I’m really active on SRP, considering I’m online every single frickin day for a prolonged period of time, it’s only natural that I am able to get in lots of roleplay in! Whether this means bothering Kagura and Koi on my lawyer or vandalising somebody’s vehicle on my delinquent! I’m very involved with faction work, constantly interacting and exploring new perspectives throughout this server!
FAMILYRP:
I think atleast every SRP player has been a part of FamilyRP whether it’s a two-person family, or a full family full of lots of people. I’ve been inside plenty of families, met lots of people and learned a lot. Some of the old families I was in include the Misono family, the Ketsueki (i think that was how you spelt it..?) which were some of the first ever family I was in, and I’m forever grateful for being accepted during my early days of SRP as I learned so much from being in this family.
Some notable families (for me) that I’ve been in this year include the Ventresca (Now rebranded to the Myeong Family) which I joined at a friend’s request and slowly began to interact within the family with my character, Ines. When I ended up getting the Lawyer role, Ines ended up becoming the family head. However, I ended up leaving shortly since I didn’t see Ines logically adopting a bunch of kids, reverting back to Ines’s original name Ines Kōvač-Rennan, and adopting Inari Kōvač-Lenue as a child instead since their dynamic felt a lot more fluid and made sense lore-wise considering Ines and her backstory, it will most likely be her and Inari under the Kōvač or Rennan name considering Ines takes pride in her family and their reputation (Which is Ironic considering her child is literally a gang leader..)
I haven’t gone into depth into much of the families I’ve been in since I don’t think they’re relevant xx
FACTIONRP:
Honestly, I’ve only ever been a part of two factions during my time playing SchoolRP (Since 2020), this was mostly due to my fear of being perceived or just interaction with others in general. I first applied for my first faction late last year, and ended up leaving due to a situation that occurred within my third/fourth week in.
However, I did end up reapplying and no hard feelings to the faction but thank God I was denied because the shrine apps ended up opening!
My other faction that I’ve joined was Government as a Prosecuting Lawyer which I’ve found a pretty fun faction to be in! Its full of roleplay opportunities which I absolutely LOVE and recently have only been playing on Ines due to my loss of interest in playing a highschooler, within this short period of time of being active within this faction I’ve faced nothing but love! Apart from that, whilst playing Ines I’ve noticed I’ve met a lot more people/interacted with much more people which includes a large range of players suchhh assss: Teachers, Professors, School Employees, Maidens, Priests, Hospital workers, The hospital director, Police officers and detectives and so much other people who have given me so much substance to work with!!
GANGRP:
In my early days of SRP, I was invited to join a (semi?) active gang. I was active and attended as much trainings as I could, I ended up disappearing from SRP for a lengthy period of time and I honestly don’t remember what happened after that clearly. After this period of time, I joined another gang which I didn’t last in for much considering it was a friends only gang and I got bored of it pretty quickly. I left that gang and joined Sinnerous, before leaving and getting into DelinquentRP.
DELINQUENTRP:
Like all of the other gangs I was in, I was invited to join this Moebius by a friend. I wasn’t much of an active member but during this period of time I think my DetailRP was enhanced. I wasn’t a member of this gang for a long time considering the leader got banned which caused us to completely become a new gang called Pink Panther. Currently, I’m the right hand of Pink Panther which is an active gang xx.

What position are you applying for (Maiden or Priest)?
I am applying to become a Maiden.
What is your motivation for applying?
I’m looking to apply for the Shrine faction in general, I’ve always been drawn to the quiet atmosphere of the Shrine. That was a lie, the shrine is not quiet when KOI is around. Anywho, I don’t really have a real reason for wanting to join the faction except an interest in the faction and Shintoism as a whole. The only reason I’m trying my luck with applying for Shrine is because of the variety of people I’ve met and gotten close with who have inspired me to join, specifically as a Maiden.
Going back to the ‘real reason’, I kind of do have some. I'm pursuing new perspectives of roleplay, opening my eyes to different types of scenarios and characters with a completely new character and personality to build and one roleplay perspective i've been keen on joining in on has been the Shrine, i view the faction as a lore-built shrine with more depth put towards it then other factions (in my opinion), my other reason would have to be my friends and the many characters I've met and roleplayed with at shrine. They hold very interesting personalities, jokes and stories that I'd like to take part of one day :)
What do you currently know about Shintoism? Are you willing to learn more about it?
