What is your In-Game-Name (IGN)? Please include ALL your alternative accounts:
I do not posses any alternate accounts, simply my main! Which is GrassBlock356.

Do you have Discord and a microphone? If so, what is your username?:
Yes, my discord is __dreamy_ and yes! I have a fully functioning microphone.

List your timezone and country:
EST / US

Describe your activity:
I would describe my activity as heavily active. I am able to get on SRP whenever need be, however my typical hours range from 5-6PM to 12-1AM. During this time period, I tend to play a variety of characters all of which I have owned for quite some time now. Outside of SRP itself, I tend to eye the forums and keep up to date with the latest and upcoming events via the Discord servers! I have been an avid player of SRP for a year and counting.

Link any significant applications (e.g., Roles/Teams, exclude languages):
- Librarian Application (Ongoing)

What is your motivation to apply for reporter?:
My motivation to apply for reporter mainly stems from the fact of, well, I would love to do more around SRP! Joining a faction would be one of the many ways I could achieve this. Along with becoming a better writer overall and delving myself further into the community. However, my desire to apply for reporter specifically stems from it being one of my preferred out of all the other factions, aside from school faculty of course. Reporter would give me the opportunity to connect more around SRP, and do one of my main hobby's, which is writing. Not just this, but I have always enjoyed the creativity that goes into each Karakura news report, big or small. Be it the art, photos used, the writing! I would be honored to be able to place myself amongst these creative individuals and delve further into Karakura's history, and, as saidconnect more with others.

Do you have any experience with writing? What is your relationship with writing?:
My relationship with writing is very positive. I have been writing for some years now, and whilst I would not call my writing as heavily literate, has it always proved one of my passions for about eight and more so years now. I enjoy the thought that goes into every sentence or metaphor, to the complex writing when it comes to characters! I have always aspired to craft my own novel, and whilst that venture may not be something that is achievable for me at this moment in timeI strive to better my writing day by day. If I were to be chosen for the role of reporter, it would certainly not be an issue for me to make craft reports that would catch the eye of players.

Are you aware of - and will follow - the set of rules provided to you?:
I am familiar, and shall familiarize myself further where need be with the rules applied to me. I will carry out, and follow each rule as they are intended to be.

Why should we accept you over others?:
I do not believe I am "better" than any other applicants along this list. I would even say that there are much more literate and experienced writers than I. Although, if there is one thing about me, is that I am continuously making efforts to better my writing. Along with this, I hold a steadfast determination for whatever task is put in front of me. I see a goal, and I will go out of my way to achieve such. If I must write three reports in a day, no problem! Give me a cup of coffee, a keyboard, and I'll be on my way. I also believe that my love and appreciation that goes into the faction is something to eye. After all, what better than to do something that you enjoy?

Do you understand you have to stay completely neutral with all reports? (Your report can't have any OOC or IC bias towards a specific group.):
Why of course! Naturally, news reports are to stay factual and be unbiased in the first place. It would be a disservice to the faction if I were to withhold any sort of bias within my reports. I acknowledge that every report shall stay neutral, OOC or ICly. I will deliver nothing but the facts.

Do you trust that you will be able to stay active and complete the monthly quota?:
With my overall love for SRP and how active I tend to be, I fully trust that I will be able to make monthly quota no issue! Combined with my love for writing as well, you will certainly be able to see me online on the daily. Be it looking for the next story, or well on my way to finishing one!

Summarize what you imagine work as a reporter is:
I imagine work as a reporter is to anticipate what the very word entailsto report! I believe the work of a reporter would involve being in the "know-how". Ensuring that you are always in the loop, and keeping up to date with the latest news. To prove that you are a trust-worthy source of information and to essentially always be on the move. I also believe it is important for a reporter to be charismatic, or at the minimum, get along with those they interact with. After all, it would surely be difficult to get a good scoop if the interviewee is glaring daggers at you the whole time!

[!] A rather lanky, and lean built man entered the meeting room. The atmosphere around him exuding nothing less, but professional. A stern expression laced across his features— he offered a ninety-degree bow, before placing himself down. Along with such, would a manilla folder be placed down in front of him as well.

Treat this section like it is your own character answering it

Full Name:
A mid-toned and rather curt sounding voice spoke its name clearly— introducing himself.
"My full name is Amaryllis Kida."
Screenshot 2025-03-30 053351.png

Preferred Name/Nickname and Title (e.g., Ms, Mr):
"Mr. will do just fine, thank you."
Amaryllis replied. Perking a slight eyebrow initially towards the interviewer as though it wasn't obvious. Yet naturally, he didn't voice such thoughts.

Current Age (25+):
"I will be.. twenty-five as of this year."
Amaryllis smoothed over his skirt carefully. Before, placing his hands onto his lap, interlocking.
"I understand that I qualify just barely for the position. However that does not reflect on my experience."

