What experiences do you have with roleplay?:
As you can see from my linked applications, My extensive knowledge of the server from both community to functionality is well spread and in-depth. It was EMS that was my first ever faction back in 2022 and has since been still one of my favourites despite all that had happened. Even outside of factions, I have been head first within the criminal scene since joining SRP with almost only two weeks playing before I was accepted into Akihito and since then have been steadily climbing to points I'm able to. I have an extensive knowledge on all player rules that are currently up to date and can proudly say I have a fairly clean record overall with only 2 warnings to my name, one on my alt account and one on my main. I have knowledge in Bounty hunting, BMDA, managing staff/shop, Managing and creating events for verified businesses + my own, KPD + Detective unit, Surgeon and training new recruits, Government and law knowledge and as well as a bit of fun within the Chef community. Having been playing for 5 years now, I hopefully have plenty of knowledge to be able to extend a helping hand.
What is your motivation for applying?
To put simply - Nostalgia. It's been a long time since I last was in EMS and I greatly miss it. There had been points were I contemplated re-joining the community and was even pending prior to this application however I wasn't fully trusting that the community at the time and felt it was best to wait. I can happily say the current team and from what I've heard from the community that EMS has had a huge boost and seems fully smooth sailing now which is why I'd like to take this opportunity to place forth this application. Having had real life experience within first aid training and more, I'd like to apply my love and understanding of medicine and treatment in a faction I know I enjoy and can even learn more from.
Which role are you applying for?
(Doctor or Psychiatrist)
I am Applying for Doctor.
What knowledge do you have of the roles within the Hospital Faction?
(This is to gauge at your current understanding of the faction prior to acceptance)
Due to many recent updates my certainty of this is somewhat thin however to my understanding it goes as followed;
DIRECTOR:
Has overall responsibility for the operational and clinical management of the hospital. Lead of the overall performance of the hospital including financial sustainability, the emergency medical services, hospital departments, blood banks, clinical teaching services and overall overseeing the entire hospital.
DEPUTY DIRECTOR:
A Deputy Director maintains responsibility for all administrative aspects of a clinical facility. Daily, you might be responsible for onboarding new employees, training existing employees, auditing clinic operations, establishing a budget, reviewing treatment plans, or communicating with executives.
CHIEF PARAMEDIC:
The overseer of paramedic operations. Ensuring all paramedics are correctly up to speed with training, actively managing and maintaining healthy work environments, detailing down any budgeting or restocking of items for the Ambulance service and distributing teams for patrols when needed.
DOCTORS:
Helping the injured and ill. they are basically the doctor in charge. They focus on surgeries, scans, x-rays and making sure patients are fit and healthy to leave.
A doctor is tasked with interacting with patients, diagnosing medical problems and successfully treating illness or injury for specifics. Its to my understanding that only specific prescriptions can be given/made by a doctor which I believe the job is shared with the Psychiatric department.
PSYCHIATRIST:
Psychiatrists treat people suffering from mental health problems, including depression, anxiety, addiction and personality disorders. They can also offer help and guidance to help clients cope with bereavement, marital or family problems alongside prescribing medications were justified.
PARAMEDICS
Paramedics to my knowledge hold a large impact on the functionality of the hospital. They are able to be first responders to any emergency situation and are the direct unit called upon to travel the town to whoever is in need. With full completion of Doctor training, they are able to perform the same duties just with that added addition of an ambulance to treat the injured in a more timely manner.
CLINICAL LEADS:
Just like for most large factions, There are Clinical leads to each category. One for Doctors and Psychiatrists As a higher position they are tasked with making sure the members of their faculty are well trained and organised, and have a good understanding about code and ethics. They are also fully responsible for each worker under their own category and must ensure everything is functioning correctly.
Do you acknowledge that if training is held whilst you are online, you are expected to attend or you will be punished?
Yes I understand.

Character Backstory (Optional):
Ankaito Akai. Glooming Ocean, the eldest daughter of the Akai Dynasty. Such a wealthy high up family with a family name of importance. Ankaito rejected this normality her family had forged. From an immediate young age, Ankaito being the first daughter born from formally elected mayors, She had been subjected to ritualistic training of business management, etiquette and the teachings of Shintoism. Whilst a devoted follower of said religion, her wild and adventurous mind desperately sc****d and clawed at any chance to escape and travel the wonders of the world. To dig her hands deep into the earth’s floor then be forced to listen to another hour of home-schooling education.
