As a friend Amelia is extremely loyal however she is sometimes condescending about obvious problems, however, she is extremely empathetic and will often beat herself up over how her words affect other's even if she doesn't show it outwardly. Mother's side: The Kellys are a proud clan originating from Ireland. Her grandparents, however, fled Ireland just before the birth of her mother Dianna in order to escape their ever growing debt. After her mother grew older she returned to Ireland to spend time with her ill cousin Alannah and in doing so, met her father.
Father: Conner O'Brian was the last member of his clan when Dianna returned to Ireland, after they met their whirlwind romance led her to settle down and stay with him in Galway where they eventually had Amelia.
Backstory:
After Amelia was born, she and her parents lived in a cottage just outside of town previously owned by her late second cousin Alannah. It was a lovely cottage and her family was perfectly happy in Galway for the first 13 years of her life until some less than savery folk realized that her mother had returned to Ireland and came knocking at her door for her parent's debt. They attempted to pay with assistance from her grandparents, who had been saving up money to repay the debt when they had enough, and the loan sharks accepted the money with interest. They were happy to be free from the debt, however, Amelia was a rebellious child and throughout the whole ordeal she often found it funny to prank the criminals dealing with them, nearly ending with violence on a few occasions. Her parents feared that she would be unsafe to live so close to criminals who could decide at any moment to come back for her and decided to move near her Grandparents in Japan. Shortly after they arrived Amelia began mma training as a means to pass the time, she didn't intend to get into any fights but her parents still saw this as a sign that they were right to move away from Galway. They have lived there for three years so far and while Amelia misses Ireland she has settled in quickly in Japan, growing to love the scenery and culture.
