Out-Of-Character Information

What is your Minecraft username?:
Neutral_Tones

Do you have Discord (If so, what is your discord username?):
neutral_tones

How old are you? (Optional):
18

What is your time zone?:
GMT

Describe your activity on the server:
Recently I have become quite active again, being online for quite a while when not at college, which comes to be fairly often considering I’m only in for 3 days a week. On average, I’d have to say that I’m online 3-4 hours a day, maybe more if I split the times up into different times throughout the day, though I can confidently say you’re guaranteed to see me for at least a couple hours every day.
I should mention I am much less active on Sundays, as I typically take that day to spend time with my family.

Do you acknowledge that if you are inactive you will be demoted?:
I am fully aware that if I am not active without good reason, I run the chance of losing my role.

School Employee Role you are applying for?:
School Chef

In as much detail as possible, describe the employee role you are applying for:
The role of a school chef is to ensure that students of all ages get a good meal, prepared by these chefs and served according to the dietary preferences of those who don’t bring their own lunch. They must ensure the nutritional standards are met, health and safety, hygiene, etcetera. Their job consists of making sure the students are getting enough, and not just in quantity, but in quality too, so that those kids can grow all big and strong for the futures they have ahead.
A chef must also be a clean individual, washing their hands regularly for example. This also includes cleaning the stations where they work, like the counter they serve at, or the cutting boards and stoves where food can be prepared. And then there’s also health and safety, making sure cupboards are closed, nothing is loose, no door left open, no wet floor without a sign, and definitely no messes that someone could trip over.
While most think that’s where job stops, it isn’t, cooks also have to keep managing stock and inventory, keeping track of what they have and how much of it, so that no student goes hungry, and also so that management will know what to order should something run low.
Finally, school chefs can also take part in events, preparing food and snacks for said events, if it’s required. These can be either simple fundraisers, or big events like Halloween or Christmas.

What experience, in general, do you have in roleplay?:
I've been playing role-playing games for years. began using the Amino app shortly before I became a teenager. I used to participate in and learn from roleplaying communities. In order to write better, I also paid close attention to English literature and language classes; I concentrated mostly on character development and story construction. I started to become more literate as I advanced in roleplay and other story formats, writing starters and longer, more in-depth responses with some thoughtful characters. I think I joined SRP for the first time in 2020 using an older account called LimeIsLoading. After school hit me hard, I abandoned that, nearly forgot about this server, and stopped roleplaying completely.
Playing on my current account, Neutral_Tones, I had resumed my progress. I restarted this server without understanding how it operated. After reading the server's rules, I had a basic understanding of how roleplay operated. In contrast to my experiences in Amino, I was a little slack with my responses and actions in general when I was given the new ability to MOVE in RP. Later on in the server's development, I began purchasing ranks and receiving appendable messages. So I started working on DetailRP on the server with these and was able to create longer responses. I spent time with people who enjoyed going into detail about actions, and I also spent some time learning P2L combat from experts. I became skilled at different kinds of roleplay as this progressed, and when I'm into a lore-based or real roleplay, I'll major mid-length to longer replies for depth.

I've recently taken a break from SRP, which lasted a short while, and I've come back, and I do try to keep up with long-length roleplay actions and responses, and I now gratefully have the experience of working as a professor, learning how the faculty work goes much more close-up, the professionalism helped turn the language I tend to use in replies, making it more formal, more ‘grown-up’ in a way.

Why do you want to join the School Employee faction?:
RI truly enjoy spending time on SRP, so I'm interested in becoming a chef and joining the school faculty. However, I frequently struggle to find regular opportunities to participate. I would have more work to do and a new way to remain involved in the community if I took on the chef position. As someone who has previously been a faculty member, I truly enjoyed interacting with the other staff members; it made the experience feel more connected and engaging. Since I've played a student for a long time and would like the change of pace and increased responsibility that come with a faculty role like this, I'm also hoping to return to AdultRP.

