What experiences do you have with roleplay?:

GANG RP:

My experience in the world of GangRP or simply CrimeRP has played a massive role in enhancing my roleplay skills. At first, I struggled to adapt to DetailRP. I wasn't sure on where to start, nor was I comfortable actually starting to do activities for my gang. Then I realised that I wanted to climb the ranks in my gang, so I worked and trained everyday on my writing and detailing skills. When I finally found out where to start, I thought of writing the things that I would do in general in real life so I stuck to that. Then thanks to that idea I got really good into DetailRP. I also made sure to learn every single Rule in SRP to make sure to not accidentally break any.

Over time, I got good at detailing my actions, all thanks to my quick learning skills and the constructive criticism that had been given to me by my gang. I also started getting positive feedback from others in the GangRP community. I think that DetailRP is a key element in any roleplay, whether it's SchoolRP, RomanceRP, FamilyRP or CrimeRP. DetailRP brings a profound level of realism and immersiveness to actions.

Family RP:

Ever since I have joined SchoolRP I have been involved in a variety of families, roleplaying out numerous activities, such as family dinners, family meetings, general family hang outs, weddings of family members and also at times disputes. I’d really like to thank Niko who is the leader of the Hatake family. The Hatake family is the family that I have been in for over a year, so much has happened over the past year and a half, it had its peak and then its downfall. Our roleplay was really good, I met a lot of my friends that are still with me to this day. Our roleplay was so good, and I’m very proud of it to this day.

Along the years I made new friends and joined other families such as, these families I have left/been removed from because of purges or other issues; The Mayumi family, The Navarro family, The Lacrosse family, The Heydari family, The Mora family, The Holland family and The Nakazumi family. But there are numerous families that I am still inside of such as; The Jin-Ryuk family, The Kohima family, The Blaise family, The Hatake family, The Takada family, The Fujimoto family and The Grimes family. All these families are ones that I have a deep care for even to this day; whether I'm still inside or not. Though I have left multiple people, I still deeply care for them.

Council RP:

November sixth marks the day I was accepted into the High School Council faction. I have now been in it for a little over two weeks, however it feels like I have been in it for much longer. I roleplay so much in it, being online every single day, playing for countless hours. My character is growing in so much lore, discovering so many things. Her life is full of excitement, drama and an intriguing chain of events. The faction is teaching me things during school hours such as responsibility. The biggest factor that I OOCLY struggle with is to have to separate Kira’s out of school life and in school life. Over the past week I can admit that I have gotten used to it now, and find it rather easy, which I think will help me, if I get accepted as a Judge to separate my IC feelings out of work with my Judgement.

What is your motivation for applying?

I believe joining the Hospital faction would give me the opportunity to take part in meaningful and immersive roleplay. I genuinely enjoy DetailRP, writing, and P2L-ing, and I always put effort into making my roleplay engaging and lore focused. The Hospital faction especially appeals to me because of the high level of DetailRP and strong world building I have seen from its members. Watching Hospital workers build on established lore and create realistic medical scenarios has made me very interested in being part of the faction. Writing is a major passion of mine, and I am active in several tailoring Discord servers, mainly Thrift Shop, while also serving as the Head of the Writing Department within Cartier. I am currently active within the Council, which has helped me develop consistent, serious roleplay and an understanding of lore based decision making. Alongside this, I am very interested in modern medicine and would love to learn more through an IC progression. From my past experience in the Professor faction, I know that even starting with little knowledge, being involved and dedicated allows you to learn the subject over time. I believe I could bring that same dedication to the Hospital faction and contribute positively to its roleplay.

Character’s Full Name:

Upon entering the room Ashton bowed before the interviewer; a common courtesy in Japan. He listened attentively to the interviewer’s question then opened his mouth to speak. His voice came out firm, calm and had a spark of confidence. “The name’s Ashton Jin-Ryuk.” He replied, his eyes trailing the interviewer’s face to look for any sign of discomfort. He tapped his finger tips onto the table patiently, his eyes roaming around the room.

Character’s Gender and Pronouns:

He thought for a moment, processing the rapid oral questionnaire making sure not to mishear or not hear anything. He ran a hand through his hair. “I identify as a male so Mr Jin-Ryuk works just fine.” He explained, thinking that it was pretty obvious. His eyes kept darting around, noticing some random details, like how the clock hadn’t been moving, or how a book was out of place on the mini shelf.

