What's a striker?

A striker is the individual who scores the winning goal. They have a keen eye for where to be and when, they have the talent and skill to be capable of taking advantage and scoring as soon as they notice any weakness or even a single opportunity. It's not only about scoring, but it's also about dominating and destroying your opponents on the field. That's what a striker is.

"How does one become a good striker?"

A good striker is not somebody who scores goals. It's somebody who is the team leader, the center of the field, the one who is dominant. A good striker doesn't score goals, they take them. They gulp them whole. Don't even give the defense a chance to block them. A world-class striker forces the defense to run for cover, makes them tremble in their boots and makes them cry for mercy.

They're a predator and the defense is prey; the field is theirs and they own it
Having an eagle eye on the field is all about having the ability to focus. It's not about tunnel visioning on where the ball is, but watching where your teammates and opponents are. You must be able to spot where the chances are before anyone else. You must be able to spot the weaknesses in the opposing team and be able to exploit them. A good eye is to be able to view the field as a chessboard and direct your pieces appropriately

"How does a striker be a good. leader for their team?"

Entering the flow state is all about being in the zone, so engrossed in the game that you recall nothing but triumph. You're not considering anything else, just focused on the field and the people present. It's about being calm, making instant decisions that your body can execute without your mind even thinking about it. It's about flowing like water, unimpeded and free, but yet forceful. It's about leaving all the rest behind and being there for one purpose only: to win.

When a striker scores a goal, the world around them ceases to exist. It doesn't matter if they have people around them or against whom they scored. All that remains is the goal. The sound of the goal, of the ball from the net, of the stadium in shock or erupting with joy, feeling the ball fly out from under your foot. It's all gone, nothing remains but the flavor of victory. That is what a striker receives when he scores a goal.

Conclusion

To be a good striker isn't just winning, it is being the reason you win. A good striker is the pillar of the team, the one everyone is looking at, the one that everyone relies on to take them to victory. They dominate the pitch with their strength, with their ability. They don't score goals, they devour them. They're the one whom everybody looks at with awe, the one whom everybody talks about, and the one who helps those around them get better.
