Describe your activity on the server

Since I’m also taking college classes in real life, I’ve been diving my time equally between studying and playing srp. Although I spend the majority of my free time on srp, there are days where I’ll be offline for personal reasons. Despite how my weekly schedule seems, I still put in effort and willingly spend hours on srp.

As of currently, I have no in-game roles/tags other than grade 12s on both accounts and an adult tag on my ehhcup account.

What experiences do you have with roleplay?

Throughout my entire time on playing srp, I’ve been in multiple instances where it was required for me to do an intense amount of detailrp. One of my notable experiences is being the high school mascot where I participated in events that required me to do icly performances in front of a huge crowd, not only do performances but also do planned teamwork with other sports where it required us to do detailrp. Other than being a part of that, I’ve been in other instances that required me to spend time with friends/groups of people where we did small events within ourselves that created deep, meaningful, lore to our characters.

What is your motivation for applying?

My motivation for applying for the doctor role in this faction strives from wanting to be a part of a community where I can further enjoy detailrping with others. While also developing more lore for my character, Ebe. Being able to be accepted into this important community gives me not only a chance at proving my skills for detailrp, but to be able to work as a team where we each have an important role. Ranging from being a doctor that performs transparents, surgeries, etc to being a psychiatrist that deals with giving mental diagnosis and giving amazing therapy sessions to even being a paramedic that's the first responder to KPD all give me the interest of wanting to be a part of this community. And since I enjoy topics that are centered in being the medical field, I would greatly appreciate being apart of a community that not only is focused on my interest but deals with team work, both icly and oocly, while having an important role like the others.

Which role are you applying for?

Doctor or Psychiatrist

I am applying for the doctor role.

What knowledge do you have of the roles within the Hospital Faction?

As of currently, this is the knowledge I have about the roles of the Hospital Faction. Starting off with doctors; they perform various amounts of transplants, proceed with saving icly lives with specific surgeries (depending on each case), treat wounds while also giving physical diagnoses that could possibly contribute to a mental diagnosis. Next off we have the psychiatrists; where they work just as hard as the doctors do, but instead of dealing with blood, gore, etc they solve mental issues instead of physical ones. Where they offer their bestest knowledge within the mind, giving the loveliest sort of icly therapy sessions, which also includes giving a mental diagnosis rather than a physical one. And lastly, we have the paramedics; whereas they are a fast-paced medical environment. Solving emergencies right on the spot, they are the first responders to help aid KPD whenever a civilian is wounded and needs immediate care. However, this role is achievable after completing a residency exam.

Do you acknowledge that if training is held whilst you are online, you are expected to attend or you will be punished?

Yes. I fully acknowledge that if a training is being held while I am online, the expectation is for me to attend otherwise I will receive strict consequences.

SECTION 1: PERSONAL DETAILS

"What is your full name?"

As she entered the room, her eyes caught the individual sitting with papers ready to question her. They trailed away and focused on closing the door behind her, where she then turned a heel and walked towards the chair waiting for her. With her eyes focusing on the papers, they glanced away as she sat down on the chair with proper posture. She adjusted herself with mental preparation before answering the question. Her natural green hues staring into the individual before her carried an almost unimpressed stare, not that it was intentional but still noticeable.

“Ebe, Ebe Edo is my full name.”

"What is your gender? And pronouns?"

Allowing her eyes to gaze off the distance, she lifted a leg calmly over the other. Subtly showing off her femininity she kept gracefully over the years, she leaned slightly back into the chair. Wanting to keep a straightened posture, she folded her hands simply on her lap. Her eyes focusing back onto the individual before her, she answered the question directly.

“I identify as a woman, I use she/her pronouns.”

"And your age? How old are you?"

If accepted

With her hanging leg resting over the lowered one, she kept a smooth waving movement with her hanging leg. Smooth enough to not be considered a distraction, but swift enough to be noticeable. Allowing her eyes to be caught somewhere else, whether it be a poster on the wall or the outside view of the sun rising through, they switched over to the individuals gaze before answering.

“I am twenty-seven years old.”

"Can you please explain your academic background?"

Grade-12/Bachelor/Masters/PhD

With her emerald green hues staring off in the distance once more, they followed the sound of the speaker, which was the individual interviewing her. Keeping her uninterested, calm glance directed towards them. It wasn’t intentional for her to seem cold or indifferent, and yet here she was representing herself otherwise. Her voice staying at a calm frequency, she answered.

