physically fighting in the hallway, – multiple punches have been thrown – how does your character react?:
John will call for help on the radio and stay and attempt to deescalate the situation best he can till help arrives. John cares about the students he is tasked to look after and provide the books they seek. Patience is key, getting in between the students to separate them can help but who knows if that will last long. This is why calling for help over the radio is wise. Once separated, and calmed down, John will ask what is going on, one student at a time. Once the students tell what happened, John will send them to the nurse/detention as needed. The students would possibly be hurt. Safety is important.
Another school employee is clearly acting inappropriately, doing something very dangerous on the job, how does your character react?:
John cares about his co-workers and does not want to see anything happening to them, getting into trouble included. He will approach the employee and ask nonchalantly, what they are doing. Doing this will surprise or embarrass the person into stopping. John will proceed to mention it to an SLT or any other higher up and will leave it in their hands. This shows patience and prevents panic as provoking panic can escalate the situation and possibly make the situation more dangerous. John will do anything to keep those he works side by side with, safe and out of trouble. Of course, it's also wise to keep one's nose out of other's business, but he tries his best. John will back away when he sees he is intruding.
John will help in any way he can albeit his intervention is either not needed or none of his concern. Either way, John cares about his co-workers.
When in the employee break room, how does your character act?
John isn’t a social man, however he tries to make conversation best he can. Other than that, he will really just have coffee and grab a bite to eat periodically when hungry. He will check bulletin boards and anything else like that to see what there is to do or make sure he is up to date with what is going on during the school day. Listening to the radio will help with that as well. Paperwork is very important to do on breaks as well. Over all, he will stay alert in case he is needed in between going to his post, and breaks.
Breaks are needed and John is getting up there in age and having an autistic niece, he needs rest. Sitting and having a coffee or having lunch rather than socializing is what is needed most on his breaks. Though he will stay alert enough to hear when he's needed. Being available is important on a job. It doesn't matter what job that is. Be available and put in the effort that is expected of you.

Let out a dreaded sigh as he walked into the school building, completely unaware of what would happen next. His morning was already chaotic, however the next hour would drain his mental energy. “My niece needs to eat” He repeated under his breath over and over, as he faced various challenges that morning. “John,! You’re late!” His boss exclaimed the moment he stepped into the faculty lounge. John let out a sigh. “My autistic niece was having a hard time getting ready for the day! What was I supposed to do, leave her home to deal with this alone? She can’t be left alone!” John said, visibly angry, yet he kept his composure. “She’s 18! She can take care of herself!” His boss exclaimed. “Now get to work!” Defeated, John had no choice but to get to work.

Would check his watch as he sat down at his station and scanned around the room in search of students approaching to seek assistance. “How many will come today?” He thought to himself before he began his paperwork. Once finished a student arrives at the counter asking for a book he’s never heard of before. “I’ve never even heard of that book, what makes you think we have it?” He asked, bewildered. “Well this is a library! Check again!” The student replied. John gets increasingly frustrated. “Look, Either get out or find a book we do have!” John let out an exasperated sigh as he went to organize some files.

Checked his watch once more, with 10 minutes left he hoped no one would come seeking help. John realized he spoke too soon when his eyes followed a girl walking into the room. He let out a sigh as she walked up to the counter. She asked for a rare book that took nearly 10 minutes to search for. With time left on the clock, he found it and rang it up and handed the student her book. Would let out a sigh as he finished with his last student for the day. “She’s all worth it..” He thought to himself as he thought of his niece, Nadine. Albeit the job was stressful, he still loved working there.

Backstory
John was born on a farm along with his siblings where his parents worked the kids to the bone. His parents were cheap and overall there was never enough time to pursue his hobby. His parents had always been abusive and neglectful and never gave enough money for groceries alone let alone books. John was unhappy as he and his siblings never had an education due to their parents’ neglectful nature.
One fateful day, a tragedy occurred leaving only John and his sister Emily to fend for themselves. They traversed the country in search of a home only to live out of trashcans and sleep on benches. The kids were only 13 and 15. They found a ferry they saw was leaving the dock out of the country. They thought it would be better in a new country. Not knowing where they were headed or the circumstances in Japan, they were blissfully looking forward to their new life.
John has always loved reading and writing since he was a child. Circumstances had changed much later in life once he and his sister arrived in Japan. He got a job to support them waiting tables at 16 years old and used the extra money he didn't need for rent and groceries to get the necessary supplies for his hobby.
John has been writing everyday ever since he moved to Japan. He has written a few books on autism to spread awareness as he has an autistic niece. John became a teacher in his early 30s and left the position in his early 40s. John let a respectable academic career and being unemployed, he knew he needed a job and to support his niece and keep their home so he found a job he could get that was flexible with time and money. He can keep an eye on his niece during school and pay the bills.
Motivation for Joining KHS (Character perspective):
I had always loved to read and write ever since I was a child. The position being something I enjoy being around and its flexibility, allows me to not only feed and house my niece and keep an eye on her, but to be a part of the community and school. I miss being a part of this school and being a teacher. However, being a librarian is the next best position available. The most motivation was my beloved niece. I need to support her and make sure she’s fed and safe and happy.
Why should you be accepted over the other applicants?:
I am a hard working man and get things done the second I am given the job. I make an effort to get along with my coworkers and I am easy going. I don't let anything get in the way of doing my job. I don't question the orders I am given and if I end up in a position leaving me drained and unsure what to do, I make do with what I have and will get the job done no matter what. I love my niece and I will do anything I can to keep her happy and healthy.
I have been on multiple jobs since I was in my teens and I know how to get a job done efficiently. It's best to give your all and be available no matter what job you're on. It doesn't matter if you're a janitor or the CEO, do your literal best and push yourself over what you know you can do. Set examples, put yourself out there, step outside your comfort zone and be ready at all times. You never know who might need you or why or when or where. You learn from doing jobs and pushing yourself.
