Describe your activity on the server:
I think I’m pretty active! I used to get on around 3pm after school until 11pm, but now that I’m graduated and it’s summer, I have more time to get on. Maybe I won’t be on ALL day every day, but I’ll be more active! At this time of me writing this, however, I just got back from a trip so I'm currently recovering from jetlag (which is pretty brutal right now). I actually joined SRP during late 2019 or 2020 and was active for a good chunk of my day back then, since it was during the pandemic when everything shut down. After a few months (I’d say 4 months) of playing, I quit for about a year, maybe less, before joining back with a new character in 2021. Most of my RP at the time was just family roleplay and spending time with friends. I had a small friend group at the time, and when the friend group eventually split three months after I joined, I went back to being inactive for two years. Then around 2022-2023, I AGAIN joined during the peak of GangRP - 2022-2023, but this time, I got into a mix of familyRP and GangRP. I did join a really popular gang at the time, and I ended up being a fairly popular character, especially when she died. Because I was still in school and my character’s death occurred at the end of summer break, I eventually ended up going inactive completely for about a year and a half due to how caught up I was in school. I was also experiencing a lot of mental struggles at the time, which did affect my activity on the game. However, it was around mid-August in 2024 that I joined back, and I’ve been mostly active since! This is the longest I’ve been active, with more commitment to roleplaying.
What is your motivation for applying?:
As I’ve stated before, the only RP I’ve ever done was family RP and hanging out with friends on rare occasions, and even experienced gang/criminal roleplay. This year, I got to experience jock roleplay after getting accepted onto the Bobcat female football team. However, I want to try something different. I want to know what it’s like to play as a character that deals with delinquents, unruly citizens, as well as experiencing different events that rely on officers. If I have to be honest, it’s just wanting to try something new. I’ve never had an adult character, nor did I really have the incentive to try applying for an adult role until now.
What knowledge do you have of Police Work?
My knowledge of the faction is probably very limited. What I know is from some friends and acquaintances who are in the KPD faction, and a few experiences during my time with an unruly character and experience.
Starting off with what I learned, I know that there are two different divisions. I might be wrong, but what I also know is that during a specific promotion, you can choose to rank up in the Main division or choose to go on to the detective division.

MAIN
A division that answers and acts accordingly with emergency calls, goes on
patrols, etc.
DETECTIVE
A division that is heavily role-play based.
Ranks from lowest to highest:
Cadet -> Patrol Officer -> Corporal, Sergeant -> Lieutenant -> Captain
Ranks from lowest to highest:
Detective Constable -> Detective Sergeant -> Detective Inspector ->
Detective Chief Inspector -> Detective Superintendent
From what I experienced, I know it is possible to have individuals in protective custody. Officers are required to escort those individuals around the station when needed. As far as I am aware, the only locations citizens are allowed to go to are the basement and the courtyard during protective custody, which lasts about a week OOCLY.
Also from experiencing and witnessing, officers can charge unruly citizens accordingly, for example, bail prices, charges, and jail sentencing. Once held in custody, all items in the detainee's possession are taken away.

Why is Police important to SchoolRP?
They are important to SRP because they are a faction dedicated to serving and protecting the city of Karakura, especially with its unusually high crime rate. Without KPD, the city would go rampant
Do you acknowledge that if training is held whilst you are online, you are required to attend or you will be punished?
Yes, I acknowledge that I will be held accountable if I miss training whilst I am online.

Describe your character; how they look, what makes them unique?
The female stood at a height of 5'6 and weighed 135 pounds with quiet confidence. Her expression would often show little to no emotion, though a hint of mischief would glimmer in her almond-shaped eyes. Her dark brown hair was wavy, draping to her lower back when undone, hiding away the small clip at the top of her left ear. The way she stared almost felt as if she was studying and judging every inch of your character. The scar on her hand often throbbed when she felt overwhelming fear and anxiety, reminding her that she had survived her horrific past. Some mistake her appearance as intimidating, though in reality, she was really just a big softie. Seraphina's tan skin, dark waves, scarred palm, and clipped ear are not remnants of the past. Though crime leaves marks, she doesn't let it define her. She uses those scars as a way to motivate herself to protect others so they don't have to carry the same burden and grief she once carried.
Because of her experience with violence, Seraphina prefers to wear muted color clothing to stay "on the down-low." Not only that, she prefers to wear practical clothing such as a fitted shirt, cargo pants, leggings, hoodies, and military boots.
How does your character act in a professional/casual situation?
During a professional situation, Seraphina's eyes are constantly scanning her environment, noting exits, and keeping an eye out for any suspicious individuals without appearing paranoid. She listens more than she speaks. In a casual setting, she doesn't seek any type of attention. She often leans back and is more of a listener than a talker.
What is their outlook on the idea of co-workers & teamwork?
Seraphina believes that teamwork is especially important in police work, especially when it comes to safety and community protection. However, due to her past, she learned that not everyone will act when needed. While she may not be chatty, she will help team members without being asked.
"Teamwork isn't depending on others to clean up your mistakes. It means that you're strong enough to stand and grow with them."
What's your character's backstory?
0-10
Seraphina was born in a small town in Italy to her Italian mother, Sofia Romano, and her Korean father, Cho Ji-Hoon, who had moved to Italy to work as a chef. When she was 4, her parents decided to open a small family-run restaurant that fused Italian and Korean food in a lively but rough neighborhood, where Seraphina grew up helping them by cleaning tables and carrying and washing dishes while listening to the cacophony of laughter and the wail of sirens.
From an early age, Seraphina was often exposed to the harsh realities of the small town she was raised. She often witnessed street crimes unfolding in broad daylight, from drug deals happening in alleyways, shoplifting from family-friends' stores, to fights breaking out in front of their restaurant. On one calm evening, a herd of drunkards barged into their restaurant and began to fight. It was only then that a glass bottle was suddenly thrown, shattering just inches away from the young girl. In those frantic moments, Sofia and Ji-Hoon rushed to protect her, though Seraphina's instinct was to stay observant.
11-14
At 11, Seraphina's parents became the victims of the very violence they vowed to protect her from. There was a local gang that was notorious for extorting businesses for money to gain "protection." However, her father, unwavering and firm, refused to comply with those demands. Angered, the gang would retaliate with a campaign of relentless harassment, stalking, and threats against the family.
On one late afternoon, while walking home from school, a tower of smoke rising in the sky caught her eye. To her horror, she realized that the smoke was coming from her family's restaurant. Rushing towards the building engulfed in flames, Seraphina stood paralyzed in horror as she heard the gut-wrenching screams of her parents trapped inside, begging for help, for mercy. In a frantic panic, she called for emergency services, though the flames had swallowed everything in their wake before help could arrive. The loss was unfathomable, and her parents had disappeared in front of her eyes.

