Describe your activity on the server:

I play SRP for at least 3-4 hours, and I often stay on for much longer. However, my mental health does play a huge role in my activity. As of now, I will be on SRP from Fridays to Sundays (regularly) and on some Mondays, following an alternating schedule. I am active in role-playing, meeting new faces, and engaging in more interactions with people. I'm usually involved in FamilyRP and almost rarely CrimeRP.

Are you aware that inactivity can result in removal from the council?:

I'm aware of this, and I hope to avoid this by communicating as much as possible when I can or cannot be on!

TRIVIA QUESTIONS

What is the student council and what do they do?:

The student council is a committee of students or a club persay with many jobs and responsibilities. Like keeping order, this entails preventing fights or stepping in on them. The student council is similar to the faculty, but instead of being paid, they help lessen the burden. They're meant to be the role models of the school and help deliver disciplinary action, such as handing detention slips to students who break a rule.
What motivated you to apply for council? (e.g. Interests, friends, etc.):

Personally, I wanted to apply for Student Council because my friends mentioned how my character could be a good fit for the role. However, I've been eyeing the student council role ever since the application opening from earlier this year. After a lot of thought, I finally decided to apply because sports teams and factions never truly caught my interest as much as the student council.
Are you aware that you’ll be having to use your creativity and teamwork ethic within the student council? (e.g. Coming up and helping with events):

I am aware of the fact I will have to use my creativity and be good at teamwork to be in this to help plan events. I believe my character would be perfect for this as she's a very upbeat person with a lot of creative ideas. Some ideas may come across as insane or impossible, but she wants to add things like spirit week or even just polls, allowing the students to decide what event captivates them the most.
Can you list the roles in the council along with other roles that might be important to the council?:

SLT : Basically, the top of the school, I lowkey think it’s the Principal, Vice Principals, Deans, etc. Anyway, they tend to be the last resort or like a secret weapon, as you see in those movies. Basically, they handle suspensions and expulsions.

FACULTY : They basically do what you’d expect, teach classes, handle detentions, and things of that nature. Of course, the faculty also has nurses to handle emergencies like treating injuries and things of that nature. They also have caretakers who talk around the school, making sure students aren’t up to no good. These three are huge to student council as they can communicate using the school radio! Long story short, they all help with disciplining the students' behavior.

STUDENT COUNCIL PRESIDENT(S) : Thriving on general knowledge, the student council for both high school and college is basically the face of the council. They oversee that their council members are doing as they are meant to; basically, they are the image for the students in general. They represent the students and help make important decisions: creating events and using the intercom to make announcements. However, they use the intercom whenever it is necessary, to my knowledge. I also believe they train the new council members? I haven’t the slightest clue since I’ve never been on the team before.

STUDENT COUNCIL VICE PRESIDENT(S) : Honestly, they’re kind of like a captain’s first mate. They tend to basically be the right-hand man of the president and act basically as the president whenever the ACTUAL president isn’t there, without taking the role itself.

SCENARIOS

While students gather for a school assembly, one student behaves disruptively, causing a disturbance. How would you manage the situation to restore order effectively while minimizing any additional disruptions to the assembly?

The cotton-candy-haired girl’s eyes seem to sparkle at the question, with a wide, toothy grin. She cleared her throat in an attempt to regain her composure, straightening her red bow and the buttons of her cardigan. Her voice came out somewhat serious; it was easy for her to control her emotions from joy to seriousness.

“Well . . At first I’d probably be a little distracted, tryna pay attention to the whole thing.. But once I noticed, I’d ****yze the situation before I get involved, that way I can avoid missing key things I may need! Similar to their speech-habits, what may cause aggression, and things of that nature.”

She nodded to herself, perhaps she was . . not handling the situation as she should be. Regardless, the pinkette continued.

“Once I’ve gathered enough information or even just any details that might be of significance.. I’d walk up to them, likely . . asking a dumb question like. Whatcha up to you two? Is everything alright here? If they don’t.. Decide that I suck and whatever else, I’d ask them if I could pull them aside for a little bit, as a way to avoid trouble.”

She may’ve.. Had some experience distracting others to benefit another person. Perhaps her skills could be useful here, too.

“If they refuse to talk to me quietly, I might put a sticker or two on them.. I know it’s a bit silly, but I think those who cause trouble kinda just- need something to help brighten their day! To continue on with that kind of . . uhm? Momentum! Yes, that's the word.. I’d try to like kill them with kindness. Sometimes people go through things they don’t want to talk about and they release their frustrations by being . . problematic.”

