My activity ranges from around 2-4 hours daily, hence I have to be active as I am a sports team member. I have more than enough time to sustainably write reports, broadcasts, sit at the desk and interact with others on my reporter character to complete my quota! My most active times range from 4:00PM - 9:00PM EST, with weekends being typically the most time I have free! My playtime on the server rounds to around 18 weeks, with my main account having 17 weeks and 3 days and my alt having 5-6 days. I have inserted this chart to show my overall schedule where I have time to dedicate to the role. I do have school during weekdays, just keep note.

What is your motivation to apply for reporter?
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──

Reporter faction has always caught my eye, from its large purple ~building... The best building by the way because of the purple trim ..~ to seeing the reporter tags around interacting with others! Reporter is one of those roles where you have to appreciate what they do to fully understand and enjoy the role, which I most certainly have thought through and studied! I have taken the liberty to learn as much as I could about the role, including its quota system and noticing small things, such as the broadcasts. I overall find the reporter role intriguing to me, as an individual who enjoys writing and challenging my mind to creativity, it is only right that the news factions is the perfect place for me to express my passion and writing skills. Reporter is an amazing opportunity for me to expand on my vocabulary and writing skills. Reporter is the perfect combination of having fun and learning, which is the best way to go!

Aside from my enjoyment for writing, it is important to mention how the reporter faction is something new for me; something I would like to try. I have only ever been a part of the academic and sports factions, which I would like to branch out to my very first city role. Interacting with players whether it be co-workers, regular citizens or interviewing them.. It is something I look forward to. The Reporter role would open many new doors for me in terms of experience and personal enjoyment. As a quote I once heard said, “Information is not knowledge. The only source of knowledge is experience.”

Alongside all of those reasons, it would be criminal of me not to mention how much I would love to work to the position of whizfeed. The style of writing that whizfeed uses attracts me, as it’s fun to read and enjoyable to write even! I had a blast writing my example report for this application, as I used a more whizfeed based style demonstrate what I could do and the effort I put into the topic. Taking the time to learn what style of writing you would like to do, as a writer is very important, It makes everything more enjoyable for the reader and yourself!

Do you have any experience with writing? What is your relationship with writing?
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──

I would say I have a fairly good relationship with writing. Being a member of the college cheer team, I would say detailRP is a large part of my SRP experience, and that’s all writing.. Obviously. In doing so, I have had many chances to expand my vocabulary which I am still doing, we never stop learning after all; That’s one thing writing has taught me. My point of view on literature and writing is that it tells stories and is pretty much a personality. You never stop using it, and you never stop trying to understand it.

A little about me - I am very much a reader, and always will be. Books are literally my life I could give a few suggestion.. Heh… I grew up with my main form of entertainment being reading, and continuing to do so with at very least a goal to read for 15 minutes every day. This habit inspired me to start creatively writing myself, in journaling and especially song writing. All this may seem irrelevant in the moment, but with all the experience and knowledge I have gained from doing this lead to my current relationship with writing today. I still believe there is room to improve in my writing, hence why it would be nice to get some practice with writing reports and more for the news faction.

Are you aware of - and will follow - the set of rules provided to you?
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──

Very much - I have read and absolutely understand the rules given, requirements and information. I surely do not expect myself to break any of these rules.

Why should we accept you over others?
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──

Classic question, hard to answer in my opinion. There is really no reason of why I should think myself above others to get accepted, although there are a few area’s I could see myself flourish in. That is the promise of creativity and to pour my all into my soon to be published reports, broadcasts and more. I find myself as someone who is quite good at ****yzing texts and making them more readable for the public, you will see what I mean once you read my example report. I tend to write my articles in smaller increments along with an image for the readers to study, making the report easier to read rather than a large paragraph for a report. From experience, I'm that sort of ‘judge a book by its cover’ person. And it’s surely no different for SRP reports, as soon as I see a large paragraph, it becomes very hard to read if it is not broken up, and I believe others will surely agree with me. So writing friendly to read and fun reports is what I am all about, make the readers enjoy the experience more!

