The screen crackled to life in front of you. With that, a strange, imposing figure appeared. Long white hair flowed down her front and her back as she elegantly walked into frame, before sitting down, facing the camera. A sage streak slid down her otherwise snowy hair, like a forest shining through a blizzard. A faint whisper of a voice came through the screen. “Shiori Hinode. I am 27.” Her eyes met the camera first. One blue, one green, both so different but so complementary they were almost hypnotizing. “I was born in Osaka, Japan. My mother and Father are both of Japanese origin, therefore making me Japanese myself.” Shiori fluttered her eyes closed, elegantly pushing up her glasses to the bridge of her nose, puckering her lips slightly as she began to speak again.
“I am applying for an Animal and nature-themed cafe called ‘Osozaki’, which is
Japanese for Late-blooming. My mother owned a restaurant in Osaka, which was locally popular for its sweet treats and amazing Matcha. In honor of her, I want to continue her legacy here in Karakura and give the people here a chance to taste the greatness of her Matcha. My mother always found the light in the darkness of things. Whenever I was upset about something, she would relate it to a late-blooming flower, describing how they are always the prettiest. I aspire to be someone as lively and as beautiful as her, and create an environment as comforting and welcoming with my shop as she did with hers.” She stopped for a moment, almost regaining her composure before starting again in a more serious tone of voice. “I have multiple years of business management experience, as well as graduated with a major in Business Management and a minor in Marketing. I have spent most of my college and high school years by my mother’s side, helping her run her shop until she fell ill, and ultimately decided to close down. I have also worked at other cafes and have years of experience as a barista and server. I have many pets, and have experience with raising and handling animals with the correct knowledge of taking proper care of them.” With those final words, she folded her hands, sitting up straight, once again pushing up her glasses before speaking.
“As for my upcoming,” with a clear of her throat, she began. “I grew up in Toyono, Osaka, surrounded by my family. We were middle-class, and I was constantly engulfed in studies. Our house was my solace. It was an old, traditional Japanese house, but it was home. As a child who often kept to themselves, the greenhouse was where I was often found. Surrounded by various plants and flowers, vegetables, and fruits. The garden was something that was always kept up with, even if our house was old and outdated. Being in the countryside was often the best place to watch the wildlife grow. Deer, rabbits, other rodents, and animals roam the backyard; the common sight was something I’ve grown to miss over the years. Throughout my childhood, I excelled in academics, being admitted into prestigious Senior High School and Universities. After graduating from University, I was always with my family, whether it was working with them, studying with them, or just… existing with them. I took up many different jobs as I continued my studies to gain multiple areas of experience. My family was an anchor in my life. However, most of my time was spent with my mother. Whether it was in her shop, helping her bake, tend to her plants, or even her animals, it was always her and me.”
A long pause… before a soft whisper. “When my mother died, a part of me also died. I dyed a piece of my hair sage green as a tribute to my mother, as it was her favorite color. I like to have her with me everywhere, to know she’s always by my side, watching over me. Other than being with my family, I like to keep to myself, or with animals, taking care of them and my plants, or baking.” And with that, she ended the recording with a bow, a final sign of formality and respect.

