Describe your activity on the server:
I first started playing on this server 2 years ago and it has had a special place in my heart ever since. In the gangrp sphere I became decently well known. My long time in gangrp has polished my skill in roleplay and detailrp to an extremely advanced level. I was not just limited to average positions in gangs and was also in a captain position (head of a unit) at one point as well which gave me plenty of experience in a role with many responsibilities. I was on break from this server for a period of time because life got very busy. However, I returned a few months ago with a newfound drive to be even more included in the server and have been playing consistently ever since I’ve rejoined. Currently I am free to play at anytime due to being on summer break meaning I can be online during the downtimes of the server as well as the busy hours.
APPLICATION INFORMATION
What position are you applying for?:
Judge
What is your motivation for applying?:
Roleplay. I am extremely tired of gangrp since that has been the only side of the server that I have been accepted in and want to experience a new and refreshing side to this server that will excite me again. Part of my inactivity was getting rejected from the hospital faction and becoming increasingly bored with nothing new or meaningful to do. I want to grow as a roleplayer by experiencing new types of roleplay situations in a faction and roleplay as an upstanding member of the town. I want to be truly involved in events and contribute to meaningful changes in the server.
Do you have an understanding of Karakura’s laws & Constitutional rights?:
I have a firm understanding of Karakura’s laws and Constitutional rights. I will always keep a copy close at hand and refer to them when needed.
What are your goals for being in Government Faction?:
My goals for joining the government faction are to experience a new type of faction and help create a meaningful as well as fun roleplay experience. When joining this faction, I realize that I will become an important figure in the town with heavy responsibilities and I want to work hard to not only be able to carry out my duties as a Judge but also make an impact on the town through my work.
My goal for my character joining the faction is to build Jake’s reputation within the government and develop his character further. I want him to become more refined, professional and open to others through his work with the citizens of Karakura instead of the quiet and cold individual that he used to be.
In your own words, describe the different roles of the Government Faction:
Government Higherups
Mayor
Role within the Government:
The highest ranking position in the government of Karakura. The mayor is in charge of the wellbeing of the entire town and its inhabitants. They are the main representative of the town and hold the most power.
Basic Responsibilities:
They oversee operations done in the town such as infrastructure and propose changes to laws. They hold meetings within the government faction and have the ability to carry out many of the same duties as other members of the government such as drafting legal documents, desk work, and officiating marriages.
Deputy Mayor
Role within the Government:
The second highest ranking position in the government of Karakura. The Deputy Mayor’s roll is to be the Mayor’s representative whenever they are unavailable. They provide their own leadership as well as opinion on the town's future.
Basic Responsibilities:
The Deputy Mayor often attends public functions, ceremonies and meetings on behalf of the mayor in the mayor's absence. They can aid the mayor with paperwork or decisions when the office is vacant.
Government Body
Governor

There are many unfortunate circumstances and disorderly families in the town of Karakura. It is the job of Governors to instill order and give those without a home a chance at leading a proper life with a loving and supportive family.

It is an important duty of judges to oversee the trials that take place in the courts of Karakura and make sure that there is order and fairness for each party involved. At the end of the trial they are the one who passes on the punishment to the citizen.
Issuing warrants
As stated in article 13 of the constitution, "No person shall be apprehended except upon a written warrant issued by a Judge or Mayor, which details the reason with which the person is searched unless they are apprehended, the offence being committed." This means in most cases KPD officers can not apprehend dangerous individuals that threaten Karakura and it's citizens without these warrants making this task extremely important.
Reviewing cases
Before carrying out trials, a Judge must make themselves clear on the contents of the case. They often do not get very much time beforehand to review these cases and this makes it crucial that a Judge has a good memory.