Character’s Age (if accepted):

He nodded along whilst the interviewer asked his next question. He adjusted his tie, making sure he was looking dapper. “I am currently at the age of thirty two.” He replied, a light hint in his tone that this wasn’t a difficult question for him.

Character’s Academic Background:

Whilst the interviewer was speaking Ashton had already understood the next question; his degrees. He pulled his briefcase from the floor, setting it onto the desk. He carefully unlocked the front and pulled it open. Inside laid a variety of different papers, including his bachelor's degree in Medicine. “I have a Bachelor’s degree in Medicine.” A pause followed. “I went to Harvard then moved to Japan.” He explained, pushing the certificate towards the interviewer.

Character’s Nationality:

Ashton thought for a moment, his fingers subconsciously tapped against his palm, he thought about when he was born, where exactly. “I was born in New York, but I am Russian because of my mother being Russian." He smiled at the interviewer.

Character’s Marital Status:

Ashton tilted his head to the side; pondering about his past relationship. "I used to date women and men back in New York but over time those relationships just faded away." He tapped his finger nails on his palm.

Character’s Religious Denomination:

He was ready to admit this to the interviewer, he had never spoken about religion before "I am a proud atheist" he spoke "I was born to believe in a higher power, but not in any particular god"

Character’s Spoken Languages:

The male cleared his throat, his tongue clicking once. "I speak Russian and Japanese." His eyes observed the room, the bookshelf tucked into the side of it.

Character Backstory (Optional):

Early Life

Ashton was born in the countryside of Osaka near the Nishinari ku border. Growing up in a struggling area he witnessed the harsh consequences of violence and poor public health firsthand. While some turned to crime Ashton was drawn to the local clinic fascinated by the nurses and doctors who mended broken bones and offered comfort. He learned that care and stability were the true antidotes to the chaos around him. His dream became Karakura Island renowned for its advanced tranquil hospitals and universal healthcare system
.
His father left when Ashton was five promising support from a new job in Tokyo that never materialized. By eight Ashton understood they were abandoned. He and his older brother Samuel often lashed out at their overburdened mother for the things she couldn’t afford. Ashton channelled his frustration into studying while Samuel seeking power and belonging joined a local Yakuza group the Ranzenkai.

At fifteen Ashton began working as a pharmacy delivery boy and orderly’s assistant at the local clinic. He loved the sense of purpose. One day while making a delivery he witnessed the clinic staff expertly stabilize a victim of gang violence. He also saw the fear in their eyes when members of the Ranzenkai came to intimidate the patient. Ashton secretly provided information about the gang’s movements to the clinic director helping them anticipate and avoid trouble. He believed protecting this sanctuary was his duty.

Tragedy struck when he found his brother Samuel in an abandoned warehouse victim of a gang execution. A note pinned to him read "snitches get stitches." Devastated and fearing for his family Ashton knew he had to leave. He packed his bags and fled to his promised land Karakura.

Education & Development

Money was tight so Ashton worked nights as an orderly at Karakura General Hospital while attending a nearby college’s pre med program. To his surprise he excelled. The sciences came naturally and his hands on hospital experience gave him profound context. He quickly rose to the top of his class. He graduated as Valedictorian dedicating his speech to the fragility of life and his commitment to preserving it.

Life Changing Events

Back in Osaka Ashton’s mother distraught over both sons disappearance confronted the leader of the Ranzenkai. Enraged that Ashton had evaded him the leader sent a final message Ashton’s mother was killed. Ashton was shattered consumed by guilt. But his grief forged a new resolution. He wouldn't seek violent revenge. Using his old contacts he helped authorities build a medical forensic case against the gang tracing illicit pharmaceuticals and providing evidence of their injuries. The investigation led to the Ranzenkai’s dismantling. With justice served he fully committed to his new life and purpose on Karakura.

Moral Compass

The profound losses Ashton experienced losing his brother and mother to violence forged an unshakeable moral code. He believes in compassionate care but not naivete understanding that true healing requires both empathy and firm boundaries. He prefers calm conversation and explanation over conflict believing that understanding fosters deeper compliance and recovery than authority alone. His experiences have given him a preternatural calm in the face of crisis and a deep respect for the sanctity of life.

Experience Before the Hospital

To support himself through his education Ashton worked long shifts as a Certified Psychiatrist Assistant at Karakura General. He also took a part time job as a patient safety monitor at a private rehabilitation clinic. The grueling schedule demanded immense discipline.

