Chay enjoys spending time alone with her music, usually with headphones in and the volume loud enough to drown everything else out. Often finds herself getting into fights, more for the adrenaline than anything else. Stealing from stores is something she does impulsively part habit, part control, part entertainment. She’s also skilled at piercing herself, treating it like both a personal ritual and a form of self-expression. Physically, she stays active through a mix of calisthenics and pilates, favoring exercises that keep her strong, nimble, and grounded.
GENERAL APPEARANCE [IN-GAME]
She weighed 120 lbs while having facial piercings, her fragrance was sweet sandalwood. Her neck was also covered in bite marks and hickeys, impossible to hide and to not see.
FULL DESCRIPTION OF GENERAL APPEARANCE
Standing at 5'2" and weighing 120 lbs. Her frame carries a natural softness, with healthy fat distributed across her limbs and face, giving her a surprisingly gentle, approachable appearance. Though most of her body doesn’t visibly show muscle, her stomach is slightly toned, subtle definition hinting at her strength beneath her smooth hourglass silhouette. Her facial features are marked by distinct, sorrowful-like eyebrows that give her an always-thoughtful or wistful expression, despite her overall attitude and aura she brings out. She has light-colored, semi-monolid eyes that shimmer in shades of brown and hazel, their hue shifting with the light. Adding to her edge are several facial piercings; small, understated studs and rings that accent her nose and mouth entirely [Specifically; Septum, lip fangs, snake bites & midline tongue] giving her a unique and expressive look. Whenever in a situation in which revealed, she had a carving of the letters; J.O. written onto her left chest. A form of her belonging to her partner, Jason. Chay’s scent is a soft trace of sweet sandalwood, warm, faintly creamy, and grounding, like a quiet echo that follows wherever she goes.
SERIOUS PROBLEMS-FLAWS-ADDICTIONS-DISORDERS-DISABILITIES
Chay struggles deeply with emotional regulation, though she rarely admits it. She has never learned how to process or cope with strong emotions in a healthy way, often defaulting to humor, deflection, or physical confrontation when overwhelmed. Instead of expressing how she feels, she bottles everything up, especially grief and anger, until it either numbs her or bursts out unexpectedly. The loss of her cousin only made this worse, but she’s kept silent about it, acting as if nothing changed. She carries unresolved pain that she refuses to show, believing vulnerability is dangerous or useless.
BACKSTORY
Born and raised in Villa El Salvador on the outskirts of Lima, Peru, Chay's life was shaped by survival from the very beginning. Her parents, deeply entangled in addiction, struggled to provide even the basics. By the time she turned seventeen, her education had come to a halt; cut off by a lack of resources and attention. With only two other family members to rely on, and even less support among them, Chay learned early how to fend for herself.
She lived by instinct quietly navigating the streets, learning when to speak and when to disappear. Every day was about making it to the next, and she quickly adapted to the rhythms of the street, watching, listening, and surviving however she could. But deep down, she wanted more of an escape, a shift, a different future.
That possibility came in the form of a rumor one passed from mouth to mouth by others who lived like her. She had a cousin in Japan, someone who might offer her a way out. Fueled by that sliver of hope, Chay began to gather what little she could through petty theft, quietly slipping money from strangers’ pockets until she had just enough to make her move.
Without proper documentation and under the weight of uncertainty, she slipped through the cracks of the system and boarded a plane bound for a country she had never seen. It was reckless. It was dangerous. But it worked.
She arrived in Japan with nothing but the hope of a family. For a short time, she found it reuniting with her cousin and trying to piece together what a stable life might feel like. But that peace was short-lived. Just a few months after her arrival, her cousin was killed caught in the crossfire of a greedy, violent group she had never fully understood. Alone once again in a foreign land, Chay had every reason to return to the life she fled.
Instead, she stayed. Not because she had to, but because she saw the chance to start fresh. With no one left and nothing to lose, Japan became her blank slate.
