Describe your activity on the server:

Rating: ★★★★☆ (8 / 10)

I will not claim I'm perfect but I strongly advocate for the activity I have on the server. I am on for hours a day, often alternating accounts or remaining longer on ones with dedications that are extensive. In this case, if I were EMS, it would take priority. I have especially been spending more time upon the FaerTheFeared account.

What experiences do you have with roleplay?:

General Experience

Roleplay! I have thoroughly enjoyed roleplay, whether this was on SRP or not. Initially, I started my roleplay experience in text based servers on alternative platforms. This was a place where individuals could excel at any kind of literature and learn based on those they interacted with. Through this, I advanced my literature greatly. I did this for years prior to SRP. Roleplay has been a long time passion and I have yet to lose it, a large driving factor in the pursuit of EMS.

SRP General Experience

I joined SRP two years and a few months ago. Throughout all of my SRP career, one goal has remained clear in sight, something I have desired to achieve. This relates to EMS. When I initially started out, EMS was one of the places I found intriguing through their diverse yet effective roleplay skills. I believe in such an environment, I can continue to improve and learn. My interactions with EMS consisted of times they had treated various ailments from my characters, including concussions where I acquired paracetamol and got to witness the in-character prescription handed out. I’ve also had doctor visits where my character was injured and they detailed the procedure with words I didn’t even know of at the time. EMS as a faction has retained my interest all these years, and it is something I have decided to pursue now after acquiring more SRP knowledge and experience to better accommodate for the role.

I have also worked in group environments that require communication to some degree. For example, I work in four SRP shops throughout my duration on SRP. These shops are Umisachi, Yeobo, Tsuki no Umi and Pinkumo. The first few were introductions to the world of work in SRP and how to function in a team setting to complete a similar task. In this case, operating a store until closure. Security ensures things go according to plan and Cashiers handle the money received for the shop as well as items given. In the case of a restaurant like Tsuki no Umi, Cooks, Waiters and Greeters must communicate frequently during service so things go smoothly. Greeters notify waiters of when their respective tables have been filled by them while waiters relay information to the cooks to get the food cooking! It takes a certain level of responsibility to show up and log everything correctly or be uniform in the case of restaurant operation.

In addition to professional shops, I have also been in proper respected gangs. For example, Immertreu. Here we must delegate tasks and ensure that everything is followed correctly in situations of combat. Organization is key, as well as being able to listen to instructions and integrate it into actions. PainRP is also very important! This requires you to know the correct responses to certain levels of pain and understanding the severity of the injury is a useful tactic learned through this. It can manifest a reasonable knowledge of proper responses.

Exploring all places in SRP, I happened to come across the Gardening Club. The people here are lovely and have taught me about different plants and such. I’ve had various opportunities to roleplay amongst members, and even had an in-character interview to be accepted into said club. This was full detailRP! Although not pertaining too closely to EMS other than medical remedies plant wise, it is still incredibly beneficial for roleplay experience.

Aside from SRP official things, I have entered SRP families. The first one was Sumisu. When they were active, they developed extensive lore amongst each other, driving each other through vast stories and turmoil. However, it did take up a lot of my younger roleplaying days. A few months ago I joined the Ai family as well. This is a heavy lore based biological family. Hours of detail roleplay is spent within the family and externally between the public. This is always enjoyable, and it has allowed me to develop my characters with a deep understanding of mentality and how to express it. Everything has a reason.

SRP Sports & Faction

Sports! This is an important factor in my roleplay career on SRP as I have been in the HS Swim team for a year and six months now. These people are incredible, even the ones who came and went. I have learned various writing techniques from them. Despite being the Swim team, we have activities that branch all throughout. Even Archery! Here I learnt extensive P2L, Rivalry and functioning further under a group setting. Slowly, I advanced into a well respected member and even acquired the current Co-Captain role, helping in the planning of activities as well as managing when needed. This in itself displays a level of reliability, as well as my extensive roleplay knowledge and variety!

Factions are a large part of SRP, and this is why I started with a lighter faction for introduction into the SRP faction space. I have been in government for a year on May 31st. I have been dedicated to this faction, always achieving quota and branching out into the adult community of SRP. Here I learned to function on an even larger scale to SRP sports. This is where we were held at a high responsibility, being able to positively or negatively affect a character with our decisions. I learned the material I was taught and even pursued asking questions when I was unsure of my course of action. Prior to its off duty schedule, my lawyer would spend time roleplaying with those outside of town hall, returning when in need. However, after the change the focus drifted on properly developed friendships with my coworkers. This included roleplay where we could simply sit at the front desk and have a whole detailRP talk to bide the time. I have adored sustaining friendships and interacting with coworkers. It has aided in my communication skills and is overall just fun.