A judge must help with the paperwork as well as officiating the union between two individuals in Karakura. They assure that the ceremony as well as legal proceeding all follow the proper procedures.
Filing restraining orders
Judges like all government workers have the task of keeping the citizens of Karakura safe. When an individual feels unsafe around another citizen it is the job of the Judge to draft the proper documents that detail a boundary that helps them feel safe. If one breaks the restraining order and makes the other feel unsafe, it is the duty of the Judge to pass on the proper punishment.
Contributing to front desk work
No matter what issue a citizen of Karakura has, it is the duty of the town's government officials to help them. Judges work at the front desk of town hall in order to oversee and aid any matters regarding Karakura and it's citizens.
Approving adoption paperwork
Judges draft and approve the proper adoption paperwork and help oversee the procedure of adoption. They help the younger generation of the town find the support and love that they need in order to thrive and become upstanding citizens.

Taking Attorney Calls
Attorney calls are given to Lawyers when they are appointed to a position of overseeing the assets and wellbeing of a citizen of Karakura when they are unable to do so themselves.
Participating in client meetings
Lawyers must communicate with their clients in meetings and be transparent about their goals and plans on ongoing cases. Citizens can also book meetings with Lawyers to be given advice on legal matters or to draft important documents.
Filing restraining orders
If a Lawyer's client feels unsafe about being in proximity to another citizen of Karakura, Lawyers can help them draft restraining orders that will be passed through the proper legal procedures in the Karakura judicial system.
Contributing to front desk work
Lawyers are always working face to face with the everyday citizens of Karakura and so they are expected to work the front desk in order to give advice, draft documents, or provide legal aid for the population.
Building client lists
Lawyers work with many different citizens at a time and can be apart of multiple ongoing cases. They must remain diligent and keep an organized and coherent list on all of their clients in a proper database in order to stay on top of their work.

