★ Describe your activity on the server: <<
“Maybe a bit too active?”

I can say I’m a pretty lively player on SRP, joining the server around October 2023. However, I have some activities outside of the server that I have to fulfill. I’m still a student, having to go to classes and study for the upcoming exams that may appear in the future, but somehow I’m still very active and play quite a few games. If I had the authority to rate myself, I believe 8 / 10 would suit me perfectly. Though I only have a couple of weeks left, I'll be more active once I'm free.

Screenshot 2025-06-01 210924.png

I am fixed on one of my characters, specifically, developing them as much as I can. I’ve been through the government faction, loving it, but I decided it’s time to try some new things out, so I went deeper, into the criminal side of things. Being without a faction right now lights a fire in me to try something new. That’s my overall activity on the server!

★ Specify your Discord username (USER#0000) and if you have a microphone: <<
“There you go, friend!”

My discord is ‘_koly’ and I do have a microphone. I am willing to use it whenever it’s needed! Though note, I may be a bit shy at first.

★ Specify your country of origin and time zone: <<
Romania | EET

★ What are your motivations in applying for the black market dealer role?: <<
“Eurr.. I kinda like it.”

Personally, I've recently acquired my motivation to apply for the BMD role. I loved and found this faction very unique, following it for quite some time, but I thought, at that time, I wasn’t even fit to apply for it. That changed, however, with this wave, giving myself a shot to try something new, something I admire as a whole.

I’ve been getting myself involved in the criminal underworld a bit more than I ever used to, gradually gaining an overview of how it all works. Every small organization, group of delinquents, or a party of vigilance had one sparkle that kept them running: the Black Market Dealers. I saw gangs trying to please the dealers, go neutral, or even oppose them. Everyone ultimately fell to their knees as the KBM managed to keep itself on the very top every time. I believe this is where I’ve gotten some of my motivation from. The image they managed to form always stays up, barely slipping for others to take advantage of them.

On the side, I have managed to get involved with a couple of BMD businesses to give myself an overview of how they operate. People often see BMDs as god-like beings who can brutally harm you however they want.. but that’s not always the case! They flow like everyone else, managing to build a life beyond the role they were given.

I don’t think my character must obtain this role by how much they slip up and get themselves and others harmed, but it would be pretty satisfying to see how much they have evolved. From a simple person who just wanted to be seen by those around him, to someone who could obtain such a position despite the mayhem he caused unwillingly, is oddly enjoyable.

Being a Black Market Dealer isn’t just about selling illegal stuff. You have to be smart about it. Know when to talk, when to keep quiet, and how to stay calm when things go sideways. When it comes to making deals, I wouldn’t treat it like a basic exchange for currency. I want it to actually mean something. You have to feel the tension, adrenaline, you name it! I'd probably use encrypted passwords for my deals, meeting in a place with a few escape routes, if things end up badly.
What I like most about this role is keeping people guessing. I want them walking away confused, thinking. “Wait... who even was that?” or “What just happened?” That kind of mystery makes things way more fun for everyone, and it’s what I want to bring to the faction.

★ What helps you to stand out from other applicants & what can you uniquely provide to the team?: <<
“I would say I’m unique..?”

Involvement With Criminal Businesses:
Fight club!
“Face the fucking wall or you’ll end up on the streets.”
One of the two businesses I'm involved in is Fight Club, where I currently work as security. I’ve been at it for a few months and enjoy the RP and dynamic it gives. Even if you just have to watch Fight Club as the fighters play their game of punches in the ring, it can always be a bit stressful. You never know when someone might sneak in with a phone or a weapon, cause chaos, or a gang showing up that may demand free access, etc. This role gives you a sense of responsibility that you need to take care of, or else you’ll anger the bosses.

Bounty hunter!
“Who says one isn’t gathering information on your whole bloodline as we speak?”
The second business I managed to grab with my hands is the service of bounty hunters. I got into this business a few months back. Since then, I have started to love it. Seriously speaking, this is an important role that cannot afford any slip-ups. Can’t stay on the sidelines and let the others handle it all because you’ll be deemed as ‘pathetic’ and ‘worthless’, a title that no hunter ever dreams of getting. The members are responsible for fulfilling the hits placed by the directors or other customers. No matter the title someone can hold, nobody is safe. This service requires full accuracy and precision. Teamwork makes the dream work. The hunters are not there to give you a pat on the shoulder. They are there to get rid of those who harm you, who dare to clown you to the ground. They can be your friends or your worst enemy.

