Describe your activity on the server:
I am a part of Shrine Faction, so most of my activity revolves around that or playing with my other characters from time to time. On a good month I am guaranteed to log on at least once a day though more at the later times of the CST time-zone. Otherwise if I’m on a more busy schedule one week I would only log on 2-3 times a week. But I try not to be. I would give my activity a solid 6 on busier months, and a 9 on months I’m not often busy. On Tuesdays and Wednesdays I tend to not be available unless informed of something important otherwise. I try to solidly keep up with the activities that I do such as Fashion Club, Photography Club, and Shrine Faction. I think I do good for the most part, I mean I haven’t got fired yet. The times I'm online vary, during school hours I'm usually on my Club-Lead character, College character, or Highschool characters. I usually dedicate an hour a day, sometimes more to my Shrine character, this is done like 3 times a week unless its a good month, then 4-5 times a week, mostly when its not school in-game. But overall, I log on everyday or nearly.

What experiences do you have with roleplay?:
I started SRP 5/19/23 but I’ve been roleplaying for far longer than that. I used to roleplay on various Roblox servers and the Lifeboat bedrock server back in like 2018-2022. I joined my first SRP family not even a week after I joined SRP in 2023. I was accepted into the shrine 5/17/24 and accepted into clubs 6/25/24. Since then I think my roleplay experiences have broadened. I do have experience with all sorts of roleplay, various leader-ship roleplays, work roleplay, criminal roleplay, family roleplay, and romance roleplay. In general I do prefer work roleplay or student-life roleplay, just basically being able to detail-rp at all is peak which is one of the biggest reasons why I'm in Shrine Faction and wanting to apply for EMS faction. I do love writing too, so it's something I like practicing from time to time, whether its writing short stories or biographies for my characters. Club roleplay is one of the things I enjoy as well, both as Club-Lead and as a member.
What is your motivation for applying?
For about a year now I have been wanting to join EMS. Though I wasn’t sure whether to apply to become a doctor or psychiatrist. I also wasn’t too confident in my abilities of roleplay to even want to apply. But lately I have been wanting to broaden my SRP horizons and further develop myself into the community. I thought my best bet to succeed in such ways was to apply to become a psychiatrist, despite doctors being just as tempting to apply for. I also yearned for more roleplay scenarios to drag myself in whilst I wasn’t actively roleplay being a super cool Priest and a frequently bullied Club-Leader.
I also think it's worth mentioning I’m going to school to become a Firefighter Paramedic, I thought this would be one of the coolest ways to spread the knowledge I learn into the community and also a better way for me to absorb information whenever I’m not studying and just use the if I get accepted factor in learning more not only about SRP but the Medical Industry as a whole as I understand EMS maintains most accuracy as you can get in Minecraft. So I am hoping if I get accepted to really sweat my way up to becoming a Paramedic eventually.
As mentioned earlier, one of my biggest reasons I'm applying is for the Detail-RP aspect of it. I enjoy it a lot and from my understanding this faction has a LOT of that included.
Another reason though not as important as the others is that my characters are often unintentionally good at listening to people and offering feedback, advice, and emotional support. I most of the time joke they'd make good the******s, look where I am now! Also apps opened up and OOC was saying to apply for EMS so I just took the opportunity.
Which role are you applying for?
(Doctor or Psychiatrist)
Psychiatrist
What knowledge do you have of the roles within the Hospital Faction?
(This is to gauge at your current understanding of the faction prior to acceptance)
A Paramedic is a person trained to give emergency medical care to people who are injured or ill, typically in an emergency response situation outside of the hospital. Paramedic is a higher ranking of an EMT the rankings of EMT go EMR, EMT, AEMT, and Paramedic. Each has their own levels of training, a Paramedic can do everything a NREMR can do but an NREMR can’t do much of anything a Paramedic does. They are the most qualified and highest ranking of the group. They can perform AEMT skills plus: Needle thoracostomy, Cricothyromotomy, Intubation, PEEP, ECG interpretation, Manual defibrillation, Trans. ext pacing, High flow nasal cannula, administer extensive medication. So, in this case a Paramedic Trainee would be merely someone in advanced training to become a Paramedic. The Duty and Chief are higher ranking individuals with longer experience within the field both medically and in a leadership role, being responsible for overseeing daily operations. I could go on and on about EMT's and Paramedics but would rather not leave the Doctor and Psychiatrist bits too short,

