Out-Of-Character Information

What is your Minecraft username?:

Nookski

Do you have Discord (If so, what is your discord username?):
Yes! My user is nookiski

How old are you? (Optional):
N/A

What is your time zone?:
EST/EDT

Describe your activity on the server:
I’m a very active member of the Roleplay Hub community, which means I’m extremely active in SRP! At the moment, I am a member of the gang 9stars as well as harassing jocks on another character. In the future, I would like to try out for a team as well since I miss jockrp so much. Additionally, I am a very active Tailor OOCly. However, since I'm still a student OOC and have a job, I would rate my activity at about a 9.Screenshot 2025-05-27 013257.png

Do you acknowledge that if you are inactive you will be demoted?:
Yes, I understand that inactivity will result in being demoted.

School Employee Role you are applying for?:
Tutor.

In as much detail as possible, describe the employee role you are applying for:
As a tutor, you aim to provide academic support to students in any specific area by providing clear, engaging instructions. By assessing each student's strengths, weaknesses, and learning styles, you can create a learning plan that promotes deeper understanding and increases academic performance. As well as creating a supportive and encouraging learning environment, tutors should strive to empower students to become independent learners. With that being said, helping students reach their full potential is the main responsibility of tutors.

What experience, in general, do you have in roleplay?:
In general, I’m sorta a nerd. Starting as a kid, I was one of those kids you would find on Bloxburg, Royale High, Roblox High School, etc. (No diss, I was just on Royale High the other day!!) This is what made me eventually branch out to SRP as I got older. Once I joined SRP, I made new friends, developed crazy lore and character plots, and more. During my time on SRP, I have been in several gangs, the most famous (infamous..) one being Black Dragons, where I eventually became the lead. I’ve been on both HS and College female football for several months, leading up to a year or 2 if you combine my time on both teams. Adding onto that, several of my friends are HUGE DND fans (shout out goobical), and even though I admire it.. I can’t wrap my head around it. Besides the point! I feel like I’ve done a decent amount on this server, yet I’ve never been in a faction.

Why do you want to join the School Employee faction?:
I’ve always considered applying to several factions, however, the school faction is always one that lingers in the back of my mind. I’ve been planning to apply to be a school employee for months, not only did it seem fun, but 99% of the gameplay is in the school. In general, I’ve always wanted to apply to be a school employee, yet I was unsure what to apply for. But, when my friend recently applied and got accepted as a teacher, he convinced me to become a tutor due to their similarities.

All of my previous applications are simply languages, I don't wanna flood this by putting all of them so I put the one relevant to this character.

Situations

/*Do not mention use of FearRP*/

During a work-shift a student starts cursing at you for being pathetic, how does your character react?:

Alani has always been a relatively calm person, but as she matured, she learned how to easily keep her composure. If a student started cursing at her and calling her pathetic, her first instinct wouldn’t be to snap back. Taking a deep breath as she kept her tone steady, she would tell the student that their behavior wasn’t appropriate. However, she understands that they might be frustrated. She would allow them to take a deep breath and calm down, then she would allow the student to either take a break or speak to someone. If their behavior continued, she would try to talk to the student herself, seeing if there was anything she could personally do to calm them down.

You notice two students are physically fighting in the hallway, – multiple punches have been thrown – how does your character react?:

Due to previously being on the football team for months, a few punches aren’t gonna scare Alani. Being used to high-pressure situations, the moment she saw the fight break out, she quickly radioed for help, making sure she wasn’t completely alone before running up. Alani would then step in confidently, positioning herself between the two students. She tries her best to stay stern yet calm, aiming to de-escalate the situation without escalating emotions any further. Once the situation is under control or help arrives, she’ll hand out detentions as needed and escort the students to the nurse if anyone is injured.

