Previously known as Kyū (ku), meaning nine, Urumi was stripped of the moniker she was given by the rest
of the Tōyoko kids.

Among the other Tōyoko kids, she was known as The Ninth (Kyū-banme) or Nine (Kyū).
Out of the Twenty-Three other kids, Urumi was the ninth in the small group.
During busy hours, the large group of children would work together to gather, shoplift
and steal from the citizens.

The name Urumi Rei (oo-roo-mee raay) originates from the nipponese language, meaning blurred spirit.
She was named by a priest who had graciously swept her off the streets of Kabukichō in shinjuku where she had grown up as
one of the many Tōyoko kids that would do anything they could to survive.

>> 絶望の巫女 || The Maiden of Despair

Description ৎ

[潤み 霊] whilst the fresh scent of linen clung to Urumi, subtle undertones consisting of Ink, Cinnamon and Sandalwood could be Indentified. Long, white hair stuck to her body — framing a pale face with heavy-lidded eyes, rimmed with kohl and a pop of color — usually a fiery red or an indigo blue. .˚ ˖ִ໋❀

General Appearance ৎ

Standing at 5’1” (155cm) in her trailing robes, Urumi stands with one purpose — to hide. A noticeable height boost can be caught, an extra four centimeters added to her height, furthering her miserly presence to 5'2" (159cm). Rei's body is slim and refined, with just enough muscle to suggest discipline and control. Her skin is consistently pale, with no blemishes nor scarring to be found across her body with the sole exception of two moles sat directly under each eye. Her makeup is rarely noticeable, a light dab of red blush pressed into her cheeks followed by black kohl rimming her eyes, and either a red or blue eyeshadow dusting her eyelids. Her dreary eyes are paired with eyebags earned by countless sleepless nights, expressing some sort of weary fatigue. Urumi's face is framed by virgin, white hair brushing over her shoulders with subtle highlights woven into each strand. Her hair is often worn into eloquent half up, half downs or let down to fall naturally against her body.

子供時代 || CHILDHOOD

家族 (Kazoku), is the most common Japanese word for family, but for Urumi, it was a word that had lost its meaning before she could even register
the weight behind the word, without a name properly given to her, Urumi was referred to as 娘 (Musume) which translates to 'my daughter'. It was a
placeholder name, a generic label given to her by her parents who were too disinterested to name their firstborn.

Urumi was a planned baby, with a notepad overflowing with names and the most expensive baby clothes and furniture ready for their dear
baby girl, 一恵 (Kazue), translating to 'first blessing'. The day her mothers water broke, and she was rushed out to a local hospice — she struggled
to give birth to Urumi, with multiple instances of her fainting and endangering the baby inside of her.

Pale skin, red eyes and white hair. Urumi was different, a trait that would bring their family unwanted attention.

"The nail that sticks out gets hammered down"

A popular quote that she had grown up hearing too much times,

思春期 || ADOLESCENCE

Cast out at eleven into the neon of Shinjuku, Urumi — still known as Musume first stood beneath the Godzilla head in Kabukicho, she wasn't Musume anymore. She was just another 'Landmine Girl' in 10 centimeter platforms, trying to drown out the memory of home with the scent of cheap tobacco and cold medicine.

新成人 || YOUNG ADULTING