As the young woman began to grow older, the labelling of a ‘problem child’ and ‘rebellious’ soon became commonly whispered as she travelled the long corridors of their traditional home and Shinto shrine run by her grandparents. Due to her strong distaste for the class and elegance demanded of her, Ankaito was soon spoken about as disruptive and even diverging towards delinquents. None of which was true, but by standards of the upper class it was deemed as such. And so, as Ankaito began gaining new siblings, her courage and bravery to truly start rejecting each forceful demand from her family grew ten fold. Dipping into petty crimes such as street racing, pickpocketing and even caught smoking behind her school at the young age of 13. Ankaito had first thought that her new siblings were a grace of the Kami, a gift of release that allowed her to no longer be of focus to her parents.
Unfortunately, this soon was disproven. As the eldest, the heavy weight of demands ruthlessly pounded down upon her back. It was her sworn legacy to continue on the family name, create the next generation and perform greatly, something of higher status to truly be worthy of holding ‘Akai’. Restrictions soon settled in borderline militarised. Like clockwork a strict schedule was enforced, and freedom became an aftertaste. Everything is meticulously calculated to create zero room for Ankaito to tarnish their family name and image in any way shape or form.
Of course, thankfully for the Akai’s, Ankaito had the memory and attitude that exceeded that of her own family members. Out of sheer spite for the constant labelling, Ankaito decided to set it upon herself to not just out perform their own standards and expectations, but to do so in her own way, without the need of kissing anyone's boots or being restricted to an etiquette that just wasn’t her. She was a free spirit, an outdoor-get your hands dirty kind of woman. Someone who didn’t care if her shirt wasn’t tucked in correctly, or if her hair was of an unnatural colour. A woman who treated her body as her own masterpiece rather than remaining a blank canvas.
A bright young woman with simple passions. Medicine, Butterflies, outdoor breeze and an adoration for bears. By the time Ankaito had hit 17, her extreme intellectual understanding doubled. She had truly mastered understanding and reading people and used that to her advantage, slightly tweaking and altering everything down to her own mannerisms in order to either please or piss off whoever came to speak to her next. Of course, regardless of the outcome she was never caring towards, but each new person was treated like a social experiment. Finding a new way to make a person tick, or forge an idea of herself within their minds that was far from truth. In a way it was a coping mechanism. She didn’t want to be kept within a societal formed box, another label that made people think she could only be that one thing. This mirrored in her day to day life. A new club or hobby every month, a topic she devoted to studying in its entirety and so on so forth.
Arguments didn’t seem to ease up despite this. Family fights were a constant to the point of which Ankaito stopped turning up to the dinners set in the evening. More and more she became an absent figure, to which point even some of her siblings barely heard or saw her for weeks at a time. So the young woman began to sneak out late at night to the neighbouring forest, enjoying the rush of ploughing through in a full breached out sprint with whipping branches scratching at the surface of her skin. It was a thrilling rush, to not have to care in those moments for what may happen. To worry that nothing was to happen, was truly the only worry the young woman harboured.
On the third night of this newly found enjoyment of hers, Continuing on the same routine of climbing out her bedroom window by the outer water pipe, sprinting manically towards the forest edge; When all of a sudden a low growl would echo the world around her. It was higher pitched than imagined, grunting with heavy pants of air. At first she had considered she may have been hungry, but the thrill that another person may have been inside the walls of her favourite kingdom was too much to bear. And so, Ankaito Akai charged through, frantically scanning the dimly lit earth to find her new friend. A branch would snap to her right, allowing her line of sight to follow towards its direction. From the umbra, out emerged a small little beast.
A bear cub. More specifically, she could tell immediately it was a black bear. These were Ankaito’s favourite animals in the world aside from butterflies. She had spent several months studying up about them in the hopes to have a run in. A black bear lacks a large muscular hump in its shoulder that grizzly or brown bears hold. They’re also more inclined to not harm humans.
It must have only been a few months old, nervously protecting itself with a scarce look in its eye. Ankaito crouched down, allowing her body to shrink so that she didn’t scare the young bear away. Her eyes glimmered with hope, slowly reaching out the back of her hand up into the air. She wasn’t quite sure what it was about the young creature, but its curiosity and slow settling ease had sparked a fire in her heart of glory.
