Describe your activity on the server:

A wizard does not concern himself with tedious things such as ‘employment’ or ‘school.’ A wizard's time is reserved for only the finer things in life such as Minecraft Yaoi and spinach dip. On days when the wizard can't play SRP for longer than a few hours, the wizard smacks his belly displeased. Literally everyone is notified of my despair, I'm obsessed with writing my character and it's an important creative outlet with or without responsibilities. I play on SRP all day and I can't say this in a way that lets me sound like the well adjusted adult I am. I couldn't make my availability more clear.

Are you aware that inactivity can result in removal from the council?:

Council is a necessity in a roleplay environment like SRP. Joining the Student Council is completely optional, and you take on a responsibility. To put effort into an application, be accepted, and proceed with no effort would be absurd. Low-key cringe behavior even.

What is the student council and what do they do?:
Council is an important bridge between Students and Faculty, they speak on behalf of the student body and manage them on a ground level. Council is responsible for providing an environment with believable rules and repercussions in character, and teaching players how to abide by them.
Council will also assist Faculty with many different tasks such as detention or event management, which Council may often do independently from Faculty on common occasions.

What motivated you to apply for council? (e.g. Interests, friends, etc.)

I've had an interest in Council characters for a long time. I often spend my time interacting with them, some of which are still my favorite roleplays!
Council has become important to my time on SRP, a group of people who have always been welcoming to every type of player no matter who came and went, with enough grace to guide myself and others to understand SRP on a fundamental level.
Hanging around Councillors has been the most fun I've had in three long torturous years of Minecraft Yaoi.
I hope to pass on that kindness to others in true boyscout fashion, to interact with new players and welcome them in their own unique and fun glory.
I strive to be an active hand in the community, and I have a strong desire to play characters with that motive. SRP is a server I love. Councillors—to me—are the in-character culmination of that value.
I tried sports first of course, which I enjoyed a lot! But, it's a faction that isn't as involved with the larger community as I wanted to be. (Even with as many loud neighbors as I had.) I have a drive to socialize with people that I couldn't satisfy fully in sports, and that's when Council members deposited themselves into my life. To me it's exactly the type of player I want to be, and character I want to write.

Are you aware that you’ll be having to use your creativity and teamwork ethic within the student council?

Yes! I have extensive experience in team-based creative works including Minecraft mod development, online event planning, and even in-character events on SRP which is a skill I've been honing with my time in Hoshino Productions. In Hoshino, I'm required to come up with events, organize meetings, and so on.
I describe myself as dependable, and I'm eager to take on tasks I've yet to try.

Can you list the roles in the council along with other roles that might be important to the council?

The student Council is made of three roles; the Councillor, the Vice-President, and the President. All Councillors regardless of status are expected to manage the student body. They patrol the school campus and curate a safe environment by enforcing the rules with warnings or detentions. The President and Vice-president have the additional expectation of managing their peers as a whole.
The President and Vice-president of the Student Council work in tandem of each-other. As the appointed leads of their respective council, Presidents are expected to train Councillors on the inner workings of their responsibilities, host meetings for the whole, and track the activity of their members.
The Presidents are additionally responsible for hosting and managing events—whether that be a Council event, Club or otherwise—where they are expected to be present and assist attendees where they can. Events have unique problems that arise depending on what is being hosted, though common problems are door keys, staff communication, necessary teleporting, and crowd control. (Some of which aren't directly done by Councillors, but often have this requested on behalf of others.)
The Vice-President is the second hand of the President. While every team will have their unique dynamic, the current President and Vice-president of the College Council share most responsibilities and work as a shared leadership.
Councillors will find plenty of use in all school faculty. Often, Receptionists and Caretakers will work with Council members to effectively distribute fair punishment.
Professors and Teachers sometimes rely on Councillors in their classes to manage one or more students causing issues as their class proceeds.
Councillors in turn find Professors and Teachers the most common Faculty to seek for aid, as they make the bulk of campus Staff and are often closest to a scene.
Most importantly, the Presidents and Vice-presidents have exclusive access to Faculty Radio which streamlines aforementioned relationships.

While students gather for a school assembly, one student behaves disruptively, causing a disturbance. How would you manage the situation to restore order effectively while minimizing any additional disruptions to the assembly?
Firstly, the biggest mistake would be to rush discipline. During assemblies energy may be high, and one or two disturbances from separate individuals are understandable, perhaps even inevitable.
In this case I would quietly rise from my seat, locate them, and warn them with a whisper.
However, disturbances can range with severity. Some meddling must be dealt with more force. The cause of disturbance must be removed — it's important to note that a singular student may set off multiple and reprimanding the whole may cause more infractions in upset. You must be deliberate with whom you punish.
The inciting student should be relocated, obviously, If threats of SLT don't suffice. Their prompt removal should be enough.

