✎•• Describe your activity on the server:

I've been part of SchoolRP for roughly a year and a half. Despite balancing college and a flexible job, I'm only pretty much everyday. SchoolRP has become part of my daily routine. It's a space where I explore character writing, emotional development and social dynamics. I see myself continuing in the future that way. With summer vacation now, my schedule has opened up. While that does mean more game time, I also love real life. I will probably work more and spend more times with friends that I wasn't able to do before with school in the way. I firmly believe in a healthy balance between IRL and SchoolRP. Even so, activity will remain as strong as ever.

SCHOOL SCHEDULE
MondayTuesdayWednesdayThursdayFridaySaturdaySunday
9 AM - 1 AM3 PM - 10 PM2 PM - 10 PM2 PM - 10 PM9 AM - 1 AM9 AM - 1 AM9 AM - 1 AM

VACATION SCHEDULE
MondayTuesdayWednesdayThursdayFridaySaturdaySunday
9 AM - 1 AM9 AM - 1 AM9 AM - 1 AM9 AM - 1 AM9 AM - 1 AM9 AM - 1 AM9 AM - 1 AM
I have zero hour contract with my job, which it means they ask me to come in whenever. It's most often on fridays, but it can differ.

CLUBS
I'm currently part of the Gardening club. The only issue is my timezone, it's quite difficult for me to attend meetings or participate with other members. Even so, I still try to keep myself involved do stuff on my own by doing solo tasks. I still follow watering logs and do tasks independently. I try to engage in any way and hope to be able to interact with some members, which has been a great difficulty. I hope in the future it will become more easy to interact with members. A true loss of being an European.

I've been part of the Occult Club only as an applicant. It didn't last long, due to it not fitting any of my characters and their development. However, I still attend meetings here and there and maintain most of my friendships with many members. It's a place where I keep seeing myself return, both IC and OOC in discord. Even if I'm not officially involved.

Criminal RP
I'm officially part of a gang on SchoolRP, but my approach to criminalRP is more narrative, rather than mechanic focused. I do not particularly enjoy or am active in combat or rolling scenes. I prefer P2L over rolling, where it more focuses on consequences, realism and emotional tension. I've been very active on that part, I often get involved with delinquent life or Yakuza. To explore more complexity, failure and growth through structured roleplay. Even with all this, I don't do criminalRP as much as I used to.

EMS
EMS... it has been and still is my favourite faction, for now. It gave me such a new and fresh perspective on the server, both in the way I roleplay and in how I interact with the wider community. I was surprised when I first applied that I actually got accepted. I've grown there as both a roleplayer and a team player. I learnt how to work under pressure, communicate clearly, follow protocols.. and how to break them. This pushed me to improve my detailRP and since then I started taking more initiative in IC situations. Ever since I got accepted I've been trying to be as active as possible within the faction. I've made many new friends, which gave me another reason to come online.

Build Team
I recently joined the Build Team, I'm still settling in, but I've genuinely enjoyed the experience so far. Waiting for my chance to build trees or make excuses at events to create tress. I've been involved with already a lot of events and I hope I can continue contributing. I've learned new tricks and strategies for making things for a deadline.

Overall, I would describe myself as consistently active and well rounded player. I enjoy every and have tried almost every aspect of SRP that I was able to do with the recourses I have. I've explored the server through lenses: club member, ems, criminal, builder and just someone who enjoys interacting with others. I've had a lot of chances to create stories.

APPLICATION INFORMATION

✎•• What position are you applying for?:

Governor

✎•• What is your motivation for applying?:

My motivation for applying for the Government faction comes from an interest of exploring SRP through a new and a refreshing perspective. Something to keep me actively engaged with the community, but shifting to a new tone and pace of roleplaying. Having now spent almost half a year in EMS, I've grown familiar with high pressure and stressful environments. While I enjoy the amount of responsibility and challenge that comes from within that role. I'm looking for a new and more structured faction, that mostly allows for calmer more deliberate actions. It's something I think the Government faction can offer.Things that draw me to the faction is able to blend formal and civic roleplay. It offers a professional environment where character presentation and thoughtful communication matters, mostly in trials, that's something I really enjoy. I want something more than fast paced actions.

Another reason is that this is a faction that I haven't engaged directly a lot in the past, but I'm starting to approach it more. I've seen the work from distance like some trials and ID interaction. I want to experience more of the inner workings or contribute to it personally. Applying allows me to dive even deeper into SRP and see another side of the faction.

A more personal reason. I've developed more of an interest in law in real life. It's not a full passion of mine, but it's something I've started to enjoy more. The faction will allow me to engage with the theme in a more different way, than just watching movies and series. I'm especially drawn to the Governor position because it provides a clear role within the courtroom, without the need to be the centre of every trial. I enjoy the more observational and supportive side I also value connections and consistency. I've made plenty of strong friendships through the EMS faction and I see the faction as another opportunity to form new connections and develop different characters.

✎•• Do you have an understanding of Karakura’s laws & Constitutional rights?:

Yes, I have an understanding of Karakura's laws & Constitutional rights.

✎•• What are your goals for being in Government Faction?:

LEARN
I've been more curious about the legal and political system within SRP. I want to understand more about law and how trials are run from the inside. I want to learn how decisions are made and how things affect RP environments. I've only seen this from the outside and I want to participate in it directly. I want to use my curiosity and use it to learn that benefits me IRL and for my characters.

