Describe your activity on the server:
My activity on the server is pretty consistent. I’ve been playing SRP for 4-5 years and have experienced a few different types of roleplay, whether it be clubs, different sports teams, faculty, gangrp, etc. As far as my playtime is concerned, I’m active for most of the day as it is the summer. With the fall semester starting soon, my activity will decrease slightly, but I will still have time to be online for at least a few hours a day and more on weekends.
What is your timezone?:

Kinesha Y. Elyon, College Baseball Team (will be leaving if accepted)
Amari Kamara, BD member, College
Khalil Vihugo, Grade 12
Satoru Tomohiro, Grade 8
S'mores, Cat
What experiences do you have with roleplay?:
I’ve experienced a few different kinds of roleplay, varying widely. From younger characters to older characters, from mean college jock to old man. Regarding factions, the only faction I’ve ever been a part of is faculty as a professor, and I excelled in that position. I have been in clubs in the past such as journalism, JROTC, and others. For sports, I’ve been a member of the HS track team, HS baseball team, and currently, the college baseball team, which I’ve been on for over a year. I am always open to new kinds of roleplay, and I love meeting new people through it.
What is your motivation for applying?:
I’ve wanted to join the Hospital faction for a long time but never got around to it. I think it’s one of the most important factions on the server, and the roleplay opportunities within the hospital are numerous. Other than my time as a professor, I haven’t really experienced AdultRP, which I’d like to explore within the hospital faction. I am a biology minor at university and know a bit about certain medical conditions and how to treat them. This kind of thing fascinates me, and I’d love to use this opportunity to learn more and incorporate it into my roleplay. I love roleplaying as a student, but I’d love to broaden my horizons and experience new things, and I think this is the perfect opportunity to do so. I also have a love for writing and DetailRP, which I believe would help me excel.
Which role are you applying for?:
Doctor
What knowledge do you have of the roles within the Hospital faction?:
Similar to real life, the Hospital faction follows a chain of command. There are support staff, pharmacists, nurses, doctors, directors, and other roles in hospitals that ensure the place is run smoothly. At Karakura Hospital, it goes as follows, from the bottom up:
Trainee
The freshmen of the hospital. the bottom of the hierarchy. This is the starting point for all doctors. As the name suggests, they are doctors in training, preparing to become great, independent doctors.
Resident
Residents are the next step up from trainees. They work hard to advance their training and become fully independent doctors. Residents have additional responsibilities compared to trainees.
Senior Resident
Senior residents are those who are close to finishing their residency training. They start taking on more leadership roles, helping and supervising junior residents and trainees. They function with higher levels of independence, preparing them for becoming attendings.
Paramedic/Veterinarian
After passing residency exams, Doctors and Psychiatrists can be considered for one of these two certification tracks. Paramedics assist the Karakura Police Department and citizens in emergency situations where they might need medical attention. Veterinarians can treat animals, even the wildlife in the forest.
Attending
Attendings are those who have completed all their training and received board certification. They are fully independent doctors with administrative authority and mentorship responsibilities. They are committed to contributing to the medical field.
Clinical Supervisor
Clinical supervisors have various responsibilities, including overseeing the growth and development of trainees and assisting the clinical leads with running their departments.
Clinical Lead
Each department has a clinical lead overseeing it. In Karakura, there are two: the Doctor's clinical lead and the Psychiatrist's clinical lead. They ensure that patients in each department are being appropriately treated.
Clinical Manager
Clinical managers are right below the director. They work primarily behind the scenes, taking orders directly from the director. They oversee both hospital departments and make sure they are organized. Instead of calling the shots themselves, they implement them as the director gives them.
Hospital Director
The hospital director is at the very top of the chain of command and oversees all aspects of the hospital operations. They are also responsible for maintaining the hospital’s financial stability and reputation.
Do you acknowledge that if training is hosted whilst you are online, you are expected to attend or you will be punished?

Character's Backstory:
Having been born and raised in Karakura, she’s had no shortage of struggles. She spent the first seventeen years of her life searching for her identity and place in society. With her biological parents leaving her an orphan, her adoptive family went above and beyond to be the influence she needed. It wasn’t until the year before she graduated high school she was able to get in touch with a few members of her birth family - those she believed not to exist.