Past job/work experience:
"Well—" The man began. "This would be my first 'proper' job out in the field. I have performed various odd jobs here or there of course. Be it stocking shelves at a grocer, or writing one or so articles for a local paper."

Degree/qualifications:
Amaryllis straightened himself. Not as though he were slouching in the first place, nonetheless, did he list his academic accomplishments.
"I have a degree in Library Science, and minors in the field of Philosophy and literature."

Nationality and born location:
"I am born natively here, in Japan, as I am Japanese."
There would be a slight pause, the brief silence soon being provided by
"To.. be specific however, I was raised outside of Karakura, in Osaka."

Phone Number:
As though prepared for this question, did the lean figure open the manilla folder. Taking out a rectangular, black business card. Etched in silver was the name 'Amaryllis Kida'.
'For business matters, please call (030)-539-5808'
The design was sleek, neat. It was then handed to the interviewer with a nod.

"Feel free to contact me at that number any time."

How would you describe yourself in under 150 words?:
Took his time with the question. Answering slowly. "Well, I believe myself to be someone with.. strong morals and values. I hold importance to what matters most to me, and conduct myself strongly to align with my personal ethics." Another brief pause, before continuing. "Some may describe me as someone who is 'heavily strict', although I personally disagree. I simply hold myself in a high regard, and understand how much my time is worth. And, how to handle and deal with said time. I always put my foot forwards, and I don't let myself stay too stuck in the past." Internally, Amaryllis keep track of each word. Ninety-two in total, good.

What are you interested in writing about? How will you achieve this, and would you consider going out of your comfort zone?:
"I am interested in writing about various topics, starting with the citizens of Karakura. The people have questions they deserve answers to. I would go out of my way to interview those, even if slightly out of my comfort zone. Questioning important figures, to gather the truth and for the peoples voices to be heard. I understand that may sound self-righteous, although I believe a reporters job is to always give answers to those who can't speak up to ask. And if I may have to go out of my comfort zone to do such, so be it."

What are your expectations for the job?:
"What I expect?" He echoed back. Pondering over the question for giving his answer.
"Well, if that is to say.. what I hope to gain out of my experience working hereto be fairly clear, I have always been much more of a reader than a writer. Although both mediums I appreciate, I have always pondered the chance of being able to write for myself. And, in light of my plans I had originally set for myself.. going awry. Although that is simply how life goes, its unexpected after all I aim to show to the masses whilst unbiased, the truth. My role as not only a writer, but a reporter, is to enlighten the people. There are too many of those who go misinformed, or who's stories go unheard. I want to change that."

Do you have a criminal record? If so, list the crimes below:
Exhaling quietly as though the notion itself was absurd, Amaryllis offered his curt answer.
"Of course not. I'm not stupid enough to do what.. many of these kids these days are doing. Thankfully, I was raised much better than that. So in short, no, I do not have a criminal record."

Fluent Languages (Underline your native):
"The.. only language I am exactly fluent in, is my native, Japanese."

PROMPTS:
#1 - General report. Report about a topic, informing players about an event or significant issues to Karakura.

Page 1 News Report Resized.pngPage 2 News Report Resized.pngInterview (1).png

#2 - Interview. It's important to have well-rounded questions. Create your own interview with ten questions or more. And answer them yourself.

[!] The recording began with a small click of the tape recorder. Soon followed by some slight shuffling as it was placed down into the center of the table that separated Amaryllis from the priest in front of him. Some may call the equipment shabby, yet it got the job done. Straight to the point, as always for this wannabe reporter. The faint shuffling of papers rang out through the space, the Priest being the first to speak up.
-- Interview --
[NIGIRI SHUSHIMI]
"What is it you would like to know?"
[AMARYLLIS KIDA]
"Well first, I would like to thank you for allowing me to conduct this interview. Starting off with some formalities here - Amaryllis Kida, on the scene at the Shinsei Seinaru Monastery. I will be asking you some simple questions, nothing too complex. Will that be alright?"
[NIGIRI SHUSHIMI]
A small chuckle rung out before the Priest gave his reply
"Of course. Go ahead."

[!] Amaryllis took a moment to gather the first round of questions, clearing his throat.
[AMARYLLIS KIDA]
"Alright then, for the citizens of Karakura, can you introduce yourself?"
[NIGIRI SHUSHIMI]
"I am Nigiri Shushimi. Currently a trainee Priest of the Shinsei Seinaru Monastery, or well, the Shrine."
[AMARYLLIS KIDA]
"And.. Shushimi, what exactly is the role of a Priest here at the shrine?"
[NIGIRI SHUSHIMI]
"Well as a Priest it is typical that my responsibilities are one of great importance. We are also known as Shinkans. We are the messengers between the sacred and the human realm. We lead and perform all sorts of rituals and recite noritos for not just the shrine but also guests."