She hummed.

“Anyway, if the two students agree to come with me, I’d ask them why they were disrupting the school assembly and try to work out an agreement to avoid escalating the situation!”

A student refuses to take their mask off after you’ve brought up detention and they’ve run away! What do you do?

At first the question stumped her, typically if she was in a situation where she was scolding someone or telling someone not to do something and they ran off, she’d tell her friends or her dad. At that moment it clicked in her mind!

“Well.. at first I’d be confused, out of habit I’d likely reach for my phone to tell one of my friends or even my dad.. To just tell him what happened. Although, of course within a matter of seconds or a minute, I’d focus on the moment.”

She nodded to herself, way to go.. Sell the whole interview at that point Vy.

“Well, since they have a mask on I don’t know what their face looks like and I definitely won’t know the person's name. I’d use my uhm, walkie talkie to describe what the person's clothes looked like, height if I can make a solid estimate, and how old I think they could be judging by their physical structure. The chances the student would go to the front desk if a teacher or caretaker intercommed for them is like.. Next to low. So I’d ask for any other people within the student council who are presently free.. To help find the individual. Oh! Right, I should.. Probably describe how the mask looked.. Unless they were cruel enough to remove the mask.”

Vy sighed, masks were such a pain. Hiding your identity with that damned thing was useful for some situations probably.. But for school? That sounds like such a major pain.

“Yknow.. This makes me feel like one of those police officers!”

A teacher observes concerning behavior from a student, including the creation of disturbing artwork and verbal threats toward peers. How would you collaborate with the teacher to evaluate the situation and intervene appropriately to address potential safety concerns?

Vy tapped her foot against the floor, glancing down at her nails. She probably needed to get them redone sometime soon.. Of course, she was getting distracted during the interview; what a fool she was.

Ah right! The question,

“I’d step towards the teacher and ask them what’s going on. As well as any details that may come across as important. Of.. course I’d be whispering all of these things because I’d rather avoid getting cussed out too.. Man, my classmates or even upperclassmen can be scary..”

She frowned pitifully. What a lame reaction, am I right? It seemed like she constantly expressed herself, either with words or simply through her face. She sucked at masking how she felt about something.

“Well, as I was saying. Before my ramble, at first I would just warn them to not do it again, if they continue I’d likely bring up school policy. I’d try to handle the situation maturely, to the best of my ability anyway! If they continue to behave so.. YUCKY!! I’d hand out a detention slip as a last resort..”

Vy sheepishly smiled, maybe yucky wasn’t the best word to say that.

A group of students asks for your permission to stage a protest on school grounds. Would you allow them to protest? If so, how do you ensure that the protest does not disrupt the school environment while upholding their freedom of expression?

Ah.. this question caused Zoju to be .. unsure. Would the best course of action be to bluntly deny the students their right to enact their free speech? She wasn’t sure what to say at first, she brought her left hand towards her hair. Twirling it as she thought long and hard on this question. Soon enough, she spoke with confidence.

“I would originally be at a loss in this situation, but I believe all people should be allowed to voice their opinions. Instead of bluntly rejecting the idea or allowing them without a thought. I would ask questions about what it’s about, whether or not they plan to disrupt the school's environment or not.”

She dropped her hand back onto her lap, straightening back as she spoke. Her hands made gestures as she did, it seems like finally she was getting into the mindset after so many questions.

“I believe if they are protesting for something that is within reason and they carry no ill intent. It’s fine, however, I would ask them to speak to a teacher, nurse or someone of higher authority than me. If it is decided to be a voting system on whether or not they should or shouldn’t, so be it!”

She offered a polite smile, it seems like she wasn’t done speaking just yet.

“If I need to step in and put an end to the protest, I will. I will remain at the protest from beginning to end as a way to ensure their protest won’t change suddenly once I leave.. I understand that this may come across as paranoid, but I believe it is within logical reason.”

With that she finished.

A teacher/receptionist has told you that you are doing something that goes against what you were trained by your higher-ups. How would you react to this?

Blinked a few times, she was at a loss. How would she mess up or go against something if she were to be properly trained on how to handle situations?

“Ahem.. well, if I was told by a teacher, receptionist or anyone of high authority. I would apologize for going off script- I mean, acting in a way that goes against my training. I would ask the staff member what specifically I did wrong so I can improve and ensure I will never recreate that mistake!”

She was still a little confused, was it possible to go off script..?

