Karakura Church Update
The Karakura Church, a Western staple of Karakura, sits nestled between the Shopping District and the Ochiba forest, just off of Komichi road. The church stands out on our Japanese island, due to the Westernized build style often found in Europe or the Americas. The church would have features commonly shared with other churches that follow Christianity. The Karakura Church would offer this religious practice, despite its minority in Japan, and would be quite a popular spot for the mixing pot that is our city. The church was founded during the Meiji period, during the restoration when a ban on Christianity was lifted, allowing religious freedom throughout the country.