IN CHARACTER SECTION
Full name:
He would bow to the recruiter before sitting down in his chair, his eye wandering around the room noting every small detail in the seemingly plain office. However, to Jake’s eye there was much to take stock of before settling into his seat, “Jake F. Zakharov.” He would finally reply slowly, choosing each word carefully as his eye settled on the recruiter. Even though he only had one eye, it bore much knowledge and experience that could be used to see the true character of a person. His job as a judge would need his scrutinizing gaze and he intended to make good use of it to keep this town safe.
Preferred title (Mr., Mrs., etc.):
“Mr.” His answer would be short and to the point, cutting out any fluff and his gaze would be unwavering throughout the meeting.
Current age:
“25 years old.” He would have to repeat his answer, for the recruiter was in disbelief. Jake had been through much stress and hardship in his life which carried a toll on him. There was the occasional strand of white hair as well as a jadedness to his expression. He had no wrinkles but he carried himself like a man who had lived through a full life at only the age of 25. However, with that came a lifetime of experience on how the real world worked that even the law professors at McGill couldn’t teach.
Date of birth:
“January 27th, 2000.” He would reply slightly quicker, satisfied in his observations of the recruiter. He'd offer them a smile and leaned back in his seat, relaxing but keeping an air professionalism. Compared to having tea with the Saiky Patriarch, Katsuhito Saiky, this interview was much less tense.
Gender:
“Male.” He would look down at the recruiter’s notepad as he jotted down all of Jake’s answers. He fingered the arm of his chair unconsciously and thought about taking a peak at what the recruiter was writing down. He decided against that however, if he was going to take a position in the government of Karakura then he needed to honor the privacy of others. Especially if he was going to be handling confidential cases as a judge.
Academic Degree:
He would puff out his chest with pride as he gave his answer. “I obtained my Criminal Justice - Bachelor of Arts degree and my Juris Doctor Degree from McGill University.” He was not bragging but was simply satisfied in the time and effort he had placed into his education. There were many times when he thought about giving up, the journey through law school was difficult for someone who tended to be more reserved like him. However, he eventually found his voice and a passion for the heated flapping of gums that took place in the courts and wanted to do what he loved in the town he grew up in: Karakura.
Major(s):
“I have majors in Criminal Justice and Political Science.” He recalled Judges with the very same degrees that he had always seen helping people in his life. He had always admired them for their calm confidence and aspired to be exactly like them when he had chosen his majors.
Minor(s):
He would look the examiner up and down as he replied to this question. “I have minors in Sociology, Criminology and Philosophy.” He chose these subjects because he wanted to learn more about society and how unfair it was. He wanted to learn the motivation and the thought process behind the people he was judging. Though they have done wrong, he wanted to be able to sympathize for those deserving of it. The law was heartless and neutral, but those who uphold it did not have to be.
Work experience:
“I worked in shops such as Kansai and Seikatsu as security during my younger days in Karakura. I was also the personal bodyguard of the governor Bao Koji and the bodyguard of a daughter from a high standing family named Patricia Karen Masuo. I had a deep admiration for the governor that I protected and wanted to follow his footsteps and work for the government as well. I then moved away for schooling back in Canada. After I graduated, I began to work in the local court systems and gain experience by taking as many cases as I could. I began to make a name for myself through my numerous achievements in court and moved back to Karakura recently to help the town that I grew up in years ago."
It was strange being back in Karakura. There were many people he recognized and many more he did not. Even though this town was filled with unfamiliar faces now, he would still put his all into giving each and every citizen a proper chance to prove their innocence in the Karakura courts as well as provide quality help outside of the judicial halls.
Nationality & born location:
He would grin from ear to ear and put his arms out in a broad and dramatic gesture. “I’m French Canadian and I was born in beautiful Québec City.” It was obvious how much he loved his home as well as his time there. It truly spoke volumes of his love for the town of Karakura that he decided to come back. In his eyes, if Québec was beautiful then Karakura was jaw droppingly gorgeous.
Fluent languages (Underline your native):
“I’m fluent in Japanese, English, French, Japanese Sign Language, and Russian.” He would respond to the question in each language showing that it was the truth. “One thing I love about this town is how it attracts all kinds of people. You get plenty of opportunities to learn their languages as well as culture.” It truely was the case, being adopted into a russian family shortly after arriving in town when he had no place to call home. He learned just how welcoming this town was and wanted to protect it at all costs for those who were lost and without homes or families just like he was. He would sit up straight, his gaze and demeanor showing his resolve to the recruiter.
Criminal record:
“None." He knew it was a question that the recruiter asked everyone but it still hurt him. His missing eye would always lead people to the wrong conclusions about him but hoped that through his future work people would judge him by his actions and deeds as opposed to his outward appearance. He has never had trouble with the law before and wants to work hand in hand with law enforcement as a judge to uphold the town's structure.
What makes you a good candidate for this job?
He decided to think for a moment before answering. He decided to not give generic answers such as the fact that he was hard-working, passionate and met all the criteria for this job listing. He knew all the other applicants would also be just as qualified as he was but what set him apart from the others was... "I'm just as qualified as the rest of the applicants." He'd shift in his seat, not quite knowing how the recruiter would take his confession. "I'm not special, I'm just human like everyone else in this town. I think my understanding of that fact sets me apart from the others however." He'd nod to himself, realizing that speaking from his heart for this question is the right move. "I am a devout shintoist and visit the shrine everyday. I have befriended many of the priests who have been my mentors on my journey through life. Them and the Kami are my witnesses of my many mistakes and shortcomings in life but I have continued to learn and become a better man through it all." He'd clutch his omamori tightly as he continued to speak. "I know unlike many others that the only judge who can truely make the perfect judgement of a person's character are the Kami but as someone who follows their teachings on morals as well as a practitioner of the law, I can come as close as I can to them in passing the right judgement onto a person."
He'd fold his hands in his lap, giving the recruiter a genuine smile. "Everyone is made equal in this life by the Kami and so I will treat everyone equally and unbiasedly when performing my duties as a judge. My moral code is stronger than any other which is the most crucial aspect of any government worker." He'd let out a soft almost inaudible sigh as he finished speaking. When he was finally dismissed he would stand up and bow to the recruiter before leaving the interview. It was time to pray for a different reason, his acceptance for this job.
