trivia.png「 ✦ TRIVIA QUESTIONS ✦ 」

What is the student council and what do they do?:

The student council is a group of students who help the faculty support the school and keep everything running normal, they are kind of the link between the students and the faculty, they help talk about problems, questions, suggestions and ideas from the students. Council members help maintain order during school hours by giving detention to the students that need it and also organize school events

What motivated you to apply for council? (e.g. Interests, friends, etc.):

I was motivated to apply due to a friend of mine sending the announcement of the applications being open, I’ve always wanted for my character to be in a team or become a councilor so I thought why not apply, these are the only reasons I’m also looking for more roleplay opportunities. I’m also currently in the teacher faction so I already know some stuff about the school and how to give out detentions and such.

Are you aware that you’ll be having to use your creativity and teamwork ethic within the student council? (e.g. Coming up and helping with events):

I am aware of this!

Can you list the roles in the council along with other roles that might be important to the council?:

⊹₊˚‧︵‿₊୨ President ୧₊‿︵‧˚₊⊹

→ This is the highest rank in the councillor team, they kind of lead the student council, oversee the activities, represent the students and probably also host meetings.

⊹₊˚‧︵‿₊୨ Vice-President ୧₊‿︵‧˚₊⊹

→ This is the second highest rank in the council team, they help the president with their duties, and they fill in for the president when they’re unavailable

⊹₊˚‧︵‿₊୨ Councillors ୧₊‿︵‧˚₊⊹

→ They help make the school a safe and fun place and also make sure that everyone follows the rules by helping the faculty and students. They also organize events for the students, give out detentions, and address the students' concerns with SLT.

⊹₊˚‧︵‿₊୨ Faculty ୧₊‿︵‧˚₊⊹

→ These are the teachers, professors, and employees who work with the council to make sure that rules are followed and that the school runs normal and smooth . They also give out detentions!

⋆ SCENARIOS ⋆

While students gather for a school assembly, one student behaves disruptively, causing a disturbance. How would you manage the situation to restore order effectively while minimizing any additional disruptions to the assembly?

He scratched the back of his head trying to come up with an answer.

Uhh, at first I would quietly watch what’s going on instead of just reacting like really fast because it might be because of someone else, after that I’d use signals, such as eye contact or hand gestures to tell them to stop disturbing. IF the behavior continued, I would go up to them to ask if they can walk outside with me really quick. I would speak with the student to understand why they’re disrupting the event since there’s always an underlying issue and then also remind them some people are trying to focus and they they should have an appropriate behavior during assemblies, this way everyone can continue listening, and I think that’s it, heh.

He let out a small chuckle due to nervousness

A student refuses to take their mask off after you’ve brought up detention and they’ve run away! What do you do?

If a student would run away, I genuinely wouldn’t run after them, I don't need other students to get hurt in the meantime. What I would do is radio to the other councillors and tell them about what happened and if they see them walking around school and after that I’d to up to a faculty member so they can intercom the student to the receptionist desk.

He quietly adjusted the way he was seated

Once the faculty member intercommed them there we will wait for them there if he or she doesn't come, they will have to involve SLT, and they will deal with it further.

A teacher observes concerning behavior from a student, including the creation of disturbing artwork and verbal threats toward peers. How would you collaborate with the teacher to evaluate the situation and intervene appropriately to address potential safety concerns?

If I noticed concerning behaviour such as disturbing artworks and verbal threats, I would ask the teacher if they need help with the student if not then I’ll just let them handle but i will still be available nearby in case they do need the help after some time, but if they do need the help instantly I’d talk to the student asking why they did that and also tell them to behave appropriately if the behaviour continued or gained further concerns I would report it to the teacher so SLT can get involved and handle the situation further!

He let out a sigh of relief, he’s almost done answering questions…

A group of students asks for your permission to stage a protest on school grounds. Would you allow them to protest? If so, how do you ensure that the protest does not disrupt the school environment while upholding their freedom of expression?

He stared and asked “Do people really still protest…?”

Well, I guess if a group of students would ask me if they could protest I wouldn’t immediately say no, as they should be allowed to express their own opinions. Before they start the protest I would make sure they will follow the rules or if it won't put anyone at risk, ofcourse I will also ask what it’s about!

