What are your current roles on the server?:
High-School, and almost every animal whitelist. No other special role!!
Why are Teachers so important to SchoolRP?:
Teachers are the backbone of the server, they are the center of roleplay opportunities. The world of SRP is very vast now, with lots of different roles you can fill and apply for, but teachers and classes have always been a main point of the server, even back when it was Yandere High School. It is called "SchoolRP" for a reason. The classes have only improved throughout the server's lifespan and have become more and more dynamic and interactive. Everyone starts as a student, every new person does, and teachers are the first impression. Without teachers, the server would likely be a bit more unruly in the school factor. They are a completely necessary part of the server, the entire school employee faction is an entirely necessary and vital role within the server. Without teachers, the school part of the server would be a lot less fun and interactive for players, new players would likely not interact much or play anymore leading to a dead server. They contribute heavily to the interaction and impression of new players, leading to the servers vitality and are a huge reason to why the server is still alive today. They continue to keep the server alive and fresh, as well as allowing new players to feel they have someone to interact with upon joining.

Describe your character:

Growing up, Nina was a little bit of a firecracker. She didn't do well with social interaction and was often isolated from her peers. She held a lot of anger in her childhood. Her parents had been quite neglectful, leading her to eventually run away from home. In Karakura, she began to bloom. After years and years of neglect and trauma, she began to realize people aren't so bad. Over time, and it was lots of time, she began to care about those around her. Her real turning point, however, would be a red-haired girl by the name of Miyako Sakai. Upon meeting her friends, Nina learned to want. It made her realize she can be so much more than just an angry, sad, miserable person. She learned to appreciate herself and find things she enjoyed. Psychology, writing, journalism, art, and a few other things come to mind.
She eventually decided she wanted to be a Psychiatrist, but over time in her schooling, she realized that it might be a bit more difficult for her. She's not made to handle something on that scale, at least not right now, so she decided she wanted to try other things. Even considering counseling, or being a tutor, anything to help someone else. Miyako saving her gave her the motivation to save others, and now she plans every day to do for others what was done for her. She wanted to throw herself back into her studies, and prepare for college and her future, finally now that she knew she had one.
Watching her favorite person's success in becoming a part of KPD gave her a new kick of motivation, knowing that they both wanted to make the world a better place. Being a bit of a wishful person, she holds the belief in her heart that Karakura is the perfect place for her. Nina is now a very outgoing and bubbly person, always striving to do her best and look for the best in others. She's a very artistic person who enjoys encouraging creativity, as well as advancing her artistic skills. She's a very determined person who completes things to the fullest.
"Hello, I'm Nina. I'm 170cm with split dyed brunette and blonde hair, matching my light brown eyes. I'm 26 years old, and was born in Hamburg, Germany. I usually carry myself straight, keeping my appearance orderly, I care about presentation in myself and others. I think what makes me unique is my love for the arts, as well as Karakura's history, in school I used to read all the books in the library I could check out. I've always had a knack at telling stories, most of them come from the old newspapers themselves! I'm an extremely artistic person, very into story-telling rooted in reality, I'd love to tell students my stories while they draw. I love the arts, I love to paint and draw. I used to be up late at night in my high-school years drawing away until sunrise! My sisters would always yell at me to get back to bed, we all were a very artistic family. My sisters ended up passing away, but some of my fondest memories with them had been doing our own creative things together. I carry them with me in every piece that I make. I'm very friendly to others in honor of them and my own growth. Those two taught me patience, trust me, you had to have patience if they were your sisters. In my future, I hope to become an amazing and memorable art teacher for my students. I also hope to get married to my girlfriend, Miyako Sakai, once we're both ready. I am excited at the opportunity to teach my students the virtues of art."
What is your character's outlook on students and co-workers?:
Nina used to be full of hate, disliking most people she encountered. She often reacted to other people with distasteful remarks and disrespect. She never wants to be that sort of person again and works hard every day to better herself and her reactions to other people. She took a long time to learn to accept and be accepted by other people, leading her to be a much happier person. She tries her best to hold other people to the standards she holds herself to.
Nina would react with respect concerning her students regardless of location, although she doesn't quite expect them to interact with her much off of school grounds, when they do she is always sure to interact with them positively. When they cause a ruckus in her class, she approaches them firmly and respectfully asking them to stop. She does not allow herself nor her class or other students to get disrespected, however, and will reprimand students with detention slips if she feels she isn't getting to them by speaking. In the halls, she may greet students as she walks by or ask them how they're doing. She wants to be sure students know she is someone they can come to if they feel they need something.