Having experience and drive to dedicate to the faction is also a large cut of the reason I would be a great candidate for the role, being able to pour my heart and soul into the reports, broadcasts and general roleplay that comes along with the role.

Do you understand you have to stay completely neutral with all reports? (Your report can't have any OOC or IC bias towards a specific group.)
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──

I completely understand that I will have to stay neutral within all my reports.

Do you trust that you will be able to stay active and complete the monthly quota?
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──

Yes! I have plenty of time to complete quota within the news faction, I shall complete the total minimum quota requirement of 1-2 reports within the following months to keep my position.

~ Refer to activity question for my schedule chart ~

Summarize what you imagine work as a reporter is:

Reporter can be a lot more than just writing reports non stop, there are many more opportunities within the role! I image that along with of course documenting important topics and events in a report is nice, but other opportunities such as broadcasts and interviews are a large part of the position. Broadcasts consist of the weather and/or temperature, a small message and a song of the day. Alongside those, you have the option to gain quota through sitting at the desk taking calls, selling newspapers, listening to what others have to report etc! There are many possibilities with this role, and of course the dedication it takes to be a reporter. This role is no small thing, although it’s all worth it. I expect nothing less than satisfaction within this role, which myself and others will benefit from!

Full name?
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──

Shifting her feet on the ground to point towards the interviewer, Nāia was born ready for these question. She gave a subtle smile, and of course a wave.. classic for Nāia to be so friendly.

"Hello! Lovely to meet you, my name is Nāia Adhi'ka."

Nāia stood up, leaning over the desk for a firm hand shake. Onlyyy.. her coordination was -1000 today of all days, classic for first interviews.. Nāia's foot slipped and she went crashing onto a pile of papers on the desk before cartoonishly slipping off.. Poor, poor Nāia looked up at the interviewer, horrified.. She muttered an apology, picked up the papers and placed them neatly on the desk once again. Then just.. sat down like absolutely nothing happened

Preferred Name/Nickname and Title?

─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──

Nodded, like she already knew this question was coming. Looks like someone came prepared.. Nāia cleared her throat, preparing herself.

"I prefer just Nāia! Although on more formal occasions I could live with Ms. Adhi'ka."

Current Age?
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──

Took a little tissue out of her pocket, though not and ID.. Silly girl. In large bold sharpie marker was a big black circle outlining the number 25.. Guess she just kept that there incase any kids called her old, she was indeed not!

"I am 25 years old.. Fresh out of college..!"

Past job/work experience?
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──

Shifted in her seat.. Maybe a question that she was not expecting? She took her pencil off of her ear, leaning back in her chair.. She spun the little piece of wood and graphite in between her fingers.. boy, she was talented at that.

"Back in my home country, I used to work as an intern for my local news publishing firm..~ Oh.. And can’t forget that I was a part of the journalism club, best years of my life.. Other than that, I had no prior jobs. So this would be my first!"

Degree/qualifications?
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──

Stopped her pencil spinning promptly, setting it back on her ear. Nāia reached into her purse, pulling out a folded piece of paper with a coffee stain on it, what a shame.. She opened it up to reveal her PHD certificate, letting the interviewer have a glance before dainty putting the paper back in her purse where it was most likely going to get crushed if she did not frame it soon..

"I have completed a PHD in creative writing believe it or not.. Very dedicated, very demure.. Oh, I am also a professional coffee lover.. if that counts-"

Nationality and born location?
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──

Rubbed her hands together warming them up using the superpower of friction.. but no- it was cold in that office..

"My nationality is Indonesian! I was born in Malang, Java island. Very nice place..~ You should visit sometime!"

Phone Number:
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──

Stole a sticky note off of the interviewers desk, taking that little pesky pencil off her ear once more, this time to write her phone number on. She then stuck it right on the lamp sitting on the desk, repeating the number aloud. okay.. Ms?

"(030)-127-0260."

How would you describe yourself in under 150 words?
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──

Smiled, taking out one of those 'about me' posters out of her pocket.. gotta do what you gotta do! She handed the interviewer the poster, it was cluttered with pictures of her, a few images representing her interests with coffee stickers ALLLL over the page.. soo.. anyone want to take a guess what attracts her the most is at that point?

