Aaaaa what do I do to start?

I see people with biographies, full on backstories, proper aesthetic modpacks and resourcepacks (like one that makes skin overlays 3d which i think is very cool) and many other things that kinda overwhelmed me as someone who joined the website and the discords because of interest. Do yall have any tips on where someone like me is supposed to start? Like what do i need before hopping into the server, are there any recommendations whether it be overall just tips or stuff for qol like resource and mod packs to make the experience better. Anything would be apprecisted, thank you in advance if there's any responses