[AMARYLLIS KIDA]
"I see. It sounds very complex.. I am sure it is a lot you tend to tackle in a day. To follow up on the rituals you mentioned.. What are some of the typical rituals you take part of?"

[NIGIRI SHUSHIMI]
"Unfortunately as a trainee I haven't done much or any rituals at all but I have been informed and taught well by the fellow Priests on some. Such as Harae, Jinchinsai and Misogi."
[AMARYLLIS KIDA]
"Right. Then perhaps instead you could shed some light on some common misconceptions regarding Shintoism?"
[NIGIRI SHUSHIMI]
"Some misconceptions....hmm I guess in a way Shintoism isn't as strict as it would seem. It has a lot of forgiving compared to other religions."
[AMARYLLIS KIDA]
"Is that right? And, may I ask, what led you to devote yourself heavily to Shintoism in the first place? If, any particular reason at all."

[NIGIRI SHUSHIMI]
"I guess for me. I've always been curious about it when I was young and, well, given the chance to become a priest and ditch my office job behind. I took it. It's the indigenous religion of Japan so connecting with our past is incredibly appealing."

[AMARYLLIS KIDA]
"Well then coming from a priest and someone so devout, would you suggest for others to look more into Shintoism as well?"
[NIGIRI SHUSHIMI]
"In all honestly, Shintoism is already heavily cemented into Japanese Culture. Some people don't even realize. It is their choice if they truly want to delve into Shintoism and learn about it. My family was never one that heavily did the practice of Shintoism aside from me."
[AMARYLLIS KIDA]
"Yes, I entirely agree.."
The sound of scribbling took place.
"Now, straying into our next topic here.. this is relative to spirits in question." A brief pause to clear his throat. "Excuse me- now, Karakura is no stranger to the paranormal. Yet what are your thoughts with the almost concerning amount of rising activity dating all the way back from last October?"

[NIGIRI SHUSHIMI]
"Unfortunately as a new Priest I don't know much about the Spirit activities during last year October. But I can say that it is typically October is when spirits are more able to run wild. Things have changed since that October according to Ying, a fellow shrine member and Maiden. It has gotten more spiritually dangerous and apparently last year a former maiden here passed due to a spirit in which I do not think I have the right to speak more about. My thoughts are it is concerning and I hope everyone stays safe during these times."
[AMARYLLIS KIDA]
"As do I. May that former maiden rest soundly.."

[!] A brief period of silence was offered for the somber moment. Lasting for around a minute or so, before the interviewer spoke up once more.

[AMARYLLIS KIDA]
"Do you personally believe that.. due to such rising danger, its best for the business of spirits to be left to the Monastery? There are those after all who actively seek out encounters with these apparitions."

[NIGIRI SHUSHIMI]
"Dealing with Spirits are tricky. There will always be at least one individual that wants to sought out after spirits for whatever reasons. I would always recommend heavily against it but I have no power to control their actions. Though it is always likely that the spirit would seek out the individual. We are not able to control the spirit's behaviors and how they act. When or if they appear. We can only prepare for the worst."

[AMARYLLIS KIDA]
"Yes, we can only hope that no more incidents arise.. or that no one gets caught in the crossfire.

[!] A slight shuffling of papers.

[AMARYLLIS KIDA]
"Well, we're down to our last two questions here. To route back around to our earlier topic, is there any advice you'd give to those aspiring to delve more into Shintoism? Or even aspire to become a maiden, or priest much like yourselves?"

[NIGIRI SHUSHIMI]
"Simple! Just study it. It's your choice, there are plenty of information on Shintoism albeit online or through books. Not just that we are also wiling to talk and teach everyone about Shintoism. But some tips on wanting to perhaps get into the Monastery as a priest or maiden is. Be respectful to everyone, try your best to remain pure, like lashing out at someone is impure which reflects badly on yourself, others and the monastery, keep your judgement clear no matter who the person is. Just overall respect for everyone is probably the better way to put it. If you have negative emotions there isn't a need to of course bottle it up. Find ways to express it and let it out through ways that others are not hurt by it. Meditation, praying or spar!"
[!] The sound of faint scribbling occupied the space as the Priest spoke. A soft hum following shortly after.
[AMARYLLIS KIDA]
"You have heard it all here then listeners. Now Shushimi, Is there anything else you would like to add on here? Closing remarks, extra pieces of advice, so on."

[NIGIRI SHUSHIMI]
"Be kind and respectful with everyone, even when outside of the shrine. It'll keep you safer and possibly happier. Oh and feel free to visit the Monastery!"
[AMARYLLIS KIDA]
"Yes, even for those who aren't the religious sort, I believe everyone can find a peace of mind at the Monastery."

[!] The sound of slight shuffling then followed the ending statement. A distant "Thank you" being caught before— the recording ended. Nothing but silence following.