“Well, to start off, my education began at a private school in Tokyo, thanks to my parents income and career choice. I went there for a total of twelve years consecutively. Once I gained my secondary diploma, thanks to the help of my passing grades and scholarships, I enrolled in the university of Tokyo.”

Pausing her words, mostly to take a moment to remember the first couple years during her time starting university. She raised a hand to push a hair strand behind her ear, despite it framing her facial features smoothly. It still made her appearance seem more ‘put-together’.

“Once attending the university, I spent my first couple of years studying basic sciences. Running from biochemistry, physiology to anatomy. Once reaching the passing grades, I started my pre-clinical training. However, despite busying myself with my studies, I also did volunteer work that my university had offered. Which wasn’t easy at first, but over time I had grown the ability to manage it without becoming overstimulated.”

Adjusting her sitting position to sit on the edge of her seat, simply because sitting down in a chair for too long was something she still wasn’t used to. Somehow .. Her head leaning against one shoulder, more like leaning towards its direction rather fully resting against it. She took two moments to regain memory of what she did, speaking with confidence that she kept throughout her words.

“Some of the volunteer work I did that my university was able to offer was assisting patient transports, helping the elderly navigate the hospital campus along with supporting outpatient clinics. Which gave me a clear sense of what working with patients was really like, while isn’t the exact experience of dealing with patients it helped me realize some points that I believe could be useful when working with people later on.”

Perfecting her straightened posture, specifically at the edge of her seat, she made a small movement to fully sit back into her seat. Her hands moving to gently grasp the sides of the seat so she could move herself with ease, she trailed her eyes to the individuals hues. Staring not deeply but rather directly before continuing on with her academic background.

“Once I finished my pre-clinical medical training, I slowly stopped doing the volunteer work my university provided and fully focused on my clinical rotations. Where I performed work while being supervised in the nearby hospital. One of the core rotations I followed was internal medicine, along with surgery and pediatrics.”

Pausing for a moment, mostly to take a breather after continuously talking about her academic lore and all. For a moment, she remembered all the important meetings she attended during her time at the university. And while it was stressful, overstimulating and just generally difficult, it became worth it once she reached the end. Speaking up with a calm volume, she made her vocal frequency heard throughout the individuals hearing senses.

“During this time, I was participating in morning conferences. Where I did case discussions, and took notes on the residents presenting the patients we would be dealing with for the day. We did ward rounds which included reviewing our patient charts, and being assigned to specific patients while shadowing our physicians and residents.”

Taking a moment to pause her words, she adjusted her sitting position once again. Man, sitting down for a long period of time was really starting to affect her back. She lifted a hand to push a hair strand off her shoulder, straightening her posture after feeling her slouching start forming during her words. Something she always struggled with in a way, but either way she kept her demeanor calm but firm.

“After doing our ward rounds, we did various sorts of patient interaction. I took notes of medical histories, performed physical exams on the patients I was assigned with, checking their vital signs while practicing auscultation. And since I was specifically studying cardiology, I listened for murmurs, observed for edema and checked for jugular venous distention.”

With a calm but firm demeanor kept throughout her explanation of academic backstory, she broke eye contact for a split moment. Her eyes glanced around the room, taking this small chance to breathe calmly. She lifted an opposite hand to push a hair strand that loosened around her face behind her ear, allowing her eyes to focus back onto the individual before continuing.

“Moving on from my ward rounds, patient interactions I did, which were just practicing listening to heart sounds aka auscultation, taking medical histories, checking vital signs, physical exams, etc. I would follow up with doing more studying and attending lectures, practicing my ECG interceptions, and watched echocardiograms to be further informed.”

Internally, she tried to reassure herself that speaking about her past academic background was almost over. Purely because speaking on and on, and on was truly starting to get tiring. That was just a personal issue though, she mentally shook her head while taking a small deep breath before moving on with her words.

“Lastly, my responsibilities increased as I approached my final sixth year. Where I was assigned my own patients, instead of sharing with my colleagues or taking turns with them, wrote my own progress notes, gave presentations on full cases and answered questions directed towards me by attendings. During all of this, I passed all of the required certificates and degrees needed. Examples being my CBT and OSCE, along with acing my national medical licensing exam.”

