Why are Teachers so important to SchoolRP?:
First and Foremost, without teachers on the server, the school simply wouldn't be able to run. They are one of the more crucial roles on SchoolRP which is why I think it is so important we have more of them!
Teachers host classes for all the highschool students to attend and learn. They provide the necesarry preperation for the highschool students to attend the exams and move up into college.
They provide a multitude of interactions, giving newer players a good chance to learn how interacting and roleplaying works in an envioriment where it is still okay to make mistakes. They are surrounded by more experienced roleplayers who can guide them.
Teachers provide guidance for students who seek other interactions. they can help students find their way to councilors, the nurses, etc.
Teachers are also there to come between any conflict between students, punishing when necessary and helping students understand why certain actions are bad.
Personally, being a teacher also seems like such a great oppurtunity to get a lot of new interactions in and help newer players to find their place in SchoolRP while also providing something fun for the experienced players.
Do you acknowledge that if you are inactive you may lose your role?: Yes
Do you agree to undergo teacher training if your application is successful?: Yes

What's your character's full name?: Gabriel Ramirez
What is your character's nationality?: Spanish
What is your preferred subject to teach?: Physical Education
Describe your character:
Gabriel is a 40-year old tan-skinned male with a height of 6'5 (or 195cm) and weighs 102 kilos. Despite his size and build, he's more muscular than one might think. He has dark brown eyes with faint eyebags permanently visible underneath. Gabriel has thick eyebrows, a long, wide nose and thin lips surrounded by a well kept goatee. His chestnut brown hair is combed back to keep it out of his face. It's nothing fancy, but he likes it enough to have worn it that way for a while now.
Clothing wise, Gabriel dresses more for practicallity rather than looks. He'll usually wear his grey sweatpants, paired with black turtle neck. Overtop, he'll always wear a drawstring hoodie. You'd never catch him without one on. He claims it is the easiest and most comfortable piece of clothing known to man. For shoes, Gabriel will usually wear some off-brand sneakers for no other reason than.. they were the cheapest. He'll pair that with a pair of white or black socks. Never grey as they stain the fastest when it comes to sweat.
As for his personality, Gabriel is a very reserved type of guy. He gets along with everyone, he just won't share personal details about himself until he feels he can trust an individual. He actively tries to avoid drama as he feels it 'ruins his flow' and he tends to get very stressed out when the people around him aren't all on good terms with each other. Depsite his reserved nature, when asked, anyone would tell you he's the most fatherly type of guy you've ever met for a guy who doesn't have kids. He's got a very parental type of vibe towards anyone younger than himself, and of course he's got the typical dad jokes that many love, and even more despise.
When asked about his future, Gabriel is always very vague to hide the fact that he doesn't actually have any big plans laid out for himself. He's not the type of guy to set big goals or put himself under a lot of pressure when he doesn't need to. He'd reply with "Life is too short and stressful to be worrying about things you have no control over yet. Worry about today first"

A bit of backstory:
Gabriel grew up in a low-income family in Salamanca with a doting mother, hardworking father and 2 siblings one older brother and a younger sister. Despite their lack of wealth, his parents made sure their kids wouldn't have to worry about having food on the table, clothes, school supplies etc. by both working two jobs. During his childhood years, gabriel was a bit of a troubled kid, often getting into fights when other kids would bully his little sister. After recieving calls from the school time and time again about his ill behavior, his mother grew concerned and sought councilling for Gabriel to help him work through his behavioral issues towards his peers. As a teenager, Gabriel, or 'Gabe' as his friends called him at the time, would often go to the gym, spending his only allowance on a membership. At this point in his life, he had already decided to join the military when he was old enough, and figured that was the best way to physically prepare for it. He unconsiously dropped most of his friendships because of this, focusing purely on bettering himself mentally and physically.
As soon as gabriel turned 18, he left home and joined the general military academy, and after two years joined the MIllitary where he ended up serving for 13 years. His service started as a way to support his family financially, but after the first couple of years, he grew fond of the job and the fulfillment it gave him, so he decided to stick around to make something of himself while also continueing to send part of his paychecks to his parents. He had managed to climb from a private all the way up to a sergeant. He was well aware that he wouldn't serve in the military forever, so he figured that he'd maybe try to go for fitness coach or something similar as a job later in life since he quite enjoyed helping people stay mentally and physically fit. Gabriel resigned from his millitary position at age 33 when he received the news his father had passed, as he felt that he needed to come back home to emotionally support his mother these hard times.
By this point, he had helped his family slowly but surely to climb out of poverty. When he returned home both of his siblings had already settled down on their own. Gabriel was able to fly himself and his mother out to japan for a change of scenery by his mother's request. She and his father had always wanted to move to Japan as it was a dream location of theirs, but always pushed it back with the excuse that it wasn't the right time, or too expensive. His mother moved to Kyoto, where Gabriel stayed for a couple of years, just until he was sure that his mother would be alright to live on her own again and meanwhile took on studies to become a highschool PE teacher. These classes went swimmingly for him considering his millitary training was a lot more intensive than these classs were. He then moved to Karakura. During his time in Karakura, he had very few relationships, tho one person stuck out to him. Someone who he was briefly in a romantic relationship with as well. They split up after only a few months, remaining friendly afterwards. His now ex-partner, being aware of his previous studies to become a teacher, had recommended he applied to work at the Karakura highschool as she had previously worked there herself and had described it as a stable and fulfilling job.
What is your character's outlook on students and co-workers?:
With students Gabriel is a very fatherly type of figure while also trying to come across as a professional educator. Though he's always thought of PE as that one class with the 'chill' teacher, so he also tries to embody that. He'll always stand in front of his class with a smile and treat every student equally, as all teachers should. Even with troubled students, Gabriel tries his best to be a patient and encouraging role model. If needed, he'll take them aside to offer them a listening ear or just to tell them they're doing a good job. His priority will always be the well-being of his students over their performance, and he feels that that's what makes him fit for the job. Outside of his subject, he would happily offer to redirect any struggling student to a councillor or tutor should the need arise.
Gabriel views his coworkers almost as a second family when he gets to know them well enough. He'll definetely call them by their first name if they allow him to and won't shy away from giving a shoulderpat or even a hug if he's in a good mood. He's a very helpful kind of person to the ones he really gets along with and will offer to help with almost anything, ranging from making some copies to helping them move. He'll ask his coworkers how their weekend was, how that family event went, how the kids are.. you get the point.
What is your character's motivation for teaching?:
Having been a sergeant during his years in the millitary, Gabriel felt very fulfilled being able to guide and teach the recruits, so naturally he longed to have a job that was similar in nature. Along with that, Gabriel still had a wish of having kids one day, but with no current relationship he figured it was most likely not going to happen, therefore he settled for the closest thing to raising kids, teaching them. He gets a sense of pride seeing thos under his mentorship excel and progress. He feels accomplished when he's helping people and teaching them something new or helping them further develop an already growing skill. He hopes to convey how proud he is of their journey to encourage them toward a fulfilling life.

