Situations
/*Do not mention use of FearRP*/

During a work-shift a student starts cursing at you for being pathetic, how does your character react?:

she would say "I'm here to help keep the school clean for students like you to be comfortable in, so can we please be respectful?" If they don't stop, she would say "I'm warning you. Be respectful to everyone." If they continue, she would stay calm and say "Do you want to go to detention?" And if they still don't stop, she would hand them a detention slip and say "You may report to the detention room after school. It's in the other side of school," She would add helpfully.

You notice two students are physically fighting in the hallway, – multiple punches have been thrown – how does your character react?:

She would run to them and say loudly "Stop the fight, break it up!" And she would hold them both apart from each other and say "I need help at (The location of the fight)" over the radio, and wait for help to come. If no one can come, she would talk to them and give them both a detention slip and keep an eye on them for the rest of school.
Another school employee is clearly acting inappropriately, doing something very dangerous on the job, how does your character react?:

I would tell them to stop and tell the higher-rank employees. If they do not stop, I would do the same thing and try to stop them. If they do not stop, I would report them to SLT.
When in the employee break room, how does your character act?

She would talk with fellow employees, chatting and asking them how their day was going.
Provide us with at least three detailed /me's of your character whilst on your chosen role:

/me
would hum as she shoveled snow out of the school gate to make it easier for students to move through. She would then pour salt over the ice to make it less slippery and less probable that a student or employee would get hurt.
/me laughed at (a school employee)'s joke, and then said "Anyway, (Mr/Mx/Mrs/Ms) (The employee's name) How was your day?"
/me would kneel down to the young student and notice a red bump on their cheek pulsing. "Who did that? You should see the nurse immediately." She would lead them to the nurse's office, and dismiss them by saying "Take care."

Backstory

Early Life:
Mina Ashoto was born into a loving, multicultural family in a small town. Her mother, Seema, was of Arabic descent, and her father, Hiroshi, was Japanese. Mina’s grandmother, Abuela Maria, was Spanish, and she played a significant role in raising Mina and her younger sister, Sakui.

From a young age, Mina was known for her boundless energy and ambition. She loved helping her parents around the house and took pride in keeping things tidy and organized. Her parents encouraged her curiosity and drive, and they instilled in her the importance of hard work and kindness.

Learning Languages:
When Mina was six, her sister Sakui was born. A few years later, the family discovered that Sakui was deaf. Instead of being disheartened, Mina took it upon herself to learn Japanese Sign Language (JSL) so she could communicate with her sister. She quickly became fluent, using JSL to include Sakui in everything, from family meals to playing games. Their bond grew stronger because of this shared language, and Mina became her sister’s greatest advocate.

At the same time, Mina spent a lot of time with her grandmother, Abuela Maria, who only spoke Spanish. Mina loved listening to her grandmother’s stories and learning about her Spanish heritage. Eager to connect with her grandmother, Mina learned Spanish, practicing with Abuela Maria every day until she was fluent.

Mina’s mother, Seema, also wanted her to understand and appreciate her Arabic roots. Mina was enthusiastic and soon became fluent in Arabic, speaking it with her mother during their daily routines. This made Mina trilingual, and she often switched between languages with ease, depending on whom she was talking to.

School Years:
In school, Mina was a bright student, always eager to learn and help others. She excelled in languages and often assisted her classmates with their studies. Despite her academic abilities, Mina found herself drawn to more hands-on work. She enjoyed organizing events, cleaning up after school functions, and helping the janitors with odd jobs. She felt a deep sense of satisfaction in making her surroundings better for everyone.

As she grew older, Mina began to consider what she wanted to do with her life. While her friends aimed for traditional careers, Mina felt a pull toward a role where she could make a direct, tangible impact on her community. She realized that her passion for taking care of her environment, combined with her love for helping others, could lead her to a fulfilling career.

