List your current roles on the server:
Grade-12 (Ki-Eun Choi-Inoue)
What experiences do you have with roleplay?:
I have been roleplaying for almost twelve years now! Most, if not all, of my roleplay experience is literate/detailrp based and I'm not entirely used to doing otherwise.
I started on Forum websites for Warrior Cats, where roles were given via applications (similar to this, but there was no Minecraft server!) and if you were accepted, you would keep that role indefinitely, unless there were other reasons as to why the role would be dropped. The roleplay here was literate from what I can remember (but it was also 11-12 years ago so my memory could be lacking. This was my main source of roleplay intake for one or two years until I got Minecraft on my computer in 2014! This was my initial introduction to Minecraft roleplay and it mostly consisted of people creating small maps in a creative server and then making characters for others to pick out and play throughout the roleplay! These were less literate, but very quick paced and driven by drama which I enjoyed at the time. Alongside this, I did creative writing and read plenty!
Other places I roleplayed on included Facebook & Quotev! On Facebook, the roleplays were slower, but wildly more detailed than other places I had experienced, and there were staff members to keep the group active and keep events flowing! I worked on that staff and helped maintain the group as a whole as well as aiding in getting events out. On Quotev, however, the roleplay was a lot more casual and very quick paced! I feel because of the difference types of Roleplays I've been in, I have found a good middle ground and can do detailed sessions, quick paced sessions, and a good mix of both! To add to this, I briefly did detailed roleplay on Roblox. Which was also Warrior Cats.
To finish, I have also started roleplaying on Discord and, as of more recently, SRP! The roleplays on discord is something I typically do with friends and it ranges from world building to character building and then roleplaying scenarios out based on what we have created together! It's literate/detailrp. I will be entirely transparent, though, I am fairly new to SRP and have been here consistently for just under a month, but since then I have taken part in detailed roleplays and created bonds with other players / characters alike.
What is your motivation for applying?
I have always taken an interest in medicinal roles when it comes to roleplay, honestly, and it would be exciting to be able to pursue that within SRP. Not to mention, a new experience within this server would be fulfilling and a great way to build my skills with writing both in a detailed manner, and in a quick manner! I've also been interested in this faction since I first came onto the server, to be frank.
Within roleplaying, I have been in and out of the hospital a couple of times and that alone has piqued my interest about the ins and outs of the EMS faction! I love the level of detail that goes into diagnosis' and helping patients and I'd love, more than anything, to be a new asset so I can also help players have a great experience within the hospital, the server and the roleplay as an entirety.
Which role are you applying for?
Doctor
What knowledge do you have of the roles within the Hospital Faction?
I have very little knowledge, I think, but I will state what I know!
Doctors : They are found within the hospital and are typically the ones to diagnose physical issues and help when patients come in! They suture wounds, check peoples symptoms via differing methods (blood pressure, pupil check with a light) and can take part in the beginner steps to life saving surgeries!
Surgeons : They are the people that are qualified to do surgeries! Anything to save a person from internal injuries, or to suture a wound that was too large to focus on whilst awake. There's also organ transplants, if that's something that happens!
Psychiatrists : These people's focus are on mental health and offering therapy/services to better people who are struggling with things internally. Some things can be done towards getting some recognition on mental health issues that a character has.
Paramedics : They are doctors who are called out to scenes to give immediate care to, sometimes, dire situations. They stabilize patients to bring them back to the hospital, or fix them where they are and send them on their way.
Do you acknowledge that if training is held whilst you are online, you are expected to attend or you will be punished?
Yes

26
Character’s Academic Background:
Zhiyuan flew through his basic education with flying colors and finished top of his class! Then, he studied modern medicine in University from the ages 18-22, and from there he did a three year residency in a hospital in Beijing.
Character’s Nationality:
Chinese
Character’s Marital Status:
Single, unmarried
Character’s Religious Denomination:

Character Backstory (Optional):
Zhiyuan was born and raised in Beijing, China! His family was pretty well off, with his father being a successful artist and owning two museums in Beijing that brought in decent amounts of income that funded Zhi's passion for medicine. His mother, on the other hand, was a music composer. She worked more closely with other local musicians and, together, Zhi's parents were respected and well known within the community. Zhi's interest in medicine was sparked, firstly, when his mother had to be rushed into a surgery due to a blood clot in the brain. The surgery was strenuous and part of the reason that Zhi grew an interest within neurology. Otherwise, his upbringing was as normal as ever, with him blasting through high school and University. Once had finished University and got his bachelors in medicine, he started his Residency in Beijing when he was 22, and finished when he was 25. Not too long after this, he moved to Karakura.
After this, he took a year to study the location and get to know the land before taking the steps necessary to get involved in the works of the Hospital in hopes of getting a job! (Aka this application) ^_^
SECTION 2: MEDICAL HISTORY
What is your character’s medical specialty? Why did they choose this focus?
Zhiyuan's medical specialty and interest is centered around neurology. This is primarily because he is greatly fascinated by the works of the nervous system and how small factors can drastically change a life based on situations and illnesses alike. He strives to help people and would love more than anything to aid patients in getting complex diagnosis' and making a large, positive impact on peoples lives as a result!
More specifically, however, Zhi's curiosity is centered around peripheral nerves and how certain impacts on such a location can impact peoples lives. He loves to learn about it on a consistent level, and would love even more to help people with such issues, should they need it!
Does your character have any work experience in medical positions?
Zhiyuan has done a three year residency in Beijing, China. He started when he was 22, and finished when he was 25, just before the move to Karakura! Alongside his time in education (excluding the residency), he worked in a pharmacy and a clinic. Within his residency, he learned the procedure to diagnosing patients, as well gaining hands-on training and managing patient care and comfort!
SECTION 3: CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE
Describe your character; how do they look, what makes them unique? How would they be perceived by others?
Zhiyuan is a 6'3 Chinese man with pale skin, green eyes and a relatively thin build. His hair is naturally black, but he has dyed it a dark blue with a few, lighter blue highlights. He takes a lot of pride in his appearance and enjoys dying his hair to showcase his sense of self and his style. It brings him joy. He, generally, has quite the unwelcoming look about him, but his voice is soft and kind, despite him actually not speaking much overall. He's a big sweetheart, and strangely good at remaining calm during stressful situations, which is an amazing trait to have in the setting of a hospital, and in a town that frequents varying medical issues with its residents.
Zhiyuan would likely been perceived as a quiet and somewhat mysterious man. He keeps to himself and finds joy in reading when he isn't working, leaning more towards educational works so that he can learn something new as often as possible.
How does your character act around the hospital?
Around the hospital, more in between shifts and patients, Zhi would likely be seen tidying up small crevices of the hospital and/or sat somewhere reading. He would always remain within earshot of patients, just in case somebody needed him. His demeanor overall would be professional and he'd work hard to make sure him and his colleagues get on well with each day that passes. They have to work together, after all.
When a patient arrives, his first priority is getting the patient into a room and making them feel comfortable first and foremost (depending on the severity of their visit).
Does your character function better on their own or with others?
Zhiyuan tends to function better alone, but he also is really good at working with other people. Different things factor into it; the patient, the situation, the feel of the day. He actively tries to speak with others to build his relations and his ability to work with them.