A student refuses to take their mask off after you’ve brought up detention and they’ve run away! What do you do?

“In that case, faculty such as Caretakers should be informed, who would be capable of searching CCTV footage. A student wearing a mask may have pre-meditated ill intentions, it wouldn't be wise to chase them.” Jiāo paused, contemplating. “Though my instinct says otherwise, someone may be in harm's way if they were unopposed. However, I would be of no use injured.”
Silence followed as an intensity burned in his gaze. Was he really considering a chase?
“Detention would be warranted, surely. SLT would be made aware of the situation should they ignore reprimands and become a serious threat. From that point forward it's completely out of my hands..”
His voice trailed off, disregarding intentions. He acknowledged his urges were unwise.
“An attempt to swipe the mask may be retaliated with physical violence, as would an attempt to apprehend them. That would be a violation on my part, and ultimately jeopardize my role. My hands would be tied.”

A teacher observes concerning behavior from a student, including the creation of disturbing artwork and verbal threats toward peers. How would you collaborate with the teacher to evaluate the situation and intervene appropriately to address potential safety concerns?

Jiāo took a moment to think, wrinkling his nose. “Oftentimes, a teacher observing these sorts of behavior is a cause for concern. In fact, many psychological diagnoses are made because of an outside adult perspective. It's important to heed these situations with care, the student in question could likely be struggling with their mental health.”
“Aggressive students are a threat no matter the reason, and detention is always the simplest option. Disturbing artwork, however, isn't inherently against the rules as ‘disturbing’ is subjective. Art depicting violence or upsetting scenes often vent feelings we can't process — these should be private of course and Campus isn't an appropriate place for it, but in short, it's important to be kind and lend an open mind to the struggles of these students.”
A deep breath was taken, oh Lord.
“It would be appropriate to inform them that these depictions aren't appropriate for Schooltime, and shouldn't be taken on campus. At the very least, they should stay private. Then, I would inquire about the piece and gauge how I would be able to help them best.”

A group of students asks for your permission to stage a protest on school grounds. Would you allow them to protest? If so, how do you ensure that the protest does not disrupt the school environment while upholding their freedom of expression?

“The motive behind a protest is passion and community, it would be oxymoronic to oppose as a member of the Student Council. It's important to learn about their cause, when and where they intend to protest, and their protest method.”
“Providing a safe and non-disruptive method of protest is key. Protestors want to be noticed and for action to be taken — it would be appropriate to warn them that their protest will be dispersed if they become aggressive, but my aim is preventative, not corrective.”
“Following the sewers collapse, I was witness to a peaceful campus protest erupting into riot. I don't believe the sentiment was to blame. The desperation to see rescued loved ones came from a sympathetic place, and yet the violence that followed was unacceptable- Oh, yes. My solution,”
“Protests are confrontational by nature, but that conflict may be executed peacefully. As I speak, a petition passes through campus asking for signatures to combat the removal of our memorial monument. Solutions like these come to mind — a sense of camaraderie without risky crowd control.”

A teacher/receptionist has told you that you are doing something that goes against what you were trained by your higher-ups. How would you react to this?

“It's not a realistic scenario — I abide by rules with extreme prejudice. To behave against what I've been taught would only be the result of misinterpretation.”
“That being said, I rarely misinterpret instructions. Further, I believe Teachers and Receptionists may be incorrect on occasion. Of course, I will bite my tongue and refuse conflict, but I will follow my instructions without fail.”
“In the end, we all aim for the same goal; to protect the student body. Disagreements are inevitable, but there are no enemies on common ground. Issues with my methods of execution should be taken to my superiors.”

Please provide at least one detailed event that the council can use as a future event to showcase your creativity! (Must be 300 words or more for one event)