Becoming a Caretaker:
After high school, Mina decided to work as a school caretaker while taking part-time classes in Facility Management to further her skills. She found joy in her work, knowing she was creating a clean, safe space for students like her sister, Sakui, to learn and grow. Her multilingual abilities also helped her communicate with students and staff from diverse backgrounds, making her an invaluable part of the school community.

Mina continued to work hard, and by the age of 25, she was not only a respected caretaker but also a mentor to others. She shared her knowledge and skills with new caretakers and encouraged them to see the importance of their role in the school. Mina’s journey from a young girl with ambition to a dedicated caretaker was fueled by her love for her family, her community, and her desire to make the world a better place, one clean hallway at a time.

Motivation for Joining KHS (Character perspective):

After finishing high school and starting her part-time studies in Facility Management, Mina Ashoto faced a critical decision: where would she begin her career? She knew she wanted a job that aligned with her values and passions—something hands-on, impactful, and connected to the community.

Connection to the School:
The local school held a special place in Mina’s heart. It was the same school she had attended as a child, where she had first learned the importance of hard work and kindness. It was also where Sakui was now a student, navigating her education with the help of Japanese Sign Language. Mina had seen firsthand the challenges that students like Sakui faced and how much a safe, clean, and welcoming environment could support their learning.

A Personal Mission:
Mina’s experiences with her sister’s education deepened her understanding of how crucial a supportive school environment was, not just for students with disabilities but for all students. She remembered how, during her school days, she had always felt comforted by the caretakers who kept the classrooms and hallways clean and safe. To Mina, those caretakers were unsung heroes who contributed to the students' success by creating a space where they could focus on learning.

Her sister Sakui’s experiences motivated Mina to become one of those heroes. She wanted to be part of the school community, not just as a staff member but as someone who could make a real difference in students' lives, especially those who faced unique challenges like Sakui.

Returning to Give Back:
Returning to her old school as a caretaker felt like a natural choice for Mina. It was a way for her to give back to the place that had shaped her and to ensure that her sister, along with all other students, had the best environment possible. She knew that by maintaining the school, she wasn’t just cleaning floors or fixing things; she was helping create a positive, nurturing space where students could thrive.

Her deep connection to the school and her commitment to supporting her sister and others like her gave Mina a sense of purpose that drove her to excel in her role. It wasn’t just a job for her—it was a personal mission to ensure that every student, regardless of their challenges, had the opportunity to succeed in a safe and caring environment. This motivation kept Mina dedicated and passionate about her work, making her an integral part of the school community.

She’s not just applying for a job—she’s applying to make a positive impact on a place that means a lot to her and her family.

2. Multilingual Skills

Mina is fluent in Japanese Sign Language (JSL), Spanish, and Arabic, which allows her to communicate effectively with a diverse group of students, staff, and parents. 3. Dedication to Student Well-being

Mina’s motivation to become a caretaker goes beyond routine maintenance. She is deeply committed to creating a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for all students, especially those with unique challenges like her sister. Her understanding of the importance of a supportive environment in education drives her to ensure that every student feels comfortable and valued at school.

4. Practical Experience and Education

Mina has practical experience in custodial and maintenance work, gained through her hands-on approach during her school years and part-time jobs. Additionally, her studies in Facility Management have provided her with a solid foundation in building maintenance, safety procedures, and efficient management practices. This combination of experience and education equips her with the skills needed to excel in the role.

5. Strong Work Ethic and Ambition

Mina’s ambition and strong work ethic are evident in everything she does. She has always taken pride in her work, whether it’s learning new languages to communicate with her family, taking on responsibilities at home, or helping maintain her school. Her determination and proactive attitude ensure that she will go above and beyond in her duties as a caretaker.

6. A Caring and Compassionate Nature

Mina’s caring and compassionate nature makes her a perfect fit for a role that involves supporting the school community. She genuinely cares about the well-being of students and staff and understands that her work as a caretaker plays a crucial part in their daily lives. Her approach to the job isn’t just about maintaining a building; it’s about creating an environment where everyone feels safe, respected, and cared for.