I believe these experiences are similar to what BMD will offer. They promote individualism, having to work alone, but also being part of a team to ensure everything runs smoothly

Experience With Gangs:
I was kinda the gangy type. Back in my day.. I’ve partaken in a couple of gangs. Some with a bigger image and others with a smaller one. I wasn’t the type to use perms and simply shank livers left and right, no. I was looking for the RP within. Okay.. believe it or not, I was not okay with using permissions whatsoever. Why would someone take away their ability to run, or straight up place them in the hospital, because of a petty fight? I was okay with consented ones, where no party won. Call me weak-hearted if you want, but I admire every player’s creation.
Though I acknowledge why gangs are probably the biggest face of CrimeRP, trying to come out on top every time with minimal loss. They are the main trouble-makers around the city, and they buy the most % of weapons from the BMD, needing them to continue lingering around the city, harming the public in the process.

Gangs have more potential than people believe. Imagination can turn a simple gang into another form of policing! Or they can adapt to the old lifestyle.. something involving Peaky Blinders if you want! Uniqueness is what brings them to the top. I think the current gangs are doing really well! I see people committing to them and noticing how they want to catch positive attention in different ways.

The RP!
It may seem strange, but I want to join KBM simply because I want to give the other players a chance to RP with me or the other BMDs. I was at the start very shy and could only look up to them; how can I start an interaction with them, get myself recognized, mainly get both parties to have fun? I believe it’s simply just another feeling when a dealer points you out and assigns you to do something without a real reason. You feel like you hold their whole trust on your shoulders, and you must not slip. That’s what I want to do: give more players, beginners or not, a chance to get recognized. I see so much potential in people, and nearly nobody bats an eye - I want to change that.

Activity!
Lastly, I’m a very determined individual when it comes to SRP. I play it every day. The only disadvantage I have is that I can’t stay up late on week days, I have quite a strict schedule, but that doesn’t stop me from playing whenever I’m free. I do believe I’m more active than most players who play SRP, and I’m ready to finally put that to use by joining this faction and having fun in the openings by myself or the others in VC.

★ What previous experience do you have in working with a team?: <<
“Not that many really.. but it counts.”

Government Faction!
My first and only faction that I signed up for so far. I am very fond of this faction and by the memories I created there, it’s truly impressive how everyone is coordinated so perfectly. Every role you can pick has something unique to teach you, so you’ll have to contact another town worker with a different role than yours to resolve a specific issue. And before you say: ‘Oh, but that is more individualistic, right?’ WRONG.. kinda. Yes, they have their unique ups and downs, but what truly gets them cooperative are trials. Everyone gets united there and is made to work together to ensure the trial runs smoothly for everyone. I’d say that’s some teamwork, don’t you think?

Fight Club!
The first BMD business I’ve gotten into! From the start, I noticed how everyone is so closely tied together. Everyone gets their specific roles, and they are meant to follow them strictly. Although during an opening, even if everyone’s roles are so far and different, they still have to work together to ensure no riot or anything worse will happen. They must coordinate very well to ensure the business will keep running in the future.

Bounty Hunters!
There is quite a lot to say about this service; The bounty hunters! Even though they are most of the time assigned to complete tasks individually, they rarely gather around for a meeting and discuss future plans! For nearly any kind of hit job, a handful of hunters gather around and make a well-made plan to ensure that nothing will backfire. You’re also taught how to be quick-minded and have good decision-making in situations that may seem impossible to escape from. I’ll proudly say that no hit done with my help has gone wrong! I will not reveal everything that this business has to offer, but all I can say is that they’re not simply just another group of criminals. They are the group of criminals.

Besides the groups that I’ve stated before, I would also like to add here, as a small note, that I’ve partook a tiny bit into gangs too. Advancing from a simple member to a higher-up, this experience taught me how to act in high-stress situations. You can’t simply freeze there and let the others clean up for you; It’s expected that you’re going to fight for them, for what they believe in!

★ What suggestions do you have to help better the crime faction?: <<
“My ideas are to be shared!..”

Ah, yes, suggestions to help the crime faction. I have a couple of them that I’m ready to share with you and the public. I really hope that my suggestions will be taken into consideration, and if they are, let’s have some fun for both parties, huh?

Chapter I
Weapons:

My first suggestion would be to add some kind of weapon.. “But.. dude?! Don’t we have so many already?” Yes, we do have quite the weapons, but.. you know what I just realized? We have a lot of offensive gear, but... what if we imitate something that only KPD has access to? I shall introduce you to the only.. CRIMINAL SHIELD! Well, it’s not called that, but let me actually tell you my idea.

