Describe your activity on the server:
While I might sound like a total chud describing my activity, um.. try not to think too much about it!
I'm online pretty much every day. My activity on just my main account (kittyp4wz) is 32w 8h. On a scale of one to ten, I would say my activity level sits at a solid 8.5. I've been on the server for nearly three years now, meaning I've had tons of time to gather experience and fix things to fit my schedule. Speaking of schedules, I've attached mine below in the form of a chart and included times I am typically available. :3
MONDAY | TUESDAY | WEDNESDAY | THURSDAY | FRIDAY | SATURDAY | SUNDAY |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
3:30 PM - 10:00 PM | 3:30 PM - 10:00 PM | 3:30 PM - 10:00 PM | 3:30 PM - 10:00 PM | 3:30 PM - 1:00 AM | 10:00 AM - 1:00 AM | 10:00 AM - 1:00 AM |
These times are subject to change: I may be at the gym or potentially not have school! I will always give updates on long-term activity changes, such as vacations or breaks for my own physical and/or mental health.

What position are you applying for (Maiden or Priest)?
Maiden
What is your motivation for applying?
In all honesty, despite being both a Psychiatrist and Cheerleader, I still find spare time without anything to do... which kind of sucks.
My interest lies in finding another sense of community and getting the chance to explore other religions and the cultures surrounding them! The Shrine faction has almost always been of interest to me- the events held and services provided only intrigued me more. Having been on this server as long as I have, I've been to countless Monastery events that have such a WOW factor that /I/ want to be part of it. This faction has a way of pulling you in, really, given how kind and welcoming everybody is. I would also love to learn more about Shintoism, as briefly covered earlier in my response. ^ _ ^ I've applied for this faction before and was denied, so I thought I may as well give it another shot now that I've grown. This faction fits my character the best, and I would have the best chances at character growth and development in this faction, it seems! (Another strong push for me was Mia's character, Utahito. If you're reading this... THANK YOU! I saw him literally thriving and decided to finally go through with writing an application of my own with newfound confidence.)
What do you currently know about Shintoism? Are you willing to learn more about it?
Currently speaking, I only know a select few ideals and beliefs. Shintoism falls under the eyes of the Kami, sacred spirits. Humans can become Kami after death, and the divine energy of these spirits is everywhere: rivers, Mother Nature, animals, really just the Earth as we know it. Rather than following strict commandments, you honor the Kami through offerings and cleansing. Rituals like harai cleanse things such as death, misdeeds, disease, as well as things similar to what I've just listed.
Seasonal events such as festivals bring people together to honor the Kami through traditional dances, music, and food! The primary, sacred dance often performed by Shrine staff is called Kagura! It features masks, art, music, and all things dramatic. It serves as a way to entertain the Kami and tell their story in a way that captivates others. I am always willing to learn more about Shintoism, given that my interests are similar to those of my character Aseka.

Backstory

CHARACTER KNOWLEDGE / SITUATIONSHow does your character act around shrine grounds? How do they interact with guests and other staff?
Kagura spends her time tending to the upkeep of the shrine grounds, whether that be cleaning or paying her utmost respect to the Kami through offerings and prayer. The albino woman interacts with other staff respectfully, making conversation, helping both wherever and whenever she can. Human interaction is something she cherishes and holds close to her heart! Kagura, being the curious woman that she is, adores learning more about other people. She happily welcomes guests with open arms, answers whatever questions may be thrown her way, and provides services with a warm smile on her face. The only thing one may ever find her complaining about is the Sandō. Believe it or not, she isn't a big fan of the journey all the way up to the shrine. Catch her tripping a time or two. . .
You see a guest jumping around the roofs of the building and overall disrespecting shrine grounds, how would your character handle it?
While she can't necessarily /see/ anybody jumping on the roofs of the Shrine or disrespecting the grounds overall, she'd certainly be able to hear it all. Not many people can successfully be entirely silent whilst combating wooden shingles or bark... even if it takes a guest reporting the culprit. She'd make her way over, kindly ask the individual to safely leave the roof, and explain why it's disrespectful. If that doesn't seem to work, she would resort to removal from the shrine grounds, even if calling KPD is deemed necessary. Kagura has been through more than enough to understand that disrespect will not be tolerated.
Why does your character want to become a shrine maiden/priest? What do they wish to achieve?
Aseka grew up with Shinto beliefs; her family was more traditional than anything else. For this reason, she's found herself set on becoming a maiden for the Shinei Seinaru Monastery. Kagura spent the early years of her life travelling after college, visiting countless places with diverse cultures, religions, and communities. Now that she's almost 30 years of age, she's found that she feels about ready to settle down and take things slowly. She wishes to achieve something final. Something unlike what she's used to - nothing fleeting. A strong sense of security and familiarity. Given how much she's moved around, her brain is scrambled! Kagura wants a place to call home while being able to respect those who came before her - who look out for her despite it all - the Kami.
What are the core values of your character? (OPTIONAL - MORE INFO IN FAQ)
Growth: Kagura is big on there always being /more/ to learn, understand, and conquer. If she were able to handle teaching the youth of Karakura, that is what she would do, yet she isn't a fan of traditional educational systems. She believes growth comes from real-world experiences and opportunity. Aseka says she's learned more from travelling than she did in school. If you wait until you're ready, you'll be waiting your entire life. Nobody wants that, correct?
Independence: If you want it done right, do it yourself. Always have your own way home, never owe anybody anything, and always have your own form of payment. You cannot help other people if you aren't able to help yourself. After growing up in a somewhat toxic environment, she's learned to do almost everything herself. Stay ready so you don't have to get ready.
Compassion: Innocent until proven guilty. Aseka believes that you should treat others as you want to be treated, no matter how hurt you are. Be aware! Help uplift yourself and your peers - you never know who's sitting beside you, nor what connections they may have. Karma is real.
Loyalty: See no evil, speak no evil. Devotion is hard to come by. Once you have it, you'd best fight hard to keep it. To have someone stand by you regardless of the situation or outcome is what it means to me to be rich.