"What is your nationality?"

Finally being done with her entire medical academic backstory, she breathed quietly. Her hands relaxing fully on her lap while glancing away from the individual interviewing her, she gently swung her hanging leg over the other while focusing back on the individual asking another question. This one being more simple then the last.

“I was born in Japan but my ethnicity is Chinese.”

"Please indicate your marital status."

Ebe couldn’t help but let out an internal groan at hearing the question, mostly because it reminded her of all the times the family friend bothered her about this topic endlessly. The woman wanting Ebe to get married, have kids, plan out her life, etc. While she kept a calm, indifferent and firm expression, her internal thoughts said otherwise. With a quiet sigh, she answered truthfully.

“Single, never married.”

"For your religious denomination, can you expand on that?"

Thinking to herself, Ebe couldn’t help but remember her fathers relationship. Since they were a gay couple and were both raised in an catholic household, she remembered how they didn’t raise her with any religious beliefs. Whenever she was asked this question, she truly felt unsure on how to answer. Her facial expression almost gave away how she felt conflicted too, but was able to quickly suppress and answer.

“I lean more towards following catholic tradition.”

"How many languages can you speak? And if any, can you indicate which spoken languages you are fluent in?"

Remembering how she recently lost her ability to understand and speak Chinese, Ebe couldn’t help but feel a bit of small internal shame at the fact. But it wasn’t entirely her fault, in a way. She was away from home to gain a career and live on with her life, she decided to speak the truth while her eyes maintained direct contact with the individual.

“As of currently, I only understand and speak Japanese fluently.”

"Now, this is optional, but care to explain your backstory for us?"

Optional

With her eyes maintaining direct eye contact with the individual interviewing her, Ebe found herself remembering all the small moments she shared with her fathers and the surrogate, who was a family friend at this point. She quietly sighed at the question, giving a nod before responding. Deep down, she loved her background, but couldn’t help to remember the lonely moments she felt throughout her life.

“Starting off, I was born on October thirty-first, in the late nineties by a surrogate. Who is a family friend, she is an amazing person and has her moments of being a bit too traditional at times. My fathers both work at a medical setting, which is where I get my inspiration of wanting to become a doctor from. One of them works as a forensic pathologist while the other works as a pediatrician. Whenever one couldn’t take care of my, our family friend would take care of me instead.”

Remembering on the meaningful moments she shared with the family friend, she couldn’t help but form a bit of a small smile before lifting a hand to push a hair strand behind her ear casually. Lowering a hanging leg, she lifted the other smoothly on top of the other while swaying gently. Not too much of a major movement but enough to show she was in the moment.

“Because of my fathers connections, I was able to attend a private school in Tokyo. Where I was often busying myself with my studies or helping out with our family friends ramen restaurant. Which, I heavily recommend, their ramens are amazing and you could truly feel like you are at home with how well cooked their food is. Moving on though, I involved myself in sports as well, specifically track and pilates.”

With her back leaning slightly into her chair, she kept her hands still on her lap. Folding them neatly, she took a moment to remember any specific memories or just useful facts she should mention to the individual in front of her. Her head slightly dropping to one shoulder, she hummed quietly before continuing on with her words while focusing her calm glance at their eyes.

“Since my fathers don’t follow any specific religion, we often only celebrated events that we would celebrate if we were in China. They never really felt comfortable with the idea, but whenever our family friend would invite us to her catholic events or church, we would always go and support her.”

Adjusting her strict sitting position on her chair, she kept her hands folded neatly on her lap while having direct eye contact still with the individual. Her eyes staying calm but strict, she cleared her throat before moving on with her backstory. Her words coming off as a smooth, calming frequency despite her indifferent glance, which she somehow kept throughout this interview.

“Moving on, since my private school was from kindergarten to high school, I never really had the experience of moving from town to town or from school to another school. My parents made enough income and could hire a baby sitter whenever our family friend couldn’t watch over me. I did face a bit of bullying when I was younger though, since I had two fathers instead of a father and a mother but over time it stopped rather quickly after finding out that my parents made more then them.”

Ebe couldn’t help but form a bit of a chuckle at her last sentence, which was the truth but still funny enough to remember. Her hand raising to cover her mouth just slightly, mostly because she was used to being proper and having a high class of femininity being taught to her at an early age. She straighted her back posture for a moment before continuing on with her backstory.