Once they’re gonna start I’d let faculty know about this so they can help find a spot when and where they could do their protest. I would also remind them to make sure they will follow the rules and won't disturb any class or hurt any students, if they do they will have to stop and possibly get detention for their actions.

A teacher/receptionist has told you that you are doing something that goes against what you were trained by your higher-ups. How would you react to this?

If a faculty member told me I was doing something wrong, I would ask them to explain what I did wrong so I can understand they mean. After they told me what I did wrong I’d let them know how I was trained to handle the situation, without getting mad or frustrated.

If there was a disagreement which there won't be, I would ask another councilor or higher up to tell them how we were trained to handle that. If it turns out I made a mistake I would take full responsibility and apologize for wasting their time and ofcourse correct the way I handle it in the future. I would stay professional and calm without becoming defensive

Please provide at least one detailed event that the council can use as a future event to showcase your creativity! (Must be 300 words or more for one event):

⋆。˚୨ Murder Mystery ୧˚。⋆
Every clue matters

This would, of course, be a one day event like most of the events, an after school murder mystery where students will take part in an investigation of, of course, a fictional case. The storyline would be school appropriate and it would be more focusing on investigating. Students can team up or play the game on their own. They will be given clues, statements from witnesses and of course tasks to complete.

How would it work, you may ask? That's a very good question… he said as a joke, aha! Councilors will be playing as witnesses or suspects, and they will be put in different classrooms. Groups will be allowed to go to all the classrooms to gather information, ask questions, and put the pieces together. The councillors will also be making sure the rules are followed and also help groups if they’re stuck somewhere.

At the end of the event, all groups will have to submit their final answers. Once they have done that the person who did it will be revealed, after that the councillors will be telling them how they would have figured out it was that person!

The purpose of this event is to teach them how to work in a team, they learn how to solve problems and they have the chance to make new friends by teaming up with random students. This event also teaches them how to be creative.

As another activity for this event, we could have the photography club take pictures of the students playing, the classrooms, and the groups. They would have a photobooth for this. Maybe we could also have the performing arts club involved, since they do like to act, why don’t they join the council team as witnesses and suspects!

Name:

Mateo Akori, but some people call me Mat or ‘Teo

Gender:

Male!

Age:

I’m 20 years old, apparently that's old these days?

Phone number:

Oh my number, let me see… it’s (+81) (030)-047-9243

How would you describe your personality?:

Hmm, my personality that’s a very good question . . . I would say I’m friendly, reliable and really easy to get along with. I’m also pretty strong and athletic, and I really like to stay active which is why I run around Karakura ALOT. I can also be a little goofy sometimes or well not little… I just am really goofy from time to time and a bit chaotic sometimes especially when hanging with my friends. I do know when to act serious and responsible though! Even when I joke around I always make sure I get things done and that people can rely on my help!

Appearance/attire (Please provide a picture):

I have multiple outfits but these are the ones I like the most!

What separates you from other applicants seeking your position?:

Hmm, I’d say what separates me from other applicants is that I'm a very open minded person and I always listen to people and their point of view on situations, I work great in teams which is kinda because of photography club, I'm not just great working in teams but I would say I’m also a hard worker and I put effort into what I do, I’m also familiar with the rules in school!

Why do you want this position?:

I heard that the council team was still looking for 4 new members so I thought why shouldn’t I apply? I recently did a photoshoot with the whole council team and it looked like a really fun team and I would love to be apart of it! Not only that but I also want to help them maintain order in school!

What interests you the most about student council?:

What interests me the most about joining the student council is being able to work in such a big team while helping the faculty and students at the same time, I want to also support the other councillors for if they would need someone to talk to. I also see it as a great way to meet new people and make more friends since you of course work together everyday, it also just looks like a really fun team to be apart of!

What could you contribute to make the school a safe and fun environment?:

I haven’t actually thought about this. . . I think I would be able to contribute to it by being someone the students feel comfortable approaching to of course talk to someone if they want and/or if they need help with something. I wouldn’t be a strict councillor because nobody really likes a school where they’re really strict and where you’re not allowed to do anything, I’d just be a calm and fair councillor. So I would say by being approachable and reliable that I’d keep the school both safe and a fun environment!