Doctors diagnose illnesses, treat injuries, and oversee general patient wellness with check-ups. This includes ordering tests, prescribing medicine and performing procedures.
They often provide ongoing care and work hand and hand with other healthcare professionals. Some even have specialties in specific areas such as cardiology, dermatology, oncology, so on and so forth. The rankings are similar to psychiatrists. A Doctor Trainee works under the supervision of a higher-up as they are more of an intern, a qualified medical school graduate. A resident doctor is a fully licensed doctor who has graduated from medical school. An attending doctor is a fully licensed and board certified doctor who has fully completed their residency and is in charge of supervision.

Doctor Trainee
There are many specialists in Psychiatry but a psychiatrist is a medical doctor specializing in mental health, they also diagnose, treat, and prevent many emotional and behavioral disorders with medication and therapy alike. The roles simply below are like ranks. A Psychiatrist Trainee is someone going through Psychiatric training to eventually become a resident. This is usually received from what I know out of SRP by a licensed medical doctor completing a 4-year specialized training program after school. This will simply be working under supervision. They can create personalized treatment plans and recommend treatments for both physical and mental health atmospheres.

Do you acknowledge that if training is held whilst you are online, you are expected to attend or you will be punished?
Yes I acknowledge and accept this fact.

Character Backstory (Optional):
Monroe Calvert born in San Antonio, Texas. He is the sibling to one other younger brother. He grew up in the country-side and often thought all he would make of his life was being a farmer. He enjoyed it to certain extents, caring for animals, just tending to them warmed his otherwise stubborn heart. He was great with them, some may have even called him a animal whisperer. His favorite being the horses and cows, he viewed them as himself, a gentle giant. He'd often spend days in the club house he and his brother built themselves, often taught to work for what the got. He was homeschooled most of his life until Highschool, coming into a chaotic environment like that was uncalled for, but everyday for the past 14 years he was in a chaotic environment. But he treated such as just another challenge in his life, another sheep he had to herd despite the fact he didn't do much herding as his border collie Cowboy, gloriously stole from him. During this time of deeper knowledge he learned more about the world outside of farm life. He drew an interest in Psychology and Biology not far after. This was due to the many times he missed school for sleeping in, solely from being too tired from working. He'd be given detention to where the teachers would assign completely unrelated class topics to different students, whether they were actively studying it or not. Many of these topics Monroe had gotten used to receiving where about Biology and or Psychology. In many aspects he had already taken a liking to Biology, but Psychology was something new to him, something, spectacular. He knew very well Psychology with animals, just from working on the farm, he always had to watch closely how the horses would behave. But this, this was different, this was challenging, interesting, it had caught his interest rather quickly. And soon enough, he had started studying just that. This has led him to where he is today in his structured yet still somehow chaotic life. As he got older, studied more, graduated school, completed his degrees, he yearned for a different atmosphere, so eventually, as he turned 50 he moved to Japan where he'd have the opportunity to broaden his horizons, in not only Japan's culture but the medical field as well.
SECTION 2: MEDICAL HISTORY
What is your character’s medical speciality? Why did they choose this focus?
(Ensure this is appropriate to the position you have chosen. Some examples can be found here)
Main Speciality: Forensic Psychiatry
Secondary areas: General Adult Psychiatry, Consultation-Liaison
Does your character have any work experience in medical positions?