Nina is quite the introvert with her Co-Workers, she prefers to keep to herself for the most part but loves to interact with them regardless. She is huge on small talk and finding out how her work friends' lives are going, how are their kids, their classes, and anything else. She loves to learn about other people, even though she can be a bit quiet with them at first. If she sees her coworkers in public, she may stop and ask them how they're doing if she thinks they're close enough. Nina will always treat other people, regardless of status, with respect. She fully expects others to do the same and has high expectations for her students and fellow teachers. She is firm on her boundaries and wants her students to be as well. It takes a lot for her to feel true dislike for another person, Nina is a very forgiving person to both her students and co-workers. Even if a student causes issues for her in class, she expects them to try to be better tomorrow. She will continue to have this mindset regardless of how her students act, she is a believer in many chances.
What is your character's motivation for teaching?:
Nina always had issues with attending classes, but she'll never forget when a teacher truly looked her in the eyes and told her that she'd figure it out. Without that teacher, would she have even met Miyako? Without that encouragement, without that care for her wellbeing, without that motivation. Where would she be? She could be that for so many other students, she could inspire them to create. She's always been an artsy person, and used drawing to express herself and healthily put out her emotions. She could help her students learn to do that, as well. A huge point in Nina has always been the idea of helping other people, the idea of making the world better in such a cruel place, the idea of making someone feel safe at school when home may not be, it's the biggest reward for her.
Nina would like to be a role model for students, she is an artist through and through, and wants to encourage her students to have a passion for it as well. Nina would like to reach as many students as possible with her passion, as well as helping them keep on the right path. Nina has been into art since she was young, and acknowledges teachers as a safe space for some students. She wants her own class to be as safe as she'd felt in others, a place that she knows people can come to and feel safe to learn and express themselves in. She believes it'd be better to approach students on a broad level over one-on-one, though allowing that to be an option if students are in need of extra help after class.
Nina cares very much about the arts, and wants to push for a future where students can become the artists they learn about in history books. She never had someone to teach her the fundamentals, nor the topics she really cared about. She had to teach herself art, and plenty of her other interests came purely from a point of self discovery with not many outside resources. She wants to be encouraging for other students, for them to learn in a much easier way from her. Giving them the chance to learn things in a setting she did not personally have.
"I would like to make a difference in my students lives, I want to teach them the value of art that I hold. If it resonates with them, if it sticks, that's the most important to me. My students make it all worth it, even in the days where I find them... frustrating. I would like to make a safe space for them to come and learn, about Karakura, about art, about the history of the art in our world. That is what life means to me, I want my students to flourish in a world of color that they know they can create themselves. I want to encourage and support the next generation of artists, and show them they can do something great with themselves, regardless of how they use the medium. They can be inspired and inspire, creation is the greatest gift in this life. I want to teach my students how to enjoy creating."

Roleplay Scenarios
A student in class is struggling to understand the content, what would your character do?:
Nina would find a way to set aside anyone having trouble to have a more 1 on 1 experience, with art, a lot of creative liberties can be taken. She would be sure to explain things in a way the student may understand better. Such as asking if they are a visual, tactile, or auditory learner, and basing off how she helps them like that. Nina holds the belief that students can and do learn in different ways, and she truly wants to see them succeed and have fun while doing so. She would do her best to explain things in a way that her students could understand, in any way possible.
Nina would also allow students to come to her after class, during lunch, study, or break time to discuss how they can move forward and improve their grade. She understands students may be embarrassed to reach out during class, so she'd allow anyone to come see her afterwards to discuss how they'd like to move forward, and have proper one on one time without the possible shame of other classmates. Nina knows kids can be mean, and that they can be shy, she'd like to approach these things in a way that makes her students feel safe.
"If you are ever struggling with my lessons, please feel free to find me after class. I am available during school hours to go over things with you and to clarify things in a way you can understand! You can talk to me in class, or after, just please do not interrupt when I'm talking to everyone as a whole!"
A student is continuously being disruptive in class, talking out of turn, and making jokes with classmates. What would your character do?:
Nina would work off of a 3 strike system, you get 3 warnings and you'll be promptly removed from the class. There will be free time when drawing to talk to each-other, to get peer reviews, and to have fun. But you simply can't participate in those fun times if you won't respect her time either, there is a curriculum to follow, and Nina finds completing her tasks as a completely important and necessary thing. Nina doesn't stand for disrespect, she will appreciate all students nonetheless and will ALWAYS offer a space for them, but only if her space is respected. There is a time and a place.