REINFORCED STREET SHIELD
FACTION ACCESS:
Organized Gangs only
PRICE: ¥350,000
RANGE: 1 block
K.O. (HOW MANY HITS?): 3 hits
MUGGABLE: Yes
ILLEGAL TO CARRY

ABILITIES
Defensive Mode:

Blocks attacks from the FRONT only!
Cannot fight offensively.
May push enemies 1 block away.

Offensive Mode:
No blocking effects.
Can be used while holding a 1/2 block range weapon (spiked glove, knife, wrench, etc)
Requires 1 sharp or 2 successful blunt hits to break through if the shield is targeted.

DESCRIPTION:
A reinforced shield made from scavenged riot gear and reinforced. It's not as strong or wide as a true riot shield, but it offers significant protection from both criminals and cops. I’ll give some scenarios of how this can play out!

Scenario 1: KPD vs Criminal.
One officer decided to chase a person after finding out they had a ballistic on. Sadly for the criminal, they run into an alley with no way out except the path they just came through, but the officer blocked it away. After some bickering and yelling, the criminal pulls out the shield before using it to push through the way.

Screenshot 2025-05-27 200318.png

The cop, confused about what they’re trying to do, decides to call for back-up before firing their taser at the thug, but.. oh wait? Nothing happened. The taser hit the shield, and since the shield’s components are not conductors for electricity, the criminal did not get tased. They keep pushing with all their might to shove the officer to the side before making their escape.

Now, you might think.. Oh, but isn’t this too overpowered? Well, not really. Since the riot shield can be mugged, I thought this reinforced street shield could too! The officer would simply have to risk approaching before throwing the shield away, giving the criminal yet another chance to pull out a knife and stab the cop, so it will definitely be risky!

But it’s not too-too overpowered, right? Well, the officer can simply circle the criminal as many times as they want until the thug’s back is exposed and they can freely fire their taser and stun them!

Oh, and please don’t let me start on how many strategies can be done with simply using these shields!

Scenario 2: Criminal vs Criminal
Let’s say there is a brawl and two gang leaders face off each other. One pulls out a katana, a fierce weapon that can strike fear into their enemies' hearts, and the other leader pulls out a.. spiked bat and a shield! A formidable duo if you ask me.

The first gang leader would have the range advantage, right? They would try to slash the katana’s blade across their chest to claim a simple and easy victory, but.. as they tried that, it failed. The second gang leader was fast enough to put the shield in the trajectory of the katana, reflecting its blade away from their body.

Screenshot 2025-05-27 200540.png

The owner of the katana became furious. How can they end this fight if they can’t strike from afar? They thought of something. The first opponent would cautiously take a couple of steps closer before.. Taking the spiked bat’s hit like a champ. What is he even trying to do? One more slam across their ballistic and they’re done for! After the duo rivals fully approached each other, the first leader would ram his katana through the shield and right through his chest, claiming victory in the end.

A quick run-through of what happened here: The katana can’t strike from afar against an opponent with a shield. They have to get close to them, using all of their strength and the right technique to strike, risking the fight even more before ultimately winning the battle.

- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -

That is sadly my one and only suggestion for the weapon profile. I really looked and thought for a long time, and it simply hit me. What if there was something to.. defend rather than attack? So I came out with this idea!

CHAPTER II
Events:

I was rather ambitious to give more ideas about events that may help the crime community more. Some ideas that you, as a player/criminal, can attend. These events are just ideas that can be simply considered by the BMDs themselves. Well, I won’t get into more details and list some below!

For the first event, I thought it would be fun to simply show the rivalry between the Black Market and the KPD! Or, well, ending it, somewhat. This is what I came up with:

InS-rrt V-IID#O: The HATE towards KPD.

With each passing day, the officers grew increasingly arrogant and self-centered. They think they’re on top of the world, huh? They seized weapons for the bounty hunters, drinks for the fight club, and even supplies that the crime clinic needs. How can they make a profit when they do such unspeakable things? They never did anything to them. Nothing to deserve such a fate.

The dealers arranged a meeting, discussing this irritating subject. They needed to throw them out of their zone. Out of their life - They needed to strike pure fear in them. A plan was made; an arrangement, a truce, if you’d like to call it that. But.. how can they put it in use if.. they won’t listen? When they are simply hungry for fame and money? The lead had a plan for it, like they always do. They needed to get the commissioner.

