What's the title of your suggestion?: Visibility of Mt. Fuji from Karakura Island for Optifine/Feather Users

What's your suggestion?:
Given that Karakura Island is located just south-east of Izu Ōshima... and considering the clear line of sight across Sagami Bay, it is entirely plausible and even thematically fitting... that Mt. Fuji would be visible from mountain points on the island. Canonically, Izu Ōshima is Karakuras neighbouring island, and offers a breathtaking view of Mt. Fuji on clear days. So Karakura Island (being within the same atmospheric and geographic range) would definitely fall within the visibility radius.

I suggest incorporating Mt. Fuji as a distant yet majestic backdrop. (part of the skybox)
Visible when looking towards the horizon of the north-western map edge.
(You have to be high enough to look over the Kohaku Mountain range though)

How will this benefit the server and community?:
It would be a very cool detail that probably escapes most people until they climbed the Seinaru Monastery, Mt. Karakura, or one of the larger towers of the city, or when they acquired a bird whitelist. But it does root the setting even more firmly in Japan.

FAQ

Yes - I'm aware that the Kohaku Mountain range is blocking the sight for most of Karakura.
I still want it to be visible from the Seinaru Monastery and for hikers who climb the Kohaku mountain range!
(also think about the Bird Whitelists! Why does nobody think about the Bird Whitelists!)

Yes - Mt. Fuji is best visible during the cooler Winter months of the year and is only visible during clear sky.

Izu Karakura is within radius. See here:

I still think we deserve it! Yes Yes!

For people like me would use The Distant Horizon Mod, this would be a really nice way to connect Karakura to actual Main land Japan, since it would allow players to see Mt. Fuji much more clearly.

I honestly do not think it is possible as outside of the map is a stretch of lands where the build team goes and build. Believe that would be called the build warp, but i could be wrong. but i dont think this would be ideal since it would give away some builds that the server might have

Perhaps it can be in the form of maps like how it is in hypixel like their on the wall ( like in the picture below) and that wall can help conceal whatever build team is building from certain angles,

Nerd talk!

I think we can only see a range of 12...

Erik suggested here adding a skybox, which will make it visible no matter how far away you are from the object.

Skyboxes behave essentially as Skies of the game, displaying a still (or animated) image in the background, giving the game more of a realistic feel and also make the game appear larger than it really is, giving the player an illusion of distant 3D surroundings. They do not require a lot of processing power, as they are an image that is not rendered the same way as other objects in the game like players or blocks. That also means that they are visible to the player no matter how far away you are from its view, as you are ALWAYS in its view!

Example of a texture that can be used as a skybox.

Moreover, this is sadly not possible in the game itself, but it is possible with the usage of mods as Optifine, or better yet, Sodium, allow the player to integrate a custom skybox with the usage of resource packs. From what I've read from this suggestion, Eric suggests that SchoolRP adds a custom skybox into their resource pack for better immersion into the Japanese vibes of our beloved Karakura.

I know some people may not like the appeal of the skybox, but they also want to enjoy the optimization which Optifine and Sodium give. In the options of both those mods, you can easily disable skyboxes with one click of a button.

Now I do not know exactly how to make a custom skybox, but with a few Google searches I've found out that most people make custom skyboxes for Minecraft with Blender, which makes it possible to make a render (skybox image) of the said mountain while still keeping the Vanilla Minecraft vibe of the server.

The build team could for example build a part of the Fuji mountain, send it over to someone who knows how Blender and Mineways works, import the model of the mountain into Blender, render the image as a skybox and import it into the resource pack!

TL;DR
Skyboxes dont have a render distance,
You need mods which most people use to make them work,
Someone with some knowledge of Blender can easily make a good skybox for Karakura,

Still dont understand what a skybox is?