Another school employee is clearly acting inappropriately, doing something very dangerous on the job, how does your character react?:

Although she is a firm believer in correcting people in private, she drew the line when someone’s actions put others in harm’s way. If Alani saw a co-worker doing something dangerous on the job, she wouldn’t hesitate to intervene. She would quickly step in, pulling them aside to avoid public embarrassment, asking them what they’re doing and if they’re okay. She would then explain how dangerous their actions were and why it’s not acceptable to be acting that way on the job. With that, she would see how they could work together and how she could help to avoid that happening again.

When in the employee break room, how does your character act?

In the break room, Alani is pretty relaxed and respectful. She’s not overly loud, but she’s definitely approachable. If there’s already a conversation going, she’ll join in with a friendly comment or two, especially if it’s something she’s interested in. However, she also respects when others just want a moment to themselves. When not conversing, Alani uses her break time to recharge. Even when she’s tired, she makes an effort to stay polite and professional.

Provide us with at least three detailed /me's of your character whilst on your chosen role:

/me walked into the break room, a collection of books and notepads in hand. Alani would make her way through the room, greeting and making small talk with some co-workers as she passed. Once she found a secluded table, she sat down, put her AirPods in, and locked in. Pulling a notepad out of the stack, she would begin to study each student’s strengths and weaknesses. Keloha would then take this new knowledge along with the material from the class and build a study plan that fits their learning style and goals.

/it As Keloha walked through the halls, she spotted a student she knew who struggled a bit. She would make her way towards them, pulling them to the side. “Hey! How are you? I just wanted to check in on how you’re doing.” The woman spoke softly, her typical smile resting on her face. She would listen to the student’s response, nodding along intently. Once they finished, she gently patted their shoulder. “Remember, if you ever need help, School stuff or not. I’m here, okay?” Her smile still lingered as she let the student walk off.

/me walked into the classroom silently, pushing the door open just enough to slip inside without drawing too much attention. Her steps were light as she tried her best to avoid making any noise that might interrupt the lesson. Catching the teacher’s eye, Keloha offered a soft, friendly smile and offered them a small wave. She didn’t want to distract from what was happening, so without a word, she made her way to an empty seat near the side of the room. As she sat down, she adjusted herself to pay attention to the lesson, sitting on standby in case either the teacher or any student needed help.

In-Character Section

(Pretend your character is filling this out, not you)

Alani walked into the room, bowing her head before she held out her hand for a handshake. “Hello! Nice to meet you! How are you?”

The interviewer took her hand, firmly shaking it with a smile. “Nice to meet you, too. I'm great, thanks for asking! Shall we get started?”

Alani nodded, smiling as she took a seat.

Full Name (First & Last only): “What is your first and last name?”
Alani sat up straight, adjusting in her seat as she began. "My name is Alani Keloha!"

Title (Mr, Mrs, Miss): “What would you prefer to be addressed as?”
The woman's smile remained plastered on her face as she continued. "I’d like the students to feel like I’m someone they can come to and be close with. So in all honesty, I don’t mind if they call me Alani; however, in more formal situations, Miss Keloha works too."

Preferred Name: “What is your preferred name?”
"Alani could do! I don’t mind Lani either."

Age (Minimum is 25): “How old are you?”
Alani looked around nervously, her smile faltering. “Do I look that old already?” She let out a hesitant laugh.. “Just kidding…! I’m 25!”

Gender: “What is your gender?”
"I’m female!"

Academic Degree: What are your academic degrees?
Major(s): I majored in Education!
Minors: I also got a degree in Psychology!

Nationality: Where are you from?
Alani paused, taking a moment to take a deep breath in. "Hawaii!" She answered quickly before she felt the need to add on. "My family and I came to Karakura while I was in college.. I came to play for the football team while my sister was off doing her own thing."

Known Languages: Hawaii is a beautiful place. Does this mean you speak any other languages?
Alani nodded. "Yes! I am fluent in Hawaiian, I know a tiny bit of Spanish, and of course, Japanese."