A plan was set and in place. Every dealer, associate, and even bounty hunter would gather at a table to discuss their job. ‘No matter how many they are, if they are outside of the station, we will strike.’ As it was said, the group began their journey. After weeks of waiting, they finally spotted the commissioner leaving the station to go on patrol with another couple of officers. They gathered everyone in less than 30 minutes and struck. There wasn’t one safe cop. Everyone, in the blink of an eye, got stabbed and left there.. Besides the one and only commissioner. He was... kidnapped? After making their escape, the esteemed leader was placed in a very luxurious chair. They didn’t even break his camera or radio... they had it all on them.

Everyone else was told to leave the room, leaving the dealers to talk with the said executive officer.

The rumors said they lived.. others said they died.. others didn’t say anything; they simply forgot. But one thing was certain. The very next day, someone else was in charge of KPD… and guess what? They never had problems with supplies ever again. Strange, isn’t it?

For the second event, I was thinking of getting gangs more involved. Leaders of the most ferocious gangs are fighting for their own reputation in the BMD's eyes. Who will get out on top?

The Cage: Fight for the throne.

With so many gangs scattered around Karakura, it’s very hard to keep track of each one of them, right? Nexus would have an idea. They would spread the word around that a meeting with every gang will happen on # of #######.

Well, that specific date appeared, and guess what? Nexus was filled with gangs and groups of delinquents, some masked, some carrying weaponry on them.. despite the rules, some simply were there watching.

The one who runs Nexus simply appears in a very elegant dress, presenting tonight’s games. It involved- Damn.. there only was only one game? A monitor would start, revealing two aliases. Those aliases were two of the fiercest gang leaders in Karakura. They got called up on the stage before a quite spacious cage would slowly come out from the roof, dropping it around the representative and two criminals.

One hell of a show, huh? What is this? Fight club? Well, something different. It wasn’t for anyone’s entertainment. Without anyone knowing, it was simply to show if the leaders had what it took to actually lead a gang. Were they empathetic? Maybe they are simply weak overall? Do not be afraid of an army of lions led by a sheep. Be terrified of an army of sheep led by a lion.

It was also said that the winner here would get a prize.. what was it, you may ask? Well, you gotta win to find out.

CHAPTER III
Ideas/Improvements:

My mind could only come up with one main idea. A BMD business? Well, something like that! The suggestion circles about one thing only: an auction house specifically for criminals.

Similar to Fight Club, there will be employees, specifically securities and bartenders, but some other new roles like:
Auctioneer: The main voice of the event. They will greet everyone when everything is in place, and they will also present today’s items. They will also have the duty to present why this specific item is being auctioned there! It can simply be a cursed necklace, a knife that stabbed some important celebrity, and more!

Handlers: This specific role will be tasked with handling the said items. They are granted permission to try them on or demonstrate the pieces, showcasing them to the audience. Some see them as sacrificial lambs, but I see them as individuals with a heart of iron, adrenaline filling their body as they risk their lives trying the auctioned items. To ensure the safety of said items, no employee should be allowed to know what items will be auctioned off. After all, magic can only go so far to keep someone from running.

As I said before, this is the only idea that I’ve come up with. But the real mystery is.. how will people gather such artefacts? There’s only so much more to find out.

After working for a few BMD businesses, I’ve always wondered where they get their supplies. Sure, at Fight Club, bartenders sell their food and drinks to the audience at every opening, but how do they restock? Do they simply buy and resell? In my opinion, a BMD business should make more profit than just reselling some snacks and drinks. But what about Crime Clinic? That’s a business, I assume, that runs on medical equipment. How do they get everything they need?

I’m thinking of making some sort of events/mini-events for those businesses. They should simply break into a place to steal those supplies. I have an idea how Fight Club gets its necessities, but Crime Clinic? I believe there is no place where they can get such supplies. This can also open room for more monthly events!

Full Legal Name:
Managed to make his way into the office before fully noticing TARASQUE. A sigh escaped the man's lips as he cautiously navigated to the empty chair and sat down, legs crossed.

“Shark Meyer.”

He reached out to grab his wallet and slid it across the table. If TARASQUE was curious enough to open it, they would notice the Meyers' ID, confirming his name.
Criminal Alias:
That question left Shark blinking in confusion. Sure, it was obvious someone needed an alias, but the male never thinks ahead most of the time.

“... I think MARIONETTE is good enough for me.”

Shark shifted in his chair, shooting a warm smile towards TARASQUE.
Age & Occupation:
Shark pressed his elbow against the table, leaning forward to rest his head in his gentle hand. His gaze seemed to pass through TARASQUE’s, as if he were looking beyond them.

“You.. have my age there..”

If they averted their gaze, they could notice his actual age: 28, huh?