I do not know much about Shintoism, however whilst writing my application and character lore, I did some research on the basics of Shintoism; this is what I learnt.
(神道) which is the Japanese term for ‘Shinto’ is an indigenous Japanese religion which focuses on ritual practices, nature and reverence for ancestors and spirits.
reverence: admiration, high regard, admire, respect.
CORE BELIEFS:
Kami (神): are not gods in the Western sense, they are the central concept in Shintoism and are spirits/deities that inhabit natural objects, animals, places and/or ancestors. (I think they don’t really interact with people who don’t follow/believe in them if im right !!)
Purity and Pollution (穢れ): Ritual purifications performed in order to remove spiritual pollution, an example being the cleansing of the hands before one is to enter the shrine or the practice of spreading salt to cleanse a place.
Harmony with Nature: as mentioned before, Kami are believed to house themselves within mountains, rivers, trees and rocks which creates a notion of them being sacred!
Ancestor Worship: It is believed that a family’s ancestors can influence the living, so it is important to respect and honour them.
No Absolute Scripture: Shintoism doesn’t have a single holy book unlike many other religions! Teachings are passed through rituals, myths and shrines.
PRACTICES:
Visiting Shrines (神社): A shrine Is a place for people to pray, give offerings and seek blessings.
Festivals (祭): These are seasonal festivities that celebrate that kami, nature and life.
Rites of Passage: These include births, weddings and/or other live events that often involve Shinto rituals.
Purification Rituals: Water or salt is used to cleanse people, objects and/or places.
SACRED PLACES:
Shrines (神社): A ‘structure’ dedicated to specific kami.
Torii Gates (鳥居): these gates mark the entrance to sacred spaces, separating the sacred from the profane.
Sacred Nature: these include mountains, rivers and trees which may count as shrines themselves.
This may not be correct, but this is what I believe Shintoism to be, and I hope to learn much more about Shintoism in the future whether I am accepted or not !
Character Full Name:
An envoy stepped forth ward, light colored fabric rustling against his broad figure as he bowed towards you, back completely straight as he held his position for a prolonged period of time — slowly bringing himself to an upright position with a friendly smile plastered across his face. “Nice to meet you, I have brought Urumi Rei with me today.” A few steps behind the male were an undistinguishable person, unable to tell whether they were male or female, you peer closer at them, gaze steady as you take in their appearance.
Long, and incredibly messy hair sits atop of their head — decorated with a single string of beads with a feather attached alongside a protection sigil. Their platinum hair doesn’t shine, it looks slightly tangled with clear damage to it, eyes hidden behind a blindfold. An unsteady voice emits from the person, low and shaky. “A-afternoon.. My name is Uru-.. Uru..” a glance downwards and you would catch the persons shaking hands, bruised, bandaged and hurt. “Urumi.. Rei..” The envoy doesn’t seem to care as much, as if they were used to this, to this pathetic excuse of a person. If you could even call them that.
Character Title:
You lead them to the tea house and, watch the pair step off their geta sandals and turn to enter a room in expertly synchronization. Urumi seems to be using their hand to guide themselves, were they blind? You realise you’ve almost messed the tea up whilst you were thinking to yourself. Shaking your head, you give the two one last glance before turning your back on the peculiar pair to continue steeping the fragrant tea with measured, slow and precise actions. A tray is produced, alongside an elegant teapot and three ceramic bowls — you nod your head as you place the set atop of the table, before quickly kneeling down to serve them their tea.
Urumi seems to have taken off their blindfold, however their hair is obscuring half of their face. “… Th-Th.. Thank yOou..” they stutter, turning slightly red at the voice crack they suffered.
You choke over your words, caught off-guard by the sudden thanks, simply bowing your head in appreciation. “Uru-.. Er, how would you prefer I call you?”
Rei’s eyes shoot up, lingering on yours just long enough for you to catch a glimpse of their freakishly black irises. “Pr-Priest, or Priestess Uru..mi” – “A-Ah! Rei, too.. Is fine..” You can’t help but feel a pang of guilt, if that was what you could call it.
Character Age:
The man sitting next to Rei had not touched his tea, by now it had grown lukewarm. Urumi’s bowl on the other hand, was completely gone — no, like.. Completely gone.. The bowl, the whole thing was just gone, entirely gone... You decide to ignore it, simply asking another question. “How old are you, Priestess Rei?” this earns a smile from the stranger; twisted and, sorrowful but definitely with a hint of warmness.
