This is a glitch that sometimes happens, I'd make a bug report here on the forums via Bug Reports just in case staff don't already know about it. But to fix it do /setage 13 to correct it, if that doesn't work make a ticket by doing /ticket create helper message and ask for it to be fixed.

The client you find best for you is going to heavily depend on what you are wanting out of it. If you want something that focuses heavily on performance and running at lower costs against your computer and ease of use I'd go with Feather, if you want something that still focuses on performance...