A student in class is struggling to understand the content, what would your character do?:
Gabriel turned his attention to the student after hearing they aren't quite sure how to tackle the game they'll be playing today. "Ah so I assume you haven't played before then? Let me show you, it's very easy", Gabriel would motion for the student to follow him as he walked them over to an empty volleyball field. "Alright so, as you can see, the field is divided into two parts. Each player will stand on their own side of the field, it doesn't really matter which side you pick. But for now, follow me to the right side over here so I can show you how it's done." He spoke softly and smiled as he stepped onto the field and grabbed the ball. "So, here's the ball, obviously. Your goal in this game is to get the ball to hit the floor in your opponent's part of the field. To do so, you're going to hit the ball over the net that you see here in the middle.." He'd point to the net. "And avoid hitting the ball outside the lines that border the field." He'd then point out all the lines, checking to make sure the student was still following along. "The ball cannot touch the floor of your field. If the ball does hit the ground, your opponent wins a point." He took a moment to think if he missed anything. "Oh, and you have to get the ball over the net in three moves or less.. Though that rule is.. More for the offical games. This is just PE class so.. Have fun with it.", he'd say, followed by a chuckle. "Alright I think that's everything.. How about we do a practive round? You versus me."
A student is continuously being disruptive in class, talking out of turn, and making jokes with classmates. What would your character do?:
First warning:
Gabriel would turn his attention to the disrupting student and cleared his throat. "I'm sure that just like everyone else here, you're aware of the class rules. I suggest you follow them, alright? Alright. Now quiet down and let's continue.." He'd turn back to what he was doing before, but made sure to keep a watchful eye on the troublemaker.
Second warning:
Taking a deep breath, Gabriel spoke again, this time his voice a little more commanding. "I've already asked you to stop disrupting the lesson. This is your last warning before being kicked out of my class. So let's make this easy for both of us and turn our attention to the subject of the day, okay?"
Action:
Pinching the bridge of his nose, he'd let out a tired sigh. "Alright that's it. You're out of my class. Take this as a lesson to not be so disruptive next time.." He sent the student on their way before returning his gaze to the class. "Where was I?"
Provide at least 2 interactive class ideas related to your preferred subject:
1: school gym
Gabriel would bring the class to the school gym. Before the class starts he would encourage the students to stretch with him, asking if any of the students know any goosd stretches to follow along with. after doing about two to three different stretches, he'd allow them to move on to using the various equipment available. He would go over all the different equipment with the students, explaining how each one of them worked and what part of the body it trained. To keep it interactive he would suggest for students to pair up, counting each others reps and maybe even turn it into a little competition to see who can do more.
OOCLY i would research all the equipment the school gym has to make sure I have the knowledge about how to use all of them.
2: 123 piano
This is a game I used to play as a kid in PE class. One student is assigned to be the 'pianist' and goes to stand against a wall with their back turned to the rest of the group. The other students all line up next to each other at a distance away from the pianist and said wall. The pianist then yells "123 piano" during which, the other students move towards the wall without sprinting. after the pianist yells "123 piano" they turn around. When they do, no one is allowed to move. If the pianist catches you moving, you are sent back to the start. This goes on until someone reaches the wall. They then become the pianist for the next round, and so on.