What shop are you applying for and will you be changing the name?
I am applying to replace the shop ‘Soileil Kumo’ and change the name to ‘Osozaki’.
°❀.ೃ࿔*
Why do you want to become a Shopkeeper?:
My main reason? The community. I want to create a space on SRP where everyone can come together and hang out. No matter the tag, grade or any sort of role, Osozaki is a place where people can come and have a good experience!
For various different groups, there are different hot spots. For example, Volleyballers have beach courts, and sports teams have their respective houses. However, I feel as though for some people, when there is nothing to do, you often find yourself running around Karakura or peoplewatching. As someone who has experienced running around with no destination, watching groups interact, and wishing I had that same outcome, I want to create a place where everyone can feel that.I want Osozaki to be a place where people can come to not just shop but hang out and interact, meet new people, and build a community.
My secondary reason? The Experience. I played SRP back a couple of years ago. Even though I dont remember much other than a completely different map, coming back now was like learning a whole new server. Getting interested and deeply involved into the server made me realize I want to know more about the different factions. The role of the Shopkeeper has always interested me since day 1, more than any other faction. I plan on using the shop faction as my introduction and my way to get more experience and ways to get more in-depth with other factions in the future.
°❀.ೃ࿔*
What do you plan to do with your shop, and what makes it unique?:
‘Osozaki’, meaning Late-bloomer, is an animal-themed cafe, based mostly on the popular Rainforest Cafe. This shop cafe is decorated in a very natural theme, with flowers, foliage, fauna, and most importantly, critters! From the selection of animal-themed food and drinks to the Enclosure walls, Osozaki encapsulates many different points of nature. Some of these enclosures rotate out to buy, along with plushies, plants, accessories, and other furniture on a weekly to bi-weekly basis! The floors feature vast seating areas, barista bars, service sections, quiet zones, and even a small area with a stage for music performances. (Away from the animals, of course. No need to startle our critters!) Osozaki is a lively cafe, planning to be open frequently, around 2-3 times a week. We also plan to keep the doors open, meaning that people may come and go as they please to sit and chat with friends, study, and even admire our animals. Just, please don’t touch them without a staff member present!
°❀.ೃ࿔*
What will you sell in your shop?:
We will sell a vast amount of animal-themed dishes, drinks, and desserts, as well as your normal cafe menu. Such as coffees, teas, pastries, and other savory treats. There will be a rotation of 2 items; usually a plushie, furniture, or accessory as well as an enclosure that will also be on sale bi-weekly. Some of these items may include:
If my shop gets approved, I plan on buying around 10 custom items and 5 custom pieces of furniture to begin creating dishes and items inspired by the photos in this collage!

°❀.ೃ࿔* EMPLOYEES °❀.ೃ࿔*
How many employees do you plan to have?:
Every week, I plan to have at least 2-3 openings. In every opening, I plan to have at least myself or a manager present, as well as ~2 Baristas, ~3 Servers, and ~2 Security. That being said, I would like to have around 30 total employees, broken up into different sections. Applicants need to go through 2 parts of the application process. First, a form that employees can fill out for some OOC information, then a more detailed IC interview to learn more about their character and motivations for working at Osozaki.
We plan to have an employee roster as follows:
°❀.ೃ࿔*
. ShopKeeper [1/1]: Bebeesie
The keeper is the head of the shop, responsible for overseeing the staff,
making sure everything is stocked, in order, and working perfectly together.
. Bookkeeper [2/2]: vcr55 | LuxidDream
The Bookkeepers are responsible for assisting the keeper in their duties, as well as managing the
staff, helping with openings, and alerting the keeper of any issues that cannot be addressed by themselves.
. Floor Supervisor [0/1+]:
The Barista Supervisor is responsible for supervising the employees as well as training them,
making sure they know their correct role requirements and how to efficiently do their job.
. Barista [1/10+]: Jelloria
The barista’s main working area is behind the counter. They are in charge of taking walk-up orders and
fulfilling them, as well as assisting servers if needed. They will never leave the counter unless requested by a higher-up.
. Server [0/10+]:
The server is in charge of serving customers who decide to sit and order without ordering at a counter.
They will offer assistance to customers if needed, as well as give information on enclosures, animals, and answer other questions when asked.
. Security [1/2+]: 54241
The security is in charge of making sure there is no commotion inside the cafe. They are there to make sure there are no fights,
theft, vandalism, or anything else with malicious intent. Their main priority is keeping the Staff safe and the shop in order.

“Critter Crusade!”
The animals from the enclosures seem to have escaped last night… Was it planned? Or maybe… assisted by an employee!? Wait a minute… The employees look a little different today…
[ADVERT] OSOZAKI is now OPEN! But, today something seems… different..? The employees are… Fuzzy?? Do they even speak JAPANESE?! And where are all the animals? The enclosures are EMPTY?! Come to [location] to solve this critter crusade!
Roster: 1 HU, 3 BARISTAS, 3 SERVERS, 2 SECURITY
Setting: “normal” shop setting, ‘broken’ enclosures, dirty floors.

They will not speak, only using /it and some sort of chittering to respond. We will have someone announce and explain the situation, asking for some sort of help. There will be ‘clues’ hidden on certain employees, and upon speaking to them, they will unlock said clue.
2. Heading upstairs to the animal showcases, they will be ‘destroyed’ and the area will be dirty. There will be 2 clues to find up here. Upon finding them, and the one hidden on the employee downstairs, report back to the announcer to solve the mystery. The first 2 people to solve the mystery will receive some sort of prize.
3. Music, games, and other drinks..?