“I work as a receptionist at an adoption center out of town. I also work part-time as a youth program coordinator. I simply like to spend my time with kids. They make me feel young again..”

He’d nod to himself briefly, shifting his gaze across the room, waiting for TARASQUE to ask another question.
Gender & Marital Status:
A thought crawled into Shark’s mind. Will they judge him? Were they that mean? There’s no time for such thoughts now, but the fish will take their negative comments to heart.

“I am an androgynous male, thank you for asking..?”

Was he being nice? Maybe. He’d retreat his head from his palm, stretching his arms above his head before answering the next question.

“I have a boyfriend.. I should not reveal his name because I don’t like the attention brought up, but. .
yeah.”

Scratched the side of his neck right after. Maybe from the stress this interview was causing, he gasped for air. A faint wheezing sound escaped through the cracks of his lips, but he seemed not to pay much attention to it.
Ethnicity & Race:
Decided to simply tap his finger across the table that separated the two. He’d press his lips together before scoffing. Why was he acting like this all of a sudden?

"Race? I’m Asian. Ethnically… well, I’ve got a warm olive skin tone. It’s said I’m from the cold side of Russia."
Known Languages:
He raised his fist before lifting two fingers.

“I’m fluent in Japanese and Russian.”

Paused for a mere moment, carefully exhaling. Shark dropped one finger, the other one still pointing upwards. The male was tense, he didn’t like that.

“And I speak pretty good German too.. Thanks to my adoptive family in this town.”
Former Associations/Occupations:
Furrowed his eyebrows for a moment. Once again, thoughts start flooding MARIONETTE’s mind. He pressed his lips together. TARASQUE could know everything about him in a heartbeat.. he had no reason to lie about anything.

“I’m not really one to hide my identity. Most people know I’m a bounty hunter and.. I work at the fight club as a security too. Well.. I managed to save my bounty hunter status, making a new account.. lying in ikigai..”

Hissed through his teeth, did he mess up already?

“But.. I have no problem showing those around me who I am.. well, being a dealer is a different story, but.. yeah, I think you get what I mean.”

In fact, TARASQUE may not get what he meant.

“But, before I got that deep in this life, I was once a governor too.. Not the greatest, really.. I had the most complaints in the entire town hall, so stress was inevitable in that period of my time. .”
Highest Level of Education:
He wasn’t the smartest of the bunch street-wise, but he was kinda smart academically! Or at least he liked to think so.

“I graduated from college with a master's degree. I did my last couple of years outside Karakura, so I wouldn’t get distracted by my friends… who weren’t exactly the brightest.”

MARIONETTE kissed his teeth for a moment. What did he forget?

“Oh- my majors are in criminology and law. . And my minor is in political science.. y'know, the whole government thing..”

★ Physical/Mental Ailments: <<

Screenshot 2025-06-01 204032.png

Physical Ailments:

COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) - It’s a long-term lung condition that makes it hard to breathe due to airflow obstruction. Shark has had this condition for quite some time now, unfortunately, advancing to stage 2. Some noticeable symptoms would be: Shortness of breath, wheezing, chest tightness, fatigue, etc. Oh! And he can only hold a ballistic mask for a limited amount of time before needing to take it off and, well, to use his inhaler, fun stuff!

“I just have problems with my lungs, don’t worry.”

Prosthetic - From a recent incident, the poor MARIONETTE was abandoned with a missing pinky. Shortly after this, he got a prosthetic, which he despises. He hates feeling fake. To him, the prosthetic is a foreign object, an intruder with no rightful place on his hand. Still, he needs it to wield weapons properly, to fight at his full capacity.

“Please don’t look at it..”

Mental Ailments:

Trauma-Associated Silence Intolerance - This is more of a descriptive phrase that refers to an emotional response where silence becomes a trigger for distress due to a traumatic event that Shark experienced. If someone starts a conversation and then suddenly goes silent, simply staring into his eyes, he will immediately think he’s in danger even when he’s not. In moments like these, he'll ask frantic questions, act out, or even become violent.

PTSD - You heard that right, the Meyer experienced a traumatic event, which shortly led to him having post-traumatic stress disorder. The poor individual could not find a way to cope with how they treated him. He was tortured physically and mentally. Now, MARIONETTE can’t stand the sound of screeching metal. It triggers him badly, and he will do anything to stop it from happening.

