He was growing at a normal rate, heart rate normal, everything about was normal until his parents started to notice over the course of time, that their so-called normal boy, is not very normal. Toyo started to grow at an abnormal rate, being almost 3’6 at the age of 2. He was then taken to the hospital where he was then diagnosed with Gigantism. Throughout Toyo’s life, he was always 2 feet taller than his average pupils, which resulted in him being bullied.

Character’s Backstory
On September 21, 2000, a small boy by the name of Toyo Suzuki was born in the small town of Cassino, Italy to the parents of Evelina Suzuki and Roberto Suzuki. When Toyo was born, he was a normal healthy baby. He had no complications and no issues. He was a happy baby boy. Over time, his parents had begun to notice that Toyo was growing at an abnormal rate. When he was about 3 years old, he was already 4’2. His mother and father had begun to worry and they brought him to a nearby doctor. The doctor had then diagnosed Toyo with Gigantism. This complication would then change Toyo’s life forever for the good and bad. Toyo’s parents were often abusive to him. He was always given most of the tasks to do throughout the day. If it was not done right, his parents would both beat the child almost to death, leaving him very weak for a few hours. They were also very judgemental to Toyo. They would often whisper into his ear saying “Why did God have to give us a mistake?” or “You will always be hated by others.” This tore Toyo apart, hearing his own parents telling him these things and beating him constantly made Toyo just want to die. There were multiple occurrences where Toyo hurt himself, cutting him in various places on his body.
Toyo’s school life was not very pleasant. His parents were able to afford a decent education for Toyo, but the other children in his school were the issue. He was constantly bullied for being bigger than everyone else. When Toyo had entered his freshman year in college he was already 6’7’. Many of the children called him the “Jolly-Green Giant”. Lunches were usually thrown at him and would stuff him in his locker. This greatly troubled Toyo in his learning and caused him to get behind in his studies. This caused his parents to hate him even more than they already did, and the beatings were increased.
A traumatic event then happened in Toyo’s life that would make Toyo’s life somewhat less burdensome. One day, when Toyo had arrived home from school. He noticed something about his house. The window, which was to the left of the front door, had been completely shattered. Toyo entered the house. He was mortified from what his eyes had seen. Both of his parents, stab wounds all over their bodies, were laying on the floor motionless. Toyo stared down at his dead parents, as the blood was pouring out of their bodies. Toyo would then run upstairs, into his room, grabbing his duffle bag, and would then start packing his clothes and personal belongings. He would then rush to the front door, then stop looking back at the house he had lived his awful life. He would then spit onto the floor and would then run out of the house.
For the rest of Toyo’s life, he then would apply for many jobs, earning the minimum amount of money he needed. After two months of working constantly, Toyo then went to a self-defense class and began learning the many different skills he needed to defend and fight against people. Toyo had done this class for about 9 years and had learned all the offensive and defensive moves he needed to not end up like his parents. Toyo had then taken the rest of his money and bought a plane ticket to Karakura, Japan. Toyo wanted to have a fresh start in life and wanted to earn a better education than what he had before. Before Toyo had moved to Karakura, he took the name Suzuki out of his name because he did not see his original parents as his family at all. After being in Karakura for some time, he had made many friends and even found love with a girl named Mila. Toyo had then found a family known as the Akamine family, he then grew close to them and eventually joined their family, and even before that he had joined a family known as Cortez. He then changed his name from Toyo Suzuki to Toyo C. Akamine.