“I wouldn’t try and argue, there’s no point in trying to revolve something that should be peaceful into .. something that’s just no good. If anything I would probably ask for more training if it’s an option.”

Please provide at least one detailed event that the council can use as a future event to showcase your creativity! (Must be 300 words or more for one event):

Zoju hummed to herself, tapping her fingers against her lap as she nodded.

SPIRIT WEEK

“Ever want to flaunt your gorgeous wardrobe? Feel at a loss on what to wear for the school day.. Stuck between two outfits with totally different themes? No need to fret! Or.. whatever those princes say in movies. Ahem! I am here to announce the amazing event, spirit week!”

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?

“Well.Spirit week is a way to basically show off bobcat pride versus spartans, of course . . without involving any rivalry. Ahem! Examples we can show off our school pride is: Wearing colors to match our grade level like . . the rainbow, yknow! So uhm grade . . what 7? That’s the lowest I think. Could be purple, 8 is blue, 9 is green, 10 is yellow, 11 is orange, and 12 can be red.”

“As for the Spartans, they could go bachelors in pink, masters is black, and .. is there a 3rd level.. In case there is, can they be magenta?”

“Ahem, Anyway, another day could be like.. White lie day? And people can vote for who has the best white lie at the auditorium. Anyway, we can also do cowboys vs sherrifs? So people dress up in cowboy and cowgirl attire and the others can be dressed up as sheriffs!”

“Oh oh! We could also do a day where we wear our favorite bands' merch! Like 5 Missed Calls, or.. That's what I think the band is called.. anyway, that type of thing!!”

“Oh! Twin day? Where you and your friend dress up as a duo! This can be a reference to a movie, show, anime, manga, manhwa.. Anything school-appropriate!”

INTERCOM

“Well, the message for the intercom could go like . . [Intercom] Hello everyone! I’m happy to announce our first day of spirit week! I hope everyone checked the announcement we hosted a few weeks ago with all the themes! Who’s ready to show school pride!!”

REWARD

“Well, I think with every activity like this, it should come with some kind of prize, no? I think it’d only be fair if you uhhm.. I guuuesss get a tour of.. The student council room? I don’t know . . I never thought about this part.”

What separates you from other applicants seeking your position?:

“Well . . not to put the other people who want to join this awesome team! Wait, can I say that? Committee? Is that.. A better fit? Well, anyway, I know student council work is meant to be serious, which I can be whenever the time calls for it! I think that my fellow students should have someone on their team who adds to their arsenal of people!”

“I can bring a lot of smiles and bring up the mood whenever people need it! I may have never been in photography or any fancy clubs that got to work alongside the student council body! However, I’ve maintained a clean record with no detentions, and I’ve been trouble-free! I actually report incidents to- the uh. Student body, whenever I can’t find faculty.”

She nodded to herself.

“Overall, I can do a lot of things.. I am super good at abiding by the rules, and I want to gain more experience with responsibilities!”

Why do you want this position?:

“Well, I personally want to be in the student council because I’ve always looked up to them. I find them to be mesmerizing; they carry a type of confidence and elegance that I just can’t help but feel drawn to!”

“I want to be able to handle myself in situations and test myself with greater responsibilities. I seek to be in something that can not only benefit the school, but also my classmates and fellow students.”

“In the future, I kind of want to be a teacher! I think it would be really cool to teach at a school because I get to pass on knowledge like that. Or even a police officer, where I can maintain order and properly carry out the law! I think the student council would benefit my future in those aspects, it can help me handle conflict, and I can respect my seniors and other adults!”

What interests you the most about student council?:

“Well! The main thing that the student council does that piqued my interest the most HAS to be the events! I remember the bake sale they hosted and the tents behind the school gym!? I thought that those were really fun and creative!”

“I want to be able to pitch in one of my ideas for an event that’s hosted by the student council, I think it could be really rewarding and it’s a good way to interact with faculty or the students!”

“Oh and I think it’s cool to have a little arm band to show off that you’re in the student council rather than the uhm, uniforms and stuff you get in sports teams.. I also heard we get to check on the sports teams houses to cleanliness and stuff! I think that’s pretty cool!!”

What could you contribute to make the school a safe and fun environment?:

“Something I can contribute to make the school a safe and fun environment is my energy! I know that sounds super cliche and dumb, but I think a positive mindset and someone willing to regulate peace and love as one of their main ways of communication can go a long way!”

“I feel like being nice can go a long way, like being told good morning by a stranger, I know on some days I feel super sad, and something that little can make my day better! Looking out for each other is something we should try to do without being told.”