Paranoia/Trust issues - With this person, you can never have a phone out and speak to him at the same time. He will demand to see what the stranger is doing almost immediately. The androgynous male will also think he’s in constant danger. He usually is surrounded by people whom he trusts dearly, so he won’t think he’s going to get attacked. More so on the male’s trust issues. You are given one chance to be his friend. His trust is fragile, and whenever they slip up even once, his coping mechanism might kick in and simply force him to separate from that person. No second chances, nothing.

★ Known Family Members: <<

MARIONETTE hissed through their teeth, staring at TARASQUE for a long time. They never liked giving personal information away, more so about their close family and friends. He bit his cheek before responding to the question.

“I’m part of the Meyer family.. so if you see someone with that last name, that might be my relative.”

Was that a good enough answer? Shark thought it was... but he wasn’t going to say more. He hated this question. The fish was done speaking about this. He will not mention Cassian to just anybody.
Cassian Meyer was his father, one with whom he’s very close. Felix Meyer, his younger sibling, had more issues than a teenager should. And the rest are simply there to fill the void. There are also his biological parents, Caelric and Virelle. What about their last names? He will never speak of them, don’t worry.

★ Describe your character's appearance to the greatest detail: <<

Screenshot 2025-05-28 211811.pngScreenshot 2025-05-28 212345.png

If TARASQUE were to inspect Shark for a bit, the first thing he would probably notice is his warm, glowy skin tone. For someone with such a job, you’d think they wouldn’t have time to take care of themselves, but you could only be so far from the truth. His chocolate brown hair could be observed running across his back like a cascade. He decided the best hairstyle he could choose was messy, as it was easy to maintain.

Glancing at his eyes, a faded blue color could be seen from the dim light that barely lit the room. He was never looking at TARASQUE, no, he was looking at something more complex, like he was trying to decipher what was in the lead’s mind.

A burn scar would be scattered across his neck. Placing it as a reminder when he simply refused orders, when he lied to protect his loved one. But something more interesting than the leader cannot see are the massive burn marks across his torso and his arms. He sadly was a victim of a double lightning strike attack that happened in Karakura around October - a lot of people were hit and rushed to the hospital, including him. The marks stood with him since then, never showing them to anyone. He cares too much about his appearance.

“... Can we move on to the next question?”

Averting their gaze, TARASQUE would observe the male’s neatly painted nails with a pattern of gems scattered across them. Only the prosthetic was not taken care of. Looking back at their face, the feminine and masculine characteristics began to shine. Without talking with him, everyone would have no clue whether Shark was a male or a female.

His medium pitch voice would play a role in the person’s appearance, having it mid-range. But, despite that, he still chose to speak in a friendlier and softer tone. He was like an angel, deciding to rule their prey with the help of their beauty before capturing it.

“Are you trying to piss me off?”

He was getting irritated by the second, not a good sign.

★ Describe your character's personality to the greatest detail: <<

Shark Meyer, who are you truly?
Screenshot 2025-06-01 205000.png

A kind soul that’s slowly withering away.

He tried his best to put a smile on everyone’s lips, but he forgot he needed to have a genuine one too.

That’s the best way to describe how Meyer lived in this town. He got hurt and wronged for only caring about people. MARIONETTE didn’t understand why. Why did it bother people that he cared? A few months ago, he fell in and out of love, giving his heart to people who never even deserved a piece of it. He took care of his close friends, he treated everyone with respect, and put them before himself. That hurt more than it should, and he swore he would never do that again.

Without the mask:
Shark Meyer is the same, or so most people think. But the truth is, he needs to put on an act to make it seem he’s okay. Meyer hates when people keep asking him if he’s good. It pisses him off. He keeps trying his best to cheer everybody up, but not for their sake now, no. He’s doing that for himself, a reminder of how he once was, caring, forgiving, loving, you name it. MARIONETTE is simply tired of how he lives. He’s sick of getting hurt nonstop. He needed a change.

But don’t get me wrong! He still has a painful feeling in his heart about those whom he cares about. Those whom he found worthy of his trust. He will move heaven and earth only to keep them safe, shield them from any unwanted danger. If he finds out his friends are getting hurt, he will not hesitate to simply jump into action and protect them.

Loyal to the core, he will even kneel down towards those whom he truly loves. He handed them his heart, and only a handful of people decided not to break it.

With the mask:
Now you might ask yourself, where does all of his anger go? He must be boiling with it. How does he hold it in?
He doesn’t. Not when the mask is on.

Whenever he has his mask on, he’s a complete and total douche bag. He instigates, insults, and even harms those around him. If you don’t know him personally, you're not safe. He’s going to bitch everyone who even dares to look at him weird. But underneath it all, with the people he trusts, he lets his real self show.
A child at heart, just trying to feel safe.