What is your motivation for applying?

Personal Goals

As stated briefly in the prior question, I have maintained an interest in EMS for the several years I have been on this server. I have made many of my characters aspire to be a doctor or psychiatrist, and I believe that with my broadened understanding of SRP, it is a good time to officially achieve and reach for my goal. The roleplay aspect is exciting for me, and I’d thoroughly enjoy expanding upon what I have already built. I have not had many opportunities to do medical roleplay, and even though a psychiatrist avoids the physical blood aspect of EMS, it aligns with my extensive interest in psychology and the communication skills necessary to do the job effectively. Various of my friends who have been in / are currently in EMS have noted that it is an incredibly enjoyable faction. I believe it will be the correct fit for me. Why have I chosen Psychiatrist over Doctor? Well referencing back to what I previously said, developing connections through communication is something I strive for. In this instance, I can create professional yet profound bonds with patients and coworkers alike. There are chances of those revisiting for a check up or a therapy session. It has also been an interest for me to pursue in real life as well. Mental health and physical health is something that directly affects our lives day to day, and anyone could be going through something. Part of me would love to follow through with this on SRP and better grasp the possible similarities to an in real life career path in this field.

Character Goals

The character I am applying with has a deeper connection to the medical world than all of the ones I have played. It makes natural sense she would attempt to pursue a job in Karakura’s EMS. However, there are things I’d like to achieve with this character. I’d like to enter a community both in character and out that shares similar interests to my character and I. I believe EMS will allow me to do so. It will also aid in further developing my character and integrating another chapter into her life centred around Karakura medical care. I’d also like my character to have the opportunity to interact with the community of SRP more, as well as myself. Being in EMS would allow for this to occur, especially due to the constant interaction between the general population. The hospital is often utilized, and even then, I’d have fantastic coworkers to interact with on a regular basis. Something I don’t desire to pass up!

Which role are you applying for?

I am applying for the EMS role of Psychiatrist at the entry level position “Psychiatrist Trainee.”

What knowledge do you have of the roles within the Hospital Faction?

Doctors

The Doctors of Karakura are responsible for adhering to most of Karakura’s physical ailments. They are allowed to make physical diagnosis through regular checkups and such. Doctors may also perform things like risky surgeries! The physical diagnosis can aid with a psychiatrist’s mental one due to the fact some physical illnesses can be caused by mental health. They may also prescribe medication that a psychiatrist can get for you. Roleplay revolving around minor injuries and even fatal ones is what Doctors are about!

Psychiatrists

Psychiatrists are equally a large part of EMS as the rest of its sub factions! As a psychiatrist, you must be understanding of a patient’s mental state. They study to be aware of different mental illnesses and can provide diagnosis for mental health related things. Jobs within EMS regarded for Psychiatrists involve medication distribution, check ups, therapy, and referrals.

In addition to this, Psychiatrists are responsible for monthly KPD psychiatric evaluations. A list of available psychiatrists and available KPD members will be provided and organized by time zone (i.e., America, EU). Although it is not mandatory to have matching time zones, it is simply easier to plan with closer time zones. Pinged Psychiatrists and KPD members are told to DM regarding their top 3 choices of those mentioned in the discord message.

Paramedic

Paramedics race across town in their ambulance to ensure the safety of those affected when they are notified of an emergency call. These first responders are trained in addition to having been another hospital worker.

The only way to achieve paramedic is through passing a residence examination as a doctor or psychiatrist. Through there, you’re able to contact the Director or Chief Paramedic to see if you can be considered when there is an open slot available to be filled.

Quota & Training

Within EMS, a hospital worker is expected to reach 20 points of quota minimum, giving the individual ¥200,000. The maximum amount a worker can receive from a paycheck is ¥400,000, however they must complete a total of 40 quota points. Quota points work per month and are issued a set amount depending on the task achieved.

Similar to most factions, there will be the introductory part that acquaints each person with the faction and tasks required of them! Never left in the dark. Documents will remind you in need.