Alani had always been a stubborn girl, strong-willed and relentlessly determined to get what she wanted. Growing up as a kid, she never cared much for school. While other kids were stressing about their grades, she was primarily focused on her love for football. She grew up without any complaint. Her family wasn’t exactly rich, but she lived a pretty comfortable life. A Nice house, supportive parents, and a lot more opportunities than most. But things started to boil over the day her best friend decided to move to Karakura in pursuit of a sports career. The thought of being left behind drove her insane. The idea of her best friend being out in the world, chasing their dreams, while she was stuck in one place? This couldn’t happen; she wouldn’t allow it. Alani was always handed what she wanted, and she wanted out. Her parents, on the other hand, weren’t for it. The thought of their daughter leaving not just the house, but the entire country, just irked them. It didn’t matter how much she explained how much it meant to her. It didn’t matter how much she pleaded. The answer was always no. Their refusal sparked the beginning of Alani’s slow-burning resentment. What started as disappointment grew into frustration and anger. For years she fought, late night arguments, screaming matches, break downs. Alani pushed and pushed until there wasn’t anything to push anymore. Her parents finally agreed to let her leave under one condition. “If you go,” Father Keloha said with his typical patronizing smile. “You have to bring your little sister, Leylani, with you.” Alani was LIVID. After every little fight she had, after everything she had done. Leylani just got to tag along for free. Still, Alani’s pride was too big to say no. Begrudgingly, she packed up her things and took her sister. Finally free from her family… to a degree! However, once they got to Karakura, the resentment lingered. Alani tried to focus on herself, but she couldn’t help but get angry every time she remembered her sister. Of course, if you ask her now, she’d agree it wasn’t fair to either of them. But when is life ever fair? Over time, things only got worse. Lani grew cold, became more distant, her words sharpened, and her patience thinned. Her sister, who felt completely alone, acted out of desperation and called their father. That was how, one day, without any warning, their father showed up at the dorms. No one understood what was happening, not even Alani. She didn’t know her sister had snitched, but either way, it didn’t matter. Because just like that, she was back on the next flight home, Leylani being left to pursue what should’ve been her life in Karakura. Years passed, and Alani grew as a person. Time gratefully humbled her. She began to reflect on everything, and she started to heal. Now at 25, she’s back in Karakura. Smarter, calmer, and quieter, to a degree. And with that, she just so happened to walk into this very interview. Her heart was pounding, and the same bright smile as the first day she got here. She’s back, but this time, it’s for something different.

Motivation for Joining KHS (Character perspective): What is your motivation for joining KHS?

"Well.." The woman paused, trying to find the right words. "To put it simply, I went to school here! Karakura shaped a huge part of who I am today. When I first came here, I was simply chasing after a dream. I didn’t have my life all figured out then. I was pretty lost when it came to ANYTHING that wasn’t football. My entire life revolved around my team, and I thought that was all I’d ever be. But this school gave me more than just a sport; it gave me a lot more than I realized, honestly. Even if I didn’t realize it as a kid, the people here helped shape me into who I am today. And with that being said, I want someone else to have the same experience. I want kids to be excited to come to school, to be enthusiastic about what that day has to offer. And if I’m able to provide that for them, I will. I’m ready to pour everything I’ve learned into this place and contribute in the best way possible.

Why should you be accepted over the other applicants?:
Alani jumped into this question without ANY hesitation. She knew exactly what to say because, well.. she was speaking from the heart! "I believe I should be accepted over applicants because I know the people. I’ve lived this experience firsthand. I was a student here. I know what it’s like to be one of them. I’ve played on their teams, studied beside them, made some mistakes and learned from them too. Some of these people weren’t just students, they were my roommates, teammates, and friends. That kind of bond? You can’t fake it, and even with the most experienced people, it can’t be replicated. Now, I know there may be applicants with more experience on paper, and I respect that. But what I bring is something deeper: a real connection with this place and the people in it. I’ve been on both sides, struggling as a kid, and now, growing into someone who wants to guide others. I’m not pretending that I have all the answers; I’m here because I want to keep learning. I’m open to improving into the best version of myself."