★ Describe your character's backstory to the greatest detail: <<

Episode 1: A normal day - 4th of September, 2001.

Shark- or well, that wasn’t his name at that time, but that is irrelevant now. The family he was born into was very cultural. Shark’s father, Caelric, worked as a police officer in a small and snowy town. Being raised in the cold side of Russia, the cold was inevitable. The poor fish’s family was far from perfect, too. His father was a workaholic, rarely around for his wife and kid. Some people used to joke that he was sleeping at the job just to rack up more hours. An individual who could not distribute his time with his family, a poor case. When he was home, he was either too tired to talk or lost in his own thoughts, staring through walls like he wasn’t really there. Shark’s mother, Virelle, stayed at home to take care of him and the house. It wasn’t a big place, but it needed constant attention, and she made sure it got it. She was always moving something, always making food, always cleaning, always trying to keep things together

Shark, as a miracle coming from heaven, was a warm-hearted child. He was going to school with nobody’s help, was interactive, making friends quite easily at his age, and was always happy. At home, he was sticking by his mother’s side to keep her company, striking up conversation so the time would pass faster. Whenever his dad managed to come home, the fish would simply stay by his side, keeping quiet. He was exactly what his parents wanted: a child who would cause little to no problems while they were trying their best to survive.

Episode 2: Loneliness - 31st of January 2007

After years of the same routine, Virelle finally had enough. She started to let things go, stopped taking care of the house. Caelric noticed, of course, and the arguments began. But what he didn’t realize was that she needed attention, too. She had spent years simply taking care of this household, and the only warmth she ever got in return came from Shark. The kid tried. He really did. But it never seemed to be enough. Shark could simply go into his room and weep at the sound of harsh words and breaking dishes echoing in the house he was born into. In the mornings, he picked himself back up and tried to patch things together between his parents. But it was no use. Everybody knew they couldn’t simply divorce. They played two very different roles that complemented each other, yet somehow, they were slowly tearing one another apart.

At school, the teenager was no different. His grades were still excellent, managing to get into a couple of clubs, one of them being the cooking club, so he could help his mom more at home. He even started thinking about ways to make money, to find some kind of side hustle. But he was still too young.. He could only help and share his love towards his parents equally, hoping it would ease the tension.
That did not happen.

Episode 3: The loss - 15th of March 2015

At last, Shark turned 18 and even got a part-time job at a rundown restaurant; it was nothing too crazy, but it worked to earn a couple of money for his family. They all shared a bank account, so every bit counted. On one particular night shift, Shark kept his head down and worked hard, quietly praying his parents wouldn’t fight while he was gone. He couldn’t stop them now, not while he was stuck washing dishes and clearing tables. All he could do was hope. When his shift ended around 6 AM, he grabbed his jacket and began the long walk home through the snow. That specific morning felt colder than usual. He didn’t like the feeling, but he told himself that once he got home, he could nap a bit and then help his mom like he always did.

After 25 minutes of walking through the stormy morning, he finally saw the outline of his house. A warm smile formed on his lips, only to be washed away after he glanced at the scene in front of him. Two paramedics were carrying his mother into an ambulance. His father stood just outside the house in handcuffs, flanked by two officers leading him to a patrol car.
‘What the hell was happening?’
His heart dropped. For him, he thought this day was like any other, they'd just argued themselves to sleep again. But something was different this time.

Shark ran to his father, desperate for answers. The officers kept him back, barely glancing his way. But from what he managed to overhear, the truth shattered him:
Caelric had killed Virelle during an argument.

Episode 4: The forced beginning

Shark couldn’t believe it. He couldn’t think his own father, the one he was so dear to, managed to do such an unforgivable act. Numb and shaking, Shark wandered into the nearest bar and sat down at the counter. He dug into his frozen pocket, pulled out his phone, and stared at the screen. Who could he even call? What could he do? He couldn’t leave his father behind… but how could he stay? The fish would shake his head before he hit a breaking point. His hands trembled as he dialed a taxi service. A car was sent right away, and within minutes it arrived, idling quietly outside. He climbed in and gave one instruction: take him to the airport.

After that, he just moved through images. He remembered he tipped the driver his whole wallet only to take him to the closest airport, which was around one hour away. On the way there, he somehow managed to order a ticket to the next plane that was coincidentally heading towards Karakura by using his phone. He didn’t hesitate. He completed the transaction using his family’s shared account before simply throwing his wallet out of the window. He doesn’t know why he did that to this day.

Now, years later, he regrets that decision. But there’s no going back.