Perscriptions

My experience as a client to the hospital faction has even crossed paths with necessary perscriptions. In prior books, the full name of the patient is stated as well as the medicine perscribed to said patient. There will be a section to describe all relative symptoms the patient is experiencing and the respective hospital staff signature who assigned the perscription (in EMS number format. I.e., EMS25). Following this is an expiration date to ensure that all perscriptions are handled with legitimacy. In conculsion to the perscription, there is the Director's signature. I am unsure if this method / book has changed, however this is what I have received in the past.

Lawyer Experience Attributing to Knowledge

I’ve always paid attention to Emergency Discord. Through here, I’ve learned various things that can display the lengths in which I desire to express my interest! The first notable thing is the events hosted for EMS and KPD. Once bearing witness to the channel in which these were posted as a lawyer, it had always caught my interest. Rarely have there been events for town, and I thoroughly enjoy the effort to maintain the working relationship of KPD and EMS. That being said, EMS workers must communicate with KPD frequently! Several cases often lead back to the Hospital and it is not a far stretch to see EMS and KPD together in the hospital lobby. The next notable thing is the radio system I am aware of. As a lawyer, we have one with KPD. However, due to this I am aware of the one between KPD and EMS. These are used in serious situations where both factions are required to work effectively. In addition to these aspects, I am aware of the off topic channel where daily chatter with coworkers and associates are welcomed!

Do you acknowledge that if training is held whilst you are online, you are expected to attend or you will be punished?

Of course! This is important and should be strictly followed. It ensures the faction is active and it’s simply respectful. EMS comes above any roleplay.

SECTION 1: PERSONAL DETAILS

Character’s Full Name:

Upon initial interaction, the woman smiled towards the director in a warm gesture of acknowledgement. She followed the customs valued in Japan, bowing towards the individual before taking a seat for the interview ahead. When asked the question, she parted her supple lips to form a sentence with a thick German accent present despite the seemingly fluent Japanese, “Pleasure to meet with you. My full name is Cinder Schneidewind. I will go by Dr. Schneidewind in your establishment.

Character’s Gender & Pronouns:

I identify with my birth gender, therefore I am a woman. However, I follow the pronouns She / they. Many mistake me as male, yet this is alright with me as I can politely guide them in the correct direction,” She would nod in agreement to her own statement, solidifying her dedication to the way in which she’d handle said situation when coming to terms with it.

Character’s Age (if accepted):

Her crystal blue hued gaze softened at the notion. Oh how the time had passed. Humor did not escape the lady either, not entirely rigid and formal, “A woman never speaks her age,” she chuckled lightly, faint and airy as she continued, “I am approximately twenty eight years of age, going on twenty nine this summer in August.

Character’s Academic Background:

I have a Bachelor of Science, focusing on Psychology. I took this for four years from eighteen to twenty two. I did fairly well, excelling nearly top of my class,” She smiled fondly, as if she was warmed by some memories that resurfaced at the mention, “In addition, I have attended Medical School and completed it from twenty two to twenty six.

Character’s Nationality:

The woman nodded, sitting with an upright posture that suggested she was proud and focused on the conversation at hand, “All of my family is German, or Deutsch. That’s the German word for well… German!” She settled back in her seat, her hands clasping together in her lap.

Character’s Marital Status:

Cinder raised a brow at the question, though it was clear she wasn’t particularly surprised, “I am as single as a lonely but content pringle.

Character’s Religious Denomination:

I have no particular religious denomination, and I am accepting of those around me who do. We all have beliefs and opinions. As long as it's hurting no one, we’re all alright,” She shifted so her right hand could form a small thumbs up for a fleeting moment. It vanished as rapidly as it had arrived.

Character’s Spoken Languages (Native Underlined):

Ja! I speak German, which is my native, and learned Japanese to fluency once moving to Karakura,” she released a small exhale as if to rid of any excess nerves internally.

