Describe your activity on the server:
Currently, my activity on this server has been consistent on the server; although it was pretty on and off last year, since last December, I’ve fully picked up my activity and have yet gone inactive or MIA unless it was for exams/vacation. Since it is summer now and I’m currently out of school, I am able to get on whenever I please, even when I am attending school, my activity might not be the same as now, but I will still be active. Aside from this, I have already been on the server for about 2-3 years now, since mid-February 2022 to now. During that time, I was a part of GangRP, became a tailor, and so on. After a while, I had slowly gotten inactive due to mental health complications in 2023; although in late 2023, around December, I had gotten back and tried out for two different sports in late spring 2024. I had gotten into football, and I’m currently the Co-Captain of my team.

What is your motivation for applying?:
Aside from my activity, I currently have too much free time, and I want to keep myself busy with something new and fresh. The majority of my friends from then and now were/are in KPD, though that isn’t the only reason as to why I want to join. I’ve had an eye on KPD applications for a while and wanted to take part in applying, though I never got to fully encourage myself to - it took a couple of friends and people to tell me I should, which motivated me to write out this application now. I want to involve myself more in the community, not just within JockRP. It’s meant to motivate me and challenge myself, giving me more creativity. Always having something stirring in my brain, I want to add to that creativity and let it bloom towards others as well as going for a different team, as I was once a former Gang/CrimeRPer.

What knowledge do you have of Police Work?
KPD has two separate divisions, being: the Main Division and the Detective Division. The Main Division consists of your typical everyday officers who take on the average day-to-day duties consisting of: taking on reports, managing desk duties, handling visitations, patrolling, arresting criminals, etc. Whilst for the Detective Division, they are similar to the Main Division but have more tasks at hand. These tasks include handling complicated cases, taking on complex investigations where crimes have happened/occurred.

Main Division
Cadet
Patrol Officer
Corporal
Sergeant
Lieutenant (Higher-Up)
Captain (Higher-Up)

Detective Division
Detective Constable
Detective Sergeant
Detective Inspector
Detective Chief Inspector (Higher-Up)
Detective Superintendent (Higher-Up)
Commissioner

Items Used:
Tranquilizer:
The tranquilizer is given to the higher positions in the KPD, as it’s used as a way to put the criminal down for a good amount a time when being apprehended.

Stun Blaster/Taser
Works as a taser, meant to send an electrical shock through the target, bringing them to a halt. Given to all KPD members, unable to be taken/stolen/mugged off them.

Crowbar
Crowbars aren’t an official type of tool officers use, though it is utilized to break down any kind of obstacle in the way of an entry or exit. It’s not allowed to be used as a weapon either.

Baton
A steel baton, used for defense, keeping criminals from attempting to harm an officer or someone else. Though being short ranged, it still offers the same aspects as some items, like bats.

Pepper spray
A bottle used to blind someone for 60 seconds/1 minute, for both the KPD and EMS can use.

Hand Cuffs
Used to restrain a person, although it can be sturdy, it can also be destroyed by blunt objects. As they are range tools, you must apply them carefully on the person its targeted towards.

Riot shield
Riot shields aren’t used to attack players, but rather to be used to push them away to create distance / keep them from entering an area. This shield is accessible to all ranks within KPD, typically seen when they are in riots, hence the name.

Breathalyzer
This is used to check the drunk percentage of someone.

Why is Police important to SchoolRP?
Police is important to SchoolRP due to the high population of criminals around, many have started in the Crime faction, so KPD is the complete opposite. This is meant to keep the IC community safe from said delinquents and to maintain safe streets for those residing in Karakura. As Governments enforce the laws, KPD is to ensure the laws are being followed properly, making sure that it includes the realism of the real world.

Do you acknowledge that if training is held whilst you are online, you are needed to attend or you will be punished?
Yes, I do acknowledge that if training is held whilst I’m online, I’m required to attend; otherwise, I will be punished.

Describe your character; how they look, what makes them unique?
Being a feminine figure, she would also dress somewhat modestly. Two moles on her face, one underneath the outer corner of her left eye, and one on the right bottom of her mouth. Having doe eyes, her bubbly personality when it comes to outside any kind of serious contact like work makes her more approachable. Despite her height settling at 5’2, she had no trouble holding herself when it came to disagreements/fights; height truly didn’t determine strength. Niwa's build matched with her height, being pretty athletic. Free from any sort of piercings, as well as her ears, not wearing any kind of earrings. Her hair, on the other hand, was healthy, besides the fact that she’s dyed it a couple of times; besides that, her hair would often be seen down with waves.

How does your character act in a professional/casual situation?
When it comes to professional/casual, she’s often serious during her professional life. Keeping her two lives completely private from each other, not wanting what happens during her casual life and professional life to clash with each other. Naturally, not wanting anyone to truly know anything that happens in her casual/private life, she tends to keep to herself at work as a way to maintain professionalism.

In her casual life, she could usually be seen working on newer hobbies she picks up in her free time. A small hobby she usually does is crocheting or origami, often seen doing these when she is bored or has too much time on her hands. Some hobbies outside of the ones she does as a side, she often plays sports as well to keep herself working. Busy woman! Honda hates having too much freedom with her time. Picking up any kind of hobby will always be something to keep her busy, even if she doesn’t understand it the first few times. Despite keeping her private life and work separate, keeping her work life away from her sister is difficult due to her sister being a doctor.

