APPLICATION INFORMATION
What position are you applying for?:
Lawyer
What is your motivation for applying?:
Long ago when Charlotte was quite young, her mother was shot and killed in a gang war, resulting in horrible injuries and medical complications before she fully passed on. Ever since then, Charlotte wanted to become a lawyer, because they put away criminals for a long time, they fight through sweat and blood to make sure criminals don't get out and get placed into prison for a very long time. She wants to make sure that no child has to ever suffer the same fate that she did, she thinks each child should always have their mother with them. She will work alongside the Karakura Police Department to put away criminals, though she'll also happily embrace the other side of being a lawyer, filing restraining orders, attending public dispute trials and more.
Do you have an understanding of Karakura’s laws & Constitutional rights?:
Yup! I made sure to read them all correctly and perfectly.
What are your goals for being in Government Faction?:
The answer for this question can be put in as many different ways. Personally I wish to explore and try out some new roleplay experiences with this job! Interacting more with others, through different roleplay scenarios and such. Seeing as I am an aspiring lawyer, I think this would be an excellent opportunity to blend RP with real world aspirations. It's a more humble goal compared to others, but still challenging in its own ways I like to believe.
In your own words, describe the different roles of the Government Faction:
Mayor
The Mayor is the elected leader of the city, town, village, or any other census designated populated area. They're the chief and head of the government department, nothing happens in the city without crossing their desk, at least that’s the idea. They're responsible for making decisions on how to run the two, which includes budget, overseeing city services, and engaging with the brave police officers or EMS when it's needed.
Deputy Mayor
Тhe Deputy Mayor is second in command when it comes to the government department. They serve as a vital piece of the chain of command, not just serving as the mayor’s replacement. Depending on the attitude of the mayor they may also serve as a right hand man, someone to defer to when they think their judgment is maligned or perhaps when they just come to a crossroads in decision making, positions of such power require a delicate touch when it comes to such things as these changes often affect more than just their office.
Head of Departments
When it comes to the Head of Departments, it could mean many things... Like Deputy Minister, a senior civil servant or the more typical name when it comes to this and other factions, leader of a specific branch/division. They're typically responsible for managing the department's resources, ensuring effective delivery of government programs and services.
Governor
Governors are administrative leaders or heads of a polity or political region. They're the highest ranking executive of a prefecture. Governors typically are ones who officiate weddings, hand out IDs, approve adoption paper. They also help out with surveying the public and making sure that things are up to standard.
Judge
Judges work to oversee court proceedings and cases, they work on determining guilt and sentencing in both civil and criminal cases making sure they end up in some sort of fairness. They're also responsible for interpreting laws, ruling over legal issues and adjudicating disputes. They also do things like file restraining orders, issuing warrants and much like governors, they also do officiating weddings and approve adoption papers. But they do many other things besides all that too!
Lawyer
Lawyers play a multifaceted role where they represent legal encompassing advice and the protection of human rights and social justice, also known as the 'Attorneys Act'. They typically play/represent clients in court, provide legal counsel and draft legal documents. They typically strive to maintain social order and improve the legal system, itself. They also help with things by attending trials, client meetings, file restraining orders and many more.
Do you acknowledge that upon being accepted you can be subject to removal at any given time?:
Yup, I completely understand!
Have you read & agreed to follow the Government Faction rules?:
I have indeed read the Government Faction rules and I do agree to them.

IN CHARACTER SECTION
Full name:
Charlotte stood in front of the interviewer, she quickly sat into her seat and she extended her arm to shake the interviewer's arm. She politely bowed her head before speaking. "I'll start by introducing myself, my name is Charlotte Grimes." Her voice was calming, soothing but also firm, her expression stayed calm and neutral. She was ready to nail this interview. "However my friends call me Char and any co-worker will be allowed the same, i believe that a friendly work environment is essential." she chuckled quietly
Preferred title (Mr., Mrs., etc.):
She adjusted her tie, as she smiled gently "Mrs. Grimes should work just fine." her smile seemed genuine.
Current age:
Charlotte's eyebrow perked up, this question was foreign to her, she always looked old enough, no one had ever actually asked her what her age was, she giggled to herself lightly "I'm currently thirty years old." She tucked a strand of her blond hair behind her ear. "Pardon me for being surprised, people always assume I was in my twenties, I was simply never asked this question directly" She spoke gently
Date of birth:
She hummed silently "I was born on the rainy night of November Fifteenth 1995" She started to think about what her mother had told her about her birth before she had died
Gender:
An amused expression was plastered on Charlotte's face "I am a woman, my pronouns are she/her" She bit her lower lip attempting hold in a laugh. She exhaled deeply, she started fiddling with her fingers to try to calm herself down.
Academic Degree:
Charlotte thought about it for a moment, she wanted to recite the exact degree she had been given, without making a mistake "I earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Harvard College, providing me with a strong foundation in understanding human behavior and mental processes. After which I re-centered my studies, coming to fully focus on the legal aspect, rather than two subjects at once. I obtained my Juris Doctor from Harvard Law School, where I focused my studies on criminal justice and advocacy for marginalized individuals." She spoke with ease.
Major(s):
She adjusted herself in her seat "Before Law School I majored in Criminal Justice and Psychology" Her right leg started to shake because of the stress
Minor(s):
"Journalism" She didn't like that answer, it sounded too short, incomplete, dry and cold."I minored in Journalism." Charlotte corrected herself.
Work experience:
She started thinking about when she was eighteen, the nostalgia hit quickly "Fresh out of High School, at eighteen I started off as a legal secretary. I assisted Lawyers in preparing documents, in arranging meeting between the Lawyers and the Clients and I organised a lot of legal files. I worked as a legal secretary for eight years, I truly loved working with Lawyers and with law. Until my boss saw potential in me, and pushed me to go to Harvard to become an official Lawyer. Sadly the firm shut down before I could become a Lawyer. Then I moved to Karakura." She was wondering if she did good.
Nationality & born location:
She thought about it for a moment, not wanting to make a mistake on such an important thing "I am Japanese, I was born in Tokyo, then moved to the US. My mother was Japanese and my father Korean, thought he left when I was ten, he couldn't handle losing my mom."
Fluent languages (Underline your native):
She smiled, she simply knew this question was next "I speak Japanese, Korean and English!"
Criminal record:
This was the type of question she never expected to be asked "I have never been arrested, I have never committed a crime and it will stay that way. Why would I want to become a Lawyer, someone that fights crime, if I would commit a crime myself!"
What makes you a good candidate for this job?
"I'm a perfectionist, for an example, when I was a legal secretary, i would spend hours perfecting, contracts, subpoenas to make them flawless." She tucked a strand of her hair behind her ear, her voice broke slightly "My mother was murdered in a gang fight when I was 16. Ever since that day, i'm dreamt of becoming a lawyer to make sure no child would have to go through what I did. I want to put criminals away into prison for a long time" she cleared her throat and took a deep breath "I was in the debate team in High School, I worked my ass off and when I won the regional competition, I knew it paid off. I have also been into acting, learning to speak properly, and with a serious tone." She fiddled with her fingers slightly, this was a question where she knew she would get emotional, she was prepared but obviously not emotionally "I really want this job, i've been called a workaholic way too many times, i love working, i loved being a legal secretary and now I can do much more. Thank you for your time." She got up from her seat after shaking the interviewer's arm once again, she politely bowed goodbye to the Interviewer "I hope to see you soon" She announced and turned to leave.