Character Backstory:

Background

Cinder was born in Heidelberg, Germany, to the purely German household of Schneidewind. Her mother was a local bakery owner while her father was the breadwinner, a doctor. She had an older brother named Arden who pursued police work during his educational years. Throughout her childhood, Cinder was helped through various points in her life by her loving family who appeared to support her in whatever she chose to do. Looking up to her father, Cinder always recognized that she’d attempt to be a hospital worker when she grew up. Originally, she desired to be a doctor. However, this was soon to change. One night, she witnessed her father stealing from the hospital he worked at. At the time, she was young and was kept quiet. As the years passed, she felt increasingly perturbed by what she knew was going on behind the scenes. An incident occured when Cinder was in high school where her father had disappeared in the night. She decided to follow him, finding out he had been having an affair against her mother. She frantically told her mother when she arrived home, to which she retaliated with a large argument when he got home. It ended in police sirens, red and blue lights casting a looming shadow against the walls of their house. Her mother notified authorities of his medical malpractices, far worse than just stealing. He was arrested and soon prosecuted. This is the point where Cinder realized the multitude of lives her father had ruined. Although she theorized why he may have done these things, she never came to a suitable conclusion. Nothing would excuse this either way. She shifted her views of medical care, desiring to pursue psychiatry instead. She held a passion for it, yet the stain of doctor still runs true in her own mind. A mental hurdle. She both sought to understand why her father did what he did, and to fix something that wasn’t her fault to begin with. She simply felt liable. Such are the difficulties of mental health.

Lore Reasoning for Pursuing Psychiatry

Due to her father’s negligence, Cinder has long felt a desire to fix what her father had failed to provide. Although he was a doctor, his malpractice caused mental hurdles for those who suffered underneath him. She realizes she cannot undo what her father has done, and thus her goal is to better the Schneidewind surname as well as help those through trauma moving forward. She strove to pursue psychiatry as a means to clear herself and aid others, vowing to be the trustworthy medical professional her father should have been.

SECTION 2: MEDICAL HISTORY

What is your character’s medical speciality? Why did they choose this focus?

(Ensure this is appropriate to the position you have chosen. Some examples can be found here)

Specialty

Cinder’s medical specialty lies in Psychiatry. However, her subspecialties within the psychiatry field is psychosomatic medicine. Those who study Psychosomatic Medicine focus on ailments that appear to have no connection with any biological issues. These are physical illnesses caused by presumed mental health. For example, if one is stressed or feeling a deep sense of depression, their chest may begin to feel clouded, heavy and constricted. Insomnia is another possible result in the Psychosomatic disorder sphere. The job of someone in this particular speciality would be to first understand the source material and that these are quite real things, then move on to the proper solution. This can align with prevention or treatment of the mental illness itself, effectively limiting these feelings that translate into real life and disrupt it.

IC Explanation

Out of all the subspecialities, Cinder found this one the most intriguing. She felt the overwhelming urge to help people, especially in relation to her own father’s shortcomings. Yet, she found it further beneficial to aid on the spectrum of physical and mental ailments since they are intertwined by a thick layer of obscurity. She also experienced other students amongst her struggle with those who did not take such physical issues seriously when linked to mental health. It made her desire to become a source of relief. In doing so, she would need to know the correct solutions. She delved into the subject, infatuated with the idea of being useful. She simply wanted to undo what her father had done from the start. Now, she found genuine interest and care for such a topic. Learning about this has helped in her own life with her mental health regulation and knowledge of physical symptoms potentially relating to mental issues.

Does your character have any work experience in medical positions?

Schneidewind has completed approximately two years of her Psychiatry Residency in Germany. This has provided her with some skills required to utilize psychiatry independently. Here she learned how to diagnose and regulate mental health conditions under a watchful eye, putting her studying into physical practice. She was taught various therapy methods and was given the opportunity to research further into psychiatry. She often attended occasional lectures and participated in projects with other residents. She learned first hand the several medications that could be prescribed to patients for different needs. Typically, Psychiatry Residency lasts around four years, however she had to move to Karakura as an emergency and thus it was partially interrupted. She excelled in her work, however.

SECTION 3: CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE

Describe your character; how do they look, what makes them unique? How would they be perceived by others?

Description:

Cinder is one you could perhaps easily spot amongst a crowd of individuals. Aside from her stature of 5’9 / 175 cm, the woman has soft brown hair that cascades down her figure until around her abdomen. In several instances her locks are noted to have a ginger hue when underneath warm light. Due to the style of her hair that causes it to appear intentionally tousled, many have difficulty distinguishing her gender upon first glance. Contrasting with the warmth of her aesthetic, Schneidewind has an alluring gaze of pure crystalline blue. Amidst the dim reflection of the sun’s rays upon the moon, her eyes appear to glow with an almost heavenly passion. Another factor that draws an eye to the young woman is the visible piercings that glint upon her visage. This consists of snake bite piercings through her lower lip and a metallic left eyebrow piercing. Apart from the noticeable features, Cinder also has art beneath her apparel. Traversing her frame, a sacred tree climbs up her left leg and wraps around to the centre of her torso on both sides. This held particular meaning to Cinder. It references life, something she has sworn to protect and uphold. To overcome her past, and be better than those before her. Her left arm also harbours a mark akin to an irregular star formation. This is a birthmark situated upon the side of her cubital fossa (inside of her elbow). Her family believes it is a staple of concealed luck within. As she speaks, there is a thick German accent that erupts in a soft welcoming tone. A small quirk of hers is that she accidentally shifts to German occasionally in conversation as she is not a native Japanese speaker.

