Why are Teachers so important to SchoolRP?:
Teachers in SchoolRP are what make the server what it is today. Without teachers, or any of the other school faculty, SchoolRP would not have as much depth or intricacy to itself as it does now.
Teachers provide lessons and teachings that help with progression to move to being college students, and also teach in ways that pique the player's interest on certain subjects.
Adding onto this, there are a lot of people in SRP that I know struggle with getting into interacting with other players. Teachers provide an excellent way to allow newer, or even old veteran players ways to get involved with fellow peers, therefore helping push them to interact and build bonds with other people inside the server. This is critical to keep the player base engaged.
Lastly, teachers are there to maintain structure throughout the school, making sure that the roleplay environment is not disrupted in a way that ruins other's experiences.

What's your character's full name?:
Roman V. Devereux
What is your character's nationality?:
French
What is your preferred subject to teach?:
English
───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────
Describe your character:
Roman V. Devereux is a 6'5", blonde haired French gentleman. He speaks in a warm, and low tone of voice, one that carries a sense of unhurriedness, and a wave of calm like an ocean wave lapping the shore. His typical wear are nice button ups, tailored dress slacks, a belt, and brown or black dress shoes. He is very well kept, making sure his cleanliness and appearance is always up to par. Roman has always been a man of class, straying from the paths of deviancy and rebellion, and instead turning to the life of leading by example, and upholding morals. His calm demeanor is one that makes anyone around him feel comfortable in his presence, and his slow, yet deliberate mannerisms make sure everyone feels at ease.
Roman's favorite activities is sitting at home with a cup of expresso, and reading some of his favorite novels. Books have always been his solitude ever since he was young. He also enjoys studying poetry, reading the morning newspapers, the occasional golfing trip, and frisbee golf. He never dreamt of a picket-fence life for himself, he has only ever strived to do things that would further push him into becoming the exact man he wants to be, which is a man that can lead, and a man people can rely on for anything.
Outside of his favorite activities, Roman also spends a decent amount of time at the gym, strictly out of necessity. His lean figure is one he is very critical on, and he does whatever needed to keep himself in top shape. He eats very green, and his diet is extremely detail-oriented. Just like himself.

What is your character's outlook on students and co-workers?:
As a teacher, Roman has always strived to really show his students the true beauty of literature. He believes that it has the power to transform minds, and bring joy in a way that not many other things can. He sees his students as they are, individuals who are there to learn. To gain knowledge on a subject that he has the power to teach. Knowing this, he strives to teach well, leaving the memory of his class etched into their minds, and giving them lessons on literature that will forever stick with them. He has always been eager to help his students, and will constantly, and without any sort of displeasure, help any that come to him about the material he teaches. He loves all of his students as if they were his own, and he wishes to prove so through his teaching.
As a co-worker, Roman is extremely friendly, and always tries his best to be cooperative with the staff. He understands the hardships of teaching, and how it can affect others, so he lends his hand out to and faculty who needs it. He enjoys his job, and loves to share with any teacher who listens, as he believes that education can be taught, and learned, at any age. He will be in conversation, and drop a few notes about some poetry, or maybe on reading that was happening in class, simply out of the love he has for his profession.

What is your character's motivation for teaching?:
As a child, Roman used to despise English classes in school. Not because he disliked the subject, but because of how the teachers taught it. He never felt the passion or joy from any of his English teachers. They all spoke in the same monotone and disinterested tone of voice, and brought up ideals regarding literature in such inefficient ways. That was until his final year of high school. Expecting the same lifeless English teacher as before, Roman was met with a woman. Bubbly, and in her mid to late 30s, she spoke with a sparkle in her eye every day. The way she preached on different kinds of literature made Roman fall even more in love with the subject as a whole. That's when he realized that he could also teach this way, in a way that could possibly show students literature in the way he saw it, and not just as another class they had to painstakingly sit through until graduation. From then on, he made it his mission to become a teacher, dedicating his time in College to his education major, and working tirelessly to maintain positive remarks. Upon graduation, his sense of liberation, and eagerness to teach solidified that the path of teaching was perfect for him.

Warning One:A student is continuously being disruptive in class, talking out of turn, and making jokes with classmates. What would your character do?:
If Roman noticed a student was being disruptive, he would look at them, lowering his glasses slightly past the bridge of his nose. He understands that school can be a place for socializing with friends, but in class while students were trying to actively learn is not one of those instances.
"Listen up, let's quiet down now. There are students here who would like to learn in today's lesson. Please refrain from disruption until after the class is over."
Warning Two:
If the behavior persisted, Roman would this time be a bit more firm with his approach, not wanting to take any further time away from his lesson, he would react by saying. .
"I have already warned you about your behavior once, I understand that school is also a place for socialization, but right now is not the time for that. If you continue, I'll have to give you a detention."
If persisted further, Roman would hand them a detention slip quietly, and if that doesn't fix their act, he would remove them from the class.

Provide at least 2 interactive class ideas related to your preferred subject:
"Hot Seat"
In this game, Roman will pick a student to come up to the board and write a phrase, vocabulary term, or saying. The rest of the students will turn their attention away from the board, shielding them from what is written. Then, the student chosen to write will give the rest of the students hints as to what is written on the board. The first student to guess correctly will replace the writer.
"Mime"
This game requires Roman to split the class into two teams. Based of voluntary vote, he will call two people, one from each opposing team to come meet him at the front of the class while the rest of the students stay back. He will then whisper an action for both of them to 'Mime'. After this, the students will then in turn go and act out these said actions to their teams. The first team to call out what it is their teammate is Miming will give their team a point. The first to 5 points wins!