“Other then facing the bullying and it quickly going away, I didn’t involve myself with friend groups either. Mostly because I was just simply too busy and wanted to focus on myself more then anything. I will say that I was known as one of the popular students in my classes though, since I was always getting high grades and reaching top of the class majority of the time.”

Adjusting in her seat once more, she couldn’t help but think on a past thought of how truly difficult it was to sit down and just answer questions simply .. To her, it was just like the meetings she had back in university and didn’t have that much of a tiring effect on her like now. But, was still almost annoying to go through. Not that she was complaining, since she could possibly be given the chance of having her dream job and all.

“After getting excellent grades and being accepted into the university, I spent majority of my time studying, doing volunteer work, a bit of track and pilates. Having an equally divided schedule, I still didn’t have the exact time to develop close friendships or relationships since I still focused my attention on myself and nothing else. And because I didn’t have much friendship interactions, it was a bit difficult to be understanding of the patients I worked with when I first started university.”

Quietly sighing at all of the moments she had with the patients that seeked out emotional help from her, she realized that being a doctor was more better then being a the****** for her career. Poor woman had issues with comforting a crying baby when she first started, even she was about to cry, but of course she didn’t and was able to figure out the baby’s problem.

“While it was difficult at first, over time I was able to understand how to speak to others on a more deeper level and have a grasp on how empathy is really like. And to be honest, I truly didn’t expect there to be a close relationship with doctors and patients when I first started. And now that I have the experience of dealing with others? It’s more easier to understand compared to all those years ago.”

With her eyes glancing elsewhere, attempting to remember the more recent years of her life to mention. She hummed quietly, her hanging leg swaying at a gentle pace before lifting one hand to gently grasp the edge of the seat. More as a casual sitting hand movement, one hand still placed on her lap rather neatly before she focused her attention to the individual once more.

“Now that I have more experience, I was able to gain my certificates and aced my exams. Which led me to getting my degree and license, I remember my family holding a big celebration for me. It was quite eventful, I really did enjoyed it. I was also given alot of yen because of it as well, which I used to move here in Karakura.”

Forming a bit of a smile, thinking back on how drunk she got at the party. She internally shook off her thoughts, her smile fading into a more calm but firm glance. She kept her eyes focused and strict towards the individual, her head slightly dropping to a shoulder before continuing on with her lore that was mostly filled with hard work and loving memories.

“Before getting the yen and all to come here to Karakura, I wanted to live in a city where my dream job of being a doctor that specializes in cardiology was popular. While there were many places that had that, I choose Karakura out of all of them because its culture and religion stood out to me the most. So, after being gifted with enough yen, which I’m grateful for, I used all of it to move to here.”

SECTION 2: MEDICAL HISTORY

"What is your medical specialty? And why did you choose this specific focus?"

Forming a bit of a small smile, purely because of the question being about her major passion. She straightened her posture completely, both hands folded at her lap with both of her legs being uncrossed. Keeping a more calmer gaze at the individual, it turned just a tiny bit more friendlier compared to all of the glances and stares she kept giving them throughout these questions and answers.

“My medical specialty that I studied for is cardiology, which belongs to a subspecialty of internal medicine. When being a cardiologist, they solve problems that are related to the heart and its blood vessels. Cardiologists deal with various situations of preventing any heart diseases and also solving problems on how to further improve survival rates for the people who struggle with these heart issues. Such as strokes, heart attacks, coronary heart diseases, etc.”

Having her small smile kept despite explaining the depths of a cardiologist, what they are and what they did. Some could argue that she was a bit .. special in a way. Of course a good special, considering where she currently was and how she wanted to become a doctor. Nonetheless, her hand rose to push a flimsy hair strand behind a ear before she kept moving on with her words of the medical specialty that she choose.

“The reasoning on why I choose this focus because to me, the heart is one of the main organs that is in a singular unit rather being in a complete duo pair. And in my opinion, I believe that the heart is the most sensitive part of the body, both mentally and physically. While I’m not entirely good with anything being dealt with mentally, I try to be understanding of people through themes that involve the heart. I may not be an exciting, loud or overly talkative person but I feel as if the heart is the most communicative organ that alot of people follow without realizing. Which is why I decided to have cardiology as my medical specialty.”

"Do you have any work experience in a medical position?"