Perception:

Statement from Overseer

Mrs. Schneidewind is known as an incredibly diligent student who is meticulous in her aspirations of learning the medical field. Her organization of information was properly recorded in several notebooks, even taking the liberty to illustrate some concepts. Approaching the world with a positive yet realistic mindset, her expressions are considerate of those around her who may be suffering with unspoken woes. Her touch is gentle and her words are often soft spoken, yet not sugar coated. Her honesty reigns as true as an arrow, and she is always careful to take care of sanitary procedures. When it comes to serious situations among colleagues, she is relatively formal and maintains adamancy on the vision ahead. With her clients, she is nurturing in a motherly fashion, utilizing that human instinctual bond to welcome patients into the embrace of professional help.” — Dr. J. Köhler

IC Response

Cinder shifted within the seat provided to her by the Director’s office, adjusting to another position more suited for comfortability and a display of attentiveness, “I am perceived by others as kind and caring for those in need. I carry a heavy desire to aid the general public and prove that I can be efficient and trusted among the community. I’d like to allow for the public to have solace in this crime-stricken area, where I’m aware many unfortunate situations have caused long lasting trauma.” She paused, allowing the individual interviewing her to digest the information present. After plotting her next phrases in reference to her appearance, she began in German, “Was mein Aussehen betrifft-” she lightly caressed the top of her hand with her thumb nervously as she converted back to Japanese, “As for my appearance, I have body modifications such as piercings. Especially when faced with a proper job such as this, I’d remove said piercings to appear more inviting and share a higher integrity. Piercings in the medical field often detour patients for the idea that they are unprofessional or alluding to ill nature. Of course, times are changing, however I believe it is important to maintain a trustworthy appearance. In the case I maintain the piercings, ensuring they are secure in place at all times is necessary and top priority, especially for sanitary reasons.

How does your character act around the hospital?

On Duty

When on duty, the woman retains a kind personality, yet is more strict and firm when the time calls to take action. In slower times such as school (when Nurses deal with minor injuries), Cinder will entertain her coworkers with conversation and offer to fetch them coffee while they await patients. As soon as someone who requires aid steps into the hospital, her demeanor shifts to be focused and diligent whilst also aiming to appear welcoming to the individual(s) before her. However, regardless of hospital activity, she strives to ensure everyone is comfortable and taken care of. She understands that the hospital can get busy, and that opens up opportunities for workers to neglect their own wellbeing. When school is out and EMS witnesses a rise in clients, Cinder would be attentive and keep a level head. She would do her job efficiently, not stressing over quantity over quality. She is a firm believer that the quality of hospital service is important for the effectiveness of a treatment. She will do her absolute best to support the hospital as they manage through patients.

Off Duty

Contrary to her on duty personality, Cinder is much more carefree when enjoying leisure. She spends her time with colleagues (when they are off duty as well) and shares food with everyone available. In her free time, Schneidewind takes up giving the public some snacks with a portion of the pay she receives as a psychiatrist. At home, she enjoys baking and literature, whether that be writing, illustrating or reading. When socializing with Cinder, it is common for her to appear friendly and generous. She visibly enjoys making people smile and ensuring they are comfortable.

Does your character function better on their own or with others?

The woman released a low hum underneath her breath as if considering an adequate response to the question at hand. She tilts her head ever so slightly, her toffee locks rustling briefly whilst her supple lips parted, “Functioning in the context of better is subjective. However, if you gaze at consultations in the perspective that they are separate from coworkers, then I am good at this. Under my own examination, communicating with clients forms an important aspect of being a psychiatrist; thus causing the job to be the lens of collaborative efforts rather than alone. Emphasizing on the importance of working with others comes around to the socialization between other EMS staff to help individuals get to where they need to be mentally and physically. I try my best to provide an exceptional service, and by that standard I place myself as a well trained student with skills both in union among others or what most might classify as alone.