Situations

During a work-shift a student starts cursing at you for being pathetic, how does your character react?:
Being a parent, Yuichi would already have tolerance for dealing with children who may be behaving in a way that can be seen as unruly, rude, or otherwise inappropriate. Naturally, the first response taken would be to ask the student to lower their tone, and to stop cursing. The warning would be firm, abrupt, yet kept fair as to avoid coming off as ‘rude’ or ‘disrespectful. If this is where the situation stops, my character would keep going on with their day.
However, if the student is to continue there would be one, or two more warnings, being more firm with them, as to get the point across more clearly. There shouldn’t be much pressure put across, but simultaneously enough to ensure that this should not go on.
Finally, if this is to continue further, penalty and punishment will be given out according to what may be deemed necessary, which may be detentions, or further, depending on the exact language used and/or the situation, if it escalates or not.

You notice two students are physically fighting in the hallway, – multiple punches have been thrown – how does your character react?:
Immediately, Yui would move in to split the two two apart, calling in for other faculty in the time being, for the location, names, etcetera, just in case they decide to leave.
Immediately after that, Yuichi would sit them down, separate from one another as to prevent further changes, and politely ask for the situation, what happened, reasonings, such as if it were self defence or not, and simultaneously checking for any injuries which may have been sustained from the fight. He’d take some quick mental note of what they were saying, the key points, other people who may have been involved, etcetera.
After this, any names of witnesses would be brought in, and questioned just the same as the other two, and if it’s necessary, CCTV will be checked for proof, and assurance on what may have occurred. After this, detention slips would be handed to each of whom are to blame for failing to conduct themselves in an appropriate manner, fighting rather than talking in a civilised way, granted, that might be hard depending on the scenario, but still given detention regardless, and a warning of what may come if they decide to continue.

Another school employee is clearly acting inappropriately, doing something very dangerous on the job, how does your character react?:
Seeing something that might be dangerous, my character would approach with caution, as to not accidentally fall into potential danger themselves. He’d begin by asking what exactly it was they were doing, more as getting any reasoning than actually not seeing what was going on, as it was clearly not something that should be done on professional grounds.
Notes would be taken on what was seen, then what was told to them by the individual in question, putting them separate as to be left to compare. Being a little stricter with this obvious malpractice, Yuichi would harden their gaze slightly, and inform them of how clearly this is not suited for the time and place, before leaving to submit the newly written report.

When in the employee break room, how does your character act?
In the break room, Yuichi is more relaxed than he is in the halls, knowing that this is somewhere he can wind down. The first choice would be to get a coffee, greet coworkers if they are present, and take a minute to wind down before work or during their break.
During this time, Yuichi may take the time to prepare meals, considering what might be different to have, changing things around so that it’s not boring every day. Essentially, in the break room, the space is used as time to figure things out, figure out what to do that day, rather than just laze about. They aren’t quite the person to normally settle down.

Provide us with at least three detailed /me's of your character whilst on your chosen role:

/me
immediately made his way getting to work, opening the fridge, cupboards, drawers, making sure everything is in order, and even making sure he knows exactly where everything is, and where it should go. Yui moved to one of the sinks and began washing his hands, making sure to fully cleanse himself before he even touched any of the food. He started by preparing one of the vegan options, taking some oranges from the fridge, then taking a knife, which he checked for its sharpness. The man began by placing one of the oranges onto the cutting board, and preparing his knife, forefinger and thumb on on the point of the blade just past the handle, and the rest of his fingers curled around for best grip and mobility, and he began cutting, first by carving the fruit in half, then cutting those halves into quarters, then so on until they’re in good sized slices, probably when they’re in eighths, and set them into a large glass bowl, ready to be split into smaller dishes. Then he repeated the process, afterall, he had more than just a few bowls to fill.
/me sighed, now having finished this period of serving, moved to one of the supply cupboards, taking out a spray bottle and a cloth, moving back to the main counter where he sprayed a few times, and then began wiping the counter down, using his height to reach the very end, and all the way around, leaving no spot dull, every part sparkling so bright you could see your reflection. After the counters were done, the male would move to the sink, rinsing off his cloth before wringing it out to put away with the spray bottle. The next move was to go back to the sink, where he’d take trays the children had returned and begin washing them. He didn’t trust dishwashers, ‘they never do the job right’, he’d insist. And in just a little bit of time, there were a pile of trays drying beside the sink as he began washing the cutting boards, bowls, utensils, etcetera he had used in the process.
/me started routing through cupboards, drawers, fridges, freezers, generally anywhere food can possibly be contained, holding a notepad in one hand whilst he scribbled down on it what was where, and how much of it. Keeping quick counts, eyeballing numbers, placing them down, moving on, repeat. This process went on for a solid hour, maybe more of him double checking, crossing out numbers and writing corrections until he got values that looked right. The sheet was torn from his notepad, and stuck onto one of the fridges with a magnet before he began to plan what to make using what was in good stock. Omelets. They seemed like the best way to go, a good protein start to the day, and they’re pretty simple to make, so making a lot of them won’t be so hard. After washing his hands, Yui moved to the fridge where he took some of the eggs, a skillet, then some chopsticks. He cracked an egg or two into the skillet, where he blended the white and the yolks together using the chopsticks, sprinkling in salt and pepper where needed, and tossing the skillet to create that omelet ‘shell’, if that’s what you want to call it. Diligent work. Work that was completely focussed on, and would need to be repeated a LOT.