"I like coffee. But on a more serious note, to describe myself.. I like being a little silly, although I am very professional when needed to be. Hm.. For my qualities, i’m very reliable in terms of work and as a friend; then for thing’s I need to work on is.. Learning how to small talk, I’d rather blab.. And perchance learning how to cook..? Seriously though..~"

Typical of Nāia.. it was almost like she was trying her best!

"I also really enjoy social interactions and events, great way to get to know co-workers and the public. I enjoy working with others, and I have no issues with that. A goal I want to reach If I do get this position is to keep my office desk tidy.. You know how it is? Busy and can’t organize it right away.. Did I mention that I like coffee?"

What are you interested in writing about? How will you achieve this, and would you consider going out of your comfort zone?
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──

Nodded along with the question, the little hamsters wheel in her brain going 90 MPH.. She just sat there a moment, thinking about what he was going to say. That would be the best option for her at the moment.

"I’m more so interested in writing about events in Karakura, how Karakura operates with its factions and other fun statistics! I really enjoy to write more lighthearted reports rather than heavy topics such as crime, that is the only thing that I would not like to do."

Tapped her fingers along the desk, making a much recognizable rhythm - Jingle bells..

"Other than that, yes I would consider going out of my comfort zone to write a good report. I believe that writing a variety of different topics in different categories would be good for me, make each report an element of surprise. I could make a list of idea’s every month for me to build off of and choose the best topic to write about to achieve this, that seems like a decent idea!"

What are your expectations for the job?
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──

Lightly inhaled, then exhaling to release any pressure she may be feeling at the moment. Lovely breathing exercises..

"I expect to enjoy it, obviously. I have thought through why I even wanted to apply for this position, and it’s super clear to me that I just.. Think it’s right for me. Ever since I was 14, I knew I had a future in writing. And here I am! I expect the job to satisfy my expectations regarding enjoyment, and to keep me occupied with writing. I especially expect to make friends with co-workers, other citizens of Karakura and just be involved with the community in general."

Gave a lopsided smile, her fingers intertwined with each other as she sat politely.

I also believe in informing the citizens of Karakura of what is going on in their city.. Whether it be so simple like landmarks of Karakura, or much larger topics. To be informed is to be free, am I right?

Flashed a subtle smile, she knew she was right.. They knew she was right..

Do you have a criminal record?
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──

Nāia looked up at the interviewer, biting her bottom lip.. She shook her head a simple no.

The only crime I have ever done was not putting cream in my coffee ahaha… but in all seriousness no, I am a law abiding citizen.

Fluent Languages
─── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ──

Poked her cheek.. then demonstrating her language skills by speaking a little bit of Javanese, then translating it back to Japanese for the interviewer to understand.

I’m fluent in Javanese, I have a great understanding of Japanese but I may mispronounce some words wrong.. correct me if I do!

PROMPTS:

You will have to write two reports about a topic of your choice. Here we can see how pronounced your writing is and how creative you are. Use your own formatting and your own report idea. (If you're found plagiarizing an actual report or another applicant, you will be denied.)

Interview | #2
────────୨ৎ────────

1743302630299.png

[Nāia Adhi'ka]

"Gooooood morning citizens of Karakura! Nāia Adhi'ka, reporting to you with a guest today.. Wait, where Is she..?"

[Renee E.]

Foot steps would come clapping into the room.. a few huffs followed..

"OH MY GOSH IM SO SORRY... I'm here!!! My alarm did not go off..."

Escoffier sat down, reapplying a layer of makeup because she was still a ladyyyy...

[Nāia Adhi'ka]

A subtle giggle lifted through the air, a lopsided grin washed over Nāia's mouth.

"Glad you could make it, Ms. Escoffier! Shall we begin now?"

[Renee E.]

"Of course, of course! Happy to be here as well may I add.. Though why did you book this so early in the morning?! ITS 5:00 AM!"

A snap of the lipstick lid closing was heard as the footage blacked out, leading into the interview...

[Nāia Adhi'ka]

"Karakura has been going CRAZAYYY lately with the new vending machines the city installed, it’s insane to think not only did we get new food and beverages choices, but a total of THREE different vending machines?! How do you feel about it? Do you think it’s worth all the hype?" [1]

Took a pencil out from behind her ear, holding it to a clipboard.