“I-I.. I’m t-turni-” was all they could muster before the man sitting across of you nudged Rei, not softly, no — It was a harsh shove, catching Rei off balance before they scrambled back to their kneeling position. “Twenty-One, I’m.. Twenty-One.”
Character Marital Status:
A quick glance over the persons hands reveals beautiful hands, long and, slender with long oval-shaped nails on the end of each finger, topped with a pretty design of bleeding, blue spider lilies against a black background. Their fingers are bare, no ring to be found in sight. “Forgive me for this question, you are single, yes?”
A single nod from the person confirms they are single.
Character Nationality:
By now the priest/ess seems to be sweating buckets, cold sweat running down their temple and neck in slow drops, you can notice a clear swallow and a discomfort radiating from the individual. “Th-This country..” – “I was b-.. bor.. born! I-In this country..” They bring their hand up to their mouth, seemingly beginning to chew on their nails before realising they had their nails done.
The envoy cuts in, his eyes closed as he finally picks up the now cold tea, taking a light sip of the tea before setting it down with a grimace. “What they mean to say is that they’re Japanese.” Rei nods slowly, their eyebrows furrowing together in disappointment.
Degree/Certifications (If applicable):
“No, none.” And once again, it is the male responding for them. Did Rei even talk..?
Backstory
Rei opens their mouth to speak before they are rudely cut off by the envoy once again, “Nothing out of the ordinary, just.. Normal.” A glint in Rei’s eyes tells you that was not the case, you do not pry any further.
CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE / SITUATIONS
How does your character act around shrine grounds? How do they interact with guests and other staff?
Rei is quite shy around guests, however they will often give out random fun facts out and does sometimes come off as off-putting or awkward, they try their best to be polite and kind but comes off like a puppy vying for attention from its mother. Rei will always welcome a guest with warmness and perhaps even a quick rundown of the shrine and its rules if they are new. One thing that will never change is the blindfold that is worn around their eyes, never being taken off around anybody.
Rei is a tad bit clingier with his fellow co-workers, lingering behind whilst observing conversation between others. They will also memorise facts and stuff about these people, such as grouping them into personalities or trying to imagine what they would look like. Rei also will try a joke every now and then, however it will just come out as awkward with forced laughter. Rei rarely leaves the shrine unless they're dragged off by another worker, usually just keeping to themselves but not in an anti-social way.. !!
You see a guest jumping around the roofs of the building and overall disrespecting shrine grounds, how would your character handle it?
If nobody else is around, Rei would most likely shiver in their boots for a good few minutes before racking up the confidence to approach the persona and explain the importance of the shrine though complicated comprehending. Will suggest a small warning, and if they continue to ignore Rei’s words, they will give them about three warnings before calling the KPD to escort the guest down. But like if Rei is feeling way too shy, they’ll prolly go whine to someone to talk to them. If this is a repeat offense, Rei would look into blacklisting them.
Why does your character want to become a shrine maiden/priest? What do they wish to achieve?
Rei was born into an abusive family, running away and surviving in the active streets of the red-light district as a Toyoko kid where they tried their best to survive by earning money for the family. Rei ended up getting traumatised by the cruelness and physical abuse they endured and wound up nearly dead in the gutters. They were saved and taken in by a Priest who nursed the child back to health and slowly taught them how to live again, teaching them about Shintoism. The priest would end up passing away years later, leaving behind one singular possession to Rei which was a worn silver locket containing a picture of the old man. Rei believes that the soul of the priest resides within the locket and usually talks to it on a daily basis. Rei would end up applying to a shrine on the mainland where the old man used to work, being sort of just there since nobody wanted to train them properly. The shrine workers on the mainland would end up hearing about the Karakura shrine opening for workers and decided to try and send Rei there.Rei wants to become a Maiden.. Because it was all they were taught. Does that really count? Rei wants to LEARN everything about the religion, become favoured and perhaps even healed. GOD do they wish they would be healed.
What are the core values of your character?
˖ִ໋❀.. Kindess for animals, nature and humanity no matter what.
˖ִ໋❀ .. Repect for sacred places & rules, at all times.
˖ִ໋❀ .. Loyalty and attachment, may come off as clingy.
˖ִ໋❀ .. Desire for belonging.
˖ִ໋❀ .. Faith & spiritual devotion.
˖ִ໋❀ .. Hope for healing.