Yes. Monroe has over 20 years of experience as a practicing psychiatrist, including hospital work, private practice, and forensic evaluations. Before entering medical school, he also worked as a basic EMT, gaining hands-on experience in emergency response, patient stabilization, and crisis situations. He spent roughly half of his life in America as a psychiatrist before relocating for the greater good to work in Japan, eventually moving to Karakura to continue his work. This was to broaden his horizons with bigger opportunities and to further challenge himself. This did perceive to be a challenge as before he officially moved to Japan he was to learn Japanese first, he eventually ended succeeding but still has many problems with pronunciation. He was well-loved at his previous job in Texas and even Japan, he was like a father-figure to most and even a teacher to the newest Psychiatrists. Once he officially moved to Japan he spent 5 years in Kyoto he wanted somewhere different, quieter, but just as challenging. Somewhere where he could officially called home, so he chose Karakura.
SECTION 3: CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE
Describe your character; how do they look, what makes them unique? How would they be perceived by others?
Monroe is an older man, light blue eyes, and graying dark-brown hair. Perceived by others he can be intimidating due to his overall bluntness. He is a huge father figure, to children, adults, people that aren’t even related to him. He’s a man of slight mystery, never one to talk about his past, just the present. In some ways he can be stubborn but he gets along with people rather easily, he’s more of a laidback individual. A heartfelt person despite not looking like it. Monroe can also be protective of his family, friends, and colleagues, he’s a professional at being passive-aggressive due to such. His Japanese is iffy, often his words are stained with a Texan accent. He doesn’t bother for looks, but he is more of a classical guy, he always opts for comfort over style, unless it's to be respectful that is. He has confidence rooted in his experience with a strong, adaptable mindset. Monroe is a people pleaser and due to the fact he doesn’t care much to separate his job from his day to day life he can be a lot when it comes to talking to someone, always unintentionally giving them therapy, life-advice or even accidentally diagnosing someone in the process. He’s gotten better though, with lots of scolding from his closest peers and higher-ups.
How does your character act around the hospital?
He’s always watching, ensuring everything is going according to hospital standards. He can be a bit much, always putting work ahead of his social life. Though he makes designated days to take breaks, relax, and tend to his own mental health. If he is not actively working he’s actively ensuring others don’t need assistance in any way, he appears calm, but in reality his mind is always moving. He has a habit of keeping himself busy in any way, shape, or form. Despite being serious about his work he doesn’t often push to separate work life with his day to day unless it comes to patient confidentiality. When it’s his co-workers he views them as family, something to protect and support in any way possible. He enjoys teaching people and offering help to others whilst also pushing the fact they learn it on their own as well. Monroe is an expert at keeping calm under pressure, he also encourages others to do the same and often won’t hesitate to step in just in case. Monroe can also appear a bit apathetic but he doesn’t mean to, if he’s called out on it he switches it quickly, it’s just something he doesn’t really notice as he tries to keep his neutrality when dealing with patients. This means he tries not to overreact by not appearing too concerned or sad. But this is a rare instance that occurs, and mostly right after a session.
Does your character function better on their own or with others?
Both. As long as he is getting work done he doesn’t really care. He’s a people pleaser though so it won’t affect him too much. Much of his qualities is duality when approaching any atmosphere. Due to his pleasing nature he does tend to ensure everyone is comfortable in the situation. Whether it's patients or his colleagues. He respects and understands someone's perspective, even when he doesn’t likely agree with it. He is likely just too old to care.W6XvNsSp6r0WX-3p09Hl5RC0nkFCuIy8Fte4MjH0xFB5IKDn11k5gp9-gvZaxNbJ3Ys3KCV-pncN83RSZUrTUmHFv0tGgzQcO3_OmSBF_dOL0dx8zwvVTVd0GKikM-eDU3k6FfqaCnuSbj6dy5s97MfTjyK8w6ts8WDdomMgNjM-JZp46a5TpOeGfWMtAw