[Renee E.]

"Oh Ms. Adhi’ka.. I think it’s amazing! I surely enjoy the options.. I totally forgot there was three to be honest?! It’s amazing how far we have come on
satisfying the citizen’s of Karakura’s needs and wants. I would say it is a total improvement!"

Nodded along as she spoke, her words drifting in and out as Nāia sketched down notes..

[Nāia Adhi'ka]

"Yep, that’s right! THREE different vending machines. Food, snacks and drinks. Do you have a preference of which vending machine you enjoy the most?" [2]

Looked up at Renee, finally. Nāia waved her pencil around like it was some sort of magic wand, following along with her own words.

[Renee E.]

"I’d say… Definitely the drinks. Very much an upgrade from the old vending machines drinks… I especially enjoy the energy jellies, they were sooo good…"

Renee's words were very exaggerated, making it sound more like she meant it about those energy jellies.. what sort of spell are these little drinks putting on kids now day's??

[Nāia Adhi'ka]

"Oh my gosh, so you noticed as well… The Energy Jellies! Of course. Say, I happen to have 3 just for this conversation, would you like one?"

Pulled out 3 jelly packs, placing them on the desk in front of Renee. Nāia gestured to her to proceed to take any flavor she would like, although before Renee could reach for one, Nāia had other plans.. she snatched the peach one up..

[Renee E.]

"Uhm.. actually, yes please! I’ll take the strawberry, it’s my favourite flavour."

Renee reached over the desk, side-eying Nāia's sudden movements the whole time.. Both Renee and Nāia then took a sip of their energy jellies.

[Nāia Adhi'ka]

"Oh, this is an interesting flavour.. I’m not going to lie to you, I have never had the peach flavoured jelly before. How do you feel after drinking the jelly?" [3]

Waved the opened energy jelly packet around in her hand, accidently making a splash on the camera lens itself. Nāia then reached over and wiped away the jelly with her sleeve, making the video clear again.

[Renee E.]

"It’s kind of hard to describe, I like it I know that.. I always have. I guess I feel more.. Energized? Yeah.. I kind of feel more picked up than I was before."

Shrugged, Renee tapped the desk with her new cutesy French tip nails..

[Nāia Adhi'ka]

"Energized.. Well of course, It’s in the name of course.. It almost makes you just want to get up from this seat and do something, doesn’t it? I heard the jellies designed to make you better at athletics, how true do you think that is?" [4]

Set the Jelly aside, picking up her clipboard. Nāia put her pencil to the paper once more, but the graphite tip broke.. sad days for all..!!! Nāia gestured for Renee to hold for one moment as she went off camera, only seconds later the only thing heard in the clip was the sound of an electric pencil sharpener going to TOWNNN on that poor pencil.. By the time Nāia walked back on camera, half her pencil was missing..

[Renee E.]

"With the way I’m feeling now, I feel like it could be true.. Although, I must say that it’s only minor, still something I guess if you are an athlete and need the sugar to boost your energy!"

Renee simply ignored Nāia's little mishap, moving on like nothing happened.

[Nāia Adhi'ka]

"As you previously mentioned, it could help athletes out with their training. But what about other factions? Do you think it could help them?" [5]

Nāia raised a genuine eyebrow, clearly intrigued by the question she asked and answer she was going to receive.

[Renee E.]

"Most certainly! I'm no doctor, but i’d suggest an energy jelly to anyone in the medical field. It could help them during long shifts which they will most definitely be tired from after a while. So it could be good for them! Or even students and their studies, a little pick me up for studying? Possibilities are endless!"

Renee held the energy jelly in view of the camera, making it the main focus for the audience. Was this a commercial or an interview?!
[Nāia Adhi'ka]

"Uh huh..? I have taken a small survey between just a handful of Karakurians, with the results coming out at 70% voting that the drinks machine was the best, and snacks second. Surprisingly, no one voted for the foods vending machine. Why is it that you think no one voted for food?! Gosh I could use some french fries myself.." [6]

Carefully handed Renee a small page from her clip board, statistics..
1743304950551.png

[Renee E.]

