What experiences do you have with roleplay?:

I've played SRP for more than a "couple" of years, engaging in a variety of things. For starters I've had a long career of sorts when it comes to CrimeRP, I'm a Bounty Hunter, Fight Club fighter, and retired(ish) Gang-Roleplay. . .er? Aside from that which i feel can be taken either positively or negatively, I was also an professor for near a year. Though not as active as i would have liked to be at the time due to me being in school at that time. Currently I have nothing conflicting with my activity in the server or factions as a whole aside from typical life. All in all however, I just enjoy DetailRP in any aspect. I've been intending to branch out and experience as many factions and types of Roleplay as possible, but thats something found rather difficult what with longevity and blah blah blah. When it comes to things in SRP that aren't faction related I often times find myself wandering into entertaining situations that result in me staying up till like 5AM DetailRPing. . . . It's like a curse. While I can't say i have the reputation to back up my activity and investments into SRP I can say definitely that it's something i enjoy and find pleasure in. I've also had a family server, though it hasn't truly been active in a while. It's been something I've taken a lot of pleasure from.

That being to say in short my experiences on the server alone. Outside of minecraft I've been a (relatively) lovely D&D player for about 8ish years now. Though I'm a basic . . . yknow. . . and typically stick to haha silly Human, I've enjoyed the opportunities to build a character and attempt to progress them through the story and whatever that specific world has to offer. Despite my simplistic defaults I always end up with some really wacky character that manages to fit perfectly into the setting of the next chronological campaign.

To top things off, though it's dependent on your perspective on the subject, I've also been a voice impressionist and actor for (VERY) small projects, dating back years. There's not too much to yap about as filler in this section except this very forced addition except the fact I was also in theatre and acted in it for a little bit (Even getting the opportunity to meet and get Chris Pratt's autograph.)

What is your motivation for applying?

Well long sob story aside, I was in the military for a very short amount of time and got discharged medically for my health. I was intending to serve as an helicopter mechanic/Pararescue trooper but obviously got cut short. Before hand I got CPR and First Aid certified by the local Fire Department and took multiple classes in college ranging from Forensic Science to General studies healthcare. I feel this is a good opportunity for me to expand and see in a controlled non-real environment if i would like to continue my studies now that I'm home or if i would like to broaden my horizons into other walks of life. While being processed out i was rather inspired by my fellow "Wingmen" and found myself being the Chaplain in medical-holdover. How that correlates to this however is simple, as the barracks chaplain i felt responsible for checking up on everyone and maintaining good morale. I felt overjoyed when I got to have in depth conversations about mentality, the emotional state, and etc.
(this will sound very similar to the character i am applying with because i feel it's a good healthy means of therapy)
As a Psychiatrist, even if its in a fictional roleplay world. . I feel the same emotions because despite it being only a work of fiction many people use it as a outlet to vent real world emotions, feelings, and worldly concerns. Of course I encourage they seek real world solutions. But, knowing this i still feel a sense of duty in helping other people. Regardless of it being OOCLY or ICLY. Atop this I love to interact and make new friends and connections. It's kinda what I do. In fact it was two Psychiatrists who helped me out while i was away, assuring me of things and dedicating time to my health. It was something I cannot be thankful enough for.

Aside from the direct OOC reasons, I want to solidify myself in the SRP world in some way. Find a place that intrigues me and captivates me. That's it quite simple.

Which role are you applying for?

Psychiatrist

What knowledge do you have of the roles within the Hospital Faction?

I'll do my best to simplify these for both YOUR and my own sake.

Psychiatrists-
The duty of a psychiatrist is to assist with/Diagnose both mental and physical ailments that are a little below the grade of what requires a Doctor and such. They may offer Counseling to ailed patients, and in some cases prescribe medication and the like. Evaluate and diagnose mental disorders.

Paramedics-
"My hero" The job of a paramedic is to arrive on scene to any situations taken place outside of the hospital. Rushing in the ambulance to rescue any injured persons like knights in shining. . . uh. . . blue. . . They may often be used to stabilize any off put and afflicted people on scene. If the situation calls for it they may perform First Aid and CPR (If applicable.)

Doctors-
A doctor (though varied) treat and often times diagnose patients for any physical injuries. Engaging in physical maintenance and care, Surgeries, and etc. Their duties are quite a bit more varied.

Vet-
Cmon now. I don't even want to attempt to yap here. They help injured animals. That's that. . .

Pharmacy peeps-
They're the OG's who go into the little storage area and bring back whatever a patient requires (Assuming they have a prescription.) And bring it back to the desk in a timely manner. Band-Aids, crutches, all that good stuff.

Do you acknowledge that if training is held whilst you are online, you are expected to attend or you will be punished?

Fo' Shizzle Original Gangsta.