His reputation grew quickly. Colleagues and supervisors praised his preternatural calm during crises a code blue a violent patient a grieving family. He had a gift for de escalation and spotting subtle signs of patient decline before monitors sounded. His diligence and leadership earned him a promotion to Lead CNA and a trainer for new staff where he excelled at mentoring with patience and clarity. He eventually left the clinic job to focus on his hospital role and further his education becoming a Licensed Practical Nurse.

Turning Point

The phone call from his old contact in Osaka was a cold shock the leader of the Ranzenkai had been released on a technicality due to lost evidence. In that moment Ashton’s path became clear. He saw how corruption and systemic failure could unravel justice and poison the institutions meant to heal and protect. He decided to combat that decay from within the system he revered. He enrolled in a medical bridge program to become a Registered Psychiatrist. He graduated with highest honours and due to his exceptional maturity crisis management skills and profound understanding of patient advocacy.

What is your character’s medical speciality? Why did they choose this focus?

He chose this path for a deeply personal and professional reason rooted in his past. Having witnessed the psychological impact of violence, loss, and systemic failure in Osaka, Ashton developed a profound understanding that true healing must address both the mind and the body. The emergency psychiatry unit represents the critical point of intervention for many mental health crises a place where calm assessment, non judgmental understanding, and decisive the****utic action can prevent further harm and begin the process of recovery. It is also where he can use his forensic training to understand the psychological underpinnings of trauma and victimization, helping both patients and the justice system navigate complex cases. For Ashton, psychiatry is not just about treating symptoms it is about restoring mental order, advocating for those in psychological distress, and protecting the mental well being of a community as a vital part of its overall health.

Does your character have any work experience in medical positions?

Based on the provided backstory, Ashton has extensive work experience in medical positions. He began as an orderly and pharmacy delivery assistant in a clinic in Osaka during his youth. After moving to Karakura, he worked nights as an orderly at Karakura General Hospital while studying. He later became a Certified Nursing Assistant and a patient safety monitor at a rehabilitation clinic, was promoted to Lead CNA, and advanced to become a Licensed Practical Nurse. He ultimately became a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department before specializing further to become a psychiatric physician with a Doctor of Medicine.

Describe your character; how do they look, what makes them unique? How would they be perceived by others?

To look at him you wouldn't guess his history. Ashton looks like someone built for calm. He keeps his dark hair neat his clothes simple and dark the kind that says he's here to work not be seen. He has an average build and a steady quiet posture you often see in people who work in hospitals where being a still point in a storm is part of the job. What makes him different isn't how he looks but the quiet he carries. It's not an empty quiet it's a focused one. When things get stressful he doesn't get louder he gets stiller. It's a calm that feels earned like he's seen chaos up close and decided not to let it in. Patients tend to feel safe around him because he listens more than he talks. Colleagues see him as the reliable one the person who thinks clearly when everything else is loud. Some might find him hard to read at first but it becomes clear his reserve isn't coldness it's just how he holds space for others without getting in the way.

How does your character act around the hospital?

Tugging on his tie slightly, he adjusted it back into its proper place. “In a clinical setting, I will obviously maintain the highest level of professionalism. I would never be the one to undermine a colleague during a patient consultation or disrupt the the****utic environment during a critical intervention. I think it’s basic professional respect.” Ashton genuinely believed that in the midst of patient care, respecting his fellow practitioners was fundamental. He would stay composed and serious. “On a side note, during informal settings, I enjoy sharing lighthearted moments with colleagues, telling stories, and being more relaxed. Since it’s a relatively stress-free environment.” A quiet chuckle escaped him, as Ashton had always been fond of harmless, simple humor. He honestly looked forward to connecting with his fellow staff during quieter moments.

Does your character function better on their own or with others?

Ashton's gaze settled onto the interviewer's for a split moment. He spoke softly but firmly. His voice would still be full of confidence. “My colleagues are people who have proven themselves. If they are here working by my side in this hospital, or even if I am working beneath their guidance, it means they have proven themselves capable and worthy through rigorous training. I have immense respect for anyone in this field, as the work is difficult and demands true passion to sustain it.” He paused for a moment, a flicker of light shining in his eyes. “I firmly believe in the necessity of a team. In a crisis psychiatry unit, without the support of my colleagues, a patient's safety and our own could be compromised at any moment.” He tapped his fingernails lightly on the desk. “The trust we build is everything. If I am to place my well being on the line for a patient or a situation, it is only within a team where I know that same dedication is reciprocated.”
