I am aware that any inactivity can result in removal from the Student Council TRIVIA QUESTIONS What is the student council and what do they do?: The student council is two groups of [Councillors] who help faculty with punishment and maintaining control, as well as patrolling the school and occasionally serving as supervisors for clubs! They help with school matters as much as they can! What motivated you to apply for council? (e.g. Interests, friends, etc.): I’ve always been slightly interested in student council, even before I became faculty for the first time. Though when I first applied, I wasn’t very knowledgeable about the faction, and I’ve worked to learn as much as I could! There are people within the council that I know, and I just know that it is a welcoming/kind community! Are you aware that you’ll be having to use your creativity and teamwork ethic within the student council? (e.g. Coming up and helping with events): Yes! I am fully willing to withhold this! Can you list the roles in the council along with other roles that might be important to the council?: [SLT] [FACULTY] [Vice-President] [President] [College][Councillor] [Highschool][Councillor] [CLUB] Supervisor [Trainer] IC SECTION SCENARIOS While students gather for a school assembly, one student behaves disruptively, causing a disturbance. How would you manage the situation to restore order effectively while minimizing any additional disruptions to the assembly? “If a student were causing a disturbance, I would ask them to quiet down. Now, if they didn’t, I would have to warn them that further disturbance would result in a detention slip. If they continued to disrupt the assembly, I would give them the detention I had threatened prior. And If proceeded, I would have to get SLT involved, which isn’t the goal of my time as a councillor. I hope it won't have to come to that.” A student refuses to take their mask off after you’ve brought up detention, and they’ve run away! What do you do? “Well, if detention was already aforementioned, and I didn’t know the student’s identity, due to the mask their wearing, I would make faculty, other councillors, and SLT aware, so that we could all look out for a masked individual, and try to escort them off grounds, or hand them a detention.. If possible.” A teacher observes concerning behavior from a student, including the creation of disturbing artwork and verbal threats toward peers. How would you collaborate with the teacher to evaluate the situation and intervene appropriately to address potential safety concerns? “I would speak with the teacher to see how they wish to approach this, while asking the student if they would be willing to speak privately, likely in the hallway.. Basically allowing the teacher to run point (Unless they wish for me to.) and helping in any way/method that I possibly can!” A group of students asks for your permission to stage a protest on school grounds. Would you allow them to protest? If so, how do you ensure that the protest does not disrupt the school environment while upholding their freedom of expression? “Yes! Because I feel that protests should be allowed, though I would make sure to set some ground rules, like nothing violent! If anything becomes violent in any way, i will be forced to shut down the protest and hand out detentions to anyone who was involved in the violence. There’s also a language barrier, though with this, if language became too foul, then they would be given three warnings before I'm forced to shut down the protest!” A teacher/receptionist has told you that you are doing something that goes against what you were trained by your higher-ups. How would you react to this? “I would look at them, give them a small question.. Most likely along the lines of “Well, is there a way I could better this?” and if they give a solid answer, I would work my best towards fixing this issue.. Giving myself the push required to be the best councillor that I can be.” Please provide at least one detailed event that the council can use as a future event to showcase your creativity! (Must be 300 words or more for one event): “An event that I would plan? Hmm.. good question! Council Santa: This would be something that would form from the result of a double-sided event, one of which is a Secret Santa within the council! With each high school member taking a name from the college council, and each college councillor taking one of the high schoolers' names! Creating a Secret Santa between both sections of the student council.. We want the bond between councillors to be strong! So with this secret Santa would come a party, most likely, cookies, warmth by the fire.. laughing with friends! and more.. Now for the second portion of this 'Event' it would be a council-hosted party for the entirety of Karakura High School/college! This would allow the members of each school to all come together, it would just be an enjoyable party, ugly sweaters, laughing with your friends, making new friends, cutting that firm line that's usually held between the Spartans and the Bobcats, There should always be at least a small bond within the school, no point in hating on those that you still go to the same school as! because you are BOUND to run into each other. This event would have an ugly sweater contest! where people who are wearing ugly sweaters can sign up to run in a contest to see who has the worst sweater, just a small friendly. competition! This could also include a small obstacle course/sports team ran booths, where the members of sports teams can run small events for the mass of students to particpate in, maybe something like a relay race, or a full on military obstacle course, parkour, timed laps, anything that may be of the sorts, my biggest thing when it comes to school events is invovlement, It should be welcoming to all people witin the school, faculty, bobcats, spartans, sports members, councillors and all the likes.” Personal Information (in character) Name: “Well, my name is Asterin Baek! So i guess it depends on the person, and how they see me..” Appearance/attire (Please provide a picture): ![]() What separates you from other applicants seeking your position? “Well, if I had to choose what separates me from others, is that I’ve been in school leadership positions for a while, I was a councillor at my old school, I even eventually made vice-president there, I have experience, and the willingness to learn new things, have experiences, and work towards bettering myself.” Why do you want this position?: “I want this position because I truly enjoy being within a student council. Speaking to students, helping people through troubling times, and being there to help relieve any stress that faculty may have! I just wish to help out with anything I can, and the Student Council of Karakura is the next step towards that.” What interests you the most about the student council?: “What interests me most is the ability to help faculty, and relieve stress from them, but a close second would have to be the fact that they have interesting people, kind, and all have their own personality, no matter how odd, or themselves that is..” What could you contribute to make the school a safe and fun environment? “I could contribute the willingness to listen to students, rather than just handing out detentions, and being strict to them, reasoning behind things like this is important, so unless it’s assault, there should always be time to hear them out, before just giving punishments and threats.” |
