When most people hear about the most common crimes in many other places, they think of breaking and entering, robbery, common thievery, little things. But here in our little town, the crimes we tend to hear about, the crimes that KPD have to deal with, the crimes that the citizens of Karakura witness, tend to be a bit more- darker. Messier.
After speaking to many of those who have witnessed, or even KPD officers of what they believe are the most common crimes, you’d be shocked with what I’ve heard. I mean, even I was shocked with how common these are!
Coming to the top five of the most common crimes, and starting at number five, is Street Racing! People are caught almost everyday racing, speeding and running over curbs, running red lights and overall giving people quite a scare- or wrecking into public property. Or other people.
[!] A video was clipped! Showing a red headed male standing in the woods! [!]

Karasuya Saiky; “Mister Gwayne, What would you say is one of the most common crimes in Karakura?”
[!] Gwayne would tilt his head, scrunching his nose as he was deep in thought. [!]
Gwayne Aiuchi; “Evasion. You would not BELIEVE how many people I see running from the cops. Not that. . I’m speaking from experience. .”
Karasuya Saiky; “I see! And why do you think people tend to run from the cops?”
Gwayne Aiuchi; “Because they’re too scared to deal with the consequences of their actions.”
Karasuya Saiky; “Are you sure you don’t have experience?”
[!] Karasuya would ask with a tilt of her head. Meanwhile Gwayne would laugh and look away. [!]
Gwayne Aiuchi; “Me? Never!”
[!] The clip would end! Asking if you wanted to replay it! [!]

Number Two comes down to; yikes- what a heavy topic- Possession of Illegal weaponry. Scary to think when you pass by a person, they could be carrying an illegal weapon on them. Or just be a normal citizen of Karakura. If you don’t know what could be classified as “Illegal weaponry”, Eguchi Takeo is more than happy to explain!
[!] A video was clipped! Showing a young man in the reporter’s office. [!]
Karasuya Saiky; “What would you say, Mister Takeo, is the most common crime of Karakura?
Eguchi Takeo; “I would have to say Possession of Illegal Weaponry.”
Karasuya Saiky; “And what would be considered ‘Illegal Weaponry’?”
[!] The male seemed to give a look as if saying ‘Isn’t this common knowledge?’ Before sighing. [!]
Eguchi Takeo; “Well, the most common illegal weaponry would be Katanas, spiked Bats, fire axes, Naginatas, pocket knives, crowbars, Sais, tactical knives and lastly, spiked gloves.”
[!] The video would end, returning to a dark screen, asking if you would like to replay the video! [!]

And lastly, for the top of the list, a crime that no one wishes to see, hear or even know of.. coming in a Number One; Assault. You would not believe how many times when I’ve asked people or interviewed, how many people had said Assault, whether it be people who witnessed it, or the victims.
I mean, look at our publisher! Mister Kaz himself was arrested for 2nd degree murder to Manslaughter! But he was bailed out! Of course, that was a long long time ago, and he’s made a name for himself! Just look at that smile in the photo on the front page! Who could resist that charm?
In conclusion, it’s a scary world out there. Our city that may be home to us, is also a home of criminals, gangs and groups. But thankfully, we have our Government officials, our KPD to keep us safe and do their best to make sure everyone is safe. And I’m sure they won’t stop until crime is taken care of for good. We may not know when that time may be, but surely it can’t be that far from us, right?
Though these may be the most common crimes, ranging from Street racing, evasion, Obstruction of Justice, Carrying Illegal weaponry and assault to even murder, it’s clear we have a government to look after us and keep us safe!
