What are your current roles on the server?:
My main account (ImYakov) currently has a college basketball character and an adult character. My alternative account (Imightbeyakov) has a grade-12 character.

Why are Teachers so important to SchoolRP?:
Teachers are important to SRP because of the realism they bring to the server. They help create structure, guidance and meaningful interactions, much like any other faction. Without teachers, the school environment on SRP would feel empty and unorganised, making it harder for players and newer players in specific to stay engaged. Teachers also contribute heavily to immersion by acting as authority figures, enforcing rules, managing student behaviour, hosting classes and holding detentions. This creates a more enjoyable and believable roleplay experience for everyone involved. I understand this well from personal experience, having been a professor approximately 1,5 years before.

Do you acknowledge that if you are inactive you may lose your role?: Yes
Do you agree to undergo teacher training if your application is successful?: Yes

In-Character Section

What's your character's full name?: Yakov Sidorov
What is your character's nationality?: Christian
What is your preferred subject to teach?: Physical Education

Describe your character:
Yakov Sidorov is a Russian 27 year old man standing at 6'3, with a commanding presence that naturally draws others attention. His jawline is chiselled, accompanied with a sharp nose and often has a soft smile. He has dark hair that is neatly faded by the sides, and bangs that runs down framing his dark brown eyes, which often appear observant. Beneath his clothing, he has a clear well built physique, hinting his strength. Yakov carries a calm assurance, and rarely speaks more than necessary, but when he does, his deep Russian accent tone demands respect, Yakov is also composed, he is strategic and highly self aware, preferring to observe before acting. Despite his intimidating presence, there is a more soft and refined side of him. Behind him trails a fresh scent of flowers! Yakov is unique due to how contrast he is between his strength and his quiet elegance. He blends physical power with restraint and intelligence, making him quite intriguing, he is not driven by impulse, but by purpose.

Yakov is a simple man, he looks forward into the future and seeks to build a life of control and stability, possibly rising to a position of leadership just like he did during his years as a Professor at Karakura Highschool. He has always had heart for teaching, and wishes to continue doing so, he also seeks to settle down eventually, build a family!

What is your character's outlook on students and co-workers?:
Yakov believes most people are capable of far more than they show, but only if pushed beyond their comfort zones. Yakov isn't necessarily overly warm, nor openly critical, he rather observes, evaluates and intervenes only when necessary. To his students who demonstrate discipline and effort, he offers subtle respect and guidance. But for those who are careless or unmotivated, he can become distant, expecting them to rise to their standards, he is what many would call a true strict Physical Education teacher.

With his coworkers, Yakov maintains a professional and composed demeanour. He values competence above all else and has little tolerance for inefficiency or unnecessary chatter. While he is not unfriendly, he keeps others at a distance, revealing a little about himself. . Those who prove themselves reliable may find him to be a steady and supportive coworker.

What is your character's motivation for teaching?:
Yakov has always been driven by teaching, he spent years teaching college students as a professor and climbed the ranks up to Head of Department in Physical Education. Yakov has strong belief in structure, discipline and knowledge. For him, teaching is not simply a profession but a means of shaping capable individuals, people who can think clearly, act decisively and maintain control in uncertain situations. He sees potential as something that needs to be forged, not given. Yakov wants his influence to endure through those who carry his lessons forward.

Roleplay Scenarios

A student in class is struggling to understand the content, what would your character do?:
Yakov would first take the time to identify what exactly the student is having difficulty with. In this case due to my class being physical education, he would break down movements or exercises into more simpler steps and demonstrate more clearly. Yakov does not mind working with students individually by offering guidance and encouragement while in class, he adapts the class to better suit students ability so they can build confidence before progressing further. Additionally, Yakov ensures that students feels supported rather than singled out, he maintains a positive and respectful environment. The goal is to help them improve while keeping them engaged and motivated to participate.

A student is continuously being disruptive in class, talking out of turn, and making jokes with classmates. What would your character do?:
Yakov would call out their name and mention the disruption they are causing in the class, and give them a simple warning to stop and focus on class, otherwise be kicked from the class. Yakov believes heavily on structured classes to ensure each and every player in class is having an immersed experience rather than a chaotic one.

Provide at least 2 interactive class ideas related to your preferred subject:
My first interactive class idea is a field trip down to the beach, where students and Yakov will spend the day participating in physical activities such as relay races, volleyball and other team based challenges. Students will be divided into teams and compete in different games, encouraging teamwork, communication and leadership. I believe this type of class keeps everyone active while also making my physical education class enjoyable and engaging. It should also give students an opportunity to socialise with others.

My second interactive class idea is a partnered dance class, such as tango. In this lesson my students will be paired up and taught basic steps, posture and coordination. A class like this will help improve peoples roleplay abilities and confidence while also having an engaged and enjoyable time. To make it even more interactive, my students will practice routines and perform them in front of the class with someone or a group, this adds a little variety to physical ed and gives players a different way to stay active outside of the traditional sports we have on SRP.