EXPERIENCE THE NEW
I want to explore new and different sides of SRP. I want to experience more structured and professional world of the Government faction. I'm excited to explore scenes that rely on order, dialogue and formality, not one that relies on urgency. The faction gives me more opportunities to interact thoughtfully and see a new refreshing change. This is also a perfect setting to continue the arc of Jikō Suirenji. My goal is to make his story more finished and I want to give him another chapter. Reviving within this faction allows for me to develop him so much more. I want to create new relationships and friendships through this faction. I want to establish his background in a more meaningful way.

COMMUNITY
Outside of the hospital and school walls there is so much I haven't done on SRP yet. I've never immersed myself in different factions other than EMS. My goal is to create more connections within the faction and with the players that interact with it. It gives me a chance to build even stronger bonds across different groups of the server. I always want another reason to come online and this will give me the chance to expand on the social side. Being part of this faction means taking more responsibility, this also gives me the goal to keep improving how I contribute, teaching me new ways in teamwork. I want to learn to be even more dependable and consistent. This is both for IC and OOC.

✎•• In your own words, describe the different roles of the Government Faction:
MAYOR

The mayor is the leader of the Government faction. They oversee the entirety of townhall. They're in charge of managing most things behind scenes, mostly handling hiring new workers, making decisions for the faction and making sure everything stays organized.
DEPUTY MAYOR

They are pretty much a second in command of the faction. They help out where is needed and are able to fill in for any role when needed. They oversee and or are present at trials, making sure things go smoothly.
JUDGE

Judges are the main authority and power in the courtroom. They're responsible for listening to both sides of a case. With those two things they make the final decision. In lawsuits even if the accuser requests a certain outcome, the judge is the one to stay unbiased and decide what's fair and deserved. Judges are a neutral party and base their verdict solely on what's present during in trial. Outside of trials they also handle civic responsibilities which are handing out IDs, issuing restraining orders, manage adoption procedures, reviewing ongoing or past legal cases and conduct shop inspections.

During a trial they are split into two roles:
The Head Judge is the one who leads the courtroom. They do most of the speaking and keep order during the trial.

The Jury supports the judging the case. They listen to all the arguments and look over the evidence together with the Head Judge. At the end of a trial, both the jury and Head Judge discuss the case together, before making a final decision together for the public.

LAWYER

Lawyers are the ones who argue on behalf of their clients, either they're defending or accusing someone. Before hand they are expected to meet with their clients and prepare ahead of time for their case that they present during a trial. During the trial they present that evidence, question any witnesses and try to convince judges to choose their side. They also help civilians with legal procedures. Outside of trials they hand out IDs, they file and handle lawsuits, respond to attorney calls, apply for restraining orders and maintain client lists.

GOVERNOR
Governors are the more logistical backbone of the Government faction. They ensure that trials and other civic functions run smoothly. Outside of trials they hand out IDs, do marriage officiations, manage adoption procedures, respond to civilian complaints and do shop inspections.

During a trial they are split into two roles:
The announcer, which is responsible for managing the courtroom flow. They introduce the judge and announce the trial starts. They will welcome everybody attending and ask everyone to rise from their seats except the judges. The Governor will then present the Head Judge and ask if both sides are ready. The Judge will be asked to hold up their right hand and swear that they'll judge the case fairly. After that everybody will be told to sit and ask the Lawyers to bring out their evidence. They ask Lawyers to say their closing statements and then to head back to their seat. The judges will go out of the room to discuss the verdict. They will end court by saying it's adjourned and to get out via elevator. When witnesses are present, they guide them to the stand, let the to rise their hand and swear they will say nothing, but the truth. After examining they will guide the witness back to the plaintiff's bench and repeat the same for the defense.

The documenter, which is responsible to write everything down.

I hope I can learn even more.

✎•• Do you acknowledge that upon being accepted you can be subject to removal at any given time?:

Yes, I acknowledge that upon being accepted I can be subjected to be removed at any given time.

✎•• Have you read & agreed to follow the Government Faction rules?:

Yes, I've read and agreed to follow Government Faction rules.

"Zero. None. Clearer than a surgeon's scalpel. Which is honestly impressive, considering how many rules I've bent. - ..Never broke, though."

No criminal record

✎•• What makes you a good candidate for this job?

Sits upright for once, arms folded, a grin toned down to something more sincere.
"I'll be fully honest. On paper, I'm probably not the most qualified candidate. I don't come from some polished political background. I didn't study policy at some important university or shake hands with big names in suits. I've spent the last decade studying something far more important. I worked as a medical intern and then as a psychiatric resident. I've seen firsthand what actually happens to people when systems designed to protect them start to fail. I've watched bureaucracy crush workers from the inside. I've stood next to families who were failed by those who were supposed to help them. I've seen how certain cracks in the system break more than just minds. It breaks them as a person and it breaks their communities. That kind of experience, doesn't just come with a degree.

My background gives me something most candidates cannot offer. I've got a lot of practical insight from the field itself. I understand the emotional part of real cases. I know when there is something wrong. I've also come from a working background. I didn't grow up privileged or cushioned. Every step I took has been earned through long hours and longer days. Everything I did is to help my parents keep the lights on, maybe times for my sisters and sometimes just for myself. It taught me a lot, about humility, urgency and about what people actually need. I've finished 11 years of medical school and worked almost every day. I take pride in my hard working nature. I'm not here to just say the right thing and sit in a suit. I'm here to climb ladders people haven't and build new things more than just personal growth. I learned how to clean up after promises others never kept. I learned more than just teamwork"