Small paws gently pattered their way closer to the young girl, sniffing at the air surrounding them. With each inclined step forward, a heartbeat would louden, itching for the curious wonder of what their fur might feel like. The first touch sent a shiver of hope down her spine, trailing goosebumps all over her skin. It was such a simple touch; A boop of its nose against her frail knuckles. Friendship was created.
It was so tiny, and yet its large paw weighed heavy as it reached up to place atop her own hand. She did not dare break a boundary, and kept her body relaxed and still, allowing the young bear cub to familiarise itself with the foreign creature. She ****ysed and studied its very movements, enjoying just how soft its fur had surprisingly been.
After this interaction, every night like clockwork, Ankaito would rush back to the forest to meet with the black bear cub, who she had named Yumono which translates to friendly beast in Japanese. [Yujin - friend, Kemono- Beast]
From chasing one another across the earthy terrain, climbing up trees with a childish joy; The two young creatures had settled a firm comfort within one another’s presence, aging alongside each other as the years passed on by. Yumono was huge now, a full adult Black bear that enjoyed its silly behaviour and pranks on the young girl. Fond memories set in stone.
Till the day of dread had finally arrived.
Like any other night before, she’d sneak out towards the forest entry, waiting, expecting for her best companion to come forth. “YUUUMMONNOOO!” She’d yell out, kicking at some dirt beneath her in impatient wait. Her foot would pause before the second kick, noticing the sunken muddy print of a larger boot. With a trained eye, she’d shift her eyes to another set. There were men inside the woods.
There wasn’t often a need for a fight or flight response with Ankaito. She was rather fearless towards most things, and was extremely self-assured in herself to need to fight. But the second the idea crossed her mind that hunters may have entered her safe zone, her sanctuary? Everything in her body wanted to scream and cry out for her friend to be safe. It was all she had. She had singled herself out, forced an isolation upon her very being from those at home and even at school. But the clock was ticking and now there wasn’t any time for such looming thoughts. It was do or don’t.
Unfortunately, Ankaito lost something that day.
Skin and blood. Grown adults against a 17 year old girl, and a well grown black bear with its desperation to survive kicking in full drive. Thankfully, by what Ankaito believes to have been the blessing of Kami, she managed to safely secure Yumono that day, even going as far as demanding the forest be sealed off as private property. That day, her mother made one condition. Ankaito was to enrol in Harvard University for Medicine. For 8 grilling years Ankaito became a workaholic. Every hour spent awake she was studying like a work horse, implanting to memory each word from her textbooks as if it was the very word of her Kami. This wasn’t for her; This was for the animals of the forest and their protection. For Yumono, and for their safety. By the age of 27, Ankaito had finally graduated with not just a bachelor or masters degree, but skyrocketing forth through her PHD and earning herself the title of Dr Ankaito Akai.
There was no denying her intellect, or the hard work and passion she had displayed outside of her comfort zone too - And thus started the long debate with the Family heads of Akai. Ankaito wanted her freedom finally. To be allowed to travel the world, to enforce a safe zone for Yumono and the others that lived around them. It took another year of back and forth until finally she was allowed to visit a select handful of areas - The first being Karakura. With her aunts being the former mayor and vice principal, the Akai’s were able to keep a close, strong eye on her activities to still be upholding the Akai title without too much heavy monitoring. Ankaito had finally gotten just enough of that splash of freedom she had dreamt about all this time.
Now it was her turn, to allow the tides to shift.

SECTION 2: MEDICAL HISTORY
What is your character’s medical speciality? Why did they choose this focus?
(Ensure this is appropriate to the position you have chosen. Some examples can be found here)
Neurology and Neurological medicinal science is their sole speciality. Having been shipped to the UK to complete her Masters and PHD level within Harvard's own University, Ankaito fell deeply in love with the foundations that make us tick - The mind. Growing up, her attachment to seeing and researching verbal and non verbal reactions to both poor and positive work became fascinating to her, and after receiving a great loss to her aunt who had an aneurism, she decided to apply this love for the brain and incredible academics to good use. Her area of expertise within these categories is wide spread, but her talents greatly excel in endovascular surgical neuroradiology and Haematology.
But what exactly IS Endovascular surgical neuroradiology and Haematology? So glad you asked :
A basic understanding of our first category, also known as interventional neuroradiology or neurointerventional surgery, is a subspecialty using minimally invasive, image-guided catheter techniques to treat diseases of the brain, spine, head, and neck. It offers faster healing and less risk than open surgery by navigating tools through blood vessels rather then the standard open direction which can cause implications. It can help treat things such as:
Acute Stroke Treatment:
Mechanical thrombectomy to remove blood clots from brain arteries.