After losing her parents, she was taken in by her Italian grandparents, who encouraged her to continue her studies, but Seraphina was filled with quiet anger. She couldn't understand how the world allowed such violence without consequence. Every court hearing felt like salt in an open wound. Every investigation would drag on without any progress or results. Despite the overwhelming evidence suggesting foul play, the culprits remained nameless, and those who knew remained silent, afraid that their voices would make them targets of the same harassment Seraphina's family faced.
15-18

At 15, the investigation regarding the deaths of her parents came to a close. Despite much evidence of foul play, no one was able to identify the culprits, nor did anyone aware of the real culprits want to share either. Frustrated and upset with the outcome, Seraphina moved to Korea to live with her father's sister, Chae-young, despite the cultural and emotional distance between them. At first, it was difficult to adjust to Korea. The culture there was completely different than what she was used to. Seraphina couldn't speak an ounce of Korean at all, and she struggled with the strict and judgmental environments of her new school, where she was often stared at and nitpicked for her tan skin and wavy dark hair. She felt like she didn't belong anywhere - she was either too Italian for Korea, or too Korean for Italy.
At the age of 16, Seraphina began to witness delinquents extorting money from her weaker classmates and schoolmates. Seeing her peers get harassed forced her to relive the same troubles her family had faced back in her hometown. Not wanting her classmates to suffer a similar fate as her parents, she convinced Chae-Young to enroll her in Krav Maga classes, a self-defense system that was developed. To improve her stamina, she began to go on early-morning jogs after a quick drink of a protein shake.
The beginning of her training was brutal. Since Krav Maga heavily emphasized techniques for real-world situations, she had to deal with sparring and other various forms of physical contact. Because of this, Seraphina would often come home heavily bruised, exhausted, and frustrated. Despite the exhaustion, she used her discomfort to fuel her motivation to push herself further. During the remainder of her high school career, she would do her best to defend her classmates from delinquents, even being a mediator during verbal arguments.
19 to Present
At 19, Seraphina decided to enroll in a university program that focused on criminal law and forensics, not only because she was dissatisfied with the outcome of the court hearings she had attended, but also because she was driven by the promise she had made to herself: never to look away. She saw how crime was different but still present in Korea - human trafficking, domestic violence that hid behind closed doors, young people falling into debt from gambling and to loan sharks - and that would be the same when she moved to Karakura at the age of 21. These issues would only solidify her goal of becoming a police officer who could protect others.

General knowledge

Can you legally own a pocket knife in Karakura?
"Pfft, of course not. It's possession of an illegal weapon! You'd go straight to jail for three months for getting caught with one. I wouldn't want to spend ¥150,000 to hide my stupidity."
Name 5 medical items that do NOT require a prescription
1. Paracetamol
2. Multivitamins and Iron Supplements
3. Melatonin
4. Cough Syrup
5. Eyepatches and Band-Aids
If you see your co-workers physically abusing an inmate, what should you do?
"Under no circumstances should we be abusing anyone, even if they're an inmate. I'll make sure that my body camera is recording and catch a bit of the abuse before going up to my co-worker and telling them to stop. If my co-worker is on a bit of a power trip and continues, I'll call for backup and let them know about the situation before immobilizing the assaulting officer."
What should you do if you see your co-worker being assaulted?
"I would most definitely radio in for assistance in either the immediate area or nearby and describe the situation and assailant, as well as if the assailant has a weapon that is lethal or non-lethal. I'd make sure to keep my eyes on them at all times in case they do decide to scurry away. IF they do, I'll be sure to radio in the other officers and bring an officer, if there are any nearby, and follow after them to make sure that the assailant faces punishment. Depending on whether other officers are chasing after the assailant or have them detained, I'll be sure to check in on the assaulted officer for any injuries and call for medical assistance if needed."
What do you do if you find out that your co-worker is corrupt and is helping criminal organizations?
"Woah, that's a crazy situation to be in. I'd probably be in shock like any other person, but I'll try my best to keep that knowledge on the down-low. I'll keep my body camera on - not that I'd ever turn it off while on duty - when I'm around them, just in case my eyes don't catch something. With the help of witnesses, I'd use their statements and try to build up as much evidence as I can before reporting it to the higher-ups. After that, the rest is up to them."
How would you react to a criminal trying to bribe you?
"Them trying to bribe me is an immediate fine on their end. They're getting NOTHING out of me. I mean, come on. Why would I risk my job and go against what I stand for? Anyways, I'll probably have to add to their sentence if they refuse. If they're already in prison, I mean."
