Esme 1.png

Describe your character:
A graceful and stylish young woman, she carries herself with a calm, collected confidence. She exudes both warmth and quiet authority. Her long, layered hair falls in soft waves past her shoulders, fading from a warm, dusty brown into a sleek-black an elegant two-tone gradient that reflects both professionalism and personality. Her expressive blue eyes are gentle but observant, capable of offering comfort. Framed by her softly flowing hair, her face holds a kind, understanding expression.

What is your character's outlook on students and co-workers?:
I believe every student has potential, even if they don’t see it in themselves yet. I’m here to guide them, not just academically, but as people. I treat them with respect and patience, even when they struggle. As for my co-workers, I see them as a team. We may not always agree, but we all want the best for our students. I value open communication and mutual support.

What is your character's motivation for teaching?:
I teach because I believe in the power of growth. Watching a student’s eyes light up when they finally understand something that moment means everything to me. Teaching gives me a sense of purpose. I see it as planting seeds. I might not see the results right away, but I trust that something I say or do will help a student somewhere down the line. It’s quiet work, but it matters.

A student in class is struggling to understand the content, what would your character do?:
Noticing the student’s furrowed brow and hesitation, Esme would quietly approach their desk during a work period. Kneeling slightly to their level, she’d speak softly so as not to draw attention.

“Hey, I noticed you’re having a bit of trouble, want to walk through it together?” she’d ask gently, her voice encouraging rather than pressuring.

She’d then explain the concept again using simpler terms, drawing examples from the student’s interests if possible to help it click. If the student still didn’t quite get it, she wouldn’t rush them or make them feel bad.

“That’s totally okay,” she’d say with a warm smile. “Some things take time. What matters is that you’re trying, and I’m here to help every step of the way.”

A student is continuously being disruptive in class, talking out of turn, and making jokes with classmates. What would your character do?:
With a gentle but firm tone, Esme would pause the lesson, allowing the room to settle. She’d then address the student not with anger, but with calm authority.

“[Student’s Name], I can see you’re full of energy today,” she’d say, offering a small smile to keep the atmosphere light but purposeful. “But right now, this space belongs to everyone, and your classmates deserve the same focus and respect that you do.”

Provide at least 2 interactive class ideas related to your preferred subject:
Mystery Ingredient Challenge:
The students would be made to do a mystery ingredient challenge, being divided up into small teams (3-4 students per team). Each team receiving a basket with mystery ingredients: Chicken, mango, different kind of sauces! They would then be made to create a dish with the ingredients they have been given within a set amount of time, 45 (ic) minutes with the teacher or instructor tasting the dishing to provide creativity, presentation and or flavour

Around the World Cooking Day: Students in small groups (3-4 people per group) Would be made to choose a country to do a dish on such as, italy, Mexico, or even Japan. Students would research and present a traditional dish from the country or area. The group cooking their dishes would explain and share its cultural background. The class doing a tastin tour, learning about the international ingredients and the techniques of the dish and how it was prepared