Cerebral Aneurysms:
Coiling or flow diversion to seal weak spots in blood vessels.
Vascular Malformations:
Treating arteriovenous malformations (AVMs) and fistulas.
Tumour Embolization:
Reducing blood flow to head, neck, or spine tumours before removal.
Diagnostic Imaging:
Cerebral angiography to view blood.
Whilst being a high risking specialty surgery, when under the right hands of precision it is the most efficient and affective treatment anyone can perform when undergoing a brain surgery. It helps limit pain to a minimum standard, smaller incisions so there isn't any large scarring and lower recovery speed times as opposed to traditional open surgeries.
Does your character have any work experience in medical positions?
Outside of her Masters and PHD, her main first hand experience on the field is primarily only within the Harvard University hospital. She has completed her Nursing training program and now seeks to put her skills to better usage on the operating tables. No other medical work experience is in her resume, However - Ankaito was a welcomed and highly reviewed Shinto Maiden in Kyoto, Japan for 2 years. It was in her home town where her family raised her within the very walls of their local shrine and thus truly basks in the religion as a devoted follower.

SECTION 3: CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE
Describe your character; how do they look, what makes them unique? How would they be perceived by others?
Akai's Design:
By far one of my most uniquely designed characters in a very long time. Ankaito Akai was a woman built with a dexterity of muscle that could only be described as blue collar. Nothing built from gym equipment but rather hundreds of hours spent working hard, traversing the forest floors and playing with the bears that inhabited the areas. Her body was her temple and canvas, wearing unique and intricate tattoo's that slid down both arms of an oxymoron. On one side, the ocean of gentle embrace warmed down like a snake, showcasing her health, healing, love for the world and more. On the other side, her strong love for the wild and free, not quite following in between the lines and her explosive nature of never knowing what she may do next. It was a perfectly well worn artwork that showed exactly the kind of woman she was. Ankaito wore against her body the inner markings of her hard work and that wild nature priorly spoken, only this time held with scars that deeply rooted in to her skin. Bleached white hair sat from the top of her temple, Originally blonde that had since whitened from stress. Ankaito had taken it upon herself to decorate the ends with her favourite colour, allowing what was once an annoyance and insecurity of hers to something far more to her liking. Another piece of art. Hazel eyes perfectly complemented her tanned olive skin thanks to the ample time shared out in outdoors to fully round out her 5'6 stature.
[ Here's a character sheet of sorts for more in-depth detail! Both artwork made by me. ]
Personality:
The best way I can describe Ankaito would be she's a volcano you don't quite know is dormant or not. You never quite know what she's up to nor what she's thinking, however despite this her company is equally as entertaining as long as you've not harmed an animal or flaunt wealth. She's extremely care-free for the most part, a wild spirit who you can't quite hold down and force a lifestyle. She does what she feels is right and creates environments that allow people to feel more at home and safe then anything else.
With a name derived from the two Japanese words of Ankoko, Meaning gloomy, and Kaito meaning the ocean or sea. Just how the glimmering water can bring forth tranquillity, can also breathe over the crashing calamity of waves. Ankaito balances both destruction, and that safe embrace. There's never a dull moment.

How does your character act around the hospital?
As previously mentioned, there will never be a dull moment when Dr Akai is around. Take that how you will. With a strong workaholic mentality, I can assure a 100% fulfilled work load is complete and set as a first priority, but once thats aside she will wander the halls and see who's day she can gift a smile too. Whether thats through a light hearted prank, silly behaviour or a dumb dad joke, Ankaito takes great pride in ensuring those she meets leave with a memorable experience. Whilst she is fully aware that there are standards and correct behaviour to show when on the clock, she also wants to take into account creating a much more relaxed environment for the patients who enter through the doors rather then causing anymore further anxiety. Visiting the hospital is already a worrying experience and that is not something she wants to add to.
Does your character function better on their own or with others?
Despite being a rather wild spirited individual, when it comes to work Ankaito is more then capable of working alongside others either as a one on one or large group. She's definitely a leader type, who is able to quickly take control of a situation and distribute duties and work load diligently. Maximum efficiency is always her priority, even if she prefers the company of animals over humans.
Additional notes: N/A - Thank you for taking the time to read and I look forward to any feedback given ^_^ ~ Cerulean