“If you wouldn't mind suspending your disbelief and allow me to throw as many ideas at the wall as I have, I would like to propose something fresh, inspired by my time in the sports faction and hunger for good karma.
This event is dedicated to bridging gaps between clubs.” (And burning aforementioned bridges.)
Act 1; The Draft
For all clubs and members Interested, the Student Council will call for participants to submit their names for this event’s prank war.
When submitting their name, a student’s application will ask for a prank they wish to pull on someone that April — this is a prank they're locked into for the entirety of the event.
Note: Applications including tasteless pranks are therefore regulated and not permitted to participate.
Names from applications will be compiled, and each participant will pull a random target.
This way, every participant will receive a target and hitman each.
Act 2; The Bracket
When a participant successfully manages to prank their target, they're given another. This implies that multiple hitmen may be after one target at any given time, encouraging timely execution.
The prank of the executed target will then be permitted to be used by the hitman, each execution adding a new tool freely for their disposal.
Note: Should a participant become aware of their assigned hitman, they may pull a prank on them as well. This will count as a target.
Successful pranks are recorded and submitted to The Council, which must include the name of the hitman and Target, alongside the date and time of the execution.
* The prank depicted in recording must match the one on application, and contain the setup action, execution action, and aftermath.
Act 3; Conclusion
The game of April Hitman — appropriately abbreviated to AH — is set up in a way that leaves clear ranking, and eliminates the need for tedious brackets. AH ends with two winners; the last standing Participant, and the Participant with the most executions.
For the conclusion of AH all participants are gathered in the Council Room for a banquet, where the winners receive a reward each. Which, I would reccomend a trophy.
The winners are then given a sendoff by all other participants, via pies and other baked goods to the face.

Age: 20

How would you describe your personality?

“I will be transparent about my flaws. My short temper feeds directly off of my desire to aid others and defend my self-esteem. My ability to assess situations quickly leads me to misunderstand severity and overreact. When under distress, I tend to be cold and distant as I work to fix the issue.
These negative qualities make me appear as someone who enjoys conflict, but the truth couldn't be further opposite. Often, I feel much older than my peers because of my lived experience. Simply, I have no tolerance for nonsense.
I believe my best quality is my empathy. Though I may lack remorse that would otherwise stand in the way of fair justice, I can certainly empathize with a vast majority of the student body. As someone who faced hardship in Karakura for my entire teen and young adult life, I choose to turn my scars into cautions and lead by example.”

Note: "This is a very strange request for an Application." - Jiāo

What separates you from other applicants seeking your position?

“My lived experiences are the main separations between myself and other applicants. As a Director and Manager of Hoshino Prod, I'm already familiar with a leadership role and the process of managing meetings.
My expertise is knowing what a crowd wants, and shouldering burdens so that artists may focus solely on performing. I prefer backstage roles. Management.
I'm a Psychology major, previously Medical Sciences. I'm able to appeal to even delusional or violent students. Actually, I believe ‘appealing’ is a wonderful word to describe my expertise.”

Why do you want this position?

“Even as an older student I find myself powerless to protect my younger peers. Though I'm not afraid to be roughened up and have been plenty of times, I'm personally adverse to violence and rarely find it a means to an end. I don't start fights, and I don't take pleasure in ending them.
When I walk onto campus, I'm greeted by my first name. I may not be particularly personal with some of my peers, but their familiarity is valued.
Most of these warm faces are younger students, who I've sworn to be a friendly and dependable presence to. I recognize that many of the students that seek me are looking for a friendly face, comfort, and a steady shoulder to lean on. Many names come to mind.
I feel powerless only able to stand by as I must wait on others to take initiative, motionless.”

What interests you the most about student council?:

“Council catches my interest for its core value of bettering the community, which I share personally. People on the Student Council are able to meet my intellect and understand my worldview, even if we don't always see eye to eye.
My college major has been Medical Science, recently changed to Psychology. My life's dream has been to become a Doctor, to help people. I got lost on the way for a while, wasting my time on activities that neither made me feel content or brought me any closer to my goal. Nothing wrong with Sports of course, I loved my Swim team.
Joining the College Council is my natural next step. I'm already confident in my leadership skills and ability to handle stressful environments, but I believe in polish and perfection.
Speaking of polish and perfection, the Vice-President simply glows. How could I resist? That isn't for persuasion, only that I know he'll read this, and deserves a treat after my incessant blabbering.”

What could you contribute to make the school a safe and fun environment?:

“I’m dedicated to the care of my peers, including those I work alongside. I don't only strive for the betterment of our community, but the improvement of the Council.
I contribute my ability to foster a bond between individuals to learn the strengths and weaknesses of our whole. I can empathize with students on a deep level, I believe unwavering empathy and patience is something the majority of students lack.
I understand where violence comes from, the feelings and emotions that spark it — I know this because it's something I struggle with deeply, and have strove to improve my entire life.
My skillset is adept in management, and that doesn't stop at organization. It’ll be my goal as a dependable shoulder for my colleagues to provide a fresh point of view from the perspective of someone who has known violence, and has chosen peace; not for any reason other than my own self acknowledgement.”