★ Describe an interaction that your character may have as a black market dealer: <<

A visit to an ungrateful gang.
(This interaction is directed to no specific gang; it’s just a scenario!)

The dripping sound would echo across the sewers as MARIONETTE had to find his shipment. It had been 15 minutes already, and it was still unlucky. Where was it? Frustration overcame the male as he finally spotted it.

But, to the adult’s shock, someone dared to pry it open, or at least try to. Shark glanced at his two associates, who were right behind him, whispering in a soft tone.

‘Make him disappear for just thinking about touching that crate, nonetheless, actually doing so.’

He’d sigh, giving the associates a moment to take care of before walking towards the crate. He’d open it, grabbing the pocket knife and bat that simply sat inside it.

“FUCK HIM, WE’RE LEAVING.”

That was his first ever deal. How can he be a dealer when he was about to mess up at his first order? He’d furrow his brows, angered by this situation. The Meyer waited for the associates to come, only to be surprised by some unexpected news.

“Boss.. you know the gang that allegedly claimed the power plant..? I think that was one of their higher-ups.” The associates mumbled through their teeth.

The already mad MARIONETTE simply threw them an affirmative nod before gesturing to follow him. Without a care in the world, he told the customer to meet by the 11/7 sewers before successfully completing the transaction. Even if everything went somewhat smoothly, he was still irritated. Gangs were supposed to be by the dealer’s side, no? What was the leader even teaching them?

“Fuck it, I’m closing. We’re going to pay them a visit.”

What could the poor associates do? Disagree? They were bloodthirsty too; they wanted some action, and Shark was ready to give them that. After forming a plan in his head, he’d simply head towards that designated place equipped with a naginata. Upon arriving there, he could barely glance at the guard who was guarding the front. They could only glance at the 3 individuals equipped to the brim with weaponry as they walked past him. What were they gonna do? Stop them?

“I want to meet your boss!” MARIONETTE said in a loudish tone, expecting someone to come, and to everyone's shock, someone did come. After some nonsense chit chat, the group was slowly led downstairs to where the leader resided. The Meyer gave them a cold and intense stare before speaking in a rather rash tone.

“How the fuck do you run this shithole?

The leader looked rather taken aback by the dealer’s approach, a knot forming in their neck.

“I.. teach them w-what honor and all works.. how to survive on the streets, allat.”

The androgynous male would raise his eyebrow, leaning against the naginata that was simply supporting his body weight.

“Oh yeah? Do you fucking survive on the streets by stealing my crates, huh? Do you?”

The leader twitched before standing.

“Excuse me..?”

But the newly hired dealer did not have it at this current time and moment.

“I SLAUGHTERED YOUR FUCKING MEMBER BECAUSE OF THIS, YOU ARROGANT PIECE OF SHIT.” A harsh thing to say to a maybe empathetic leader. Killing one of their own and even admitting to it was a very bold move. He didn't really do it, but he likes to take credit for other people’s work.

“I’m sorry I-I never taught them to do s-such acts..”

But the rage in MARIONETTE’s body couldn’t take it anymore. It was boiling for quite some time, and this set him off. He’d simply thrown the naginata towards one of the associates, expecting them to catch it before walking towards the leader. He’d glare at them behind their mask before sending their fist clashing against their skull, knocking them to the floor.

“If I ever see one member trying to do such horrid acts, I will come after you, after your family, and even your gang. Nobody is safe, do you understand?”

The leader kept quiet for a moment, maybe shocked by what just happened, but Shark wasn’t going to give them one moment to rest. He’d raise his fist before slamming it across the small table that separated them. Alas, the leader finally spoke.

“OKAY- Okay.. I’ll talk with them- y-you got my word.”

The fish scoffed before turning away. He’d snap his fingers towards the two associates before walking out of the power plant. Such a scene, huh?

★ Describe any other additional information that is notable in considering your character for the role of a black market dealer: <<

Despite what you might think, Meyer didn’t want to join the Black Market Dealers to protect anyone, not his friends nor his family. He came for himself. After months of being manipulated and tossed around, MARIONETTE finally broke the strings. He’s not here to be a hero or simply a pawn in someone else’s game. He’s here because he’s done being weak.

This decision was not born from love, but from hate towards humanity. Shark grew tired of being used and left behind. Every betrayal and lie cracked his heart more until all that was left was a cold result. Joining this faction isn’t a fall from grace. This is the first time he stood up for himself, truly and selfishly. In a world that taught him that kindness is weakness, he decided to prioritize power and control over everything else.