Character Backstory (Optional):

Sawada Sukehiro, Born November 7th, In Shirakawa-go, Japan.
His early youth was marked by a near-timeless rhythm, traditionalistic wooden homes, rocky soiled paths, thatched roofs, and the perfect image of a "boy from nowhere." A healthy environment in which he was taken care of by equally healthy parents, family, and friends.
At the age of 7, days before Christmas, his mother passed away as a result of brain cancer. Overcome by grief and a sense of responsibility for his son, Sawada's father accepted an Honorable discharge from the military and moved him and Sawada to Kamakura. All to enter a new environment which his father thought would be constructive in their grief. The sudden shift was, however, counterproductive to his mental health and resulted in Sawada developing antisocial tendencies. A meek and shy young boy, Sawada found it increasingly difficult to adapt to the slightly larger town.
But time, as it always does, moved forward. He carried his quietness with him through the years like a second skin, by the time high school came around he'd grown into a polite and respectful yet soft-spoken young man. Teachers often labeled him as a talent that was going to waste because of his social ineptness. However, his silence wasn’t weakness; it was discipline. He never lashed out, never rebelled. He watched people carefully, learned their patterns, and became acutely aware of how to move without disturbing the space around him. This pattern continued till finally his graduation came. Something had shifted in him suddenly.
Perhaps it was age. Perhaps it was the realization that his grief hadn't gone away, but had receded to a slow burn. Or possibly it was the discovery of an old photograph, his father in uniform, at attention, proud and serene. Sawada had always envied his father's stoicism, even if he did not always understand it as a child. Now older, wiser, he came to realize the burden that underlay that position, the fortitude it takes to live, not for one's self, but for another.
But not in little Kamakura.
He felt a strong pull towards the American military, maybe it was due to the mass propaganda he saw in the media, their ads, and the local naval bases that were posted across Japan by the United States. Through trial and error, a long process that took over a year, he eventually got the opportunity he was seeking. Joining the U.S. Marines.
He tried. God, he tried.
But a year of mental walls and bruised pride culminated in a single, explosive moment, an altercation with a superior officer that ended in a fight, ultimately ending his harsh trials. He wasn’t arrested, but the mark was made. Discharged. Just like that. . .
It was humiliating.
For the first time since high school, he had felt lost again, unable to cope with the ineptness of himself. Night after night he twisted and turned, feeling guilt over what he had done because all he had known was that this one, this one simple path, was where he belonged. And yet he found himself unable once more.
Months passed and once more he found himself in the recruitment offices, though this time not for the Marines. Instead, he enlisted in the Air Force. How odd. The difference this time, however, was that he succeeded in completing his training and pressed on into active service as a Pararescue trooper. The Air Forces elite. During his time in the PJs, he spent his freedom studying and taking medical classes online. After all, it would only further his pay and ability as a PJ. . .
[End of what I feel like telling you because RAHH]
As time went on he finally retired. Returning to Japan after his experiences and renouncing the American Citizenship he was granted upon joining. Perhaps something had happened that made him despise the great force.

SECTION 2: MEDICAL HISTORY
What is your character’s medical speciality? Why did they choose this focus?

Psychiatry. During his time in the service he found himself interacting with and handling many situations and people that had or induced PTSD, Anxiety, and similar mental disorders and diagnosis. It compelled him to search for ways to assist and help, maybe it was a subconcious action that took place because he hoped someone would do similar for him and assist him in his mental endeavors. Regardless the overwhelming sense of duty he felt for helping others pressed forward.

Does your character have any work experience in medical positions?

His work as a PJ specifically pushed experience. Pararescue troopers, or PJs, are special airmen in the U.S. Air Force whose job is to rescue and administer medical treatment to personnel in distres, often in the worst and most inaccessible locations on earth. Their operations range from rescuing downed pilots behind enemy lines to rescuing wounded soldiers in hostile combat zones, and offering assistance in natural disasters and human crises around the world. The elite operators are not only skilled medics capable of performing life-saving procedures in hostile environments, but they are also trained in a variety of advanced insertion and extraction methods, including HALO (High Altitude Low Opening) parachuting, combat diving, helicopter fast-roping, and traveling from location to location on foot through hostile terrain.
Not to mention his medical studies while in service.

SECTION 3: CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE
Describe your character; how do they look, what makes them unique? How would they be perceived by others?

At the age of 34, Sawada Sukehiro has a weathered and friendly face, tempered by years of body conditioning and a life of understated strength. He stands at about 5'11", his lean, muscular physique moving smoothly with the fluidity of one who is used to movement, but his demeanor is laid-back and down-to-earth. (RAH) His face, sharp cheekbones and firm but gentle jawline, has the marks of experience, soft lines around the eyes and a small scar above the left eyebrow. His lips fall into a neutral smile, though his occasional one is warm and inviting. His dark brown eyes, deep and thoughtful, have quiet intensity and generosity, always observing but never judging

To others, at a glance he would look like a man of kindness and wisdom. An Uncle Iroh type of guy. Always wearing somewhat of a polite, soft smile on his face to promote neutral reactions when in conversation with others. One of his favorite side subjects to study being psychology, which he factors into his body language so that he can better convey his willingness to help his patients and fellow man.

How does your character act around the hospital?

Being the kind of person Sawada is, he does his best to upkeep any morale inside of the hospital when he finds it lacking on the day to day. Often times offering jokes that make him sound 10x older than he really is, at his own expense knowingly. A happy and diligent worker that comes with a pinch of sass, because you cannot have structure without a little fun. He may ask co-workers out for a drink or lunch in a friendly way, understanding that sometimes its best to get fresh air when cooped up inside a building with blinding white lights and that recognizable hospital esq air. His deep love for all people being consistently noticable in his everyday actions, he can be a bit annoying though when he misunderstands someone. (Believing them to be sad when they're not he'd go out of his way to cheer them up.)

Does your character function better on their own or with others?

In his youth he would have prefered being left to himself, a habit that has been carried into his adult life. Though despite this he still finds social interactions equally valuable and intends to find a happy balance between "Me" time and "Us" time. When working with a team or even another person, all goes smoothly assuming the other person can tolerate his elderly humor and dad jokes. With his lifes experiences he's become an easily adaptable person, willing to learn and change in order to make others in his vicinity comfortable no matter what.
