I wanna ask everyone: What is a particular dish that plays a big part of somewhat significant part of your Character's lore
Shogayaki: It's a Japanese Pork and Ginger Stirfry typically served on top of a bed of cabbage and eaten with rice. Not only is this Reiji kagami's Signature dish he makes to everyone he knows, while there's a lot of history behind it. When he was in Highschool in Karakura, it was a dish easy to meal prep and he ate it for all he could. Soon it became something he cooked for everyone as a sign of hospitality which most people enjoyed. And during his University days in Tokyo it was the first dish he ever served his now Wife Miyako, and since then it became a dish Reiji makes for everyone sharing a part of his. As of right now he's even taught his kids how to make it not only for themselves but forr any guess he brings to the appartment. And due to this Aside from teaching physics, his love for Shogayaki would also blossom his passion for Japanese cooking. If he didn't teach physics to begin with Reiji would have likely become a chef or a culinary teacher.
(Fun Fact: Whenever I DetailRP food, this is the dish I make the most)
Hokkaido Soup Curry: Unlike the thicker curry you'd find in the South of Japan, curries from the Northern part of Hokkaido particularly in Sapporo, the curries are usually runnier like a soup topped with slices of pork or vegetables and it's normally eaten with rice. Reiji and Amano both much so happened to grew up in Sapporo, this it's the style of curry they're used to eating. Back then when Reiji grew up his dad forced him to stay on a particular diet, and one of the few foods that not only taste good but wont also make him gain weight was his home reigon's style of curry. As of right now Reiji usually only makes Hokkaido style curry whenever he expects a bunch of guess to come over. He's not as fond of the curry as his sister Amano but when guest arrive, it's primarily an opportunity to showcase where he came from before stepping food in Karakura, and 9/10 people who had it really enjoyed the curry. And despite this being more watery then standard Japanese curry it's much more flavorful and very rich.
(Fun Fact: Lobster's SLT character approved of this style of curry)
