Why are Teachers so important to SchoolRP?:
Teachers are important to SchoolRP because where else would we be without them? This server quite literally has a high school as the starting point for every player, and you can't have a school at all without someone teaching! Without teachers, the server wouldn't be what it was made for. These people are the backbone of the community in their own way, being the type that players go to in game if they wish to learn about their chosen topics! Sure, it might be difficult at times for them, but it's a part of the experience, nonetheless.

Do you acknowledge that if you are inactive you may lose your role?: Yes
Do you agree to undergo teacher training if your application is successful?: Yes

In-Character Section

What's your character's full name?: Hao Bei
What is your character's nationality?: Japanese, however, he held Chinese citizenship around a decade or so prior.
What is your preferred subject to teach?: History

Describe your character:
Standing at a rough 5'10", Bei seemed to have a slender build - not much muscle was visible, but it was sort of difficult to see nonetheless with the large leather jacket that covered both arms. His hair was an organized mess of sorts, with it being flourished with a ponytail that tied the whole look together (no pun intended)! Bei's bangs framed his face, but not enough to obscure his vision. His eyes? They were a deep sort of brown, covered by a pair of thick framed glasses that rested on his nose. The latter of which's bridge would remind one of a cathedral roof's arch, ending with a curve towards the tip of it. Amongst this, a single mole rested near Bei's nose. His skincare was immaculate, not much else to see on his face beyond the resting bitch-face that didn't give quite much justice to how vibrant of a personality he was.

Bei's style commonly included the leather jacket mentioned earlier, resting on top of a plain white shirt with a black dress-tie. His jeans were slightly worn down, the dirt at the bottoms showing the life of someone who often spent their time outside instead of cooped up behind some desk. Bei's boots only reinforced this image; the black leather being marred by some dirt towards the soles. His style was loose unless otherwise unnecessary, in other words.

With how he behaved, you would be reminded of an adult who had all but matured emotionally. Yet, somehow, he was tolerable. Maybe it was Bei's way of lightening the rooms he entered, or the fact that patience was definitely a virtue of his. Either way, he was an intelligent man who behaved like he had too much time and not much else to do, making the most of it regardless. His eccentricity only boosted this behavior - yet he was still approachable. Bei was commonly seen talking to coworkers, checking on students, and making sure those around him were well-off. A helpful man, in all honesty, if a bit bold and loud as hell.

If you asked him yourself, he'd tell you he wanted to just live life to the fullest - yet still help those around him. And, if we're being fully honest? He does mean that entirely; Bei isn't one who's known for simply sitting aside. Alongside actually keeping himself and his family abroad afloat, he wants to make sure he has a positive impact on the community he resides in. Something many could say, but would they do it anyways? Bei knew he'd try his best to.

What is your character's outlook on students and co-workers?:
Providing Bei this question would be enough to get him to go into a tirade, but let's cut it simply! This man sees his coworkers like extended family, the students even more of such - despite the rather rough and rowdy demeanor the latter has at this school. Bei may get annoyed sometimes with too much chaos, but it adds flavor to his workplace, and he'd rather not have it any other way (though he'd never admit this out loud). Both parties mean the world to him, almost as much as his own kin do - that alone should tell you enough of how he views those around him, including students and coworkers.

What is your character's motivation for teaching?:
He has more than a singular motive towards teaching, but the core of it would just to make sure the next generation is best off! Currently it may be a complete mess, but that doesn't diminish any hope that Bei has to make it better. He'd rather try and assist those younger than him to make the best of what they can, even if some are a bit rough around the edges. Bei may not be the kind who's willing to play games when it comes to serious matters (especially other peoples' lives), but that's exactly why he signed up for the position in the first place.

Roleplay Scenarios

A student in class is struggling to understand the content, what would your character do?:
Bei isn't the type to ignore a clearly struggling student. If the individual decided to come up and ask him some questions regarding what they're confused about, he'd be absolutely willing to answer! While he may not give an outright one (if it's for an assignment or homework), he'd try and guide them to it instead of shutting them down immediately. Bei would, in the case of it just being a lesson plan they have an issue with, re-explain what he needed to! No other questions required on their part.

A student is continuously being disruptive in class, talking out of turn, and making jokes with classmates. What would your character do?:
In this case, Bei would tell them to quiet down; you can't learn when someone's chronically disrupting your education, after all! He'd be polite about it, despite their rudeness initially, and move on with the topic if they had listened. Even with that, he'd keep an eye on the student to make sure they didn't continue their behaviors. Bei might try his best to trust a student, but he also isn't the type to turn a blind eye to bad behavior.

If the individual student ignored him again, he'd then bring up how he could kick them out if they kept being loud. A second warning, so to speak. Though this student seems persistent - so if they continued even with this in mind? Bei wouldn't hesitate, instead taking it upon himself to guide the student in question out of class. He'd mention how he warned them already, of course, but that wouldn't make him any softer on them.

Provide at least 2 interactive class ideas related to your preferred subject:
An OOC note - my preferred subject is Karakura History specifically! These two ideas will only be relating towards it.

Historical Trivia Bee - A take on the iconic spelling bee often used in primary schools!

The historical trivia bee, as stated by Bei himself during a lesson, would include the students standing to the walls of their classroom! The teacher himself would be at his desk, of course, and he'd call each student by their name to answer a specific question regarding local lore. These may be easy at first, but they gradually grow into more difficult territory! This specific activity would be to test each student's knowledge on the topics that they had learnt and would read about.

Story Time - But, instead of fictional books, this one would be from the local library's history novels.

After a trip to the library outside of the school, Bei would bring back borrowed copies of the books he had read, and thought would fit the subject at hand! Bei would read these to the class himself; maybe not too many, but a good couple that seemed especially intriguing. When he had finished, Bei would then assign each student a worksheet! These would involve questions relating to what had been read, OR they would be the person's own take on how their original fictional characters would react to what the story entailed, as if the character had been there themself!
As a note for this one, it would need to be something I, OOCLY, take screenshots of instead of actually borrowing the books! Just to make it easier on my and the public library's admins end.
