Describe your activity on the server:
I first joined the server around 5 years ago and have had the opportunity of accomplishing many goals, trying out different roles and roleplays. I then took a long break to focus on my education and with real life circumstances but I began playing again not too long ago and hope to commit to a steady activity going forward. In a sense, this server was my childhood and it drew me back into playing because I missed the memories I made and the joy I got from roleplaying with friends. Before I took my break, I was on everyday for however long I could be on, fulfilling the roles I had at that time and doing my best to meet quotas then pushing myself to do even more past the quota because I genuinely enjoyed being on.
I now try to get on at least once a day for a few hours varying from 2 or more hours depending on if I have any goals during my time on. Since I am now back to square one when it comes to my placement in the server, I am usually on trying to increase my attributes or playing one of the many sports available with friends and partaking in clubs and events, hoping to interact with any of the other players. I also hope through this opportunity and many others I’m currently pursuing, I will find more of a reason to get on more frequently, opening up doors to more roleplay scenarios and do my part in creating a memorable experience for the players just as I once did before. I am available for most of the week apart from the hours that I am at work that I will be more than willing to make known if I were to be accepted. Any time that I will be gone for a noticeable amount of time, I will be sure to post an inactivity log or notify my higher-up.

What position are you applying for?:
I am applying for the Judge role.
What is your motivation for applying?:
I have always been interested in the government faction since the time it was officially inserted into the server, from seeing the trials that took place, and seeing the faction go through changes; becoming more and more developed over time. Watching from afar with the crowd of people, I was intrigued by how much organization, planning and adrenaline went into the trials. At the time, I was unable to apply because I was already a part of a faction and wanted to dedicate my time to that role. I can see myself being a long-term member of the faction as a Judge and want to make an impact on the server with the role I may be entrusted with.
In OOC means, I worked towards becoming a paralegal because even they have such a big impact when it comes to assisting lawyers and the fate of their clients; being able to do case research, preparing vital documents, and despite having a role that many don’t really think too deeply about, they are the backbones of lawyers and increase the chances of successfully helping their clients. I want to pursue my interest for law in the server as well and use my OOC goals to motivate me to commit to my role and create a realistic experience for the players the best I can.
I wanted to come back to SRP and take part in opportunities I couldn’t before so I wholeheartedly believe I will be able to dedicate my time to this role to fully develop my character and her position in the judicial system. I believe that my availability and roleplay experience will be beneficial in that I can be of help to both new and old players, understanding the struggle of not knowing what to do or how to do things on the server but as well being able to relate with the older players. I want to become a player and member that can be relied on to meet quotas and be there for the other government faction members if my role or me as my own individual is needed. I also have prior experience writing restraining orders in-game before it was changed to a task for the government faction and I am not a stranger to warrants and front desk work in general so I know I will be able to adapt quickly and efficiently.
Do you have an understanding of Karakura’s laws & Constitutional rights?:
I understand the articles written in the Constitutional rights and the laws that have been enforced and will continue to review them to make sure I stay knowledgeable. I will refer to them frequently, even after I come to know them by heart. I have past experience as a KPD member so remembering the law and offenses were very important and will carry on that importance for this role.
What are your goals for being in Government Faction?:
If I were to join the Government Faction, I’d work towards improving my activity and developing my character within the community. I hope to learn all there is about the Government faction and fulfill my role and tasks the best I can, only procuring the best results. I hope to create long lasting and memorable memories for the players I come to interact with whether it’s a day to day interaction or I am playing out my role as Judge in a trial or meeting. I will use my role to become someone anyone can message and rely on to get on to have paperwork officiated or marriages and if I’m not available I can refer them to someone who is and really do my best to help progress a player’s roleplay. Not only that, I hope I can be someone anyone can ask questions to whether it be government related or general, to be trusted by other factions like when KPD needs warrants, I hope I can help them out every time that I can because I know how it feels when warrants can’t be issued when it’s most needed, and just genuinely play out my role for the sake of the faction and community.
I see this as a chance for me to become more involved and knowledgeable on the law and governing side of SRP. To be able to experience a new type of roleplay gives me motivation to do my own research and seek out the experiences of the other judges to allow me more insight and knowledge on how I should go about developing my character and how she should progress as a government official. I intend to fully prepare my character and I for each trial and interaction, putting in the extra effort so that we’re both ready for anything that may come as an obstacle or challenge. When I was once part of the Shrine faction, there was so many things I didn’t know before I began getting into learning the lore that I hope if I were to become a judge, I will use my role to interest others in learning about the government that watches over them because there are just some things you won’t know until you’re part of it, at least the general things that can be shared to the public. All in all, I would just like to have fun with this opportunity while remembering the responsibilities it comes with and hopefully become a long-term member.
In your own words, describe the different roles of the Government Faction:
MAYOR
The Mayor is the overseer, they watch over not only the town/city they locate in but also the government and administration as a whole. They are typically voted into power by civilians because he or she is who the civilians want to represent them and hold the greatest power in the judicial system.
DEPUTY-MAYOR
The Deputy Mayor is right below the Mayor and sometimes has to step in as “acting mayor” to fulfill the Mayor’s duties while they are away. While the Mayor represents his or her people and was chosen by them, the Deputy Mayor is chosen by the Mayor and represents them at meetings or events. They work alongside the Mayor and other government officials to make decisions, pass on policies, and take over daily operations.
GOVERNOR
Governors, otherwise titled or serve as chief executive or chief of the state and their main goal is to protect the safety of the civilians, carrying out tasks such as shop inspections to make sure everything is up to health and safety standards. They are right below the Mayor and Deputy-Mayor and take a more hands-on approach when it comes to serving his people and the government, such as handling tasks regarding ID’s, officiating marriages, and conducting public opinions, gathering feedback.
LAWYER
Lawyers work one on one with their clients and have to be really involved with their clientele or else they will go in blind during trials or advisory periods and be unable to successfully support their client. They can not be biased or lead their clients to failure and have to provide legal advice to the best of their ability in order for both parties to make informed, logical decisions going forward. They also deal with on-call meetings for clients who are detained and process paperwork such as restraining orders.
JUDGE
Judges hold a lot of power when it comes to trials whether it’s giving instructions to juries or making a ruling in the absence of a jury. They maintain the peace and order in a courtroom and manage the flow of a case, calling witnesses, keeping attorneys and participants quiet, having them speak only when spoken to, and allowing or objecting information and requests given. Alongside managing court cases, they can as well issue warrants, process marriages and adoptions, and file restraining orders.
Do you acknowledge that upon being accepted you can be subject to removal at any given time?:
I acknowledge this but will make sure to keep up with my activity, quotas and be a role model player.
Have you read & agreed to follow the Government Faction rules?:
I have read through the Government Faction rules and agree with them. I will follow all OOC and IC rules, showing no bias, and will treat this role with responsibility.