"Indeed, I could use fries myself as well.. BACK TO THE TOPIC! Even though the foods vending machine is everywhere, they are kind of well.. Boring. They still have a lot of options that was in the previous older vending machines, making them not as interesting to consumers. With only 3 new items, and the rest every day items… It’s kind of obvious why its not getting any special attention."

Renee shook her head in pure disappointment, peeking at the pie chart in her hands ever so often. She then handed the page back to Nāia, tapping it a few times as she spoke.

[Nāia Adhi'ka]

"That is completely understandable, what change would you implant to make the food vending machines more popular?" [7]

Nāia scrolled and tapped around on her phone a minute, showing Renee an image of the.. rather 'unique' items in the vending machine.

[Renee E.]

"I would get rid of the apples and oranges, perchance replace them with different fruits such as bananas or mango! The switch up will most likely give Karakurian’s options and not the same old.. Same old. If not replacing the apples and oranges, we could always even keep them and just add the other fruits."

Glanced at Nāia's phone, observing the images being shown to her. Renee squinted at the options... yep, she sure stood by her argument on that one..

[Nāia Adhi'ka]

"Okayyyyy I see where you are going with this…!!!! Great ideas, by the way. But now that you mention mango.. Have you seen the little snack bags that the snack vending machine is now selling? Interesting… Say, I did see that the snacks vending machine DID indeed place second on the survey, do you think that they are the reason the snacks machine even placed at all?" [8]

Nāia clicked the power button on her phone, turning it off and dropping it in her pocket for the rest of the interview.

[Renee E.]

"Now that I think of it, yes! The snack bags are ADORABLE!!!! I always carry one around with me just incase I get snacky when i'm out and about. There are 4 different snack bags, a variety. And that’s what the citizens of Karakura like… variety. Hence the reason as we mentioned previously where the foods vending machine may have went amiss..."

Renee took a pack few packs of gum tied together by an elastic band out of her purse, with a VIRIETY of different flavoured gum packets. She settled on the cool mint flavour.. Foods vending machines, TAKE NOTE!!
1743306552954.png
[Nāia Adhi'ka]

"Great point. Now, do you as a student, think you could survive off of these vending machines if you had to? Many newcomers tend to run to vending machines for their main source of food. Is it nutritious enough for them?" [9]

Nāia's eyes started to wonder to the pack of gum still in Renee's hands.. Nāia did her best to stay focused, though.

[Renee E.]

"Nutritious.. I’d say so. You have many healthy selections, water.. Milk.. fruits.. Edamame.. All great options. There are a few, such as the foods vending machine where French fries are not the most healthy option, but I guess you got to have a treat sometimes! And it sure does beat living off of apples like what the newcomers were doing before."

Noticing Nāia's wondering eyes, Renee threw Nāia a whole packet.. so generous!

[Nāia Adhi'ka]

"Hm… Fair point. And for the last question, do you think the costs of the vending machines are fair?" [10]

Nāia immediately caught it, this time her coordination was accurate... for once! She popped one in her mouth, blowing a bubble as she continued to jot down notes.

[Renee E.]

"I’d say so! If you were a newcomer to Karakura, I’d suggest the 3 larger meals are the best option for you. Even though they may be a little more expensive than apples, they fill you up twice as much and give you a bit more food then the apple, naturally. So it is worth the price in the long run. And to the locals here in Karakura, paying a little over 200 yen for the meals is a deal, pretty cheap in my opinion!"

Nodded her head, pretty simple was her answer, yet effective.

[Nāia Adhi'ka]
"Thank you for your time, Renee! It was lovely meeting you for this interview."

Nāia jumped up off her seat, making the chair slide back with an ear bleeding screech. Did Nāia care? Hells nooooo!!! All she cared about in the moment was shaking Renee's hand to finish off the interview, if only Renee would take her hands off her ears... poor thing!

[!] The footage went black, signifying the end of the interview. [!]

OOC Note!
: Shout out to Ksses for letting me use her character's name for the interview section, Renee is awesome!
