How to Get Perms (Unofficial Guide)

Some people are confused about how to get perms and what and how to get their gang activities done en masse; most, if not all, of the time, it starts with one simple motive, then minors, then majors, then kill permissions.

And No Gang RP isn't ruined because you can't kill people so here are ways to get perms.


All perms last 7 days unless consented.

Basically anything that could start a real-life fight and it's confirmed by staff to be a good motive.

Minors
Assault
Snitching to KPD

Getting knocked out inside school
Getting Arrested for a Misdemeanour (Perms on KPD)

Majors
Weapon Mug
Getting knocked out outside school

How To Prevent Getting Attacked
Masks
Without a mask blackouts are useless and your identity can be seen by others
Masks are used to hide identities and they sometimes have stats

Blackouts
Blackouts or unrecognizable attire helps you stay unidentified, making catching such criminals impossible by karakura police department without physically locating them through calls and CCTV; they usually go around masks

Using CCTV to get someone arrested or caught in 4K

CCTV can be used to get someone arrested, though it's a dirty tactic in gang roleplay and it should only be used in passive civilian stuff; it can make you look like a snitch if you are a gang member though it's good if you are trying to roleplay passive factions like teaching or sports.

Staying in Groups
If you stay in groups like gangs, it's harder to get hurt, but it's frankly not impossible. I frankly took advantage of gangs looking away the slightest second and getting revenge on a gang leader who wronged me in character

Stalking is what i do when it comes to gang roleplay or combat rp to get revenge; at the right time i think more tactically and long-term so i can get more activities done effectively keep in mind if someone is always watching if you mess up in character.

Though it's best if you want to survive longer to stay in large groups, it will just only delay the initial fight because it takes more planning and preparation for an enemy to attack you if you stay in groups, like, let's say, with an active gang.

Hiding in Apartments
Gang Rpers sometimes do this and its less annoying than police custody, in my opinion so i think hiding in apartments is a valid tactic as long as you don't do it too much; then it gets as annoying as police custody


Driving around
Driving around sometimes makes you pretty much impossible to catch; as long as roadblocks don't happen, you are pretty much safe and i do this sometimes but occasionally stop to give other thugs a chance at stabbing me.

Police Custody
I absolutely despise this tactic but it's a way to prevent getting killed or major injuries. if people ever do this, I'll most likely cut them off and not do perms with them physically unless it's reasonable, like kps. In my opinion, instead of 7 days of police custody, it should be decreased to 5 so at least the attacker has, like, around 2 days to attack back

Running
One of my most used tactics after a crime gone wrong, which sometimes ends in success, is the most commonly used tactic: to run away physically, using legs to escape an enemy, often trying to outmanoeuvre each thug

Masks Section

Plastic – Cheap and is Pretty Shit

No Stats

Gas Mask – Looks Cool

Can block peper spray

Ballistic Mask – Most useful item and has extremely useful stats

Can block weapons in front, decreasing damage from weapons from 2 to 1 and deflect punches, making them do 0 damage

Spiked bats still do 2 damage on balis

Only way to bypass the damage is to go behind and attack the back of their heads

Additional Info Section
You need evidence to do perms; just in case evidence is asked for by staff and the player, asking if it's a proper motive to staff actually helps. You cant assault people without evidence unless you are 100% certain that you have permission from the dude and they aren't going to complain


In-character Knowledge
Your character needs to be sure you are attacking the right person and that you frankly saw in front of your eyes how someone wronged you. Attacking randoms can escalate to random death matches, and if you don't know it's them but you know out of character, it could be metagaming

Weapons
Weapons aren't 100% needed to do perms but you need a weapon to do majors and above there are weapons that can be used for minor perms and they are fun to use and boost chances of winning fights successfully

Weapons means more odds of winning though unarmed opponents can still win fights i frankly won against someone armed with only my fists and i got to mug some stuff and they are frankly useful for fights and crime

For all these perm-hungry idiots, this is how you get perms so lock in on the gang activity and use proper perms and motive. keep in mind this guide will become more and more invalid over time as rules change. This is how you get perms on 6/16/2025.

No, Gang RP isn't ruined; it's frankly not. Just because you can kill someone for punching someone in the nose doesn't make it better.

Fun fact i did get kpsed for breaking someone's nose just by punching in 2019 when i was a name mc or skindex gosh cant remember. speaking of how easy it was to get kps back then. Then again, Gang rp isnt about killing people; it's about enjoying events and having fun

One thing though: Threatening to Harm or Kill someone with a deadly weapon Im pretty sure are Minors then Majors

other then that I like how dumbed down it is!

It's if the weapon is actually pulled out but it has to be sharp to be majors or kps, like a knife; it can't be a metal bat. However metal bat threats i think is just minors.

Okay so first off, people still use 2-3 insults as motives in gang fights; if not everybody in the gang rp community it can be deemed as harassment, which starts real-life fights if its staff confirmed i'll shut up but frankly enough, everyone uses it.

And i think its reasonable because repetitive insults like 'your momma is ugly and your dad is fat' or 'your sister is a whore' are fair game for a fight.

If you wouldn't let that slide, then you can use that as motive and explain why you are assaulting the other party's character, and if they find it reasonable i think it should be cool

I'm pretty sure everyone knows this by now but you need in-character proof for perms you can't go up and assault a random just because they snitched. Its called intel and eavesdropping.

It's common sense and every player should know that they need evidence for perms

it doesn't explicitly say 'minors' in the rule book explicitly about kpd threats anyway.

so it's motive.

Regular threats like ima kill you' but without the weapon stuff are for minors

Weapons can easily escalate it to majors or kps depending on what type of gang you are in.

Also, if you see the face of the officer, it's already perms the second they cuff you and take you in for a felony charge and you can target them after you are bailed out.

If a friend says a hitman is after you, which likely never happens because nobody ever hires hitmen, then sure, it's perms.

Of course Bmds get perms. i forgot to edit the bmda part because i just learnt it hours ago. Just did and I frankly support bmdas not getting immediant kps because they aren't really official weapon dealers; they work for bmd as associates, hinting at the bmda tag

Incharacter Knowledge
I hadn't mentioned character knowledge but this is true and pretty much every gang rp kpd officer or any combat rper in existence knows this if they read the actual rule book.

This is a unofficial guide for a reason because it frankly can become outdated and i need to fix it


Unreasonable Mentions

Anything about incharacter knowledge

It's in the rule book stating you need in-character knowledge to do anything perm-related; you have to know their face to be able to describe them and infact what you mentioned

Kpd and Regular Threats
Regular threats is already mentioned in the thread as perms but i never mentioned kpd threats

kpd threats are motives, not minors

After all these statements, this is supposed to dumb down and simplify perms not mention other parts of the rule book for more advice go here

Make sure you are not encouraging rule breaking, or begin arguments the guide is suppose to be helpful towards those who do not understand permissions. If the arugments resume the thread will be locked, this is the only warning that will be issued