In the case of disruptive students, Nina would give them a stern warning and a few chances to clean up their act. She'd be more understanding, but she would never allow it to be taken as an excuse to disrespect her or her time. She would put her foot down assertively and remove them from her class if they persisted. She wants her students to understand respect, for themselves, authority, and each other, allowing disruptive behavior diminishes that lesson and allows for future disrespect.
Provide at least 2 interactive class ideas related to your preferred subject:
The Basics
------
1. The Elements and Principles of Design.
Students would be asked to draw each element of design, such as Line, Space, Shape and Form, Color, Texture, and Value. As well as make use of the principles of design, unity, variety, balance, emphasis, repetition, and contrast. They will be able to grab any resources they may need and use this exercise as a warmup and introduction to elements.
2. Composition, Brushes, and an introduction to Color Theory.
Students would learn how composition can make or break a piece, how to utilize brush strokes for different stylistic choices, and how color affects the atmosphere of your work. They would be asked to replicate and make use of these all in one piece of their choice.
Fun/Ending Games:
-----
1. Pictionary
Students will be assigned a word and draw it at the chalkboard, similarly to hangman, students would need to guess what the drawing is. This game would be played if there were time at the end of a class. (ooc the student would describe what they're drawing, like /me shakily sketches a circle onto the board, adding onto it different lines and forms. The drawing would hold a silhouette of an animal. This animal would have hooves and a long neck.) (if students struggle with detailrp, or would prefer it this way, the student can describe the drawing in much less detail and the students will raise their hand and /roll 20 to see if they get it right, anything above a 10 is a successful guess.)
2. Draw a Card!
Students will pick a random card and draw whatever is presented to them. (OOCly students will /roll (number of cards) to determine which card they have to draw. Say number 11 is drawing a fantasy castle, and a student does /roll 20 and gets 11, they would then take an assignment book and write a detailed description of their drawing! People who are the most detailed, or have the most effort, may earn stickers for their work. Students may also suggest things to draw for future cards!)
3. Build-A-Doll!
Students will gather supplies from the front of the classroom and do their best to create a paper doll made from these supplies. They can use anything artistic at their disposal, and the only limitation is that of their creativity. Students will then present the dolls near the end of class, showing the quality of the work, including how well it moves and holds together, as well as any special tricks they may have made for their dolls. (/roll 20 to determine the quality of the doll!)
Other:
-----
1. Emphasis on Historical Styles and technique.
Students would be asked to pick a period in Art History and study it, or a historical figure, this can be art movements like Renaissance, Baroque, or Impressionism, focusing on the techniques, materials, and aesthetic principles of those periods or of that artist.
2. Art Style Studying.
Students would be asked to replicate the style that they had studied previously, and attempt to recreate it. It doesn't have to be a perfect 1:1 recreation, nor does it even have to be 'good', what she'd be looking for is the attempt at execution and applying techniques to your work.
3. Mastery of Foundational Skills.
Students would learn essential skills like drawing, painting, sculpting, and general craftsmanship, through step by step instruction. This would be tutorial practice and a much more free class, students could pick between drawing an animal, human, or object and follow a realistic tutorial laid out and written for them. Any students who have trouble can experience a 1 on 1 tutorial for execution purposes, however it will be up to the student to complete as Nina will not hold their hand through the experience.
4. Cultural Context.
Going back into the history of art, we would look into the cultural significance of various art forms. Students would pick a culture and look at the art of said culture, they must include significance of various art forms and how they reflect the values and beliefs of different societies.
5. Student Suggestion.
In this class, Nina will ask students what in specific they'd like to learn. This gives the students more of a chance to be interactive and learn what they want to rather than just the curriculum. It can be anywhere from color theory, to a specific rundown of a culture's artistic values.
6. Student Expression.
Students would be allowed to spend the class time drawing anything appropriate, and finish it before the end of class. At the end, Nina would have them peer review their work amongst each-other. (ooc they'd describe their pieces to one another and provide constructive criticism.)
7. Scenery Replication.
Students would be brought to somewhere within the school, and asked to do live recreation of what's in front of them. This would explore a students own perception of the school and world around them, the idea is that no student would draw it the same, and some details may be more emphasized in one students work than another's. It's a much more personal experience for the students.
8. Prompt-Based Work.
Students will be given a broad topic, and they will be allowed to complete it however they like, using any specific medium they might enjoy. They will be allowed to express the topic in whichever way it speaks to them. For example, they could be given something like 'Create a City from your Imagination' and they could sculpt it, draw it, paint it, or any way that allows them to freely express themselves.