Backstory

I was born in Karakura, the son of a long line of Hattoris before me, but I was taken from my mother when I was young to be brought up and trained by my father, Dimitri. My father wasn’t exactly loving, and solely wanted a strong child, an heir to what he was, a monster. And when I was only 4, I was brought up learning how to fight, nothing else other than the basics. This wasn’t the life I wanted, I’ve come to realise when he grew up, but it is the life I was stuck with at the time
From my young age, I was taught simple techniques like a fist, a kick, and was brought up to try and be strong, muscle building, strength training, the opposite of what a child my age should be doing. It was torturous on my small body, and I struggled to take it, only to have suffered my father’s wrath because of it. This was a way of life now, and I worked up 16 more cruel years of it, and when I was near-fully grown, he sent me off on my first task, bringing me here, to Karakura. The details of this task aren’t really anything I can remember clearly, but it wasn’t ever complete, after only a month I got word that my father was dead, and I had inherited all he owned, not that I wanted it, I got rid of it, sold it off to the highest bidder, and started my life here, started over.
From what I experienced as a young age, I didn’t want to put anyone through that, and I put it behind me, away, locked, never to be touched. It wasn’t me. That’s what I believe. I lived with a loved one, and met my family for the first time, sad, I know, but it’s unfortunately the truth. Meeting them when I was already 20. But even then I persisted, and I started studying, working up, getting degrees in education, and when I was done job-hopping, I settled for a while here as a professor, though I left shortly after i got married, due to some of the stresses it caused.
I’ve come to realise that I missed being here, and so, I’ve come back again.

Motivation for Joining KHS (Character perspective):
I haven't been on Karakura's streets in a while, and it's been even longer since I hung up my coat at the college. To be honest, the stress of that job exhausted me more than I had anticipated, so I quit. Constant pressure and long hours got to be too much. However, Karakura never really left me, even after I moved away. You remember the city's rhythm and its people.
Now that I've had time to reflect and unwind, I'm ready to go back, not to college, but to something more secure that still enables me to help the community I care about. Cooking has always helped me maintain my sense of reality. It's a sincere job. You don't have to say much in the kitchen as long as you prepare food with care and serve it thoughtfully. I want to introduce that to Karakura High School. I want to be a reliable presence for the faculty and students, someone who has witnessed the city's chaos and tranquility and decides to give back with something as basic and necessary as a satisfying meal.

Why should you be accepted over the other applicants?:
I’m not really going to say I’m better than anyone else. But, I can offer expertise, modesty, and a genuine understanding of what it means to serve a school community. I've worked in Karakura's educational system before, so I understand the tempo, the demands, and how crucial it is to be a consistent, dependable presence for both staff and students. More significantly, I've grown from my mistakes. I've taken a break, matured, and am coming back with a more defined goal—not merely to perform a job, but to make it meaningful.
I want to create a place in the school where people feel seen, safe, and cared for, even if it's just over a plate of food. Such a heart comes from lived experience and a genuine connection to this city, not from a resume. Karakura is someone I know. I left, I missed it, and I decided to return. That is important. And that's precisely why I'll put my all into this role every single day.
