The club itself will focus on the study of Astrology instead of Astronomy as a whole. It's the study of movements such as stars and planets and what they mean when influencing aspects of life or the natural order. While it's not considered a science to most, it still has a lot of history behind it. My club will focus on that study, the history of it and the alignment of such energies and how it could impact human affairs and earthly events.

No, I do not, I would be happy to have anyone interested in being the supervisor whether they know about astrology or not. It can be learned along the way.

‘Stargazing Night’
Simply as the title suggests, the club will gather with their equipment such as binoculars or telescopes. Even a mapping system in order to figure out where each constellation is positioned, then based on that positioning, describes how it could affect things like the natural flow of energies. There could be different stands with information about each set of constellations and their histories surrounding them. Each stand would have a different theme such as Water Signs, Earth Signs, Fire Signs, Air Signs, along with each would be some information backing them. There would also be different types of games to be played. It would give students insight on the club and if they would be interested in joining it since they could get to know the leader and members beforehand.

‘Pop Up Fortunes’
A pop up stand for getting your fortune read using the practice of astrology. Club members would be gathered around and be ready with the birth chart guides in order to tell each student and faculty their future in different aspects. They will be asked a few simple questions which would help determine where their Saturn is, Moon is, and so on and so forth. In front of the clubroom would be the small stand or two stands pop up, we could sell merchandise and also drawn upon readings for different students. Offer birth chart readings and insight into their futures or also do some palm reading.

‘A Night with Stars’
A sleepover kind of event for the club members, we’ll go onto the roof with our sleeping bags or we’ll go to the forest and to the tents. During the night, we will watch the movement of stars, get photos taken, also sit around a fire and tell our favorite stories. It would be a bonding experience for each of the members to get to know not only leadership but their fellow peers. We would also take this time to map out each of the constellations and do some divination readings.

What is your motivation to lead a club within the school? (250+ words)
Coming to this town, I had no real aspirations, only a deep appreciation for the natural world and specifically the sky, the stars if you so wish to deem it. My motivation to join the rank of Club Leader comes from wanting something bigger than myself. I want to learn responsibility on another level, such as taking on the task of being a ‘leader’ to people in similar interests. Make fun events for people to learn about something I take full interest in which is the stars, Astrology and everything around it, planets, alignments and other such things. As I took a gander inside the school and down the club halls, I noticed there were a lot of things missing, sure we have gardening club, we have culinary, media and outside of that photography. They are regular clubs you would see anywhere else or at most schools you attend.
Something I haven’t seen is some kind of astrology or astronomer club where I take the most interest in, it honestly sucks not seeing one as there are a lot of people I’ve noticed that take an interest in that. Sure it can be depicted as a type of Science or be involved in some kind of science club if there were one. However, I want to run a club that only focuses on the stars, the alignment of planets with their meanings and what it could mean for the atmosphere. Also could tell us when the next eclipse could come into play.
As for the astrology aspect with the different star signs, it plays a big part in day to day lives, for those who warrant the most interest in that field of life. It is the focus on relationships, personality traits, and romance, to those it’s not that big of interest but it’s an interest to me. I love the stories behind each constellation and the meaning they hold in life. My goal is to tell the stories of the stars, to show people a different belief system that most people tend to look to without reason.
Why choose you over other candidates applying for this position? (50+ words)
I have been around the school for a few months now, and I would say my activity is quite there. Sure, I haven’t joined any of the teams or other clubs as of yet but I feel that shouldn’t matter. I’ve been around the social aspect of the school for a time, chatting with mainly the sports members or randoms that say hi to me. I’m not a big name and even if I get in, I don’t mind if I stay a little name. My goal is to make a space for those who believe in astrology and the study behind it a safe space to indulge themselves in the natural energies of the world and of fate. I would love to see astrology club become a thing and for those interested to indulge the history of it. To watch constellations form and see different stories be written in the stars, so that their tales will never be lost to time.

Cause that's what astrology is, it's about connections, it's about sharing a passion. And this club is my passion, to run one and to make a community. I might be the leader, but I'm not the one running the show, I want it to be the members.