Humming quietly, her eyes glanced elsewhere again. Mostly because she was starting to become distracted with her own thoughts, not entirely but still to a certain amount. Her thoughts ranging from ‘when am I going to go home? Should I get cheesecake or a cookie when I leave this place? Maybe I should finish that kdrama series soon ..’ Completely random, unprofessional thoughts filled Ebe’s head before her attention was sharply focused back onto the individuals question.

“While I spent most of my time studying, I did do a lot of volunteer work that my university offered. But other then that, no outside work experience is in my experiences unfortunately.”

SECTION 3: CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE

"Care to give us a description of yourself? How you look, what makes you unique, and how others would perceive you as, etc?"

Looking down at her current figure, seeing how she was wearing professional clothing compared to most days. Where she would wear something just a tad bit more fashionable, she took a moment to think of how to describe herself. Since she doesn’t put too much thought on her appearance but rather her fashion choice, her eyes focusing on the individuals hues before answering.

“Well, I have medium length dark brown hair. I have bangs that frame around my round facial features, my green eyes are on the grey or well darker side. I was told I got them from my family friend’s side, who was the woman that birthed me. I am currently five-two and I weigh around one-hundered and twenty pounds.”

After giving a direct description of herself, she took a moment to think of what makes her unique. In a way, she really wasn’t all that unique compared to other asian women. While she had some different qualities, they weren’t exactly too ‘drastic’ or exciting. At least, to her. She answered rather simply and bluntly.

“Other then being a child to a gay couple and having green eyes, I don’t have anything too drastic about how unique I am. And to be honest, I quite enjoy that. I enjoy having a simple and classic theme going on for myself, while I personally believe that being drastic and having a specific style going on is a wonderful thing, I personally don’t see myself as an entirely exciting person or following a theme like that.”

Dropping one head slightly towards her shoulder, she hummed quietly. Since she never cared for how people thought of her, she had to take a moment to think of this question. Because of the bullying experience, it shaped her mind continuously. From thinking that she should just hide away and never interact with others again to simply not caring how people thought of her or her loving parents.

“To be honest with you, I don’t necessarily know how others would perceive me as. Since I never think about others opinions of me, out of work that is. But in a work setting, I’ve been told that I’m very direct and blunt. I tend to look at people in the eyes too often and I sometimes look unapproachable to some, despite that, I’ve been told on multiple occasions that I behave more gentler compared to how I look.”

"In our hospital, how would you act? Give us an explanation of your behavior."

Hearing how much of an easy question this was for her, she kept a calm tone throughout her vocal frequency. Her eyes keeping a direct contact with the individual hues throughout, her hands stayed put while keeping a still posture. During this, she lifted a leg to hang over the other, simply as a casual movement rather then being distracting.

“If I was off duty and didn’t have any responsibilities to be doing, I would simply treat it as respect. My fathers have always taught me to be clean, respectful and quiet whenever being in a hospital setting so I’ve developed this teaching into a habit almost. And also because it’s just general respect to the doctors and patients, at least in my perspective.”

With her hanging leg starting to sway over the other in a gentle pace, she kept her hands folded on her lap while keeping her direct eye contact firm and calm. Just like the rest of her expression, and throughout this entire interview. She continued to speak with a calm, quiet volume. Which was still clear enough to be heard, but quiet enough to show how calm she was in general.

“However, if I was on duty I would say I keep things direct and as honest as I can. I rather give others the honest response then an answer that doesn’t fully explain what I truly mean, if that makes sense. All the while of keeping a friendly tone and maintaining calm eye contact, as best as I can anyway. But, since I’ve been told multiple times that I seem unapproachable, I try to keep a smile on my face at all times. Since I rather have patients be comfortable enough to explain their issue, then them being too scared to say anything because of how I come off as.”

"And lastly, do you function better on your own or with others?"

Despite Ebe coming off as an introvert, she fully believed that she enjoyed being involved or around large crowd and just people in general. Being apart of lively groups and working together in teamwork, it truly does make her more interested in activities in general. Specifically whenever theres teamwork, but yet had always struggled with being a lively person. With honesty, she answered the last question.

“To be honest, despite me being a naturally quiet person, I find myself enjoying and working better with others. I may not say much, or present myself to be too exciting or too drastic, I still work better and be as communicative as I can with others whenever working in a group project or simply working with others in general.”