She was always fascinated by medicine. In her spare time, she researched rare diseases and their treatments, studied biology diagrams and textbooks, and made frequent visits to the hospital to ask questions and learn whatever she could. Other times, she could be found on the baseball field, hitting home runs so far she was afraid that one day she’d smash a window of the Karakura Police Department. She felt a connection to these things - medicine and baseball. Yet she didn’t understand why. It wasn’t until she discovered a few members of her birth family all the pieces fit together. Her grandmother was a doctor at the hospital years ago and adopted her father. Her father’s goal was to become a doctor like his adoptive mother. But alas, his plans were foiled when he unexpectedly had Kinesha, throwing his life off course. Now, with a high school diploma, she was more than determined to follow in her family’s footsteps and succeed where her father had failed.
And study hard, she did. She balanced the immense workload of her academics and the responsibilities of being a member of the Spartan baseball team. She never rested, always aiming to achieve more, to be greater. This spirit carried her through her undergraduate degree in Biology. Halfway through her Master's in Medical Science. At this point, the workload was extensive, and she could no longer balance her dream of becoming a physician and sports, so with a heavy heart, she left the baseball team. Now, without distractions, she breezed through and obtained her Master’s.
Her hard work ethic earned her a spot at Kyoto University, the second-ranked medical school in Japan. Closer to her goal than ever, she worked harder than before. After completing med school, she returned home to Karakura, hoping to secure the job she’d sought since the age of eighteen.
SECTION 2: MEDICAL HISTORY
What is your character's medical specialty? Why did they choose this focus?
Kinesha really struggled to choose a specialty. She loved everything - how could she choose to focus on just one? She bounced back and forth between Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, and Neurology. She was able to eliminate Neurology fairly quickly. She took more time than most to choose her specialty. By the time she had chosen hers, just about all her peers had already chosen theirs. She finally settled on Emergency Medicine. Her reasoning is this: growing up within the crime-ridden streets of Karakura, she couldn’t count how many times she’d seen someone get stabbed on the sidewalk or heard about someone bleeding out to death from lack of medical attention. She’d seen countless times citizens plead with 110 dispatchers for help, just for no doctor to be trained to save them in such a fast-paced, high-risk situation. She aimed to change this, which is where her love of this specialty was born.
What medical residencies did your character take after medical school?
Kinesha briefly worked at Kyoto University Hospital, where she went to med school, but she quickly left after deciding that the work environment and location were not suitable for her. She missed home.
Does your character have any work experience in medical positions?
Just the couple of years she worked at Kyoto University Hospital.
Has your character completed any additional schooling?
No
SECTION 3: CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE
Describe your character; how do they look, what makes them unique? How would they be perceived by others?
Despite the hardness surrounding the citizens of Karakura, she is anything but. Kinesha’s presence was nothing short of elegant and graceful, bringing an air of peace around her. She is perceived as a bit of a pushover, but she is quite stubborn. Standing at the height of 5’10, her hair flows down her back in beautiful box braids with purple beads attached to their ends, a tribute to her heritage. She stood tall and proud, an air of confidence around her. Her chocolate-brown eyes met others’ gaze with warmth.
How does your character act on and off duty?
Despite being a former sports player, her behavior is nothing like that of a jock. Her behavior on and off duty is different, but not that much. On duty, she treats her responsibilities seriously, always determined and focused. She is respectful and dignified and goes above and beyond to ensure her patients receive the best care. Off duty, she is a bit more laid back. She is more likely to crack jokes and let loose. However, she is always careful to maintain her image as a hospital employee.
Does your character function better on their own or with others?
Kinesha is a firm believer in teamwork. She believes that two brains, two sets of eyes watching, and two sets of hands working together are better than one. She is more than capable of completing her duties independently and even enjoys it, but she is very much a team player.
What plans does your character have for the future?
She takes things one step at a time. Her goal for the future is to be an asset to the hospital - a supportive role there to help take on the responsibilities and burdens. She is not the type of person who feels they need to be the absolute best. No, she’s fine with being just the same as everyone else. She just wants to contribute and be somewhere in the middle, at least for now.