What is their outlook on the idea of co-workers & teamwork?
She can flourish within any scenario when it comes to teamwork, believing it’s the most important thing when it comes to employment. If there’s no teamwork, then there’s no point in working now, is there? Although she can be stubborn, she will set that aside when she needs help, not when she’s deep in the trenches. Honda will not sit around and let something.

What's your character's backstory?
Niwa Honda was born into a house filled with doctors in Osaka, Japan. Her father, Dr. Keisuke Honda, is a well-respected psychiatrist specializing in criminal and forensic psychology. Her mother, Dr. Yuki Honda, a biology professor and geneticist, spent more time in labs than sitting at the dining table. Growing up in their home was like living inside a textbook: precise, meant to guide the future. As the youngest daughter, Niwa was independent early, with the household she had grown up in, the words her father would often say were, “Control is maturity.” That phrase became her protection. It was the three words that kept her from having breakdowns at night, even if they were the only three words that truly threw her to her lowest. Those same three words created a different image of life for her, even if it was sugarcoated.

Nene, her older sister, was different as she was gentler, quieter. She followed their mother’s shadow into biology, majoring in nursing and choosing a life of service and compassion. Niwa admired her older sister, but also envied her as she was the spitting image of their parents. Always having the belief that she had too many edges, especially during her teenage years, she became fascinated with the reasons behind violence, just not in a morbid way, but from a place of pure curiosity. Snooping through her father’s files, which were always kept behind locked doors. Taking sneak peeks when he wasn’t around, reading through each file, different cases on stalkers, serial offenders, trauma, and compulsion. It fed her illusions on a different level, adding to her curiosity and the constant itch in her head, wanting the answers to it all.

Despite pressure to follow her parents into medicine or hard science, her career choice was settled on a major in Criminal Justice, with a concentration in forensic psychology. Her decision caused a quiet rift at home. Her mother considered it a ‘waste of academic potential.’ Yet Niwa didn’t allow the disappointment she caused in her household to hold her back from a career choice she’d longed for, allowing herself to thrive off the questions she had building in her head. After graduation, she worked in different areas of Japan, eventually settling down with her sister in a so-called Karakura, taking her chances with different jobs for 2 years, even with her major in Criminal Justice. She had chosen a lifestyle instead of pursuing her career plan she created in her teenage years, though eventually she had gotten bored with what she was living with. Her life felt bland, she felt unhappy with the choice she made, and decided what good would it be for her to have a major in something she wasn’t going to pursue?

After several restless nights of debating, pacing back in forth in her own home as she allowed her mind to wander between her boring lifestyle to what she could have, something she had dreamed of since the questions arose in her mind. Pondering as it took her quite some time to fully convince herself of the choice she should’ve made a couple of years ago. Retracting herself when reminded of the negative remarks she used to receive from her family, something from her past haunted her even behind the choice she made confidently, yet not feeling regret for her choice, she was still not truly able to move past the words often said to her. Pure criticism from both her parents, and when not from them, their colleagues or other family members. This was an obstacle she wanted to fully overcome before taking the jump and committing to the future she wanted for herself. Even after constant pacing, writing out how she felt, she decided to take the call and chose to tell her parents that the decision was made, even with a heavy chest, it was a leap into what her major was practically made for, a police officer.

General knowledge

Can you legally own a pocket knife in Karakura?
“You cannot legally own a pocket knife; owning one will result in a felony, which would be possession of illegal weaponry.”

Name 5 medical items that do NOT require a prescription
Paracetamol - ¥1,500
Cough syrup - ¥6,000
Wooden canes - ¥7,000
Multivitamins - ¥3,500
Melatonin - ¥3,000

If you see your co-workers physically abusing an inmate, what should you do?
“If I were to see an inmate being physically attacked by a co-worker, I would take it to caution and mind. Going to contact a higher-up or supervisor on a private server about what was happening, waiting for the instructions to be given to me. If I cannot reach a higher-up, I will cautiously step in and talk to my colleague as an attempt to separate the inmate and officer.”

What should you do if you see your co-worker being assaulted?
“I would first ensure the safety of those around me as well as my own. Before stepping in, I’d also take caution to see if I should intervene or call for backup instead. If I were to call for backup using the radio, I would alert the station of the assault as well as give the location where it’s happening, also giving the number of people are around the area. Stepping in to ensure my co-worker’s safety as well as those around us, separating them and the assailant. With the two successfully departing, I would get my co-worker to a secluded location to check for any injuries, as assault shouldn’t be taken lightly.”

What do you do if you find out that your co-worker is corrupt and is helping criminal organizations?
“If I were to discover that a co-worker is corrupt and affiliated with a criminal organization, I would try to collect whatever evidence I can. Choosing to be discreet about it before just jumping in without any kind of confirmation on what I may be pointing out to a co-worker. I will take my chances on the report with the evidence I can collect.”

How would you react to a criminal trying to bribe you?
“Given a time where there’s a time a criminal ever attempts to bribe me, I would quickly reject the offer and make it clear that I will not fall into the lines of corruption as I am working for the KPD and am held by the legal system. Though even if I were to deny, my body cam and voice recordings would/should be on, making sure to keep it as a sort of evidence against the person making the offer and handing said evidence to her higher-ups the moment I can.”
